It's been out? Am I missing something?

August 2014 lol.

I was told that it was coming out this month.(September)

Maybe he means the one that doesn't have the bugs?

They're already out in many countries. The UK already has the WiFi one and the 4g version is coming out September 14th I think.

It said no firmware because there is no OTA firmware update at the time. Nothing to worry about. Let's see what's on your phone. Can you screenshot a pic of your build number, like this.

Hmm out of service, I'll double check if your IMEI has not been blacklisted. Hopefully guy didn't sell you a stolen or lost phone. If you are willing to flash a custom ROM, could help to.

I haven't rooted yet if I do and flash a custom ROM would that work. The phone has been working for the past 4 days with no problems till today.

The phone is already LTE capable, however T-Mobile needs to flip the switch 1st then we will get an update.
Not yet tmobile not ready 4 lte sometime in 2014

Or more likely 2013 depending in your area.

Hopefully someone can find out how to activate LTE so that we won't have to wait til 2014 when the phone is outdated.

2014? Really dude....phone is already LTE capable and tmo is rolling out their 4G this coming year. Chill out.
Enabling the phone won't do crap until Tmo heats up their LTE mojo on the network. Patience grasshopper.

Not everyone who has the T889 is on Tmobile like you. The phone may have an LTE chip, but it's not usable... so it's not really "LTE capable".

[Q] Tmobile?

I see sprint optimus G has GSM band 1900, is this true? If it is, it means it can be used in tmobile as long as unlocked. Can anyone confirm it?

i dont see the problem here..
open up phone, desolder eUICC chip from mainboard, solder on a sim slot, mod housing so sim can be removed easily, insert sim card, do a nexus 4 conversion, swap efs partitions with a nexus 4 efs.... so simple.

That's for T-Mobile from reading it...
"Step 10. Once that’s done restoring, your phone will reboot. Just give it about a minute as it will reboot. Once rebooted, you can insert your T-Mobile SIM card and start enjoying T-Mobile 3G/4G HSPA+!"
Yup. I see that now. Flimflam said that the hack was in that site. Thats the only one I saw that looked relevant to the post. Maybe I missed it somewhere.

Really Dude? I guess when you live in the midwest like kansas (Most ****ty state ever by the way....) I get 25% of your speed. I still get "4G" though on the screen.

Selling.. 4g card?

I am getting my HTC one Maxx to replace this tomorrow and will probably sell my phone on ebay. Question though. What do I do with the 4g card. Does it get sold with the phone..or do I just sell the phone..not sure.
You need to keep the SIM. It contains your contacts. Buyer will use his own SIM.

Same idea for both phones. If you sell your SIM card with your phone, you will be giving them personal info.

You're welcome. SIM cards originally just supported data, then later contained additional info.
