Nice!:good: I've seen some good reviews for zerolemon batteries. I want to eventually buy some myself. I heard the zerolemon charger takes ages to charge the battery though but the batteries themselves are solid.

It charges it quick its a 3000 mh battery and slim no bulky case

let us know if you get extra juice with it, other 3000 mah batteries with no size change seem to be equal or less in my experience.

Works good get about 20 hrs

That is for S4, not S4 Active, I assume the two batteries are different .

The S4 (GS4) and the S4 Active (GS4A) share the same battery, thankfully: 2600 mAh stock, same size, specs, everything. I got a brand new one from Samsung just a few days ago (used that 50% coupon code they offered me when I registered my GS4A) and here's shots of the packaging:

2 batteries are same, actually most parts are same, or else the cost would be much higher for Samsung.

I've seen some (S4, I think) reviews that say that the battery is a bit thicker than the original one and, that the back cover bulges a bit. Does this happen with the S4 Active as well? Having more betteries sounds nice but, I don't really want to have my water resistant phone become less resistant because of the battery.

when you say "no bulky case", I assume you're using your stock back cover. Can you answer the question below?

Yes, they actually got delivered yesterday but the instructions say to charged them for 12 hours before use for optimal performance. I just put them in so no I can't make comment on battery life as of yet.
The packing was all quite nice/professional and the batteries feel solid. The postage also came well within estimated time frame.
Are they bigger than the Samsung batteries (in physical size)? Yes, they are noticeably thicker if you put the batteries end to end by maybe a millimetre. Would this compromise your water-seal? I can't say for sure, but I would not risk dunking the device in a bath tub while it has a zero-lemon in it.
I will do a better review tomorrow after some proper use.

I will get to the water-resistance first and then move onto other aspects in this review as I think that's what most people are concerned about.
I did several tests, but the ultimate outcome is that the zerolemon does compromise the seal. I put the bottom of the phone in a bowl of water for about 5 seconds with a samsung battery and then for 30 seconds, neither time did the seal break. I then did the same with the zero lemon. After 5 seconds, it appeared to be solid. After 30 seconds, the water had flowed in. I only put the bottom of the phone in as there is essentially little to worry about getting wet there. I would not expect the phone to survive being dropped in a pool or bathtub with a zero-lemon. Maybe a sink or toilet bowl if rescued quickly.
Continued review hidden:
As for battery life, it makes me through a full day of heavy use. While using samsung batteries, I would carry around a spare with me but I feel I wont need to do that anymore. This is still a very good option if you don't feel like sacrificing your water resistance or NFC. YOU WILL LOSE NFC. Zero lemon is able to give you that extra 400mah of power by removing NFC. This is fine for me, because NFC hasn't really been utilised in Australia by mobile phones yet, but with the expected release of Google Wallet here in the near future, I'll be keeping my Samsung batteries nearby. This leads me onto how I expect to use my batteries:
I think I will be using my zero-lemon while mostly on (long) day trips for work or fun around the city. I can carry the spare around if I think I may need to, but I doubt it. I also feel there would be less water hazards as compared to at home. At home, I will be using the samsung batteries as I feel I'm far more likely to get the phone wet at home where there are sinks, bathtubs, toilets, buckets of water, etc. I can also switch out on of my now four batteries at any time without having to carry it on me. I think the zero-lemons will become spares once NFC takes off in Australia, assuming I still have the S4A at that point.
The "worlds fastest charger" takes the same amount of time to charge a zero lemon battery as the samsung charger does to charge the samsung battery. This does mean that the charger is a fair amount faster. I haven't tested how long it takes to charge a samsung battery in the "worlds fastest charger" as I don't want to damage the samsung batteries and I am of the belief that the batteries actually limit the charge speed if you're not using an official Samsung charger(?).
One last thing about the batteries. If you look on the bottom of your Samsung batteries, there are little point bits that I assume are there purely to hold the battery in place. The Zero Lemon's are missing these, but the battery is already a very tight fit anyway, but it could be something to keep in mind.
If there's anything else you think I've forgotten, then let me know and I'll edit it in.

thx for your replies!!!! god blessed you

I also received my zerolemon batteries a couple of days ago. I have to say that they work really great and they hold charge a significant bit longer than the original samsung battery. i have now more than a normal usage day.
But it is then true that they are a bit bigger and there is now a small gap in the back cover, under the speaker, where water could sneak in if the phone were immerged.. which is not so cool
Regarding the wall charger I couldnt say much since I live in Europe and it is designed for US wall power points... I might aswell get my hands on an adapter.. no hurry anyway.
all in all they are really good batteries.
cheers

hi would that battery fit the i9295 variant?
i have an S4 active i9295 and was considering buying an original s4 battery but wasn't sure if it would fit my phone, can anyone verify?

Wow. No offense but I'm slightly worried it might burn the phone. Rather go with the official Samsung battery release of 2000 mAh.

Yeah, Mugen makes quality batteries... It is not some 10$ ****
Urghh, all that extra thickness on the phone and expense for an extra half days usage (according to the real world usage stated on the youtube video).
I've got it and it's more than doubled my phone's life... with Data and auto sync always on.
It's more like a 4200 mah battery.
I get about 20 hours with Data, auto sync & Bluetooth always on
Wifi is on for about 10 - 12 hours a day also.
I got 65 Hours on a single charge with data off the whole time.
I had wifi on for about a third of the time.

screen on time ? Thats important... Im getting 5 hours with genuine 2000mah from samsung. Im considering buying this battery, but from my experience third party batteries are usually crap(momax for example), and this one is 70 euro. I will buy it only if it really is full 3200 mah. So I am waiting for some kind of test.
Mugen are the only third party battery I trust, Had one of their batteries in my old HTC Hero and it was fantastic, lasted me 4+days on a single charge (I could stretch it to 6 days with data/wifi off and just texts and calls).
I just have to 'lol' at people saying "ooooh its so expensive compared to other ones!!" and "It will blow up your phone!!!111!!!1!"
Its expensive because its not cheap nasty [email protected] like 99% of all the other aftermarket batteries. It may not be the full 3200mAh but based on my experience with the HTC Hero version I wouldn't be surprised if it was still 3000+
It wont blow up the phone, its Mugen.
A google for 'Mugen Battery Review' is all people need to do to find out how highly Mugen is rated

Momaxes is certainly not crap, Tids2k already measured the capacity of the extended Expower to be right on the money, 2680mah out of the rated 2700mah. At the very least it's better then the spider-foot/adinda/oem extended batteries (Rating 3200mah, real cap 2400mah).
Cover is not confidence inspiring though, I have to admit. It HAS survived a couple of drops before though.
On the other hand, nobody seems to have tested the Mugen for total cap yet. Holding on my purchase until someone does.
Watching that video of the increased phone thickness, even this phone is thinner
I think it's better to have 2 or three genuine samsung batteries than having 1 gigantic battery that sacrifice our phone's slimness..
Can you advise what is the total charging time from 10% to fully charged with this extended battery?
The original one takes about 3 hours to fully charge from 10%, using power socket charger (not USB) and with data packet/wifi/GPS all turned off.
What point are the people posting in every single extended battery thread about slimness or ugliness trying to prove? You are providing no information in regards to extended batteries which the post is about. Thanks to the public demanding slim phones we all have poor battery life. Shut up please.
If the phone was twice as thick you could have reasonable battery life and it would still be easy to handle and pocket, why you need a phone thats >10mm thick is beyond me.
exactly! Prove us what you have. Do not just talk like insane.

Checking it... show me the actual screen usage statistic (screen on time)
see ? Thats my 2000mah battery, dont see much difference, show me screen on time. (those big drops are order and chaos gameplay, pretty good for 2000mah eh ? + The total screen on time after three days was 5 hours.)
This is what I mean:
Im sorry for my scepticism... I just saw things many people overlook, the momax 3500mah battery is actually 2400mah and double the size, the other 1900mah batteries are really 1300-1400mah. Only the samy batteries match the rated capacity, my 1650 mah stock battery is 1614mah and my 2000mah battery is 2035mah according to my discharge tests. Thats why I dont trust 3rd party batteries. I just dont see small company squeezing same or more capacity into same sized battery because I am pretty sure they cant invest as much money into battery manufacturing process as samsung and thats why sammy batteries actually match the real capacities.

1900mAh eBay batteries review *Video* *screenshots* *pictures*

Hey guys, I took the plunge and bought a set of these batteries from eBay, thought i'd share the findings with you guys!
Seller posted quickly and I received the batteries within a few days, fit the phone perfectly, lack NFC as expected and seem to last longer than the stock battery! Even better they haven't exploded in my pocket
These are for the i9250 (GSM) model.
Screen shots of battery life after a day of medium usage, screen on auto, some tethering, pictures, internet browsing, bit of gaming, 40minute stopwatch countdown.

Overall I'd have to say I am very impressed with these batteries! only £10 for two batteries and a charger is a steal in my eyes, and I would highly recommend a set to anyone looking for some extra juice out of their nexus!
Thanks for the review. I'm sure the lack of NFC will be a deal breaker for most as it would be for me.
Yeah I can see it being a top feature in other countries where there is a NFC infrastructure in place, but here in the UK we have barely anything to use NFC with, so I'm fine to go without!
Warning chinese batteries can.explode or burn.
I also broke down and bought two 1900 mah batteries from ebay. Paid 13$ for them and a charging dock. Was looking for Anker but couldn't find them.

Am I the only one having problems with these chinese batteries?
Well no actual problems since I dont own one, but still: I dont trust 'em. Not one bit.
I bought a >500€ phone and I wont install a cheap replacement just to save some bucks. Worst case these things ruin the phone or even worse hurt me...
Really cant understand it to be honest. No risk I want to take just to save some money and gain a few mAh at best.
So how is the batterylife after some days of usage?
What about the charger, getting hot loading the original battery?
Did you notice something negative about them now?
Hopefully those that against the so call chinese batteries, please rephase them as non original batteries, many batteries are chinese made, even some samsung galaxy nexus batteries are made in china, and nokia, motorola, even HTC.

I've had two chargers die on me, the second one died with a big bang and tripped the circuit out leaving carbon scoring on the cable. I have been refunded for the charger but now have no way of charging the batteries except for putting them in the phone so they're next to useless (would only be of use as quick charge spares when low on power to swap out).

Seriously????? Obviously when referring to "chines batteries" people are referring to the cheap eBay crap. Despite whether they work or not or explode or not do you REALLY think they go through "QA" or "certification?" These are (usually) cheap Chinese knockoffs where if you are lucky you might get what they are actually rated at but if you believe these $3 and $5 batteries actually go through any sort of "QA" you are hallucinating. They put what they want on the labels but don't believe for a second any agency in China tests or certifies them for anything and even if they did I wouldn't trust them for a second.
If you or anyone wants to buy $5 batteries, that's perfectly fine, I've owned some myself, but don't think for a second because they say "certified or tested" on them that they really are.
I've bought cheap camera batteries that look identical to real $80 Nikon batteries but believe me, other than looks they don't even come close.
Buy cheap get cheap.

then it's you who to blame, you get what you pay for, and don't expect a well known brand for $3-$5, and you should know better, stuff like batteries and medicine, alway buy from people and place you trust.
that being said, there are many batteries, not brands like samsung, sonyericsson etc, but brands from china and hong kong like yoobao, speed, yperfect, momax and goki are cheaper alternative, that do go through certification and QC, so don't treat all chinese batteries cheap knock off, they are not fakes, just third party alternative.

Chinese certification?
I bought these about two weeks ago, and I am very impressed with the batteries. They have provided consistently longer battery life than the original, whether it will hold onto the charge after a few hundred cycles is a different matter.
However, I would recommend getting a different charger. The one supplied blew a fuse because it was heating up so much. It might be a faulty one, but given how cheap these are, I would urge caution with these chargers.

Hyperion Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus 3800mAh Extended Battery

Has anyone purchased the Hyperion Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus 3800mAh Extended Battery from Amazon? How has battery life been with it?
$25 for such a large battery sounds quite suspicious... but the amazon reviews arent that bad!

I got one and was getting very similar battery life as the 2100mah.
I used it for 2 weeks, so 14+ cycles.

I purchased the Hyperion battery (CDMA Verizon version) which can be seen on amazon.com here:
http://www.amazon.com/Hyperion-Exte...XRJY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1334074283&sr=8-5
Bought mine through eBay, link here:

I got great battery life from the battery. On the first day with a full a charge, it lasted approximately 30 hours with some pretty moderate usage. Not bad for the first full charge.

It is quite heavy and bulky though, nowhere near as svelte as the stock. It doesn't look that bad really, the back cover is textured like the stock cover.
Says it has NFC capabilities, but I don't use them, so I am not sure.
The one thing I found curious about it is the seeming uptick on the battery percentage at some times. Percentage would go up a percent or two every now and then when not charging or being used. I did not wipe battery stats prior to using this, so that may explain it. I will continue using the battery (back to the svelte stock today), but it has outperformed my hopes so far.
eh...a little out of budget
whats the sceen on time?
I'm able to get 5:30 hours of screen on time with the official 2000mah extended battery on my gsm gn.
I'm looking to get an extended battery, but it needs to do at least 7 hours of screen on time for it to be worth it.

Don't have a number yet. Doing another test today. Will update. Of course, the battery varies whether I am in LTE range or not. Also varies with brightness of the screen, etc. Therefore, I don't think screen on time by itself is very helpful in the determination.
Can u put some pics to see what it looks like with cover etc.? Any suggestion on compatible cases that might fit...?

The newly released Seido spring clip holster is designed for either a "naked" CDMA Galaxy Nexus -- or one sporting one of the monster extended batteries.

Clearing battery stats does NOTHING. N.O.T.H.I.N.G. The "uptick" is what happens when you slam the battery really hard (video streaming, gaming, whatever) and cause it to drop. The voltage will recover a bit from that once you stop, which cause the phone to recalculate the remaining power. All lithium batteries do this, you just notice it more on large cells because you can drain two watts from it without it dying first.

I will put some pictures up tonight or tomorrow. I don't use a case, so I don't know about what would fit. It is quite different size-wize, so something like the Seido case referenced above or a "bumper" case is probably your best bet.

Wow, I was just guessing, no reason to get so upset about it. I don't know much about that kind of stuff so I was just guessing while making my observations. Sorry for being uninformed on the matter.

29 hours on a charge this time. Probably 2-3 hours of LTE during that period - that definitely makes a dent. Pretty consistent use with a few heavy segments of use.
And for your question regarding on screen time:
But, like I said, I don't think you can judge too much off of that. All depends on screen brightness, LTE, etc.

I wasn't upset, nor do I blame you for thinking the way you did. That rumor swirled around here for the better part of 2 years. It just needs to be made abundantly clear to everyone that the battStats myth is a placebo. It doesn't do anything. In fact, the stats get cleared every time you unplug your phone after you charge it.
Pictures
As promised, here are some pictures:
The first two are with the stock battery installed:
Next three are just the covers, side by side. Stock obviously on the left in the first two.
Last three are the extended battery installed.
Let me know if you would like some other shots taken.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the battery. i easily get 1 day without having to charge. I actually like the heft that is added with the battery as well, makes the phone more substantial and seem less fragile.
I bought this battery as soon as I saw the thread. I received and installed it yesterday. I charged it for the full twelve hours that the manufacturer recommended and I'm on my first cycle now... so I can't comment on battery life. But as for the battery cover... it doesn't fit as well as I had planned. But it stays on, and is comfortable to hold. I actually like the larger back and the added weight that the battery brings.
I will report back with battery results after a few charge cycles.

I received my Hyperions and universal charger yesterday. I'm not sure the prongs were adjusted to the right position on the charger. I charged one in the charger and one in the phone. After six+ hrs, the one in the charger had not completed. When I put it in the phone, it was at 56%, so I don't think it was right. I'll be checking for the correct polarity (positions). I ended up charging the 2nd one in the phone overnight. Took it off the charger at 7:00 this morning.
Because I only had the one battery, I have yet to fully deplete the oem battery.
I will post with my impressions after the Hyperion fully discharges and I can do the same to the oem one for comparision.
Got 27 hours out of it. Moderate/minimal usage. Had an appt. so couldn't wait for it to shut down. Meter said 12% when I changed it. But I'm very happy with 27 hrs..
Polarity was a bit clearer on the oem battery. I moved the sliding contact on the Hyperion charger to the first and third contacts and that seems to be charging correctly.
There is a video review of those batteries on YouTube. I think it's under the Zedomax channel or the High On Android one. Good review. I'm going to be ordering the charger and 2 battery pack. Only 20 bucks...

These charges aren't compatible with galaxy s III batteries. I've charged batteries overnight and come back and it's still only 91%, and the full charge indicator is blue.
Has anyone ever has good luck with generic batteries? I've tried various ones from eBay or Amazon with my last three phones and thought they sucked compared to the oem. I swore to just buy real batteries this time.
Just to clarify, the NFC chip is in the battery, so 3rd party batteries will be missing this
Yep no chip. It's good as a spare battery still.
And I can back up the thing about the charger. It never did give the oem battery full charge. It's a POS in my opinion anyway.
The OEM battery gave me just slightly better time until it got down to 14%. So i think these Hyperions are pretty good notwithstanding the lack of the chip.
I happen to really like my Hyperion batteries so far. They seem to last just as long as my OEM battery.
When I use the Universal Charger the highest I have gotten the batteries charged up to has been 96%.
It takes a very long time to charge them. You know that you have the prongs in the right place if the light lights up blue when you connect the battery to the charger while it is OUT of the wall sockets. When you plug it in to the wall it will turn a pinkish red.
I hope that helps

Yeah I just posted the same on my thread......gonna get the dock charger w/ oem battery. I think I'll be giving the nfc tags a try so will want an oem battery for a spare.
I have the same issues with the Universal charger that came with Anker. 95% is the max I can get out from it.
China batteries
NOTE: I have not tried this for my gs3 but i had the same brand for my droid x and I must say they are not as high quality as the OEM (of course) but the price for 3 back-up batteries are priceless also if you are having troubles with the chargers, this one fits perfectly and charges them full.
Also does anyone know if using non-OEM batteries will in turn degrade the life span of the original battery?
I picked up sime batteries that are marked NFC, but I'd like to verify that they are indeed NFC capable.
Outside of going to an NFC enabled credit card terminal, or testing it directly with another NFC enabled phone, is there a way to verify that it is indeed an NFC capable battery, like an app? Thanks.

Warning! watch out for the Fake batteries on ebay
I bought a couple batteries to test, but I was extremely disappointed. No NFC chip, just a good sticker on a real crappy battery.
Don't buy from:
shinging2011
2 x 2100mah OEM Battery + Dock Charger For Samsung Galaxy S3 18.99
I barely get about 8 hours with either of these and now on of the pins broke on the charger.
Meh, prob'ly don't get these
I got these "2500mAh" via Ebay.
I properly "conditioned" them both, as well as I could. One lasts just a little longer than stock. It's a decent replacement battery, and it was cheaper than the Hyperion. The other doesn't charge all the way, ever after 15 hours total on three different chargers, so it's a dud. I haven't followed up on it yet. (I was going to do a proper test, but I just haven't had a day/evening off to do that either.)
My guess is that streaming video at full brightness with all radios on, the good one would last another 10 minutes. I rather think the risk of getting a bad one isn't worth buying them.
After I recover from my phone accessory binge, I'm planning on buying a proper OEM with the NFC chip. I'm getting addicted to it, even without being able to shell out cash with it, and I'm tired of how fast the cheap batteries (four months to a year or so) end up not taking a charge - I've gone the cheap-battery route since the HTC Wizard (released with WinMo 3.0), and although I can't complain too much, I've ended up spending just as much on replacing the cheap stuff as I would have buying the real deal, but with more hassle and more garbage. (Sorry Mom Earth, I'll do better next time.)

Put it in an NFC-capable phone (that works with the OEM) and see if it beeps when you hold it up to a $1 tag.
I'm finding the tags indespensible around the house. This technology is going to be amazing for groceries. I'm jonsing for a wifi-connected refrigerator with a reader in it.
I don't really care about the NFC capability, but I too am tired of buying cheap batteries that just don't work well. I'm really wondering if the extra money is really worth it for the legit OEM batteries. I've only had my S3 now a few days and haven't really had a good chance yet to evaluate battery life on the stock battery.

Review of Anker 3100 mAh OEM replacement battery w/pics!!!

This is a review of Anker 3100 mAh OEM replacement battery for Note 2: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005KEYCNW/
OK, so I'm taking a little break from all extended and external batteries, and decided to look into a regular OEM footprint 3100 mAh replacement from Anker. After all, there is no other way if you want use any of your fancy Note 2 cases. Why I decided to request a review sample from Anker? Well, I have looked into a bunch of so called OEM replacement batteries from ebay and read test results from others. It doesn't matter what those labels say, 3200 mAh, 3500 mAh, or even "gold" 4200 mAh. They NEVER deliver anything higher than standard 3100 mAh capacity, and in a lot of the cases the actual capacity is closer to 2000 mAh. As it was stated previous in many posts, it's physically not possible to fit higher capacity into standard OEM footprint for Note 2 battery. Period. And you will be lucky if you get one with capacity matching OEM.
With all that said, I have no idea what kind of steroids they have been feeding to Anker 3100 mAh (and I know it will not be possible for capacity to be higher), but after the first charge cycle I'm seeing results surpassing my OEM battery from Samsung. I charged it up in the morning and has been using it for 13 hours today. It was a relatively light use with about 1 hour of phone calls (while either paired up with Tone+ HB730 or my car bluetooth), checking emails and occasional web browsing. Nothing too intense, but I'm still at 83% of charge now. I know for the fact with my OEM battery I would be down in low 70s by now. I actually just read a bunch of amazon reviews, and see people confirming improved performance. Of course, the trick could be that OEM battery starting to show it's age after 6months of use where it can't hold charge as good anymore, and a fresh Anker 3100 will perform better. But nevertheless, I'm actually very impressed.
Other than that, the battery has the same dimensions as original one. Built quality seems to be the same as well. According to Anker it uses Grade A Cells and it has all the necessary over-load and over-voltage protection, and tested under strict quality control standards. As usual, it comes with 18-month warranty from Anker. It even includes a very well written instruction manual with some points on how to extend your battery life. There is also a double pack of these batteries you can get from Anker (on Amazon) where you get a bonus free wall charger. The wall charger is rated at 600 mA which is almost double of most of the cheap ebay chargers, but you still have to keep in mind it will not be as fast as charging the battery inside of the phone at 2A charge speed.

I had this about 2 weeks after I first got my note.
After a few months, I noticed that my battery cover didn't quite fit all the way anymore, but i ignored it cuz my case fit tight enough that it didn't matter if the battery cover wouldn't snap all the way.
Anyway, just discovered about 2 weeks ago that the battery cover didn't fit at all so I inspected the battery closer and saw that it had swollen significantly to the point where I thought the battery would leak if I kept using them. I checked both of the batteries from anker and both had swollen up the same way. Ended up returning both to Amazon for a refund.
Total use time of the batteries was about 6 months

no, i didnt take a picture. didnt think anyone would want to see them.
i mean, they worked great for the time i had them, but the swelling caused me some concern, and i didnt want to take a risk of them leaking into my phone, so i had to get rid of them.
My battery cover fits just fine however the battery does not sit flush at first. At first put the battery in if you look at it carefully it comes out it is a slight bump at the bottom. After putting the battery cover on the battery sits flush. The reason for this is because anker didn't account for the different architecture of the Sprint variant of the note 2. They had sent me the extended battery for free and that battery cover will not latch in all the way through. There is one clip at top right of the battery cover.
However I gave it to my friend and he same problem with tmobile note 2

I had read very good reviews of anker, and that was why I purchased these. However, these batteries have swollen up just after a mild use of an average one month, as I am using the three batteries sequentially for the last three months.

I have been using these batteries for the last three months, and mine have swollen up too. Worse, as I am in India, it might not be possible for me to make a return. I have attached photos for them, they are both swollen up and it's a little hard to apply the cover now. In the first two photos, you can see the difference in width between the original, and the two anker batteries. In the last three, when I press one end of the anker batteries on a flat surface, the other end rises up as the middle is swollen. This does not happen for the original battery even though its three months older than the anker ones.
Also, even though the batteries are swollen, they give me a good backup, as good as the original battery's.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what dangers a swollen battery can have?

nah never let me just upload a few pics of them. If anything its 0.01mm thicker
Have either of you two contacted Anker about the swelling?
Indeed, this is bizarre. Must be a climate difference in India j/k
Seriously, you need to contact Anker and express your concern. Their support is VERY good; so far anybody who had issues with their product reported back in this forum about great feedback.
Btw, I have Verizion Note 2 and battery is flush mounted, nothing sticking out.

i didnt contact anker, since i bought it from amazon and its faster for me to get refunds that way.
i can definitely see the swelling in sacguru's pictures - mine looked exactly like that. i could spin them on the table.
lost soul's pictures dont show any swelling. the batteries are a little thicker when they first come, but that's not what we're talking about here.

i realize that, however but his picture doesn't show swelling in my opinion. maybe a little wear on the top of the battery but that's it. like i said i think his is a tad thicker but not by much from mine. Just could be a defect is all. However if you contacted Anker they'd send a you a brand new one no charge at all. then if you'd still have issues they'd refund you and it only took like a day or two and 20$ aint gonna break the bank, so i wasn't worried about how long it took for my money to get back haha.

The batteries used to fit snap on earlier. It's not a manufacturing defect or so, they have definitely swollen, and a lot, I don't think there is a question about that, check the photos below for my three batteries, the first two from Anker and the third the original.
I will be mailing Anker, or Amazon, but these battery weren't brought from my Amazon ID, so I will have to talk to the friend who brought these, plus they were not brought in India but in the UK. Also, would probably have have to send them back in any case for a refund. All this seems too much of an hassle, with the shipment packaging and cost to UK and all, and anyway, as you said, they weren't costly at all, merely around £12.
So all in all, I am just adding this as a review to the batteries. If three out of the 4-5 people who have responded on this thread have witnessed this swelling in a short time, it implies there IS something wrong with the manufacturing. They might have the best after sales support in the world for all I care, but if the product they have made is so bad, then how does that matter?
I would be sticking to genuine Samsung batteries from now on I guess.

You do not have to send in anything I just told him that I have problems with mine and they give me the option of a refund or to retry and I asked him just send me another one and I didn't have to send in the original one. Then when I still had problems they had just refunded me.
I have purchased a lot of anker batteries with no problem at all I'm thinking it's only a short few of people that are probably doing something wrong Like temperatures. They're a thousand of people who have bought their products with no issue.
My Anker actually performs better after using it for a period of time Like burn in for in ear monitors.

I have 2 of these from amazon.co.uk , and having read this have just taken a look. I have been using one continuously for about 2 months as my main battery. I have just checked it, and it is fine, no swelling whatsoever. I'm glad about this, I was worried after reading this

I guess I will mail them as soon as I can get the Amazon order ID. As for the tempratures, or charging, or any other reason which comes to mind, I have been using, charging etc my original battery in the same way. It hasn't swollen at all. It would be a huge coincidence if 'tempratures' would spoil two batteries three month old, but leave the six months old battery unspoilt

The swelling in my batteries only became big enough to be noticed only after three months. I sure hope yours stay fine, but around a month ago I did not have any swelling either.
