USB 3.0 problem - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

for some reason when I connect my usb 3.0 cable to my note 3 the option to use 3.0 mode on the phone is gone. It was working before. Now when i connect I click on "more usb options' and the box that says use 3.0 is now gone. I tried reboot and made sure my usb was connected to 3.0 port on computer. Also tried reinstalling drivers. Anyone else have this issue?

You shouldn't have to swipe or do anything like that. When you use the 3.0 cable, you should get 3 options. Reinstall kies for the note 3.

[Q] Pc wont recognize device

I'm using aokp rom , when I plug my device into my PC it will charge but nothing else.
I've tried different USB cables and different USB ports any suggestions
I use Carbon Rom, but you can see if this works:
Go to Settings-> Storage
Click on the dots on the top right
Choose USB Computer Connection
Check off MTP
Had this problem myself, and doing a search I found this solution worked for me.
------
Also make sure if you have a kernel that supports USB Fast Charge that you disable fast charge before connecting the cable.

[Q] USB 3.0 Connection issues

I'm not having any issues with the MTP connection but when i tick the usb 3.0 transfer box, the device is no longer there.
Windows 7 i downloaded the drivers from the samsung website. I can transfer no problems over the MTP but as soon as i switch the device just disappears from my computer. Just a bit confusing, if anyone could tell me what i did wrong or if i need to download anything else much appreciated!

You have proper USB 3.0 drivers for the xhci controller that it's plugged into? What chipset drives your USB 3 ports?

Grab you laptop and look at USB ports. Are they blue. If not u don't have USB 3.0. Also check your computer online with manufacturer to see what ur computer has.

[Q] Can't connect to the PC

I have had issues connecting the Note 4 to my PCs. I have tried multiple cables and computers. A usb error appears "Usb Device not recognized" "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and WIndows does not recognize it." All PC's are running windows 8. I have tried connecting it via fastboot to flash to stock as well as through ADB and I cannot get anything to read the device.
Are you using the oem cable? Sometimes cheap generic cables give errors. Enable usb debugging and see if that helps. Good luck.

Thanks but I've tried multiple. OEM and aftermakert cables. I found that when I put it in the charger it doesn't detect it as AC. I believe for some reason when the phone is connected to the PC it doesn't switch to MTP, which could cause the issue. I have wiped the phone, tried different roms, and installing plasma kernel. I am at my wits end. I have tried finding sprint's seceret number to dial, supposedly there's a menu to force MTP but I can't find it anywhere.
OK. So I couldn't connect via cable I tried flashing the stock image though mobile odin and now I lost recovery and the phone bootloops. Does anyone know a way to boot into recovery from the external SD card?
I would just flash the OF5 tar and start from scratch. http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...om-sm-n910p-stock-of5-odin-flashable-t3158114
Sounds like it's your computer.
Edit: Any other phone's Samsung or not able to connect? Does your phone charge with any or all of your cables? Hopefully the stock cable.
You need to go to Device Manager and Uninstall/reinstall the drivers pertaining to USB
Uninstall the samsung drivers
After that, unplug your powercord from the laptop
connect the phone to your usb port first and then replug your powercord and turn on your laptop
let the usb and samsung drivers reinstall(auto or manual)(if it detects it normally))

I wish I could, the issue is that since I get this USB error, I can't get ODIN to detect my phone.

I was able to get my Note 3 to connect with no problem, I was even able to get ODIN to detect it in Fastboot. I have one more cable I am going to try tonight, I have my girlfriend bringing it with her. I may have switched an S4 cable with the Note 4 cable. I hope this is the case.

I was using my desktop, and I tried this on my laptop. Didn't work. Thanks though! I am wondering if this possibly could be a Windows 8.1 issue...
Anyways, 5.50 to anyone who gets this working.
I accidentally switched cables with my son's s4 and nothing would work. Figured it out and then I could connect to my computer. Could be the same thing lol.

I wish that was the case. I am wondering if it's a windows 8 issue now.
I'm on 8.1 pro, and my devices detects fine under cm12.1.
Have you tried going into Settings > Storage. select the 3 dot menu on the top right and force MTP or PTP detection while device is connected to PC / Laptop?

[Q] Unable to get in Download Mode

Just as the title says, I've tried to get into download mode by pressing the up volume key while plugging in the cable, also tried using one of the root kits that are given to have them put me into download mode but even they cannot get me to it, just gives me an error or telling me to get into download mode manually but of course i can't do that. Can anyone shed and light on this situation?
Try connecting the USB cable to a different port. Sometimes connecting the cable to a USB 3.0 port causes issues, so try connecting to a USB 2.0 port if possible.

Are you using a custom ROM....
Anyway after connecting your phone you should see a notification on the bar that says USB for charging, click on that and tap on the second option, USB for media transfer
Anymore suggestion
