[Q] Windows mobile 6 - Hardships to get call info! - C, C++, C# and Other Windows Phone Development

Hello body(s)
As a matter of fact, I faced to a monster problem(absolutely in my view) . Initially I'm a PHP/C++ developer but I'd like to make a Microsoft Wm6 program on phone calls topic.
I'm trying to get information about incoming calls like caller id/number,... . In addition, I hadn't enough experience and knowledge about C#.net. I've been tried about Microsoft.WindowsMobile.telephony and Microsoft.WindowsMobile.status references(classes) but I have not being successful yet.
If anyone knows around it and helps me Who makes me Happy
regards,

Best Regards.....

no one ???
Hi zairyaab,
to make it short: there seems to be no way to do that (I guess otherwise someone would have already done it).
For longer explanation and further informations, please use the forum's search function (which is always a good idea before posting questions).
Greetings,
BGK
no one?thanks!
"there seems to be no way to do that (I guess otherwise someone would have already done it)."
just because it hasnt been done dont mean it's not possible...id like to see this software....it took ages for the MDA unlock to arrive and everyone was saying that couldnt be done...so make these statements with caution.
anyone with anything positive thing to say about answerphone software for a pocket windows device?
hi there
i do not know it can be done or not but i have an idea
i have a caller firewall software which i got from this forum, if someone (XDA GURU's like Buzz, Darek, JOJO, DCS) pick that program and take that further and when someone calls go to the pre recored msg and record after that msg put some sort of timer to release the call between the msg play time
i dono if it will work or not its just an idea
Hope someone will develope this kind of software
Regards
GUGI
try search
it's been up in the forum Millions of times
last i heard then the auto answer function in the software
was not supported in the gsm module so there was
no autopicking up the phone to start the answering machine

BA - 3 beeps when calling out

howdy folks
thanks for the great site.
ive had my BA for over a year...despite the occassional hangup it works fairly well. however all of a sudden when i try to make an outgoing call other than to my voicemail i get 3 beeps and the call is then ended. the weird thing is that this doesnt happen all of the time and with no apparent pattern.
i cant understand why this is happening as i havenet changed any of the software / network.
please help me !! i'm very tempted to see how many pieces i can break it into with one throw.

That is the behaviour of a network barred handset.
Richard
hey thanks for the reply
however there is no reason for my phone to be network barred ! i bought the phone while on the o2 network, had it unlocked and have been on vodafone for over a year with it working fine. i understand if it was barred it would block all my calls (maybe except vmail). thing is the 3 beeps i get are intermittant and dont happen with every call.
do you think it could be something to do with changes to vodafone and the way the xda works with vodafone. i'm not a techie person, but even this reason sounds unlikely to me.
any further ideas would be appreciated
many thanks
ramir
oh yeah...forgot to mention...i've had the phone since new and am the 1st and only owner of it
i get this sometimes also... and i think mine has to do with wm5, but im not for sure....
ok but i'm running WM2003se
is there anything that you do to your mobile to get it to dial out?
does anyone think that a rom upgrade or a radio upgrade may solve my problem?

WM6 (all available) no ring - no unaswered call

Hi all, I have tried all the available ROM`s (flashing geek...cannot help myself )...but I have even encountered the same issue. Friends told me they have called me and they rang for 15-20 sec but my phone haven`t rang and even there are no missed calls in the call list...I have tried all the radio ROM available but the same issue....anyone have the same issue? I love my device but because of this issue I`m intended to change it for a "standard" Nokia, SE or some other phone....it is really annoying that I have a business call, the phone don`t ring for me (but for the caller it is ringing!), and even I don`t see an important missed call...
Regards,
Primoz
i can second this, i have flashed more time than i have had hot dinners, and i have the same problem..
Do you have also some problems with receiving SMS?...cause I had some problems also with this...so I told my friends rather to call me than send SMS....but now I`m in a bad situation with this issue...
Regards,
Primoz
Have you installed any phone skin ?
No just the original one I found in the ROM...in this case the ROM in my signature...
Regards,
Primoz

Kind of call-filter software searched

Hi,
i have problems to find the rioght software. Perhaps anyone could help?
I´m looking for a call-filter software that:
- does not block incoming calls, it just mute them
- works together with contact-groups
- freeware is good, working is best
I just find software that switches into a "busy-mode" or returning an sms. I want that the caller gets a "normal signal of ringing" and me no signal. I put now wm 6.5 on my phone, but if needed i switch back to 6.1.
Thank you and sorry for my english, technical words are not in my dictionary...
Greetings from Hamburg

Certainly MagicCall. Only it is not free
Hi,
thanks a lot. It seems to work on my upgraded phone and does exactly what i want. Now i (and my family) have less problems on weekend managing private and business calls.
Nice U liked it. I also like the interface. Looks pro and not fetish at all

Call recording on Desire (android)

Hi!
I have a question if its possible to record incoming and outgoing calls on the Desire.
+1 !!!!
2-way phone recording need very much!
Dear All:
001.
Anybody has any positive experience with Ultimate Voice Recorder running on the HTC Desire (in the field of calls recording)?
002.
UVR on N1 seems to have problems with recording of the second party's voice, but on the US market this can actually be an "intentional" configuration/setup of the device.
003.
If same issues are present on the Desire how likely it is to get "fix" like the 2WayRecording? I have successfully used it on my TYTN2 together with Resco Audio Recorder to alleviate second party's voice recording issues.
+1 !!!!

any solution?

Desire and Ultimate Voice Recorder 2.3.4
Hi,
an "In Call Recording function" would be nice to have. I partially was succesful with the Ultimate Voice Recorder 2.3.4 which was able to record the remote person very silent, but still recognizable.
Same problems as I had with Windows Mobile 6: I used to have a T-Mobile Ameo (HTC Advantage x7501, Code name Athena) which would only record the other side's person in speaker mode.
More or less bad luck until now, as I expected Android-devices being superiour in this matter!
Greetings.
shame this, my c905 did it out of the box flawlessly
Hy guys, I just installed on my Desire (Android 2.1) something from the market called vRecoreder.
Used it once running in the background and it recorded my conversation (the recorded volume is kind low, but you understand).
Give it a try.
ps: had to uninstall all my call voice recorders that run in the background.

Update: it records .3gpp (hence the bad quality i think) and aparently records only incoming calls. Must test more though.
Two ways call recording is depending upon hardware construction same like wm and symbian. For example if wm, Asus and Samsung can but HTC cannot, whereas if in symbian case, Nokia can but Samsung cannot. This conclusion comes from my long experience with the aforementioned mobile phones. Have not tested with Garmin Asus android yet as it is not available in my market but believe this one can.

I'm sorry, but I have an exception on that theory right here.
My Touch Diamond wouldn't do a two way recording whatever I tried. Until I switched to a custom (WM6.5.1) ROM, there it worked fine. So no hardware issue, it was a ROM issue.

I second this, as in a few Win Mobile threads discussed (no link at hand, sorry) there are registry values to be manipulated for successful two-way-voice recording. As far as I remember Microsoft and HTC stated that being NOT possible to record 2-way (without speaker mode), were hardware (design!) related facts and decisions made - until someone figured it out otherwise, by accident! (As a prior Win Mobile user: praise him!)
Not being able to record calls in Android phones is really sad.
The Palm system was able to do it from day one.
In fact the largest selling single piece of software for a smart phone ever is
Qmobilsoft's "Callrec" for palm.
So what does that say for a needed feature.
P.S. The Palm OS is now over 15 years old.

It worked on my Touch Pro2 as well, but seems as though the stock rom was on there for around 10 mins i dont know if it worked out of the box or not.
AirVoice claims to be able to do this. Unfortunately in my experience it just doesn't
Hi falks!
The situation is easyer, then you think.
The hardware and the software are ready to record 2way the phone conversations. We have only one problem: we doesn't have any software, which would do it for us.
At this time is the only solution the Ultimate Voice Recorder, which records the outgoing voice perfect, and the incoming voice very quiet.
Total Recall is the other software, which could be able to do this feature, unfortunatelly it does it only under 1.6, so on our phone - HTC Desire - doesn't works.
For the moment... maybe turn the speakerphone on... and record the whole conversation with another phone! Hahaa... lmao!
is there apps for 2 way rec
or only wish centar

Agreed but I had HTC Touch Cruise too and did adjust the registry value up to 5 in the Sound Categories using Memmaid software. The incoming call recording improve but very slightly indeed and is too far to compare with the clear quality from my Samsung i780 using Vito audio note in non speaker phone for both. Finally sold the HTC out and bought Asus P552w and very happy with the unit. Suggest to know and choose the right hardware from the start otherwise one has to learn how to play with registry or cooked rom and run the risk of losing warranty if does not know how to flash back the official rom.

No one here can confirm that Desire can do this yet. Samsung Spica and Galaxy S are reported to fail to record incoming call
