[APP] KitKat Launcher+ - Nexus 4 Themes and Apps

I'd like to start by saying this isn't my app. I'm just sharing its existence with users here, since I know many of us want to use GEL badly, but it lacks some core features we all have grown to require before considering using a launcher as our daily driver.

Description
This is the new KitKat Launcher compiled straight from AOSP. KitKat Launcher+ focuses on clean and stable features that keep true to the stock KitKat experience. Great customization without having to deal with all the bloat commonly found in other launchers. Guaranteed to be fast and smooth.
Please Note: KitKat Launcher+ is available for devices with Android 4.1.2. and later. However, since AOSP is directed to Android 4.4 you will have the best experience on Android 4.4 and on Google devices (Nexus 4/5). Officially AOSP Launcher3 does not support landscape mode or tablets. Your milage will vary.
Feel free to e-mail me about bugs and crashes but only when you were able to reproduce the bug and/or have an error message. If the launcher crashes from the start it might not be compatible with your device!

Gonna try this one, I just update to 4.4.2 and my GEL is gone, but there are some things I didn't like about it anyways example, the icon size looks awful in nexus 4, tends to be slow sometimes, hope this offer the best of both words, gel transparency and faster access to Google now and better looking icons for my nexus 4 + some Google to turn off some features.
Reporting back after testing.

I can't add forum shortcuts (tapatalk pro)? Others with same problem? Thought it maybe was because I hadn't purchased the pro version, but no luck!

Why does it need to have permission to make phone calls?

[ROOT][APP][GMD Autohide Soft Keys - July 7th] Nexus-like on screen UI navigation

Hello friends - I do not recall having seen this in this forum as of yet.
Came across this in 'Android Apps and Games' yesterday. Although designed to hide the soft keys on Nexus and Xperia devices - I thought why the hell not, and sure enough - works perfectly on my ATT model One, with a Sense based ROM!
Currently running on ViperOne (current version as of posting is 1.2.1), and I've had no conflicts in any manner - simply works. I've used it for a day now, set so I swiping up from the HTC logo to activate the soft keys. Works pretty consistently for me ( opens correctly about 95% of the time - your mileage may vary!).
I was thinkin this app might be a fun compliment to any of the GE roms starting to build momentum...
Screenshots provided. A paid version allows a bit more customization, but it is free to use!

I normally use Nova, but the shock value of softkeys over Sense was too much fun...

If you like, and end up supporting, the following will cause a smile
quote from the XDA page, directly above the downloads:
'Even if you download from XDA you can still purchase PRO key and key will be managed by Play Store. This means that once unlocked, app will always be unlocked - no matter if it is installed from XDA or Play Store. You can switch between XDA/PlayStore version any time without loosing key.'
I was pretty psyched to see this. With our buttons now functioning rather well, it is (admittedly) less necessary than it could of been a few short months ago - nonetheless - with Nova, teaMSeven kernel, and this, I am trying hard to find a criticism...

but I have a request for a substratum theme that does this.
mainly for oxygen os settings app
it is just horrible and as OCD I can't live with it
I will buy the theme on play store if it is paid many other I guess will do so.
in this image there is a theme called dark material for OOS
I use the screenshot just to demonstrate what I want
-disable expanded actionbar
-change actionbar text font color and icon color to e3e3e3
-material blue accent(google)
-button switches change to aosp android

1st screenshot is dark material theme
2nd screenshot is appops application
3d and 4th are oos launcher and settings
Over 2 months now with open beta 11(I’m on 14 right now) OnePlus introduces new UI settings menu with redesign icons and new look and feel.
Also you are now having unlimited accent color customization.
Personal talking much prefer this one than AOSP look and feel setting menu.
At the end you are always having the ability just flash and install many AOSP custom rom that meets your needs if you prefer AOSP settings look and feel imo.

General XDA Article: Tasker developer teases new Android 13 features, including custom Quick Settings tiles

https://www.xda-developers.com/task...atures-including-custom-quick-settings-tiles/

Tasker developer teases new Android 13 features, including custom Quick Settings tilesAndroid 13 Developer Preview 1 came out a few days ago, but apps are already being updated to introduce some of the brand new features that were introduced. One such app is Tasker, an automation app aimed at power users. The developer has released a video showing off how Tasker now incorporates Material You icon theming, the photo picker API for choosing photos on-device in a more secure way, and the tiles API for adding custom tiles to the quick settings.
This build isn’t available on the Google Play Store yet as it’s not possible to submit Android 13-based apps just yet. Still, the developer shows how the app will work. Tasker’s dynamic icon will match other icons on the system that also support Material You theming, where the icon will change color and integrate with the rest of the system.

Also introduced was a “Pick Photos” action, which leverages the new Photo Picker API. Currently, if you want to access photos through an app directly, your entire photo library needs to be shared with that app. From there, the app lists all your photos, and you select one and choose it to send. However, with the Photo Picker API, photos are listed by the Android system, and only the photo you choose is shared with the app. This reduces the overall access that Tasker has to your photo library.
Finally, the third feature introduced was support for the quick settings placement API. Android 13’s new tile placement API allows an app to prompt the user with a button to add a custom quick tile to the quick settings. A user can now create and add a custom tile from within Tasker that can trigger an action that the user has defined.
If you want to check out Tasker, you can take a look at it on the Google Play Store below. These are exclusive features for Android 13 only and will require the user to be running the Android 13 Developer Preview.
