gratz for this ROM, waiting to test it ^^

sorry about the delay for the link. it's currently building on their servers, then it needs adding to the site. shouldn't take long.
added vague build instructions for people who know how to build.
from the build I did earlier, everything is really smooth and stable (excluding browser. need to sort that out asap)

weekly is back up

remember, browser is iffy. working on a fix. use a 3rd party one

I can't download gapps because slimrom site tells me I need to login.

Thank you for your very good work, this rom is surprisingly fast!
But I've encountered two problems:
-In the lockscreen, the clock is slightly covered by the unlock area, especially when listening to music the key are only partially visible.
-the stock browser doesn't work (I know this is mentioned in the known bugs) but I saw PecanCM fixing this issue in the CyanogenMod11 4.4.0 thread, he also posted a fix for this!)
Keep working hard, you're great!

As for the browser fix, the way that it's done on cm is hacky, and won't be merged to slim. Working on another method to fix it.

Sorry forgot to say. Beta 1.9 is out. We skipped 1.7 because I did a slight derp with volume keys
Some updates to wifi, tethering, and home key. Follow the instructions on the first post
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

-Dashclock widget force closes
-Cannot turn off NFC
-Cannot turn off spell check on aosp keyboard
-gsm connection restarts every 2 hours
-lockscreen widgets are wrong
These are the problems that I found with latest build.

As far as I can tell, this CANNOT reliably be flashed over CM10, you must wipe data/cache for upgrades from CM10 to CM10.1
Reports of items not working:
* Wifi Tethering is not implemented yet
* 3G symbol does not show even though 3G is connected. (This works fine on mine)
* Camera Blur in preview (photos are clear though) (This also works fine for me)

My 3g symbol is fine, but I have yet to see the 4g or hspa symbol even though it is clearly flying on 4g speeds. Btw, even though they say not to, I updated using the cm updater over cm10 without wipe and had no issues. Just had to flash new gapps, flash superSU and reinstall various Google apps and had no issues at all. 10.1 is the bomb. Panacea for all the 10.0 ailments.
Cool

which gapps do we download for 10.1 ? 12 12 2012??
I've been using the rom for less than 12 hours and I'm in love. all the qualms I had about 10 are gone in 10.1. I'm having no issues. Though I can't seem to find photosphere in the camera, perhaps that's why the 10.1 camera never worked right in 10 so they removed it to get a stable camera in the build?
Wi-Fi hotspot does just hang at turning it on, I don't have a logcat, but I'm sure it'll be fixed soon. Oh! It stopped saying turning on, but I wasn't able to connect, even when manually entering the AP name and password. It does appear USB tethering works, we'll see when I hit submit reply!

[ROM][4.3] Android 4.3 for Xoom (Experimental)

I have made a pure Android 4.3 build for Xoom Wi-Fi and want to share it to the community. There are still many problems waiting to be fixed as it is in the early development stage. Currently it is only released for testing purpose so don't expect it to be a daily driver. Please backup your whole system before testing! Due to the growing size of the system I only included necessary files in the Google Apps package. All missing Google Apps should be available through the Play Store.

It's all working for me.
Only observations are that it says no service on the lock screen and there are occasional very minor graphical glitches when a menu screen appears.
Otherwise, thanks for all your efforts
From what I can gather, hardware wise everything is working.
I've tested: Camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI.
Other than some graphical glitches it works great

I have the same experience. Updating a 4.2.2 ROM appears to have no ill effects.
The only thing I would add is TB can't backup - it complains about insufficient free space, although there is plenty.
The main issue is lack of root and the fact that the SuperSU .zip fails to flash on the Xoom.
edit: the solution to SuperSU .zip fail is to replace the "update-binary" and can be found in the SuperSU XDA thread.
I have Root
Using BaNkS Core Gapps I have 47.7MB free System.
I simply flashed ROM,Gapps and amended SuperSU in TWRP and the update goes smoothly.

Currently it is a pure Android build so it contains no other features that aren't available in stock Android system. I will add them back in future builds.
Currently the most noticeable problem is the graphic glitches showing on launching apps, dialogs and menus. I heard from other developers that it is related to the system base we used to create our builds. I will start from another base to see if it fixes the problem. After solving the problem I will start merging changes from my 4.2 builds.

Understand completely. After using for a few hours, this is definitely a step forward from 4.2.x. Noticeable improvements in responsiveness (must be the extra butter) and overall performance. Given that this hardware is 2 and a half years old, it's doing pretty well.

From my personal experience, yes. I've been using the lag fix app over the past month and it has been as noticeable change in performance (not as much as 4.3 itself, but noticeable). The first TRIM lasted about 2 weeks, and when it felt slower I ran it again. Hoping that Google's baked in TRIM will produce similar results on a ongoing basis.

Any chance we can see some unofficial cm10.2 built off of this down the road?
Also, I have the same question as extremetempz. The galaxy players got a huge performance boost when the Deva there bumped the kernel up to Linux 3.0 from 2.6

[ROM][KK][BETA] ⍟ OptiKat ⍟ \\ Daily Driver \\ Performance Oriented \\ 23.04.2014
Hey guys!
Here back with another ROM. I present to you OptiKat. Should be stable. This ROM is aimed at performance and everyday use. Not much on the feature side but more on the usability and lightness side. Has probably even less files than SlimKat. This is a beta version to spot and fix the bugs. Build 2 will have the actual boosting mechanism inside. This ROM is based on Carbon ROM by coderzs and probably will have the same bugs. Please test and report bugs because I do not own the device nor can I test it. To understand the teams lack of equipment, this ROM was built inside and HTC Desire HD using ES file manager and text editor. At the current stage the team has neither got an everyday computer. We were barely able to borrow one to package the ROM and upload it. Any donations will be appreciated. We plan on purchasing a new PC next week. Until then I give you:

Ouch, this is so embarrassing... I posted on the wrong thread ? silly me.. The ROM that caused phone errors is the xperia-like that you've posted in a separate thread.
This ROM installation was smooth, no errors whatsoever so far. And, as stated in op- it has same graphical problems as in all other kk Roms: gmail shows black content, recenta list is garbled, etc. etc.
Assuming it shares the same problems as coderzs (and all other glacier kk roms, for that matter), then it is something like "90% functional" …for some the glitches are not important, for others not good enough as daily drivers.
I truly hope these things get resolved ?

Shoots video camera like normal, but when one looks captured video not normal. does not say that are full responsible for Internet service.
Runs great using it as my DD... SMOOTH & battery life seems amazing on this. Installed only the apps i use & using solo launcher
Two soft boots, one when first turn on LMT all working as should after boot, second when restored a game thru titanium all working as should after it booted up. Video works for me, 480 and 720 play back as should. Used PA's 0 day mini gapps. All is smooth flowing. Gmail is black. Occasional signal drop as has been happing since ice cream. Could use track pad wake, as the JB switches I have cause it to get stuck at boot animation. Increased DPI density to 200, 182 to small for my old eyes.
When maps is opened it has graphical glitches until screen is rotated around then all is good.

I make my own AOKP kangs and thought I would share. I have lots of merged commits and optimization in these builds for your enjoyment. Let me know if you have any issues.
Few things:
1) Most code is written by the members of team AOKP.
2) I am not a developer. I am an Android hobbyist.
3) I am not affiliated with team AOKP, therefore any issues you have with the ROM cannot be brought to team AOKP
.
(ISSUES THAT MAY ARISE)
No GPS lock, FIX = Flash TW ROM get a lock and then flash back to AOKP.
Phone wont mount when plugged into PC, FIX = Go to Settings/Storage, Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner, usb computer connection will pop up, click it. Choose Media Device and now it should show up on your PC.
Thw whole deal with ART over DALVIK. I need to say nothing more than this. Art is experiemental, I will not look into ART issue

[ROM][4.4.4] Baked KK-1.0 [Unofficial build]

Well I have seen no new BAKED (black android kang everyone desires) roms anywhere. Yet their github was updated last on july 6. While not extreamly current it is kitkat 4.4.4 source. So I got everything synced up and compiled and now ready to release this to the public.
What to expect. Well like I said source was last updated on july 6 and looks like that might be the end of baked. So my plans are to do one good build and let it ride without any update unless source updates.
This is a pure source build with nothing added only changed default dpi to 245 instead of 320. I will modify the zip later to include a few tweaks and a couple of apps.
So far everything I have tested has worked fine.
Install steps
1. Backup internal sdcard to pc (not required unless you have issues then I will ask that you do it)
2. Boot into recovery (philz recommend, NO TWRP!!)
3. Backup current rom to external sdcard
4. Factory reset/clean for new rom
5. Mounts and Storage .. select format data/media (internal sdcard)
6. Reboot recovery
7. Install Rom and reboot
8. Once booted go into settings.. about phone.. tap on build number till it enables developer options
9. In developer options enable advanced reboot
10. Reboot into recovery and install gapps (this will keep you from having to skip through the activation junk)
Optional steps
Install plasma's cm 2.53 kernel and synapse for best performance and battery life
Fix for vpn
Thanks goes to @deviouskind
Before you try setting up vpn setup a secure lockscreen (pin or pattern only)
If you dont vpn settings will fc and you can not set it up
Links
Rom-- Removed
slim gapps-- Removed ( I use full package so more gapps are black )
plasma kernel-- Removed (use the cm version)
MODERATOR EDIT - LINKS REMOVED UNTIL SOURCE CODE IS LINKED PER GPL REQUIREMENTS
Screen Shots
For Netflix users there is a new script in init.d that allows netflix to run without any issues. There is no need to use the xposed module for netflix so you can now use netflix with ART enabled. First two screen shots have a cm11 theme applied. Baked uses the new cm theme manager although there are not many themes out yet.

last one
Flashed and so far everything is running super smooth.
Finally, a blacked out ROM, thank you for this.
Looks great!

Yeah fresh off the press that rom is.
ro.build.date=Fri Aug 8 02:43:31 CDT 2014
That was time when build.prop was created during the build process. I installed right after and been running the heck out of it (using plasma) played gta III for 30 mins after I enabled ART. Netflix played a few episodes never a glitch or stutter.

Very nice build. Thanks! LTE, GPS, MMS, WiFi, camera all work. I had to use liquid smooth gapps because I was getting fcs with slim full build 7 gapps.
Will continue to use this weekend but won't have time to check out all the options.

http://www.drdevs.com/devs/teamliquid/Gapps/ build 6. There's white text on white background when you have to accept an install in the play store, but that's the only gapps issue I've found. No biggie
Yes I have seen that in a few places also. I have been using slim gapps 6-112 since I already had it downloaded.
