Leaked 4.3 from Samsung for Note 2 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hopefully someone can implement this to work for our T-Mo variants of the Note 2 International edition.
Mod Edit

Theres a few threads regarding 4.3 leaks. And some are already running TW 4.3 Roms on the T889. Jusy gotta look at the other 4.3 threads.

I would refer you to this thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47418075

Development or Original Development

Can someone explain the difference between the development thread and the original development of thread? I know how people are on these boards and don't want to post in the wrong sections.

If it's anything like the S3 pages "OG" Development will be for the likes of AOSP/AOKP roms and tools while the Android Development will stick to roms and tools for TW items.
Sent from the second version of a hefty "Note" pad.

Original Android Development is for ROMs, Kernels, Modules [...] developed from SOURCE.
Android Development is for Modded Stock ROMs and everything else that's NOT a genuine development work (read: has not been built from source)
Here is another good resource if you want to read about it a little bit more...

quick "possible dumb" question

Hello all, i have a quick question about my note II that i just purchased. Im currently living/vacationing in bangkok and bought the phone at the mbk mall, for those of you who have been know how crazy/shady the place is, they sold it to me as unlocked but i noticed the data wasnt working so i asked them about it and they quickly ran off to another stall and came back with it working. They ended up rooting it and adding the networks apn to get the data to work and all is well now. Back to my question, id like to know which of the mod section belongs to my phone as ive nornally rooted each android device myself and would hate to have anything happen to it as im sure the people that sold it to me would not help me in any way. Is it the G note II section or original note II section? The phone is a GT N7100 from france
Thanks in advance

Yes i know that much, i guess i should have made myself more clear. What section do i go to for roms for the gt n7100 as the note II section has more roms/kernels then the original note II section
Both orig and dev section have roms.
Original contains roms build from source and kernels and other things.
Dev section includes mods and roms based on other roms like most roms based on samsung or a port or sharing something.

either. as previously stated, the only difference is whether the rom is orignal (built from source) or based on another rom (stock TW and its variations.)

[REQUEST] Port this AOSP messaging app

If someone/anyone could port THIS AOSP style messaging app to our Sprint GS3's and get it working for TouchWiz 4.1.2 that'd be awesome :good:

Why do we have 2 SGS 4 sections?

Why do we have a T-mobile
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2279
and a regular SGS4 forums
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2162'
Aren't we T-mobile USA M919 people the same thing as SGS4 9505?
International version is the 19500 something something

There's the International i9500 and the i9505... one is the octa-core and the other is the quad-core just like the m919. i9505 and m919 ROMs (all SGS4 models except the 9500, actually) are interchangeable so long as they don't include modems/baseband, etc...but who does that anyway? Oh, and the kernel; gotta use a kernel for your specific model...
Yeah.. I get everything you guys are saying, but my question is NOT "What kind of phones are out there"
My question is why do we have 2 forums, the T-mobile forum, and the other SGS4 forum... when we can all just go into the 9505 forum on xda..

Yea but think of how many problems this would cause because of the 3 or 4 things that are not compatible. Seems like its easier for newbies to just look for where they bought their phone and not have to worry about basebands, Kernels, Radio/Modems and any other incompatible firmware.

I think things are bad as it is and I agree that 3-4 different S4 models in the same forums
is just asking for more problems and a lot more little shiny BRICKS! LOL
What I really would like to see though, and I am surprised that no one else mentioned it before me which is
the fact that there are two Tmobile M919 Forums, one for the "T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4 Original Android Development"
and the other for "T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4 Android Development".
At first when the the "Original Development" forums were created it was made clear to all the devs that all the CM10/AOSP/AOKP/MIUI
roms belong in the "Original Development" forums. (this held true for other brands and models of phones not just the S4)
And now for who knows what reason a lot of the CM10/AOSP/AOKP devs started using the "T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4 Android
Development" forum for all those AOSP/AOKP/CM10 roms so now they are all mixed together with the standard Touchwiz Jellybean
based custom roms.
Sometimes it's not very easy to even tell which is which unless we search real hard in the OP post of each roms thread.
I am surprised that none of the xda moderators here have said anything about it, and it's been going on now for a long time.

Its because the ROMs in the original development section are built from source. The other section may be based on aosp ROMs but its not built from source.

It all is very clear. Of everything is original development for original roms. Roms that have original coding and features. Everything else goes in the other development. It is not just a matter of being built from source. I could build an AOKP roms from source but it would not go in original development. As there is nothing original in the rom. Just a kang of someone else's work.
As for the OP question. The simplest and most straight forward answer is that people are stupid and can't read or do proper research before they decide to reprogram their device. So we have to separate them and give them less chance of screwing it up and then filling this development forum with tons of thread stating how they bricked their device and need help fast, like this is some support site.
Wayne Tech Nexus
When the s3 came out last year, I remember that there was only one forum for the Intl and US variants, boy what a mess it was reading threads that does not relate to the tmo version or the att one. I'm glad xda realized it and separated it like how it is now. It is better this way and much easier to find answers or ask questions related to your specific device.

on the international side roms are based off the international stock version.
Then you have the carrier branded sites for tmobile att verizon etc.. which have roms based off there respective carrier. So for us its based off tmobile rom with tmobile bloat ie wifi calling.
that at least my take.

WICKED ROM thread close

It is very very sad to see the close WICKED ROM thread here on Xda. WICKED was and is the most famous and known ROM on M919 but now...?

The moderator said the intent was to only close it for a few days. Hopefully evilart will contact him to make sure it comes back to life.
Been on every wicked since v7 came out and it is the best Rom out there for the s4 and it would definitely be sad if there is no more development on it.

Thread moved to Q and A, as this is clearly not development and, thread closed...please take time to read moderator messages next time and not create thread like this. Use of PM is a better way as well.
