[Q] Htc one X worth it over the Moto G? - HTC One X

Hi! Im deciding between this two phones. Is it worth it to buy the htc over the moto g? i'm a little worried about the htc's battery life
couldn't find a thread with this question. thanks!

Moto G, One X has reached its end. If you are looking for better software support, you should definitely buy Moto G.

the reason you can't find a thread about it is because comparison threads are not allowed !!

Before one week I read from post on one moderator it is OK to do comparison on phones, but it is not OK to do comparison on the software or roms or anything not hardware related.

Yes
On the spec sheet you should choose a One X but if you want a more active community and better support you should really go with the Moto G as many developers will buy it cause of the cheap price.

[Q] No LG Vortex forum?

So, i'm pretty new here. i figured that this would be the best place to find stuff out about my phone, as i'm really into hacking my devices. however, thought this site has sections for almost every device, the LG Vortex is not a device i can find almost anywhere on this site. Is there a subforum i'm completely missing, or something i don't know? Or do i just have to ask for the section to be created?
Thanks for helping a noob out.

Rooted LG Vortex, 2.2.2
um, hello?
If I'm not mistaken, the LG Vortex is a variant of the LG Optimus One released under a different name for Verizon.
so then, its would be ok to discuss it in the optimums one forum(s)?
Bump?
(IDK if double posting is allowed here or not, sorry)

Google your phone. See if it has any other names. Look for those on here.

I know, and i have. I am now fairly certain the Vortex and the Optimums One are the same, however, I would like proof from someone a little more qualified than me. I just don't want to brick this thing. I can't replace it, and I depend on it for day-to-day life.

Haven't seen anything about the Vortex there. Its on of the reasons I'm hesitant.

Htc one x plus

Hello everybody I just stumbled in Google to many sites talking about a new improved HOX called HOX+.
It is supposed to have improved battery and a new featured called clear voice that is supposed to improve the quality of sound on phone calls.
Does anybody know anything about this?
Do you think its just rummors or not?
The reason I am asking is that I have allready placed an order for a HOX (I wanted the white one which the retailer had run out of) and I am expecting to get it in 3-4 days.
If the above regarding the HOX+ is true it might be worth to cancel the order and be patient for one more month to get the new edition.
Thanks in advance for your help
Well we might get the clear voice ported if we have some support on that...what does it spot??? Anyways a high end device is a high end device
Who knows when it will be out?
But by the time it is, there will be rumours of something else...
Well maybe bigger battery could be useful, but it is enough what hox has already. Not sure about clear voice, i am very satisfied and dont think i would need anything clearer

why do you think we need a new thread about this?
use the search function
HTC Endeavour C2 leak spills the specs on the One X successor
and yes you better be patient one x+ might be announced on the 19th of this month

Well according to some sites it will be out early Octomber.
I did some searching in the forum but I was looking under the HOX plus and variation names and found nothing.
Sorry I didnt think about searching with Endeavour C2 name.
Thanks for posting the link!
get HOX first and then HOX+ too when it release. fully supporting HTC LOL yup, i've seen that thread b4 too.
Please use the search and use existing threads instead of creating new ones.

[Q] The HTC one x is also known as s720e?

Hi, I want to buy an HTC One X but i´m a little confused about the models...
The HTC One x (not AT&T branded) is also known as s720e?
If the answer is no, which one is the s720e? Is it the international version? 32gb?
Thanks.
google knows most things and tells you much faster than a forum.
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=3381&c=htc_one_x_s720e_htc_endeavor
It appears to be another name for the international (tegra) one x. 32gb.

I had seen it before...but i´m still maintain my doubts...
What´s the difference between the s720e and the One x? I dont see no one...so I think that it´s the same device...
Yes. Of course they are the same device.
Most handsets have many names. The One X is the name given to the phone for release, but that's not what HTC would have referred to it as during manufacture etc.

The HTC One X, The HTC S720e, The HTC EndeavorU, is the exactly same device on a different name
Do note there are CPU Variants, which differentiates one One X to another..

I know that its the latest one but its not in my range. Very expensive.
HTC One X is in my range that's why i selected it . Just want your guys to review it.
I'm new in Android World :fingers-crossed:
i'll definitely buy the One X, very very supported and imo it is better than the One and it looks better the real good thing about the One is the 1080p display but the 720p is very very similar to it.....

Unlockable bootloader?

I'm going to explain my situation from the start so no one gets confused. I bought an LG G4 h818p not knowing it wouldn't have an unlockable bootloader so I'm basically stuck with LG's horrible horrible UI. But I know a guy who's looking to exchange his HTC one m9 for my G4. His model number is 0PJA100. So I'm doing this just for a raincheck but does this model have an unlockable bootloader? If so, is development good for it? Custom Development is one of the things that matter most to me when buying a phone. So I don't know why I bought this LG.
Every variant except the Verizon one , can be unlocked with htcdevs website.

Regarding development: it depends on what you're looking for. We have many talented developers and development teams in both original Android development and Android development (ie, AOSP & stock based). HTC is neither the most or least developer-friendly, so results can be mixed.
Things that are currently hang-ups for non-stock ROMs include IR blaster, double-tap to wake, encryption, and some sound issues. You can get an idea of how that all is going by browsing the top threads in those forums.

Thank you for your answer. One more question, do you think it would be unwise to move to the m9 after having owned a g4? Camera isn't a big deal to me but I'd still like a decent camera. Is the m9's at least that? I just don't want to rush into another thing that I might regret later on.

I'm afraid I can't help you much in comparing the two: I've never had a LG G4 and don't know much about its camera. That said, I'm very satisfied with the HTC M9 camera. I use it occasionally and have no complaints.
