They are combined at least to my knowledge

What can I do because I have the 534fw??

Can I use this Kernel to flash access the recovery and flash a ZIP that will root my Xperia Z1?
My Xperia Z1 is running 14.1.G.2.257 FW, I know it won't boot, but will this kernel be able to enter in recovery? (as far I know, recovery comes before boot)
Also, would this SuperSU-1.25-Busybox-1.20.2-UPDATE.zip root my device?
Ps: Where is our devs? Sources for 14.1.G.2.256 have been released since 11/15, I couldn't find one stock kernel w/ recovery or stock based w/ recovery...

Yes DoomKernel has it but DoomKernel doesnt work on any Firmware after 290 becouse Wifi is broken. This is just a Advanced Stock Kernel with TWRP/CWM and Full Root not a custom Kernel for Stock Firmware like DoomKernel.

This new version still gives a status 7 when setting permissions. Not sure what that's about. It's after the pieces of the ROM have technically been flashed, so it still boots. Just not sure what permissions you're trying to set, why it's failing, or what the downside is of whatever permissions are failing. Hope that makes sense.

I got the permission error as well, but for me it won't boot. Just a good old bootloop. Wouldn't be an issue if not due to the fact that I can't enter recovery other than with adb .
What fw were you on before flashing?

I don't see how rooting the device affects which version of ColorOS you want installed.

This package is signed such that it will flash in stock recovery.
If you install a custom recovery (which allows you to flash ZIPs signed with keys other than the manufacturer's) you may as well just flash SuperSU
Fun fact: Many ICS releases for the Samsing I9100, I777, and N7000 allowed flashing of ZIPs signed with testkeys using their stock recovery. So you could flash SuperSU on stock recovery with those devices/releases. Samsung's gingerbread and JB releases didn't allow this.

[Sony] Xperia Open Devices Project

Sony Mobile is committed to supporting the open developer community, and one way to show this is by publishing parts of our code as well as selected tools developed by our internal developers.
For some of the Xperia™ devices, we provide Android™ Open Source Project (AOSP) device configurations on GitHub. This means that the software will be open for you as a developer to use and contribute to. This is a way for us to support the open Android community, and it is also a tool for us to facilitate and verify contributions to AOSP.

I compiled AOSP using Sony's instructions and was able to boot fine into the ROM.
I also used the offical recovery mode update from Sony's developer page.
I can enter recovery with power + vol down, but when I use 'adb reboot recovery', it does not work (boots direct into the AOSP, like a normal reboot). Is this expected?
Do I have to use the extract_elf_ramdisk in my AOSP build, like CyanogenMod?
Thanks!

It appears as some people have been able to unlock the bootloader if the c6916 z1s (USA), using the regular z1 unlocking method on the Sony dev site. This didn't week for my z1s though. Is the camera permanently broken regardless of ROM after unlocking the bootloader? And why does it with to do this with some c6916 z1s units and not others? :/
Can you confirm is it possible to unlock the bootloader please.. Anyone else have tried it. Thanks in advance

How does this kernel fair against the SUPEREXE? Will the performance/batter life increase? Anybody tried this yet?
This is purely a repacked kernel to allow root access on the new Marshmallow firmware release for the H815.
Its NOT a modified kernel in the same sense as SUPEREXE.
You're right. This is a clear repacked stock!

21a? No matter ... I do not know. We're waiting 20b kernel source.
He maybe made a mistake.
I believe he meant v20A (the last one released a day or two ago) for all other countries.
By the way, will you work on a modified kernel for MM?
