Where to get MHL cable? - Nexus 7 (2013) Accessories

Hi guys,
Where to get MHL cable for Nexus 7 in Europe? Where I look, all cables for Samsung devices. Maybe these cables work with Nexus 7 too?

No, MHL will not work. You need a slimport adapter. I got mine off of amazon.com.

This thread has a large discussion about Slimport adapters, I got mine from amazon as well. The link I supplied a week ago in this thread says they are currently out of stock unfortunately but there are a lot of others out there.

check out this link at ebay.....may be you find the one you are looking for....

USB Mount Cable - doesn't work, can I modify?

Hi,
I bought a cheap USB OTG cable (£2), which was supposed to work on the Galaxy Nexus, but doesn't seem to.
I will probably buy another one anyway (any recommendations which one I should buy, and where), but I just wondered if there was anyway I could modify the one I have to work with a USB drive?
Cheers
Stewart
ebay seller iTrimming sells a working OTG host cable for GNex.

Sorry, should have said before. I have tried StickMount - no go! The stick doesn't even light up when connected.
And I would prefer a UK seller! Thanks though!!
Ordered one from iTrimming!
Hopefully should work ok!

EDIT: Apparently this one will NOT work for the s3 since it requires an 11 pin adapter.
This seems to be the most affordable and quality product that I could find, and has really good reviews on Amazon as well. At $11.99, you really can't go wrong here.

That adapter is not for the S3 as it is still has a 5 pin connection. The S3 requires an 11 pin adapter.

Is this confirmed for the sgs3? I thought it used a new, unique mhl adapter. Samsung has made an adapter for old adapters but that's like another $15 and then you need two dongle things

Thanks for letting me know -- I have this sitting in my shopping cart right now! :good: For some reason this pops-up when you search accessories for the S3 though.
Found this for $8.95 at Android Central Store.

I refuse to buy an adapter FOR an adapter on principle.
I'll just keep waiting for the $10 knockoff MHL adapter that's s3-compatible to pop up on Ebay

Show your OTG hardware.

Hi, a few days ago I sold my galaxy nexus and got my nexus 4, I never got to use in full the OTG option and probably never will since my nexus 4 lacks of OTG support. I spend a lot of time trying to find the simplest of adapters out there and finally got one that fitted my needs, I wanted something small that could pass as a single adapter.
Just upload your setup for everyone to see, and help decide whats best for them.
Here is my setup. Got the USB adapter on ebay and the sd card adapter on ebay also..
Could you give the links to those? I have the wired one for my n7 and that looks better. Thanks

Nope, for the nexus 4 you'll need to provide 5V to the port (you need a Y cable, search for OTG on the forums and you'll see). And you'll need a custom kernel for it.

MHL question of HTC One (M8)

I just wondering if the MHL adapters of Samsung can be applied to HTC one M8. Dose HTC M8 Support MHL functionality like Samsung Smart Phone? Anyone know about that? Any answer will be appreciated.

The M8 does support MHL, but Samsung uses their own proprietary nonstandard 11-pin version of MHL that is not compatible with standard 5-pin MHL devices from other manufacturers such as HTC and LG. There are, however, many MHL adapters that work on the M7 and would presumably work on the M8. This is the one I use: http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=108&cp_id=10833&cs_id=1083314&p_id=8675&format=2
I ´m with an unlocked M8 which is with the 2.23.118.3 firmware version, which is from T-Mobile Poland. I tried 2 generic MHL adapters and with the HTC Official AC M490 MHL Adapter but it just dosent work. When I connect everything up (no matter the line-up) the phone says it´s in MHL mode and that I can now see a video on the TV but the TV dosent receive any signal. I tried with different HDMI cables and on 2 different TV´s and 1 Projector but still nothing.
Can it be from the firmware version or something? On my old galaxy S3 and S4 it worked flawlessly, including simple mirroring. Can someone using this firmware please confirm that MHL is working?
Thanks in advance
Cheers

Would a OnePlus 3 USB Type-C OTG adapter work for OnePlus 2?

Been trying to get the damn OTG thing to work, but no luck. After a lot of searching around XDA forums, among other places, came to the realisation that only the official OnePlus MicroUSB to Type-C adapter supports OTG. Too bad they don't sell them anymore and I can't find any elsewhere online.
They do sell a newer version for the OP3 on their online store and I was wondering if that would work too. I ask because I've already got a thousand cables and adapters I've tried that didn't work, so I don't wanna drop any more cash on this.
Tried to contact OP support and they didn't really seem to understand what I wanted and just said it would work "because it's USB Type-C". Yeah, so were all the other damn cables I bought.
TL;DR: Would a OnePlus 3 USB Type-C OTG adapter work for OnePlus 2?
UPDATE: Original Xiaomi USB Type-C to Micro USB Adapter works.

Hi!
My bro had a 1+2, he bought an USB cable Type-C OTH from OnePlus store... he had tried to connect an USB several times, but it doesn't work :'(
OK awesome, so basically stay the f*** away from OP in the future is the lesson here.
Hi there, in my fourth purchase of OTG have purchased a fully compatabile one for my OP2. I am finally able to connect with out any issues. I have purchased it from Indian ebay for ₹68/- only. But works like a champ. The model or company name is MX in caps written on the OTG which is black in colour.
usb otg
When i bought my OnePlus 2 i purchased the microusb otg cable and the microusb to type c adapter and have no issues with it working. it could be a a possible compatibility issue or maybe the rom you're on doesn't support otg.
Hello. I'm from India too. I'm not finding any product branded as MX. I would really appreciate if you can share the link form where you bought it.
Thanks in advance
