Its standard service menu in Sony phones
But anyway thanks for sharing

Any Sony phone
This code works on any Sony/Sony Ericsson Phone.

Dialing *#*#7378423#*#* is just dialling *#*#SERVICE#*#* on an numeric keypad.
Just in case someone thinks it's a mystery number.

No voicemail notifications on CM10

Hey, ever since I flashed an CM10 M2 on my phone, I don't get voicemail notifications anymore, is this normal? Is there a way I can bring this feature back on the phone?
I am running the CM10 M2 Rom, stock kernel, and I am on Bell Mobility network here in Canada.
I've missed a couple calls and never realized that I wasn't getting any voicemails.
Thanks,
JP
No one?

Thanks, indeed I inputted my carriers voicemail in my settings, but its the notifications that I'm not getting, when pressing 1, I am able to go into voicemail, just no notification of a voicemail when I have one.

Maybe a bug ? Are you running a nightly? Also check I'm not sure but some roms you can turn notifications off so check to see if they are enabled

if you dont know the carriers voicemail #, you can also just input *your* phone number with area code, and +1
Code:
1 (area-code) (phone-number)

Yep, that's the one I have been using, and not notifications... Will try my own personal # and see if there's any changes.

Hi JP.
Im with bell and this is a common CM issue.
Apparently in in cm7.1 they had this issue and someone created a patch that made voicemails work for bell(and others). after the CM rolled out cm9 and 10 they stopped applying the patch/fix.
For reference here's the gerrit post about the patch fix: http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#/c/13322/
Hopefully the right person see's this and can help us Bell users.

Gpslocationprovider wake lock on even though gps off? On all star liquid v5.5

Hey guys I'm having a problem where the Gpslocationprovider wake lock is constantly on even though the gps option is off. But the location service is on. Is there any solution to this problem? Sorry if this has been asked before but I checked several threads and I didn't find any solution to the problem..

I get this problem occasionally too. It's the maps application acting up. For me I go into settings then apps then maps. Then force close, wipe data, and reboot.

I disabled location access entirely as well as syncs but it still goes on with wakelocks. Strange, since I never had this problem before. I stopped maps and cleared data&cache, will see if that fixes it.
apparently it may be an issue with the new gapps maps app. update us with any info

Best way to install 4.2.2 on a new C6503?

So I'm just about to start charging my ZL for eight hours to condition the battery.. how should I best install 4.2.2? I've read that some users are having issues with 4.2.2 but others aren't who update under certain conditions.
Should I install the SIM, then update OTA?
Should I install via PC Companion in the normal way?
Should I somehow wipe the phone first then update in another way?
Your help is much appreciated! :good:
Thanks as always,

It depends on your current firmware,,if it's anything.other than .253 ,I recommend that you do a complete re-install,via Sony update service( search Google & download it) & not by pc companion or Ota.
This will reinstall the fw by doing a full wipe( takes some time depending on your internet speed), but this will reduce your chances of facing any bugs.
If you feel that I've helped you in any way,,please hit the thanks button

[Q] Xperia sound output

Hello guys!
Since an year ago I am using Walkman v7,5 and I am very pleased by the sound quality. The only bad thing is the low sound output which the arc has. When I am using large headphones or speakers connected, the need of higher output is big.
On my previous SE K800i by modifying the acoustics files I was able to increase the output of the sound.
My question is, is there any mod/or doing by myself for increasing headphones signal? Thanks in advance!
U may use acid audio engine worth evry bit
Hit thanks if I helped u..

If you have root, you can use ALSA mixer to modify speaker output and other sound related parameters. ACID audio engine does not work with every ROM and may not increase speaker volume.
Please only press thanks if it genuinely helped you and not spam every Q&A thread with a "Click thanks if I helped". It's not right if the person pressed thanks for getting wrong information.

Thanks for the responses! I thought that there should be something like Xloud but for headphones. A friend of mine with old Samsung (armv6 platform) found a similar thing and now he has very high signal from the 3,5 jack.
...btw or its kernel related?
Thanks in advance

Just use this trick ,,
Change this in buildprop
From
persist.audio.hp=true
To
persist.audio.hp=false
If you cant fins the line just add it ,,
It removes the headphone audio protection
i was able to increase sound to 8/15 steps now i can increase to fully 15/15 steps also for internal speaker

With due respect, it's not wrong to ask for thanks but at least provide him with more information. Don't just write there "flash ACID engine" and leave it that way; link him to a thread that can teach him how to install it.

Thanks for the program, but it doesn't work for me. I have no options to choose from. Maybe is because of the Walkman with the beats, dolby, etc, or maybe due to the non-original kernel(Lupus v10).
btw, i don't know but i still believe that is driver or kernel related with the signal to noise output.

Nothing different. I've added the line(there was no hear protection line), rebooted, but no difference.
The needed files to edit are in system/etc or system/etc/audio. I found that on the Samsung phones is very simple. There's a default_gain.conf file in system/etc containing the dB for any of the sound devices(speakers, headphones, headset, etc).

My mistake...as a lil exhausted....
thanks
Any news from august to now that can solve the problem? By solving it, i mean not with apps or etc, cause they are incompatitable with the Walkman. As far as i checked phone's drivers, the hardware is capable of 114.5dB(or something like this, it was several months ago), but unfortunately Sony has it's stupid rule to limit the output to ~85dB.
Six months ago i triend for a while one JB ROM with DSP, and the audio was good with great output... unfortunately i removed the ROM because of the camera issues and the JB was smoother but slower compared to my ics rom.
...ohh, and other question about niceness of processes. After rebooting the phone the first 40 hours of usage are normal. But around after that time the phone threats the media process kinda different and there are frequent cracks when listening to music, which is strongly unacceptable. I believe i'm using modded phone for better multimedia xperiance, not worse. I've been writting some unit.d codes, but i had little success with the conversations process, sometimes works, sometimes not. There were and other cases in which works for a while but the supercharger argues with the code.

Let`s try Android 4.4 apps!
