Signal Bars - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I'm trying to change the signal bars from 4 to 5. From what I have search this is done somewhere in services.jar though I thought it was done in an xml file, please correct me if I'm wrong. So if it is in services.jar I just someone to point me in the right direction.

One of those. Maybe ask the Wanam Xposed module dude; he modded it to allow for a 4, 5, or 6 level signal bar. Love the finer granularity,

I would bet SystemUI would be involved in some way as well - just throwing that out there.

I wouldn't doubt it, but would what I need be in the res folder or the smali folder?

I'm not positive, but smali is where things (images) get pointed to... likely need some restructuring though to properly point to things given signal strength. That being said, I could be wrong

For the longest I thought the changes I needed to make were in the /res/drawable folder. There's data in and out xml's and stuff for battery and GPS but nothing for signal.

Any success yet ????

I am interested as well. 4 Bars is ok, but I am used to 5. The more granularity the better. It'd be nice to get dBm up there too.

(Q) add bootsound and power off sound

Basically the topic says it all. Im trying to learn how to add bootsound and power off sounds. Like the stock el29 ROM has! I was able to change the sound no problem but, I couldnt find away to add a poweroff sound. So wat information am I missing? Can someone post a how to link or pm a quick how to?! I just need to know what to look for and how to do it. I should be able to take it from there. Thanks and I would generally like to apply this to all the roms!! But I would like to know what roms are capable of this. Sorry for me just rambling on

I'm pretty sure it's just the bootanimation.zip.
Do you have Rom Toolbox yet? It comes with a buttload of very nice boot animations ready to go and I know they work with your rom.
Edit: Use the main search button at the very top of any thread to find stuff like 'e4gt creating bootanimations' or 'e4gt editing bootanimations'. Like I said, try to keep it simple for the best results.
---------- Post added at 12:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:26 PM ----------
Here's a really good one: Search 'bootanimation collection'
without the quotes of course.
And please have a current backup handy, just in case.

[Q] Jelly Bean 260dpi Lock Screen Center Mod?

Hey guys,
Anyone running a Jelly Bean ROM with a lower than 320 dpi will understand how annoying it is for the items on the lockscreen (time, date, lock-ring, provider) to be off-centre, justified to the right.
As far as I can see, there are no mods / patches for this problem at the moment. I'm not a developer, but it appears that it is possible to fix this:
http://localhostr.com/files/IOkAg3b/06-07-2012_114518.jpg
http://h10.abload.de/img/basiansmod_jellybelly4yrr6.png
If this IS possible, it would be great if one of you fantastic devs could put together a little mod for us to flash in recovery
Is this theoretically possible?

Unfortunately, I don't know. I stumbled across this screenshot on one of the ROM forums (can't remember which one ) and somebody was claiming to be able to fix the problem, but he was pretty much ignored..
I was hoping a dev might recognize some of the code and be able to identify where it came from
If someone will get me that file name I will make the changes now and test, this is also driving me crazy, I am looking into it as I type lol
ok, i found the .xml file to change with the code I need to change, however changing it does nothing.
the file name is "keyguard_screen_unlock_portrait", found here "framework-res.apk\res\layout"
again the changes do nothing, even after clearing cache nothing happens. They only thing I was able to get to change was moving the "charging text" to the left of the screen. I am not a dev so I have no idea why this is not working.

I present you, what I did with my Photoshop powers. The thing that every ROM needs, Galaxy S (Plus) Device, Completely Remade. Make your threads even more amazing, with some fancy pics. You won't find anything as detailed as this.
„Just Turn off that ugly Samsung Logo and be Happy”
On a side note: Hey - I make this stuff! Please, just ask me, if you want me to make you icons, covers and other kinds of art! I remade an iPhone and an iMac too and lots more! Not only I do Photoshop, but also After Effects, Cinema 4D, so my stills could come alive to a (boot) animation.

Not sure if you meant this but the message sounded like you think this is a separate app or something . This is a document for Photoshop. You can make a screenshot actually "inside" the device, like it's actually shown on the display, with all the glare, reflections, etc.
If you dont understand this all - you probably don't need to mess with it, it's for people who want their threads be really nice, for people who care about detail.
You can also turn Samsung logo and buttons off so it looks like a nexus device.
If you want the wallpaper, search "sense 5 wallpapers" on Google.

1080x1920 HTC One "Everything your phone isn´t"

Hey guys,
I made a bootanimation for the HTC One .
Its in 30fps and will show you the HTC One advertised slogan " Everything your phone isn´t" in a nice way !
Its 20mb. Sorry I couldn´t make it smaller but you get a high quality animation.
Preview gif (shows only the first part, there are 2 parts afterwards <slogan>, i couldn´t make the gif bigger)

Its not flashable. You have to move it to /data/local (or to the right directory if your ROM uses a different location + rename it to bootanimation.zip or htc bootup )
and replace the old one. (use adb or ES file explorer on your phone)
Make sure the permissions are set correctly:
rw
rw
r
then reboot.
Enjoy.
There should come a few more sooner or later
Credit:
I used this template, adjusted the size. colour . and text. Thanks to the creator!
Sharing Policy: You can use it on your phone. If you wan´t to include it in a ROM , ask me first (you will get the permission to use it to 99%).

If your an xposed user, you can use netspeed indicator i believe its called. Or also if you want a rom that has it built in, dynamic 2.0 has it as well.
Looks something like that. Thats from dynamic. The xposed module is colorable and has a few options whereas dynamics vwrsion is not.

I finally got this installed, and it doesn't have the international icons. It also adds the CDMA network options in "More Networks", though I'm not sure whether that's good or bad.
