my sound when playing anything, or even adjusting the sound, it only comes out of the right ear, whats up with that? with XDA II it came out of both..., BUT the default earbuds that O2 gave me work fine, sound comes out of both ears, but when I use my converter I used on my old O2 XDA II, it wont work right... I use the converter because my ears don't work well with earbuds, I've tried different headsets on the converter, it must be the converter... any ideas? but I also bought and tried a different converter, got the same result. can I get a new one that I know works or somethin guys?
Wiggle the connector
Hi had this problem also, Just pull the connector a little bit out of its socket, very dodgy, but it works. I bought like 3 adaptors, until I figured this out lol.

Hey look at this bluetooth reciever

Hey guys I was stalking amazon for a nice wireless solution for my car

anyone use one? I tried the FIFO with my sony head unit no dice. It reads the ipod alittle different than other manufacturers
I think that adapter would work perfectly as long as you have the appropriate input. But a side of me can't help but want to direct you to something I posted in a different thread. I know a lot of people don't mind spending money on things as long as they work, but hey, might as well share, right?

$80 is WAY too much for this. You can accomplish the same thing with a $20 BT3030 adapter, or any headphone adapter.
Here's a tip:
Grab one of these and one of these, and you'll never know the difference.

I just used that as an example as how cheap you can go. Personally, I'm making a cable that does both.
If you want one that charges and plays at the same time out of the box, try this for 20 bucks:

It's the Jabra BT3030. One end is the audio output (which plugs into your audio input) and the mini USB port is on the other for charging.

The thread I pulled those responses from was this.

What I think I forgot to add was, any bluetooth receiver with an audio output will work for you. Even (especially) the ones that are made for headphones. They usually just have an amp built into them, so if you leave it at one setting, it will function the same as the one you linked to. The point I was basically trying to make was, the headphone adapters are usually much cheaper that ones "made" for a car.
the only problem i see with any bluetooth adapter, is the need to charge it. I ended up taking my Sony CDX-GT320 out, and putting in a new Sony BT-2800. Only tried it for 10 minutes tonight, but I LOVE IT. No adapters, nothing, it's all built in. I took the FIPO adapter and a ipod cable, tried to see if the kenwoods would play it, no dice however the Kenwoods did at least power up the blue light and I could get it to sync with my phone.

Did you make sure to turn the volume up on the phone. Volume control when connected via A2DP is controlled by the phone. My evo is always set to mute when I connect it to my FIPO, aside from that it works awesomely.
Naw on my Sony deck would just read no device when paired with the fipo

Only one headphone works?

I've been going through headphones really quick lately, but i realized it was actually my phone. No matter what headphones i use only one of the buds work but if i put those headphones into my ipod, both work on every headphone.
At first i thought it was possibly the rom i have, but i converted back to stock because i bricked my phone lol (but i fixed it) and it was the same thing on stock...what could the problem possibly be?
Do you use a case?
maybe the headset doesnt go all the way in, also try cleaning the headset port maybe theres something stuck in there

exactly how would i clean it?
1. put some light and see if there is anything in there if not
2.try twisting the part you plug in your phone
what probably its happening is that there its an accumulation of dust/debris that's blocking the connection. Try holding it with the headphone jack facing the ground and try plugging and unplugging your headphones a bunch of times. That has fixed it for me on a few devices.

use something like a paperclip or a needle and gently clean it and see if something comes out.
Could there be a mono setting?
When going back to stock did you use ODIN?
yes i did use odin...how could i check the mono settings?
Sounds like you got some eddy currents in the johnson rods

Headphones on Xperia Play

The headphones I used with my previous cellphone (it was a Defy) doesn't seem to work with Play. I did some search around and all I can find is Sony staff saying that some accessories might be incompatible. Is there any way to make those headphones work?
EDIT: Didn't think headphone would be an issue before I bought Xperia Play, and I had this headphone tested on other cellphones, worked normal.
Even I had the same problem when I was trying my friend's Defy head phones..

Did you try using the adapter that came with the phone?
I just plugged that 3.5mm headphone Jack in my phone ..what connector are you talking about?

Sony Ericsson includes a 3rd party headphone adapter with the phone. If you got the phone off eBay or somewhere, you probably never realized it came with an adapter. At least, the Verizon phone came with the adapter.
I bought mine from a store (it was in the original box) but there is no adapter in the box... I have the GSM version. I want an adapter too :/

I got my phone off MercadoLivre (eBay for BR) and it did not come with an adapter. If I plug it half in it works but it does not hold itself there, and if I plug it all the way in I get the "accessory not compatible" or the sound gets really weird. If someone knows where I can get that adapter you would save me a lot of trouble.
EDIT: With my R800i all that came was a headphone that seems to be pretty similar to the ones I use, the only difference is that the one that came with the cellphone seems to be a little taller and the three rings from my phone does not match in height from the ones that came with the cellphone.
EDIT2: Somehow I got it fixed. My headphones have a little button (don't know its function). Looked on another post on how to make it work with Dre headphones and apparently if you keep that button pressed it works. Tried on mine and it worked too. Now I have got to find a way to make it get stuck inside. Thanks for the replies.

Headphones with Android controls?

Can anyone recommend a set of around the ear Cans with Android controls to use with the V20 DAC?
I have some headphones that can use different cables, the Philips SHP9500 (open-ear, so ppl around can hear it). You can plug your own cable in to it. I haven't done this, but if i wanted/needed to, i'd probably look for something like this:

Just FWIW you need 50Ω headphones to activate the high impedance mode on the v20, the SHPs are only 32Ω.
I have the Fostex T50RP Mk. III Mayflower edition myself, also comes plugless so you can choose your own cable. Way more expensive, but you didn't mention a price point
The cable itself might affect that too, I'm not really sure how that stuff works, not really technically knowledgeable with audio stuff, but they trigger high impedance on the v20 with the cable that came with them.

Thanks, I own the 9500s and they're a fantastic set of cans.
Have you seen a cable like the one you posted but with two 3.5mm plugs?
