Did Flashify flash it successfully? How about doing the TWRP flash first? It's in the forums too. That way you can try through ADB and then send it to recovery through there.. And then flash the CWM.zip through the TWRP. I dunno anything about Flashify sadly. But it's a fix none the less.

Flash this image using flashify.

To update TWRP, use TWRP Recovery to flash "Flashable Zip v2.6.3.2" found in the following thread.

[Q] Installing new recovery on the E975: error -1

So I tried to install CWM on my E975. It's currently on TWRP 2.4.3.0. Downloaded CWM, renamed it to cwm.img and moved it to the root of my phone storage.
I entered the following commands in terminal:
su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/cwm.img
It gave me:
failed with error: -1
The recovery wasn't flashed and I am still on TWRP 2.4.3.0. Can anyone can shed some light onto this? Thanks!

You can use rom manager and flash from there, (you'll have to pay for touch version). Possible to flash via rom toolbox pro. Also, Freegee let's you install cwmr now!
Why the terminal command didn't work? I I have no idea.

well i took that file from freegee folder, maybe you must flash this file first
Download CWM OR TWRP without any hassle
Just download freegee(root) from Google play store and once installed and opened ....let it download the necessary....then just click on cwm or twrp as per ur wish ......u might then feel as if the app has frozen....but it is the process of downloading...... And once finished it will show flash successful ....
Works with 4.4.2?
I used the FreeGee app on stock 4.4.2 V20c earlier, but it bricked my device. Why is that? How do I install a recovery on 4.4.2?

I would like to install a CWM touch variant, is there a way to get it done with KK stock rom?
I know it needs to be "lokified", but I have no clue how to do this.
Is there any tutorial to do this?

Philz touch cwm is a good one, you can find here on xda, or via Google search. However, my personal experience with cwm touch variant on e980 is that it causes the recovery bootloop (where you just keeps on going back to the recovery screen). Version 6.0.47 is stable , and will not cause the boot loop say when you try to open the recovery by using the up volume + power buttons. This seem to be the issue too with the cwm provided by cm update in the developer's option. Read the postings in the Philz's thread if you want to know more about the recovery loop and the touch cwm.
I get wrong date and time whene i make a backup. I have a E986. How can i fix this?

Flash another cwm. For e.g. Cwm touch 6.x..
In cwm:
Install zip
Install via sideload or something like that..

You can install custom recovery through your stock rom, just rename your recovery to update.zip and place it in root of internal storage or external.now go to updater app and select update.

I think twrp officially supports Redmi 1s so go ahead and install Twrp manager from Google play and flash the latest build for your device. It will surely work...

Please help me, regarding Android System Recovery

Please help me, regarding Android System Recovery
I actually thought I was booted into CWM Recovery, but I ended up booting into Android System Recovery. And I happen to wipe partition and factory reset already.
Now there is no rom to boot, and I am unable to flash custom rom due to the signature verification errors.
Is there anyway for me to recover from this?
Would appreciate your help.
Have you tried using Odin via download mode?

Yes that's what I did, but I seem to be not able to get to CWM Recovery and it always goes to Android System Recovery.
Anyway I recovered my system by flashing a stock rom so that I can restart.
How can I install CWM Recovery properly and make the device boot to CWM?

This is normal behaviour. After you restore using Odin, recovery would always be Android System Recovery. You need to flash a CWM recovery via temporary CWM first, to get CWM recovery.
Lookup for temporary CWM here in forum. And you'll find the thread that I mean.

I am not able to download the zip file, as it needs to download from an installer and run the installer from there. I ran through the whole step but did not end up with the update.zip.
Are there other ways for me to get the zip file, preferably through a direct download or torrent website?

Thanks.... I do not need the file already.
The new CM11 rom by Chrono has been installed and running already. However, I am not able to connect via Wifi to my router.
What could be the issue?
So far I have tried:
ace2nutzer: cm-11-20150714-UNOFFICIAL-codina.zip
ChronoMonochrome: cm-11-20150730-UNOFFICIAL-codina-universal.zip
Both the wifi are not working. I was not able to connect to my D-Link 868L router.
