[MOD][4.1.2+] Volume Rocker Wake - HTC Wildfire S

So many of us have the almost broken power button and it creates problem in waking up phone so here's easy way to enable volume rocker wake
This is useful for people who use CM or PA based rom as AOKP and PAC already has volume wake feature
1) Download Xposed Module from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
2) Install the framework and reboot
3) Download and Install this Module http://d-h.st/PeV
4) Open Xposed Framework app then open Modules and Tick the Modaco toolkit module
5) Click the Modaco toolkit module and then go to "device Specific" and press HTC One
6) Tick "Enable Volume Wake" option and then reboot
Congrats now you have enabled volume wake , though it was made for HTC One but still it works on our device

Thanks......The power button really holds me back on installing some roms

4.2.2 fix

Please note that this won't work on 4.2.2 as Xposed doesn' support sdk 17. To get Volume rocker on 4.2.2 is a little advanced.
1) Extract the Settings.apk and framework-res.apk of your rom
2) Install framework using "apktool if framework-res.apk"
3) Decompile Settings.apk using "apktool d Settings.apk"
4) Open up values/bools.xml using Gedit or Notepad++
5) Look for the line that says "hasVolumeRockerWake"
6) Change the value of that line from false to true
7) Now save and close
8) Recompile apk using "apktool b Settings"
9) In the folder named dist your finished apk will be there
10) Sign your apk
11) Install as system app
12) If you now go into Settings>Display there will be an option to enable Volume Rocker Wake
Note:
If after you installed the apk the app doesn't appear then follow this information.

Xposed framework is experimental on Gingerbread(the official developer does'nt support it).........so I doubt this would work on sense 2.1

***Stock ET4G Theme*** (deoxeded) Updated 09-29-2011

In the interest of Community and Theming in general I wanted everyone to have the Stock Framework so you could revert back if you so choose... Also themers please feel free to use the zips here to build your themes (they update System UI correctly). ANYONE can use this or any of my work... It's all about sharing in my opinion. Thats what ANDROID is all about... LET THE THEMING BEGIN!!
Instructions
1. You MUST have a deoxeded Rom.
2. After downloading the zip Put the zip in your phone files (not IN a file on the root or you phones file system (hint it shows as a disk when you hook up to your pc via usb).
3.. Go into recovery CWM (I use quickboot which is great and FREE on the market so i can go directly into recovery without shutting the phone off).
a.Start by turning the phone OFF.
b. Hold the volume up (or louder) button down. Then press the power at the same time and hold them both down. It boots into recovery CWM (its ORANGE in color)...
4. Using the up/down (volume buttons) navigate to "install zip from sdcard" (hopefully you've already put the zip in your phone files, see #2), once its highlighted hit the power button.
5. Using the up/down (volume buttons) navigate to "choose zip from sdcard" and once its highlighted hit the power button.
6. Using the up/down (volume buttons) navigate to the zip you put on your phone and once its highlighted hit the power button.
7. Using the up/down (volume buttons) navigate to " Yes - Install "whatever your zip is.zip" and once its highlighted hit the power button.
8. LET IT DO IT'S THANG. Once it's done at the bottom it will say "Install from sdcard complete."
9. Using the up/down (volume buttons) navigate to "+++++Go Back+++++" and once its highlighted hit the power button.
10. Using the up/down (volume buttons) navigate to "reboot system now" and once its highlighted hit the power button.
11. HOLY CRAP BATMAN YOU ARE DONE!!
Thats all there to applying themes (zips) or Roms (that are zips).

This replaces my framework-res and twframework-res, but not my Systemui.apk. I believe it may have something to do with the updater script.
Thanks though .
EDIT: Nevermind, somehow I've accidentally placed my systemui.apk inside my framework folder, so it now overrides my current one in system/app. How on earth does one reverse this? LOL!

I was comparing our zips (my ObsidianRed) and I have my framework and app folders under system while yours is just in the root of the folder. Is your updater script edited to work that way? It's interesting because it's different.

[Tutorial] VERY SIMPLE ....Call Rec and status bar mod for odex MC2

First. I am not the dev and I am not the one to be questioned about ....
Second. I am just reporting a free METHOD that I am using to have Call record and some status bar mods available on my ODEXED MC2
Third. I have JKAY last version 14.93 with deluxe ... and for this I can anly modify the clock color on the status bar .... MAY BE THAT ... other mods are working on stock rom ... I really do not know
Fourth. I do not take any responsability for what are the consequences
The method in VERY SIMPLE STEPS is the following
1) Backup your ROM (you never know)
2) Download XPOSED FRAMEWORK from here (PRESS ON ZIP TAB)
you can have further info about XPOSED here .... also about how to uninstall it
3) Install XPOSED
4) Open XPOSED and press on the INSTALL/UPDATE
5) Reboot your phone
6) Download TWEAKBOX from here
7) Install TWEAKBOX
8) Go to XPOSED Installer, tap on "Modules" and enable TWEAKBOX.
9) Reboot again.
10) Open TWEAKBOX app, tap on ''Statusbar'' and adjust the settings you want
11) Download CALL RECORDING module from here (PRESS ON ZIP TAB)
many other modules are available here and here
I DID NOT TRY ......
12) Install CALL RECORDING module
13) Go to XPOSED Installer, tap on "Modules" and enable CALL RECORDING.
14) Open TWEAKBOX app, tap on ''phone'' and adjust the settings you want
15) Reboot.....
REMEMBER THAT CALL RECORDING WORKS ONLY AFTER THE MEDIA SCAN HAS FINISHED SACNNING YOUR FILES.....
I hope this may be useful
No comments ?????
I have been using it for a very long time and
I can guarantee that it is undeed a very useful mod as the title said

How to install Xposed Framework on the Huawei GX8/G8.

I was curious to know to how xposed framework can be installed on the Huawei GX8 so I went through different sites to find at least an easy way to do that but honestly i didn't find any easy steps. They are more or less complicated depending on the individual attempting the procedure. ok
It is advised to take complete backup before deodexing so that you can replace the deodexed apps with the odexed backups in case you face some Apps crashing. Deodexing is important in order to make xposed framework install successfully and use some modules as well.
Warning: You attempt this procedure at your own risk, bare in mind that I will not be held responsible if you brick your device for attempting this procedure.
Prerequisites:
Rooted device.
Fully functional TWRP recovery or any other recovery with File manager support.
Backup all your data & apps.
Download this APP for deodexing:https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0BwSanb5zBfFiaHN5MGV2ZnFqcVU&export=download
Deodexing the ROM:
Step 1: Extract the BatchAPKTool to your preferred location.
Step 2: Open BatchAPKTool.exe. Set Language to English when prompted.
Step 3: The tool will now ask you to chose task.
Step 4: Type 83 and set smali version to smali-2.1.2.jar by entering 2. Now type 84 and set Android API level to 21 (Android 5.0), 22 (Android 5.1.1) or 23 (Android 6.0). This value must match with the firmware you have currently installed on your device.
Step 5: Now connect your device to PC. Make sure USB Debugging Mode is enabled and necessary Huawei Drivers are installed.
Step 6: In BatchAPKTool window, type 13 and then enter 4. This will pull all files from /system/app , /system/framework , /system/priv-app from your device. This may take some time so wait patiently. (You might also do it manually using Root Explorer)
Step 7: Once it’s done press Enter to return to main BatchAPKTool Menu.
Step 8: We’ll now deodex the apps. Enter 01 in the tool. It will now ask you for your ARM version. Enter “arm” and press Enter. Wait for the process to be completed.
Step 9: In the directory where you have extracted BatchAPKTool, you’ll find three folders named _priv-app, _app and _framework. Remove the underscore from the folder names so that they are now priv-app, app and framework respectively.
Step 10: Create a new SYSTEM FOLDER and name it DEODEXED SYSTEM and copy those three folders inside it. Now copy the System folder to your SD card or Internal Memory.
Replacing Odexed Apps with Deodexed Apps:
1: Boot your device into recovery and backup System partition
2: Using the built in file manager in recovery, delete the app, framework and priv-app folders from your system partition.
VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure that in twrp in the "Mount" section the "Only mount system read-only" is unchecked in order to copy the files to system.
3: Now copy the app, framework and priv-app folders from system folder (which we copied to SD card or Internal) and paste them to the SYSTEM partition i.e. /system/
4: When done, reboot your device. First boot will be extremely long. Might take 20-30 minutes so be patient.
ALTERNATE METHOD:
NOTE: It may not be possible to copy files from one folder to another in recovery mode, so this is what i did...
1. Create a NEW FOLDER in your internal memory and name it ORIGINAL SYSTEM.
2. Copy PRIV-APP, APP and FRAMEWORK from the ORIGINAL SYSTEM FOLDER and paste it in the ORIGINAL SYSTEM FOLDER in the memory of your device.
3. Now copy the THREE files in the DEODEXED SYSTEM FOLDER to the ORIGINAL SYSTEM FOLDER in the root of your device.
4. Your device will reboot immediately the files are copied. The boot may take 20-30 minutes so be PATIENT..
Installing Xposed Framework.
1. Go to the official thread and download the latest version(xposed-v86-sdk23-arm64) for Marshmallow
2. Download the apk and the uninstaller arm zip just in case anything goes sideways you can flash the uninstaller to unistall xposed framework.
3. Install the apk file and flash the v80-sdk23-arm zip in recovery. Again device might take 20-30 minutes to boot.
4. For Android 6.0:
Open build.prop
add these lines ro.config.hwtheme=0
ro.config.hw_theme=0
For Android 5.0-5.1.1:
Open local.prop (in system/emui/base/prop/local.prop)
add these lines ro.config.hwtheme=0
ro.config.hw_theme=0
The commands is to ACTIVATE the framework.
Thanks to mfbcool for the guide and Rockchip for Batch tool.
