Luxa2 Aluminum Tablet stand $9.99 + other clearance items - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Accessories

I picked up their phone stand and posted a very small review here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2498734
The build quality of the phone stand is pretty nice so I picked up the tablet one also and am just waiting for it to arrive.
Pretty good for an all aluminum tablet stand for $9.99

*photos were pulled from their site*
They have a bunch of other stuff on clearance too: http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/store/PromotionEvent.aspx?EI=6e9cad29-8972-4c89-aa79-7df8e430e24a

I like how it says, "for iPad only", but later mentions "Designed to put e-books with sizes of 145cm to 245cm, the H6 can hold the iPad, Kindle DX or other eBooks, Tablet PCs in the market that coming out soon."
Check out the price on TigerDirect: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7895872 and Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...s&field-keywords=LUXA2+H6&rh=i:aps,k:LUXA2+H6

nice catch! lol!
that's pretty funny

Any Decent Cases in the UK??

Hi all,
I'm not having much luck getting a decent case for my Xoom in the UK, so far I have bought the following:-
(1) UltimateAddons Anti-Shock Memory Foam Sleeve Case for Motorola Xoom Tablet PC
(http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004U7BW60) - This was WAY TOO BIG!
(2) Port Designs Berlin Netbook Skin 10 Inch With Life Time Warranty (black)
(http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002PD61B2) - Nice case but really designed to hold a notebook (Has straps to hld the screen & keyboard) so my Xoom slips around inside.
(3) Black Rugged Carrying Case for Apple IPAD, iPAD2 AND Motorola Xoom 10.1 inch Tablet
(http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004W1CFMO) - Didn't bother opening this one as it looked like my Xoom would slip around inside this case too??
I would prefer a case with handles but failing that a leather case - I quite like the ZooGue Leather case but this is not available in the UK
Any Suggestions??
Cheers
Ody
Well, I'm not in the UK, but I'm down here in Australia, so I have even less range to choose from than you (the Xoom isn't even out here yet). Well, you could still order the zoogue one from their site, I think. I'm pretty sure they have international shipping, don't they?
Also, I recently bought a case off eBay that has fully adjustable viewing angles (via the use of velcro), like the zoogue but is only US$25. I think it looks really nice too, but I guess I'll find out when it arrives.
I can't post links, but if you search "Black Folio Leather Case Cover For Motorola Xoom Tablet" exactly, it should show up. It's the one with taylor swift in on the xoom screen, and the seller is "dcone_us"
I've also been looking in the UK without much luck.
word of warning on the zoogue case, I preordered, but since it shipped 3 weeks ago I've not recieved anything. No responce to my latest emails to them either

My experience of buying stuff from the US, is that you'll get hammered for customs!
I wanted an Otterbox for my old Dell streak and ordered one from an ebay seller for about £20 inc postage (in the UK you could only pre-order for about £26) BUT the post office then charged me £10 adminstration for the customs, £1.70 VAT then another £1 for having the incorrect duty, so in the end it cost me £34 odd pounds!!
I Just checked on the ZooGue website that they ship by USPS so it will take a few weeks + the customs hold up
It took about 3 weeks for my Otterbox to arrive and that was bt USPS Express! which is faster than USPS Priority??
I am in Sweden and ordered the Zoogue case. After almost three weeks it arrived and I can only recommend it, its a great case.
I bought this one from ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270737383497
It's OK. The hole for the front facing camera wasn't positioned correctly so it covered it a little bit. I made it larger with a knife and now it's fine. You can't plug in the charger when its fully closed. Apart from those issues it's adequate. Better than the official case anyway.
The stock folio case is pretty good, seems to provide decent protection while being relatively small.
I ordered this one and its a perfect fit and looks great
Tuff-Luv 'Veggie' Faux Leather Pull-Tab Case for Motorola Xoom from Amazon UK. Sorry forum blocks me from posting url.
got the stock folio case , pretty happy with it , not too bulky , enough protection , 2 stand positions , think it was £30
I've tried a few cases (all from Amazon UK)...
The Navitech - cheap, but if you just want protection, then I guess it works, but I'm not using it, as the flap doesn't work in sofa mode
Motorola Folio - advertised as leather on Amazon, but it's nylon. No scratching problems for me, and I actually like it... protection at minimum size and it works in the speaker dock too. No more holding the Xoom while lying on a sofa
PDair BX2 Black Leather Case - expensive, but it is well made. It also offers more tilt positions than the Folio case. Doesn't work in the dock, but very easy to remove the Xoom from it (unlike the Folio case). Offers more protection than folio case, but it is bulkier. Also the leather border means some buttons on the edge of the screen can be a bit harder to press, compared to the Folio.
For the moment I am using the PDair
I've just recieved this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004XGIPJA/ref=oss_product
I think it's excellent for the price.
Great fit, solid close, and the stand doesn't collapse under pressure.
I just ordered this one
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cover-Up-Moto...K_iPad_Tablet_Accessories&hash=item2310525de7
So fingers crossed it is nice. A bit more expensive than some of the others cheap cases... if it is no good then my next choice will be the noreve case

Brand new Zoogue case in the UK
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....70524&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_500wt_1156
I've ordered this one for 19.10 GBP (22,54 EUR) incl. shipping costs:
LuvTab Black Luxury Executive Wallet (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004X5JO9Q/ref=oss_product)
Ordered it at Amazon.co.uk, but from Germany. I seems that it has been shipped from Krefeld/Germany, so it arrived less than 2 days after
For the moment I'm contented with it, it fits perfectly and doesn't bloat the Xoom too much. If I come to the US as planned for this summer, I'll have a look at this special new original folio case from Moto/VZW. Until then the current one is well enough.
Once which is the biggest problem with all of these cases appears with this as well: the device can't be charged while the case is closed.
If anyone's interested,
I ordered and received a second ZooGue Genius leather case for the xoom, now on ebay for UK mailing..
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190534111386#ht_500wt_1156
I received this one
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260775644654&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_1727wt_916
not bad for 12.99 + free delivery.

Received now and it isn't too bad. Nice soft leather... if perhaps a little too soft. The case seems to suffer from the top lip around the front camera not sitting snugly to the device that similar cases report. No notification light cutout or closed charging cutout.
Not bad for using in stand mode but still slips down a little a although there is a bottom flap that folds under the case there is no fixing for it. Also the lowest angle is not too comfortable for typing so had to lie it down flat. But the elastic fastening strap is very "moleskin" and secure.
They also claim there is a stylus/SD card slot but that is not really practical... if you look at the front there is a vertical line in the leather... this not just a detail stitch but a flap of sorts that might be OK for sliding business cards or notes of paper that you want handy briefly but anything of any depth just falls out all the time!
All in all though it isn't a bad case now I have gotten used to it and over come my first impression and given up with stylus pocket thing.

Retail Case for 10.1 Tab

Does anyone know where to get a good case for the 10.1 at a store? Tried ordering something online, and that didn't pan out and now I got 3 days to get a case before my trip.
Anyone have any experience with a case from target/bestbuy/walmart whatever that works and doesn't cost an arm and a leg?
Targus Truss
There is a case at Best Buy, I wanna say it is 40 USD but well worth it. It closes with an elastic banf that doubles as and hand strap. It also has three landscape viewing angles that work great for video. It is my first and only case though, but quite nice and stylish!
Belkin not a good buy
I bought the "better" of the two Belkin cases at Target...
It's nice but doesn't fit right... the Tab slides out a bit and makes touching the power and volume buttons difficult.

Vipertek case from Amazon.com is 5stars. Best case ever. I like it better than the Samsung Official Book Case. Plus it doesn't cost over $30 and fast shipping.
Found a Belkin case at BestBuy that was pretty nice, but didn't want to buy it for $49. Turns out Target sells the exact same Belkin case for $29. SOLD!
Went into a Verizon store and grabbed the book case one. I love it!
Try this case which comes with Bluetooth keyboard.

Nice case for kindle fire-only $21.00

Most cases for the Kindle Fire are expensive. This is cheap and well built
I bought this case at Office Max for 20.00 today. It's for the Blackberry Playbook but fits great with the kindle. The inside provides 3 grooves for a built in stand. The bottom lip covers the whole bottom kindle edge and the top two corners are also well built, no elastic bands here. Staples also sells this.
It's called Targus Truss™ Case/Stand for BlackBerry® PlayBook
Please don't take this as spamming, I am just letting people know not to pay more if you don't have to.
I like the orange interior on Targus' website.

Case meant for Kindle Fire Fits pretty well. BB pricematched Amazon. Pics inside.

I was looking at cases based on their posted measurements and I noticed that most of the Kindle Fire cases were within a slim enough of tolerances for the types that use the stretchy elastic material on the corners of the tablet to hold it in place.
I saw this case in person over the weekend at my local Best Buy and it seemed like it would probably fit but Best Buy was asking $39.99 for it and I didn't want to sink that much money on a guess.
Best Buy Link
I found the exact same case on Amazon for literally half the price. $19.99.
Amazon link
So I printed out the Amazon page and ran over to Best Buy on my lunch today with my Nexus 7 in hand to test it first before deciding.
It fits pretty well and works for my needs, at least for the foreseeable future.
Only annoyances are...
1: the elastic band in corner where the power button is covers it up a bit. You can still push the button through the elastic material but I already found the power button on this new Nexus 7 to be a bit annoying to use and this doesn't help that. Can also do a shake to wake kind of app to avoid pushing the power button.
2: No magnetic wake/sleep functions. I don't personally care much about that and it can be solved with a ambient light sensor app if you really wanted it to behave like a case with with magnets.
I asked a manager on the floor there if they'd price match it to the Amazon price and showed him the printout and he said "no problem" and told me to head up to checkout and he'd radio them to tell them to match it.
Other than the checkout guy not knowing their checkout system very well and struggling with finding the section to do price matches, it went without a hitch!
For those of you in my situation looking for decent quality case made from nice feeling and appearing materials and that doesn't add a ton of bulk, I'd say for $20, this is the best thing I've found for my Nexus 7 to date. At least until the official cases actually hit the stores and online sellers.
I attached some pics of the case with the Nexus 7 in it.

Devicewear Ridge Case Available

Hey all, just an FYI: The Devicewear Ridge case is available as of today, 9/5. I have no experience at all with this particular case, however it is very similar to the Speck Fitfolio case, which I had for my 1st gen N7 and absolutely loved. Hopefully the Speck case is right around the corner here too
http://www.devicewear.com/the-ridge-by-devicewear-vegan-leather-case-for-the-google-nexus-7-ver-2/
i was at their site earlier and didn't see it available. considering their version for the 1st gen is only $17.99 with prime shipping, it's kinda hard to justify the extra $22 for this new one. i'll wait until amazon gets it and see if the price would drop. now to wait until speck's fitfolio to release and make my final decision.
Yeah, a bit pricey... but if it's anything like the Speck it's definitely high quality. I'm gonna give Speck a little time here to get to the market, but if they take too long I'll probably pull the trigger on this.
I'm not buying from anybody who describes plastic as "vegan leather"
Ok :fingers-crossed:
so amazon has this case listed as temporarily out of stock now for $28.10, i've just ordered it for $30.59 after tax to NY. hopefully amazon will get their batch soon. if bestbuy gets the speck fitfolio first, then my money will go there instead since i have a $10 GC.
link to amazon for reference only:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EZGS5PC/ref=ox_ya_os_product
This is what I was waiting for from Devicewear. But now I'm waiting for this Origami Slimshell to arrive. It looks a little different than the Moko, Poetic, and other typical cases.
http://www.amazon.com/rooCASE-Google-Tablet-Origami-SlimShell/dp/B00ET9H588
But usually these types of cases aren't steady enough for me in landscape mode so I'll probably end up getting the Devicewear Ridge in the end.
