I have HTC 8s two days back. The phone was working very nicely and I was enjoying to use it. But last night, suddenly the word "restarting" flash on the screen and saying "goodbye" phone turned off. After a while, I pressed the power button to start it, the logo of HTC quietly brilliant was appeared and after it, two signs of shape like setting icon in the phone are appearing and phone is not booting itself. What is the problem with my phone, I don't know. Can anyone help me?

Since maybe 2 or 3 hours now, my brand new HTC One X (got it since thursday) got a weird prob.
I can change the volume up/down (I can hear the sounds), I know I have a message because the green light is flashing.. When I push the power button, the 3 buttons of the phone lights up (back, home, windows), etc.. But the screen remains black ! I tried some adb reboot, sometimes I can get back the screen, and it powers off again randomly.. I'm trying to fully charge the phone to see if there's a difference (I was about 15-20% battery left), but did anyone get that prob before ?
I have a stock rom, didn't have time yet to flash it.
My sensation died, I bought that one, and I have AGAIN some probs.. Starting to get angry with HTC :/
Problem found, seems it comes from the power plug, when I plug the cable and I move it a bit, the screen "comes back to life". Seems I'll have to send it back to HTC.. *sigh*

I updated my phone to jellybean yesterday i am with tmobile uk , the phone worked fine after this everything seemed to install ok.
until a hour ago, i got a phone call answered it, then hung up, i put my phone in my pocket, next time i took it out the phone was locked on the boot page the white screen with htc logo on, i tried to power it off and the the 3 buttons on the bottom of phone started to flash white for 10 seconds then phone swithed off. the phone wont turn back on, it wont charge, tried usb to computer no lights nothing. the phone was fully charged when it switched off. my phones a standard one never touched bootloader etc
i spoke to htc they think its software problem, they say when i downloaded jellybean i used 3g not wifi (my fault) this could have caused the problem as there could of been a drop in signal they tell me.
the problem i have they want 210 pound to fix and they say its not under warranty as i have had the screen replaced, but not by htc voiding the warranty.
Can anyone here give me some advice or help to fix my phone please.

Can you enter the bootloader by holding the power button and the volume - button together, keep them pressed until it enters the bootloader.

holded them together and nothing happens anything else i can try ?

When you plug it to a windows pc, can you see anything pop up in device management?

i just tried holding power button and up vol key for 30 secs, it vibrates and the white screen comes on with htc quietly brilliant on it, but its frozen on that.
tried it again and it booted up to my home screen then shutt down now its stuck on the white htc one screen with the beataudio logo at the bottom. the charger light now comes on when charging the phone any advice please.

Pressed the power button, but the screen won't wake up. Held the power button for 10 sec, phone restarted (I know this because of the vibration) but the screen remained dark. Called my cell, and it was ringing, but nothing on the screen. Now it's lying on my desk, with the notification LED blinkng (because I have missed calls).
Even the touch is working, because I tried swiping in the right area to answer a call and it worked, even though I couldn't see jack.
I held the Vol Up while restarting the phone, it went to bootloader (I'm guessing), but the screen was dark.
Is there any way I can save my cell

hey guys
today i gained freedom by unlocking my M8s bootloader. i then afterwards installed the h/k mod. now my phone has a blackscreen. i can reboot it by holding down power and vol up button but well it just reboots and repeats. it shows the htc logo and at the time where normally the htc one logo and the sound would come, i have a black screen (the screen is turned on tho, it just shows black)
im really sorry for posting this, i just found a way to fix it myself. sorry for wasting your time!
Hey all,
I just helped a friend change the screen of his Desire 816. The old screen was badly damaged and we got a LCD and digitizer combo and I changed it successfully, or so I thought. When its off and I connect it to its charger, It lights up and displays the HTC logo, followed by the battery charging animation. All looks OK.
Then I press the power button. The screen goes off, phone vibrates and switches on BUT THE SCREEN STAYS OFF. I can tell the phone boots because the HTC boot sound plays and the phone vibrates a little after from some notification or other and my PC recognises the phone normally. But I can't use the screen at all. I have to do a battery pull to switch off the phone or wait till the battery runs out. And when I connect the charger again while its off.... HTC logo...
I'm so frustrated right now. My friend isn't saying anything but he's not happy. I'm hoping there's something I forgot to do or something. Can anyone help me, please?
