Galaxy S3 Lifeproof - Galaxy S III Accessories

So, I have my lifeproof nuud case, and it works great. I'm happy with it overall, except for one tiny detail. For some reason Lifeproof doesn't make a belt clip, and when I contacted them they said they have no plans for any accessories for the Galaxy phones. Does anybody have any suggestions on holsters or alternatives? It's insanely frustrating.

Try one of the seidio holsters. Either the convert or the seidio obex holster. Don't know what size is the lifeproof

Given the otterbox armor series is larger then lifeproof idk if this will work. But i bought a cheap Note2 fake leather belt pouch, and it fits loke a glove.

I personally use the the holster for the Seidio Obex, which is just about the right size. The Obex is only a little taller and thicker than the lifeproof, so you only need to pad out the bottom a little.
I also tried the convert plus holster, but it's too narrow to fit the lifeproof.
Been trying to find a good material for the padding though. Foam tape and such just tend to get crushed down after a couple weeks.

Good to hear! How secure is the fit, out of curiosity? Heading into the field for work soon, I like the fact that my lifeproof is waterproof, but have been debating using my Defender just because of how secure it is.

Without the padding is not very secure, but with it is very good.
Personally, I wouldn't call the defender holster very secure. It holds great under normal conditions, but with my incredible s, I broke 3 of those holsters thanks to the dumb flexing-hard-plastic clip design holding the phone in place and the s3 version appears to have the same design unless they've switched to a different plastic formula.

BTW the obex holster has Locking Mechanism, so it wont go anywhere! Ive have the obex clip on the fake lifeproof case of my gs3 and the fit is great. Once locked its not going anywhere. But i do know that the real LP and fake LP are different dimensions thats why i said i wasnt sure.

Good to hear, I'm guessing foam tape is the current best thing for padding, anybody have other suggestions?

The foam tape I tried needed to be replaced every 2 weeks or so.
My latest attempt is filling in the bottom of the holster with some polyurethane construction adhesive I had laying around.
Didn't quite get the thickness right on the first try. I'll add in some more when I have a couple days when I don't need it, as the stuff takes semi-forever to fully set.

Can we get a link to the holster you bought is it one of them leather holsters or a actual best clip. I have got to figure something out cause that's the only down fall to this case it's killing me having to put it in my pocket

Ah it's a canvas type similar to the leather ones. I actually bought it in downtown Los Angeles at a small no name shop. Brand Name is Reiko if that helps.

and belt pouch that fits evo with seidio active case?

hey, have the seidio active case and love it. but i like to put my phone in a belt pouch when i run and stuff, because its better than my pockets if I have them.
tried a bb tour case and nogo, sprints evo belt pouch is to small. any luck?
try going to the mall and trying those carts. I used to use a very large one for my touch pro 2, and gave that to my girlfriend. It can fit like 1.5 evo's in it.
I use an htc belt pouch I picked up at best buy when I had a moment. It works pretty well. Not perfect but pretty good

Krussel, leather, hand made in sweden. Fits has multiple types of clips. Very sturdy yet the EVO is accessible.
Ebay
Bought one of these from Amazon for travel... Decent room for Extra Battery, USB Cable and other small personal effects... $9.99... No belt flip but has a strap and climbers clip... Great quality and the Evo with Seidio Active Limited Edition fits perfectly...

I just got off the chat with Seidio and yes it fits both. I asked if the clip was made specifically for them and she said yes so it should fix perfectly - And it better do because its really expensive ($30USD!!!! more than the case itself!!!)
yeah thats a lil steep for me too at this point... we'll see
I've got a generic leather belt holster (vertical) from K-mart. It was $14.99
Works well with the non-LE active case. Not sure if the hand-grip shaped sides on the LE would make getting the phone in and out too tough. Takes a little bit of force because of the rubbery texture of the active case, but not enough trouble to make it hard to get by 2nd ring.
I'd post a link, but searching kmart.com sucks. Worth a trip to the store though.

like Chongo said. And it's not even really a "hard case". it's a double layer case.... with one layer being capable of attracting lint from alternate dimensions. I don't often use cases.... but to be completely honest, i'm much happier with this slim case i got off of eBay for a few bucks that i've been using for about 2 weeks than i was with the Defender that i used for a day.

I got the body glove when I bought the phone. I is very well made and fits great. it is pretty thin, so it doesn't bulk the phone up too much. I also bought the leather case (att premier store for 20 bucks) with the magnet that puts the phone to sleep when you close it. nice feature. swivel ratcheting belt clip. It fits the bare phone nice and snug. It is supposed to work with tight fitting covers, but I can't see one being thinner than the body glove, and that will not slide into the case well at all. way to hard to get back out. I do reccomend the body glove for a thin rubbery case, though.

Seidio Surface Combo Case Review

Made a review for everyone of this awesome case!
http://forums.acsyndicate.net/showthread.php?3333-Seidio-Surface-Combo-Case-Review
If anybody was wondering, I got mine in today and it does fit with an SGP screen protector installed.
How thick compared to tpu?
Someone picked one up today for me and will be returning it tomorrow. Very cheap and unattractive. This is what I have come to expect from siedo so no surprise here. Ordering Ballistic.

I had one of these for my Evo 3D and loved it. I'm rocking the combo case from Sprint now. It's decent but doesn't protect the top and bottom of the phone.
Sent from my Samsung Epic™ 4G Touch
I feel that with the exception of the volume button cover and the case being soft instead of hard plastic, the TPU case is just as elegant and much more wallet friendly.
I am satisfied with my seidio case. It offers some protection without adding a lot of bulk. It also has a matched holster available and I am able to put it in the holster and remove it with one hand. This is something that I could not do with the sprint case.
I use the Seido holster and a TPU case.
Perfect Combo. TPU fits perfectly in holster.

I got the same exact case & holster at Best Buy with their platinum branding. As you may already know Best BUY platinum brand stuff & seidio stuff is the same, just a different brands label. Only $34.99 at the big blue box. It looks exactly the same except where the one on the video says seidio, this one has the Pt inside a box like platinum on a element chart.

Does anybody else have a gap where the 2 pieces some together on their case? I noticed that there is a small gap on both sides after installing the case. I installed it properly and you can hear it latch when you press on the spot on the back. I dropped my phone and when it landed the bottom piece came off completely. I was hoping for a tighter fit.
I ordered mine from ebay and got it yesterday. The case is awesome. Its light and blends with the phone perfectly. Thanks for the review QBKing!!
is this thinner than the TPU case?
Is it just on/off or are there little stickies and crap for the phone to fit snugly?
What is the wear/tear like? Does it disintegrate or pop off when you drop it three feet or so onto the concrete? (TPU case remains intact)
JC
I purchased the the Platinum Series case (seidio re-branded) from best buy $34.99 and included the belt clip. I like the matte feel of the case and its looks however the fitment isn't there. everything seems snug except the area near the bottom where the top and bottom piece meet. The tolerances are too large and allows for a fair bit of slop. One friend said upon showing him my phone "oh my your phone is already falling apart" (referring to the sloppy case)
I did however just come up with a fix for this. I lined the part with a bit of electrical tape to snug up the fitment, now feels rock solid! and I really like the case more!
I can include pics if there is any interest.

Case with holster (sorry for another case thread)

Hey everyone,
I am looking for some feedback on this case: http://www.ebay.com/itm/390492036942?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Or point me in a direction of someone who make a case with a holster. I really like the UAG case but I don't want a case and then buy an even bigger holster to put the phone on my side.
Any help is appreciated!
Thank you
imo dont expect top notch quality with those china items.. the Ballistic SG series has holster, the OB defender (imo its ugly) lol..
http://www.goballisticcase.com/products/samsung-galaxy-s-3-ballistic-sg-maxx-series-case
I have been through about 6 cases.
I wanted full coverage with a holster. Sadly most cases that offer decent protection add a ton of bulk.
This Ballistic case adds very little bulk. Your phone still feels slim and comfortable. The Otterbox adds way too much bulk and the built-in screen protector is garbage. The Ballistic screen protector is a separate piece and can be left out. It is still not the clearest.
If you want options in a case then go with this:
http://www.seidioonline.com/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-convert-value-pack-black-p/bd5-hkr4ssgs3.htm
It has a hard shell for everyday. Then a silicon surround and plastic exo skeleton.

If you want a great case definitely go with any Seidio case, plus there holsters are top notch and very sturdy! The GS3 otter box defender holster looks to have the same sort of phone-side clip as the incredible s does. It's incredibly fragile and will break off if you look at it funny. I went though 3 of the holsters in a matter of months (their warranty service is top notch at least) before giving up on it and using a commuter case with a pouch holster until I replaced that phone.
I just ordered a seidio extended battery and one of their active cases, so I'll give my opinion of it when it arrives. The clip is an entirely different design.

yeah i read about the fragile clip and about the rubber getting loose in few weeks. Thats the reason i asked for a refund from the seller on ebay. He gave me a full refund, and the next thing I know a week later i received the case in the mail lol.. so got it free basically. Lack of communication on their end i guess. But overall I dont like the case much. I would give the ballistic a try.

Quality Pouch w/ Belt Clip or Holster Case Compatible?

Hey all. Does anyone know of a good quality case that clips onto a belt? Preferably one that will last through some physical activity (those fake leather pouches will fall apart). Also huge plus if anyone has experience with a recommended case and knows that it can survive some random bursts of jogging or running (I've had some cheap magnetic ones that would open up and make my phone fly).
Secondly, anyone know of a belt case/pouch that is big enough to fit a protective HTC One case? For example, an Otterbox Commuter? This particular criterion has made my search much harder, but finding one would save me a headache.
I'd love some suggestions. Thanks!

That's actually pretty interesting, although not sure if that will function in more everyday situations as well.
Also, does anyone know if SEIDO's ACTIVE Holster is compatible with the Otterbox Commuter? I've read that for a few other phone models, for some reason SEIDO's Holster fits the Commuter perfectly, but wasn't able to confirm if it's the same for the HTC One.
I was also suggested fortte and bugatti-mobilecases
Would definitely love more suggestions!

Nope. Commuter and active holster don't fit. Commuter is a little thicker. I love the commuter, but need a clip from time to time. The active case is very nice though.
I am looking for one as well. I use the commuter. I always had a ppouch for my OG EVO4G w/commuter and had no issues. 2 months of the ONE with the commuter and I now have a scratch in the screen. I really need a good quality pouch.
I ordered the Otterbox Defender for my One today, it supposedly comes with a belt clip. It's about $38 on Amazon.
