Hey Guys....Ive seen a couple of people making their own custom docks for their Vibrants so decided to make own too...Let me know what you think!
I used 1 1/2in x 3 1/2in Aluminum tubing

Thanks...I could of made it nicer, I just did it during some free time at work today. But appreciate your commments thanks....maybe ill add some carbon fiber to make it more flashy

Thanks! I dont know if I would have time to make them to demand....but Ill try to make a couple just for fun...Ill keep you guys updated on that...as for price..I really wouldnt know...I figured whatever is cost of shipping plus a couple bucks.
Also only way I could make them is to set it for a naked vibrant since any cases would not aling with the micro usb due to size differences.
Edit 1: Also, Would you guys use your stock vibrant usb cable?
Edit 2: I could actually make simple docks without the charge port like this

Yea same here

I would buy one. If your original one uses the stock USB connection I'd prefer that. I use the invisible shield so naked fit is fine as well.

Ok guys, I have started to work on some of these, I might have some done next week but not sure yet. Im also gonna make a couple simple ones like the one from a couple posts up... Ill update when I have some ready, thanks

nice dock, unfortunately my stock cable SUCKS. After a short while of using it, the cable no longer maintains a proper connection. I have to hold the connector at a certain angle or else it will disconnect, and sometimes even switch back and forth between connected and disconnected really fast causing problems for programs trying to access the sd card. I had to go out and buy a blackberry cable.

Does anyone know of a folding stand like the one posted but you can fold flat? I found one months ago on Amazon but stupid me deleted it & cant find it anymore.

Nope, it's like the one I liked. You could fold where the base connects to the middle. It's made of metal also, but thanks though.
The phone can either sit horizontal or vertical. The reason why I'm looking for one is because once I get a case. I prefer not to take off the case when I have to plug in.

Looks too big to hold the SGSII in portrait orientation.
I just got this one, which is a battery charger that doubles as a stand. Cheap and it is an original Samsung accessory too!

The one that I got does not charge the phone because I wanted to be able to use it in the landscape orientation as well. There is a version that charges but you can only stand the phone in portrait orientation for obvious reasons. Pic below from Clove.

Well if you just want a basic stand, there is an Otterbox stand but Im not sure if they sell it retail. I got one at Showstoppers during MWC. Will try and find a link

I have a white one of these. JUNK! Can't support Note in portrait. Can't support Note in either portrait or landscape if in Otterbox.

Cool. I just tried with the paper clips I have at my desk, but they are way too small.
What is a "butterfly paperclip" ? Can you post a photo of one in its original form?

I have the icarpus which is pretty nice. Works great with the note.
And yea, that ebay stand was a complete dissapointment.

Totally agree. I have this one. Looks solid but not usable at all.

They hold Note very well.
Don't see reasons to spend much. The cheaper stands are quite satisfactory.

Anyone knows any Dock that can be used in Landscape ? I have looked Amazon Ebay and others and never found anything.
The only one i found was this one but it looks downright ugly and unfortunately i couldnt find it on any online EU shop

Does that dock put the phone in dock mode? I'm guessing not because the lock screen would have been rotated in the pictures of it in landscape mode.

No it does not put the phone in dock mode.

Try attaching an NFC tag to the dock with the tag programmed to automatically turn on dock mode and any other settings you want.

Seriously though, what are you trying to do with this dock?
I use the above item to sit my phone in landscape mode and plug it into my normal charger. I use it as a clock/alarm on my night stand and I use it while I'm watching videos. It does all I need.

I emailed make mobile about making a magnetic car dock for the n5. The one they made for the n4 looked super nice.

That looks awesome! I really hope it goes into production. I'd like to see a real review though, because I'm still concerned about how well those magnets would work in a car.
