Hi There,
Do you guys using the original headset or dump this away and use another better one?
Problem is, where are you going to find a stereo headset with mic with the same connector as your device?
Don't chuck it.

i dont think so.. they do make a 3.5 mm converter though that has a mic option built into it. Not sure if it's what you're looking for but just know its available. Here's an example of one: http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=10100000_900000_11000048&products_id=5469

Wired Ext USB Headset?

Hi folks,
I'm looking for a comfy headset (or two) for a TyTn II & Athena 100.
I love the remote here:
http://i.expansys.com/i/b/b150195.jpg
...but hate these type of ear pieces.
Is there anything similar with a headset or that will allow a PC (stereo) headset to be used?
Cheers!
..
ill think you'll find that headset allows you to use different headsets (3.5mm) however i just ordered the htc u110 adaptor ... check that out ?

Seems to be an HC E100 which i just ordered on Fleabay for under 14 quid.
I looked at the u110 but there's not enough buttons on it lol.
Cheers for the info!

[Q] Does anyone uses Apple In-Ear Headphones for Xperia S??

OMG my Apple In-Ear is not working with the new Xperia S.
Anyone with same problems?
I use a pair of Shure in-ear headphones designed for the iPhone and they work great.
So sad :-(

No need to be, the apple in-ear phones stink anyway.

I read somewhere that Sony have changed it so that it's the same as most devices like Apple and Blackberry so it should work.
Maybe your ones are broken.

I read the same article too!
I try my apple in ear with my friends iPhone and I works perfectly. :-(
Tested OEM apple headphones, doesn't work
Tested Seinhauser headphones, doesn't work
Tested OEM Samsung GSII headphones, works....
I've had it, sending mine back. First the retailer doesn't supply the hdmi as advertised, then I have to deal with "some" headphones work issues.
No thanks.
No offense but why would you want to use Apple headphones? They are some of the worst headphones on the planet.
Yeah, I don't understand why you'd want to use apple headphones, you can buy a lot better headphones for so low... try some audio technica ones if you are in a budget. Apple standard ones distort everything so much...
If you are asking me, my sennheiser are my primary headphones, they were around $100 and just plain rock. With the same standard, they "should" work.
I shouldn't need to buy new headphones because Sony can't play nice with the "standard"

Hello sfai05,
I have got exactly the same problem as you describe .
Did you already manage to fix this? Or do you know what the problem is?
I am looking forward to your response. If I solve the problem myself I will post it here (sadly I'm not very technical minded; maybe that's why I bought those Apple- In-Ear plugs ).
Good luck man.
Armstrong
PS I cannot imagine that there is not a solution to this. Sony cannot be that retarded can they? :S
Sorry for un-burying this topic but I just got an Idea.
Theres some workarounds here to modify some iphone headseats to work perfectly with xperia S.
But in those you have to open the microphone housing and solder some wires and add resistors.
Shouldnt it be possible to just add an extension headset cable which you open and change the wirings and maybe add some resistors?
So pissed, Bought some Pioneer headphones with a compatible with Iphone cable, wont work on my new Xperia S grrrr..
This says it should work??

Will sennheiser mm50 work?

Seems to me they are exactly the same. Take a look at the packaging here.
If it's Sony you must have, then you can't go wrong with the MDR-1R.
Not sure if i tested the same pair of sony headphones but they look the same and to be honest they didnt sound that great but then since it was a demo they could have been dodgy.
I bought a pair of AKG headphones in a local shop near my university and they sounded as good as the monster ntune headphones (which i also tested) and for less than half the price.

Guys, I'd love to buy these headphones but 35 quid max is my budget. I've decided to go for the fashion ones since they do have a good reviews and look the same ... Also I need a microphone so pure headphones are a no for me!
Thanks Again
