Upcoming Huawei P6S has K3V2 Pro GPU - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

P6S would be a phablet size version of P6. Not much difference except the GPU is advanced and Antutu benchmark show 22k score.
http://cn.club.vmall.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=209175&mobile=yes
[Use google translate]
For pictures of P6S and other details, see: http://www.huaweiblog.de/news/huawei-ascend-p6s-ein-phablet-mit-design
Now although clearly most of us won't be interested in that bigger design, yet for others wanting that Ascend Mate size, this would seriously be considered as higher end option and plus the premium looks and performance.
If Huawei comes with an advanced version of P6 with the same current dimensions but better processor that saves more battery with better performance, then me personally would consider upgrading to that. There was a talk of LTE version coming for P6. If LTE is not in P6S, then there might be another one in plan.
Other than that, if P6S releases this year soon, then probably thats when EMUI 2.0 might come out.

Nav bar is out of screen. Mmmm I like it.

With a improved processor like that on the P6 too, the P6 would be a strong competitor to HTC one. I hope they do so before it gets too late. But then Huawei might have their own secret tricks up their sleeves.

The news here seems to be referring to the same upgraded processor:
http://www.antutu.net/view.shtml?id=7200
So November/December the launch date.
And this new article :http://www.antutu.net/view.shtml?id=7331
There are two processors coming out. One is K3V2 pro which the P6S gone have. They also have the more advanced K3V3 which got ability to convert heat into energy and so on.

P6S appears in online shopping: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=35607473938
Got link from Chinese forum. It is clearly a refined version and many noticeable changes including battery removal, dual led, hard navigation button, an extra button on right bottom probably camera, headphone on top (no pin needed), micro USB at bottom, NFC, FHD screen and 13 MP front camera, 3gb ram, 8 core CPU and dual sim. The 7.5 mm is not the slimmest 6" phone, as Xperia Z ultra is 6.5mm. Yet the phone is a bomb in phablet range and pricing is a grab. Even though it does not have the finger print sensor as htc one max or the pen controls of note 3, p6s still is going to be a big threat for them.
It is also running android 4.2 it seems, which is fine by me because if they had upgraded to 4.3 then it would take a year to upgrade to Kitkat. While if it was running on Android 4.2, they would then upgrade directly to kitkat much sooner.

According to this one source, P6S making world debut from Japan on November 1st:
http://tieba.baidu.com/p/2675313321?lp=5028&is_bakan=0&mo_device=1
Ascend Mate 2 also spotted: http://gsminsider.com/2013/10/huawei-ascend-mate-2-mt2-c00-benchmark-score/

I bought early, I should wait for some time to buy.

my phone is huawei p6.
p6 is weak in gaming.(poor cpu and gpu)
i think huawei is not a good company.

ohhhh noeeeeees.
just bought the p6 som weeks ago. and i hardly miss batt removal, hard navi but's, down USB and optional cam button.
that a ****ing load of sweet changes.
lovely to see how fast such major changes can be done by a company. while others just dont show interest in optimization issues and rather release another brick

U think wrong

Is pdadb.net realiable ? There is a recent entry of Huawei phone with name Huawei Ascend P6 S LTE-A GLS11S. But oddly besides the LTE, no other specs are different from P6. December 2013 given as release date.

428 24444963
p6 still looks the best

Strange to release this new P6 with diferent GPU but same processor. Besides the same CPU it has much more performance than the usual P6 taking over 22k points on AnTuTu.

P6S got two different certifications recently.
Bluetooth certification: http://gsminsider.com/2013/11/huawei-ascend-p6-s-u06-bluetooth-certification/
Ministry Certification: http://mobile.it168.com/a2013/1115/1560/000001560118.shtml

It is nice there is P6S upgrade but am nor really bothered if cpu is faster.. or gpu and that unnecessary crap .. I just want proper LTE/4G , stability , no wifi dropouts or network drops, quick gps locking and thats it .. am really pleased with p6 just missing 4G .. feature..
EDIT :
Got some pictures ov new P6 .. And as u can see top is now rounded .. hmmm

Wow do you have a direct link ? Is that P6S or some other P6 ?
Edit: I got the link. It seems to be old pics dated May 8th : http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/08/huawei-p6-u06-spy-shots/

Lol yea i was like what the heck, the concept version is the new p6S and totally different from all the leaks. It looks nice but the camera and the stuff below that takes too much space. I think this is thicker also hence maybe that's why a failed prototype. But the curves on bottom and up is good and i guess now its a signature shape of Huawei P6 series. The curve on both ends also takes away any resemblance to iphone. But cant find any USB port on that. The one on my signature looks more refined and complete. But then its just a fan concept as for now. I took it from Chinese Huawei club site.

it will be defo running octa core cpu

So it seems the specs and pictures that was on the Chinese store was accurate. See this post. The chinese site link is dead now but a partial freeze page is available here.
EDIT: HOLD ON A MINUTE. Those pictures seen of P6S are actually that of a Huawei P6 clone. Its not the real one. See: http://multicorechina.com/carpad-t6s-review/
So P6S is a complete mystery. The P6S could be the exact same as P6 with different chipset and LTE. If the size remains the same, i might sell mine for the p6s.

I like the phone's characteristics but I'm concerned about the battery life. Only 2250mAh for eight cores is a bit weak. What do you think?
Do you expect the phone to have any support for the upgrade to Android L or to any other alternative upgrade?
I just purchased this phone.
I think for 102Eur is a great phone. If it have some problems, it isn't the only one. All chinneses phones have problems everywhere. The thing is if it compensates what you paid for it.
I also ordered it. I'm still waiting for it but I hope I won't be dissapointed. I hope that it will have some support (new ROMs, firmware updates etc.), since there has been a lot of interest in preorder period.

I think the official launch is on 9th Oct. We will wait at least two weeks more to put our hands in it.
Elephone p2000 at least seems that has good support and Elephone releases new roms when is needed. Also, every Elephone has been rooted easily, so that's good. Take also into consideration that we're with Android 4.4.2 .. other phones are still with 4.2 or 4.0, so we're updated for a few years with this version.
I think we take a good decision, and believe me, I search the whole internet and this is the best phone I found for this price. :good:
We just have to keep this topic alive, so that we can discuss about the phone once we get it. I already own a chinese phone with MTK6577 and 512MB RAM, Android 4.0 and I've been very satisfied with it. So obviously Elephone g6 should be a big improvement for me. I also like to do some improvements to the phone when possible, that's why I'm hoping for good support.
As far as the price-quality is concerned, I'm sure there is no better phone on the market at the moment. Only the battery still worries me...
Hopefully we'll get it ASAP.

I own a Sony Xperia Neo (1Ghz, 512mb ram, 384mb of memory to apps, 3.7'' and Android 4.0 ... slow as hell!) so this G6 should be a big improvement to me too! the only thing that my Xperia will be better is the camera and flash, so, we will see
The phone should be shipped in 9th, so -2 days!

I would just wait, all the new Chinese models will be a little delayed because of the Chinese national holidays. Not only from Elephone but also from all the other Chinese brands. And I think it is good that they tell the truth, and actually do the tests properly before they ship the phones out to all the end customers. So we don't will be having problems in the end.
I agree, just wait for one more week. If you waited that long, one week isn't that much
I look forward to getting a good product, hopefully well tested and with some suport and updates available in the future.

Still no one received the phone?
Myefox delayed shipments without explain nothing... Look for some hands on until place my order!!
Wonder if anyone has received this phone yet I am looking for a budget smartphone to replace my nightmare Samsung Galaxy ace which is getting near the end of its contract.
My situation is I done a google search for a Blackview Crown review- 5inch Octa core Android 4.4 Smartphone 2GB Ram 16GB Rom and found the following thread on this site -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/blackview-crown-review-5inch-octa-core-t2844265
Someone on there said he thought this phone would be better and a few other agreed, however I cant really find much first hand feedback on this phone.
I know nothing about rooting phones I am a basic user who just wants a reasonable smart phone but my existing phone does have a huge amount of bloatware that i dont use so would not like that on a new phone.
Just wanted to keep this thread alive as this phones looks perfect I am in the UK where the cost of this is just over £92 or $150 and using the Three network on the 800MHZ band so was hoping people could give it the thumbs up.
Thanks
Ian

I received the phone. So far it looks good. Touchscreen is very responsive, no other preinstalled apps. OS really is Android 4.4.2 KitKat as stated. It has also already come rooted as SuperSU. Antutu Benchmark score is 29004.

Im about to order a one too. camera certainly looks pretty good. and your input is highly appreciated and valuble. thank you for that first. and also do all of us some more favor, please include your comment on following points,
1. some more camera pics in low light and normal indoor conditions.
2. mobile signal strength, wifi strength compared to your other mobile.
3. and another most importantly, music quality through a good headset and normal speaker strength for ringing.
4. I found some chinese devices have very low earpiece volume. how's it on the g6?
5. And of course how about the battery time.
thank you again and we all are very grateful for your info I think.

Asus website lists the zoom's aperture at f/2.7 - f/4.8 for variable aperture. I wonder what the sensor size is?
No hdmi,or ir deal breaker in my book.. The specs are off the chart why slack on the essentials..
very interesting from ASUS, loving both zenphone2 and the zoom(more towards the zoom for the juicy cam it got)...
screen looks good enough
speakers well... look traditional which is very boring.. expecting tiny low sound from them
cpu is new and thats fresh.. hope its not a battery hog when pushed hard enough
i have never dealt with the company in any way...
any users out there wanna give a few pointers as to how they operate in regards to their smartphones and firmware?
coming from a dead lg g2, currently on a sony Z3 and hating it to the fullest (except for its 3000mAh batt and SOT)
plans were to wait for the lg g4 but this is intriguing.. price is right, need to test 1 before confirming anything but the launch is a bit late for the competition

well TBH... its working good and nothing bad really with the factory rom.
some signal issues where its having a hard time staying on 4g-LTE compared to LG-g2 and galaxy s5.. even on 3g it would drop to 2g when those 2 would have a strong 3g connection
connection speed is good when it feels like it but feels like its being throttled when you have a few apps using the internet at the same time.. for example i have 2 bbm apps running at the same time, whatsapp, instagram, snapchat...
instagram wouldnt load as fast as it should be and same goes for snapchat... it just feels slower compared to the other two phones i mentioned..
loud speaker on calls only uses the 1 of the 2 speakers, which makes it completly useless, but theres a mod to fix that without boosting the max volume value
i always had better luck with cm-aosp but things are moving painfully slow in the development section, cm12 is in nightly stages with an 80% complete build with a few bugs still not ironed out so that ruins it for being a daily driver.
managed to root the phone without unlocking the bootloader which is great but feel like im missing on a lot working with the factory rom
depending on how cool the phone is, 4k video is time limited due to over heating of the phone. yes you do get a message about that from the factory rom when u switch on 4k video camera . so if u were using the phone prior to taking that video time is slashed to 3-5 mins before it stops..
videos taken on 4k or 1080/60 fps sometimes look like slow motion videos not running as fluid as they are supposed to...
never had a phone with so many things id comment about or couldnt help fix with the community but i guess theres a first time for everything...
anyways this has been my first sony mobile and being the latest android phone on the market, it only made sense to drop my broken lg g2 for it but i guess i was wrong
guess i could of been happier with the lg g3 but might as well keep the sony till either the lg g4 comes out or try those new Asus
well, intel procesor hard to install custom rom/custom kernel, am i right?
sorry my english bad

Very nice phone zenfone zoom
It's a very nice phone with good camera. I really want to have this one. But i'm still saving money to buy this.
Folks, any news when Zoom will be released? As i could not find any hint on that. Besides, i also was able to find info that Zoom might get Z3590 CPU instead of more slow Z3580. But in any case, that's only unofficial info.
Got my Zenfone Zoom (Z3580 model 64GB) for a few days now. So far pretty nice phone, fast and good UI. Only downside is the battery going fast. Have to find out what is causing that. Not lasting a whole day so far.
Got mine too - First Impressions up plus camera samples. Part 2 live tomorrow with camera shootout with iPhone 6S Plus

Which errors?
You have the Z3590 model, there's 2 models in which the CPU varies. Z3580 & Z3590.
Also there are 3 different localized versions: WW (worldwide), CN (China) & TW (Taiwan).
Mine didn't come with a headset tho. (WW Z5380 4GB / 64GB)

DOOGEE F3 - MTK6753, 2.5D Curved Gorilla Glass, CNC metalframe, Voice Assistant

Full Review
The F3 looks a lot like the Galaxy S6, but seems different enough to not be called a clone. Specifications of the phone include a 5-inch HD display, the new MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM and a 2200mAh battery. Cameras, or at least the 13 mega-pixel main camera on the rear, will be a Samsung unit — a far cry from the usual IMX214 that you get to see.
Pricing is set at US$149, which although isn’t crazy impressive, does sound good for a phone with a decent set of specs and more importantly, good build quality, which we hope will be the case with the Doogee F3. Surprisingly, there’s no mention of a fingerprint scanner which seems to have become stable for Chinese phones. (Source: http://www.gizchina.com/2015/06/26/doogee-f3-launch-specs)

Hi there,
I hear some complaints about Doogee F3 Pro seems to classify quite a lot of apps as incompatible with this device. Does the normal F3 also having these issues?

Not a lot, but some I guess, for example the Google Plus app. That also don't work on the F3.

Ok, any idea how to solve that? Some people are talking about flashing
GAPPS. But for that you need to have root I suppose.
is there anyone who rooted this phone? (and how, with which app?)
There are 2 variants stated by google.
One using SuperSU, the other srsRoot or something like that.
I'm sorry i can't post links since i'm a newbie.
I also have issues with the camera apps.
Will try testing it and see what logcat has to say on the issue.
I had a chinese recovery mode, so I can't install SuperSU from zip
SuperSU installed form Google Play has "no SU binary installed... you need to manually re-root"
srsroot isn't have connection with ADB device
aplications like KingRoot says that there is a problem with root and break
I don't know how I should to do...
which store you recommend to buy this phone, I much prefer the doogee F3 pro.

Depends on where you're from.
I'm from the EU, so i picked EU-direct DealExtreem. However, if you prefer that the phone has a longer warranty time than 6 months, like DX offers, <- okay i was wrong here. Just spoke with the CS and they told me it ha 1 year of warranty.
then i'd recommend you go here and pick a store you find good.
I see you get 12 months of warranty at DealsMachine.com, banggood.com, pandawill and Gearbest. I believe most of these stores are good, if you're willing to get shipped from china, i think banggood also has overseas warehouses.

Thanks for this info. I have noticed that a recent OTA update will resolve these issues. Unfortunately I cancelled my order already because of continuous postponement of shipment. Now I ordered an Umi Emax Mini. Maybe I will try the Doogee F3 Pro in the near future.
I am an owner of a doogee f3 pro. It was true that the phone classified quite a lot of apps as incompatible, but this problem was completely solved with the recent (17/11/2015) OTA update. Benefits of the phone: OTA updates anailable. Very fast, very nice full hd display and also very good camera and video. Beautiful phone with metal frame and glass back. The gsm network signal is also very good. In fact, its the best i have ever seen!! I could even made phone calls in some places where with other phones i would only get "emergency calls only." Now, the not so good things: Battery is not impressive at all. I think it was needed a bigger battery for an octa core phone. You can make out a whole day with medium use only (ex only phone calls and limited use of internet and games). GPS locks quickly on 19, even on 20 satellites (GPS+GLONASS) with very good signal and gps accuracy of 2, sometimes even 1 meter! The gps performance on an android device can be measured easily and with great accuracy using gps tools from google play store. This is the best gps performance i have ever seen on a smartphone!!! an. Wifi signal is, however, lower than other android phones. Tested with plenty of 2.4 ghz wifi routers. If you are near the router, no problem. But if you are, for example, in a place where with other phones you are connected with only one or two wifi signal bars, with this phone you will have lost signal completely. Back speaker volume is loud enough, but sound quality could have been better. Front speaker is fine. And a last thing that it does not have a magnetic field sensor. If you are not using any apps that need a compass (ex google sky), then not a problem at all. Otherwise, you cannot use this kind of apps. In conclusion, its a great phone with only limitations battery life and the lo wifi signal. Could lo wifi signal be fixed with an OTA update? Lets see if doogee will take some action.

No solution so far. I cannot know if it is a hardware or software issue. I send message to doogee official and they told me that they will solve it with a software update. Lets see if its indeed a software issue and if they can solve it with an OTA update. Except this small issue, it seems to be a very good phone. I am generally very satisfied.

Hello all. I bought in pre-sale this mobile in 2nd november with the end of pre-sale in 20th november and I received it in 19th dicember in Italy.
I am using it since a day!
First: battery was totally 0%
I waited for first charge (about 1 hour and 15 minutes...very fast!)
All first day I used it in stressing condition: wifi on, update of many applications, download new OTA update, checked youtube movies, audio test, Picture tests, whatsapp, facebook, ans so on.
At the end of the first day the battery indication is 82%!
Now it is 75% with 1 hour and 15 minutes of maps navigator used to come to work in 4G connection!
First impression is really strong!
My only 3 disappionted :
- use 2 sim or 1 sim and 1 microsd .... I wanted a mobile with 2 sim + microsd and with this mobile is NOT possible.
- battery is not removable, if you will need to change you ask to Oukitel support.
- home, menu and back keys have not back illumination.
I had a Leagoo Lead 1 and I must say that display resolution is the same (on teh paper!) but in this mobile it seems really better : brightness, resolution, quality!
Audio is good and cameras work really in great way!
4G is spectacular! I changed mobile just to have it.
I must say that pictures of the Oukitel k6000 pro that you posted should be a new model : K10000!
On Oukitel site it is already present but I don't like the design, I prefer K6000.
Now I want to root it , do you know how I can do?
Oukitel is developing Cyanogen to use in k6000. I just installed it in my k6000. But its not fully working maybe 95% done. If you need a 100% fully working rom you should go with the stock rom for now. Maybe in few days cm12 will be available at 100% for this k6000
ROM to prepare for this device. I hope you like

Is the phone still good after two months?
How about the vibration intensity when you're in a crowded place?
How about loudspeakers when you need to make a call only with the use of loudspeakers?
do you have a LED indication light for incoming sms, missed calls, emails, facebook msg, etc?
I'm planning in buying one.
I'm very dissatisfied with my elephone p8000.
I am very very satisfied!
I made root and I changed audio parameters because audio was too low but now the it is really loud, in all conditions (ring, song, bt ecc...)
I recharge its every 4 days and so I can forget to have every day the supply cable with me and recharging is just 1 hour long! Really fast!
The only sad thing is that I have not found a plastic or silicon cover to protect its, but for the moment I am really careful where I put it on table or other places to don't create scretch or risk of falls.
Display is really sensitive and with good image (great dimmer gap!). Camera ok, but slow to capture (leagoo Lead1 was really faster), so I installed Fast burst camera lite and now it is ok for fast needs.
The vibration it is the same of leagoo1 and for the moment I have not used it in really crowed situations, but I think that it is ok for everybody.
No led indication (this is a pity!)
Looking on different sites I found it to 100 euro from spain ...I think that it is a good and cheap price with fast shipping for europe. I paid 100 euro too but I waited presale period and shipping time (about 40 days).
If you find for that price is a good solution but if you spend more , maybe there are other models with more things of its (greater resolution, more functions, more RAM ecc... )

Still worth it in 2023 ??

Hello everyone,
I'd really like to buy this phone, I know it's about 4 years old.
I have some questions about the compatibility with different apps.
Does the Nova Launcher works on this ? I don't care about Gestures ....
What about the YouTube Vanced and AoD Notify ?
Are there some custom ROMs ?
What are the cons right now, here in Europe ( Germany ) with this mobile phone ?
I do not care about 5G. 4G should be more than enough for me.
Any advices are welcome, thank you
Get the Note 10+ instead; better specs, more ram and up 1tb expandable storage. The Exynos variants can be rooted but the Snapdragon variants are faster. Excellent build quality and it's a running machine.
6 GB ram and 128 GB memory should be okay for me

Never can have too much ram or storage, 256/12gb is the base model. One of the best displays out there. Best display to bezel ratio of anything out there. Very good cams.
Personally I take One UI over Nova; faster, capable, more efficient and very stable.
Only possible deficiency is no 3.5mm jack.
No variable refresh rate and ones with no 5G get very good SOT once optimized. These will run extremely well stock and as such the UI is very customizable.
Excuse me ,I'm not talking about Samsung mobile phones here

Nova works, at least on global version.
I bought a second hand mate 20x after a Xiaomi mi mix, and it's the best choice for sure. There is no other screen like this. And everything works all right, all the software, cameras, battery for 2 days long... It's unbeatable in every way.
even with foldables you get a smaller video in 16:9 ratio and you always enjoy the full screen.
i have a book case and it's like a foldable but without the problems of battery, breakable, etc

Vanced YouTube works as well. FNG gestures works perfect without root.
I can't root or install any different firmware. I thought I was going to miss it from my Xiaomi mi mix, but not so much. I just can't use Titanium backup and can't get rid of all the ads, but I can use dns.adguard.com as a private DNS and it avoids quite some ads.
It's running EMUI 12 and Huawei is still updating its kernel...
Even if I could spend 2000€ in another phone and 20x would cost the same I would choose 20x any time just for the aspect ratio and big unbeatable screen, speakers, robustness and battery optimization.

I still rock mine with long battery life of 7 - 9 days under medium use.
My global phone at one point had Nova launcher but eventually it was uninstalled because Nova eats away at battery. Besides, the phone is faster and snappier without it.
Vanced still works on it which is crazy cool.
For installing custom roms, downgrading to 9.0/9.1 is a necessity. But doing so may render newer apps inoperable. Personally, EMUI 12 is better than any version before it - even though its bootloader is locked and installing custom roms is a no no.
Cons for Germany? I cant say since I'm not in Europe.
The only 2 idiotic annoyances with the phone are: 1) auto brightness is enabled at startup and 2) notifications to update to network time. Although the notifications dont happen a lot theyre still annoying. Had there been none of these issues, the phone would be perfect.
At one point, I was thinking of selling it and buying the Note 20 ultra which can be upgraded to One UI 5.1, a very nice UI upgrade touch. But in the end I found myself keeping my 20x because of its wide aspect ratio (which unfortunately phone makers have abandoned as I'm still scratching my head over that) and bigger screen even though the Note 20 Ultra may have sharper resolution. However, if one day my 20x does become broken I will not buy another 20x. Instead I'll buy the N20U.
If you have more questions let me know.

Appreciate that. I have 2 questions..
1) If you could get the Note 20 Ultra brand new in exchange for the 20x would you exchange it?
2) I keep getting notifications on "network time unavailable" to enable location. How do I disable this annoying notification?
1) Not even a S23 Ultra. Why? Mainly because I'd lose almost 1cm width and 1cm height of screen with the same weight. I'm sure the battery wouldn't last as long, the fingerprint wouldn't work as well, and most probably the UI would be a little faster with 120Hz but again, with a lot of battery drain, I'd miss the 3.5 audio jack and the super speakers from the Mate 20X. I'm not a gamer, but gaming would be something that probably would run faster in the S23 Ultra compared to the Mate 20X. I don't use a Stylus. Phone camera sensors are limited by their size. For the rest I'm sure there is no real gain. Whatsapp, Youtube and Chrome are my main usage of the phone and all I need is the biggest screen and better sound as possible.
2) No clue

Got to say you're wrong about the battery comparison. The s23 ultra"s battery greatly exceeds the one in the 20x by far.
Maybe...
