The latter lists all apps you've ever installed in case you want to download them again or travel down the memory lane. This is quite handy, and I've seen this list before in the Play Store on the web, so it's great to get it here in the mobile app.
----The All tab contains a handy dropdown with all your accounts (if you added more than one) and lets you switch between them very easily (as opposed to clicking Menu, etc).
----A few of the stock apps that apparently never got linked to the Play Store before got identified and picked up this time, and updates.

Using this Mod:
- You cannot download/buy apps that are not available in your country. You can only view them in Google Play Store.
- You cannot download Paid apps for free.
NB: Google has control on the server side, therefore it is NOT possible to make a version that allows you to buy/download apps that are not available in your country.
Mod version features:
- Unlimited access to apps in Google Play Store
- Removed countries restriction in Google Play Store
- Fixed the issue which your device is not compatible with this item in Google Play Store
You can only replace the current market apk for the original non-modded version.
You will require ROOT if you want to install the Modded version!
Installation Guide
For non-modded version:
1) Download the apk from the links
2) Put the apk on the phone ,don't use adb install *.apk in won't work it will say it already exists
3) Open the apk from the phone using a File explorer (e.g. ES File Explorer/Root explorer)
4) it will ask you if you want to replace the current market,press yes.
5) Wait for install and voila you have the new market
NOTE:this method replaces the old market.

For Modded version:
1) ROOT is REQUIRED! If you haven't rooted you phone then shoot yourself already!
2) You will need to Download 'Root Explorer' and mount as 'R/W' or any file browser that can access /root folder if you don't already have it installed.
3) Go to '/system/app/' and backup the 'Vending.apk' (Gingerbread) or 'Phonesky.apk' (ICS) to your SD Card (leave the Vending.odex untouched!).
4) Check if you have either 'Vending.apk' or 'Phonesky.apk' and delete it.
5) Now, Move the modded apk that you have downloaded to '/system/app/' and rename it the same as your backup version.
6) Change the Permission to 'rw-r--r--'
7) NOW, Reboot your phone!
8) Finito!

Troubleshoot:
If you have download problem after Installing new market do this
" Connect your phone to your computer,
set in usb mass storage mode. Look for
a hidden folder called ".android_ secure"
and then delete the file
"smdl2tmp1 .asec". Unmount and you
should be good to go."

Thanks, works for me on CM9. I unistalled the old market with titanium backup after a nandroid backup and placed vending.apk it in /system/apps, reboot and finished

Not working on LPS - parse error

@protetul: don't try to install it, download the version that xinfinityoO posted and place it in /system/app, change the permissions and reboot, it should work. I use the latest nightly of CM9 and it works great.

Hi I am unable to download the attachement in your post when i try to download it.. its too small and has a problem parsing the package.

Try to download the version in post #2 and look at the post before yours.

Not working on CM7 on my Galaxy S2.
Deleted the system/app/ and tried installing, no go.
Deleted the data/app/ one and tried installing, still no go.
Copied it into data/app/ also still no go.
And yes, I rebooted every time I made any changes such as deleting, etc.

Cleared cache and force disable old Google Play apk... Then try to install the MOD version and says "Application not installed
An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed. "

Try this:
1) Be sure, your phone is rooted properly
2) Download Root Explorer if you don't have it installed
3)Go to /system/app/ and delete the Vending.apk (Phonesky.apk for ICS 4.x.x) (leave the Vending.odex untouched!). Make sure you have an backup your old Vending.apk (Phonesky.apk for ICS 4.x.x) to your SDCard as well.
4) Install the downloaded Vending.apk (rename it to Phonesky.apk if you have ICS 4.x.x)
5) Reboot your phone
6) Start Play Store and grant the access. You'll be asked to do so
7) Enjoy!

[Q] Removing Apps from Gapps?

I tried googling this but googling anything "gapps" turns into an "apps" nightmare search. hahah
Anyways, does anyone know how to edit a Google Gapps file to remove some of the apps?
Everytime I flash a new CM based ROM, I have to reflash Gapps. Which means I have to go back into Titanium Manager and re-remove the google apps that I won't be using. It gets tiring having to do this all the time.
It would be a lot easier if I could just flash the Gapps that I need.
Hmm, maybe I should just skip flashing gapps and install only the apks I need? Well, some ROM's (like Slim) require a modified google apps. So I'd rather just remove what I don't like.

Well you can open the zip file and remove the apk's from the /system/ folder.

As enzyme said, all you have to do is open up the zip, delete what you don't want from /system/app, then zip it right back up and you have your own "custom" flashable gapps zip. Just have to remember to do that same patch each time a new gapps update is released. I personally remove GMail, calandar, contacts, and talk from my old phone that I let the kid use for games, so they don't screw it up.
And, FWIW, here's how those system apk filenames map to application names, so you know what's safe to delete:

WOW, I have been looking for this fix for along time, it's on now, I got tired of deleting the damn things to, did not know this was possible. I agree, thanks guys, very useful information, big thanks to both.

So am I to understand, just remove the line item completely?

Well, it's not working for me just yet (on justinbeam inverted GAPPS). But I might have screwed something up. I used TWRP to flash the new gapps that I had removed some APK's from and re-zipped. It just said "FAILED to install".
I'll try a couple more times.

I can installed the unedited Justinbeam inverted gapps but not the one that I removed the email/talk apk's from. That one fails.
I'll probably try again sometime with the normal CM GAPPS and CWM.

Ya me too. I tried adding an apk and it fails. I was hoping to cut out a step I do when updating my ROM.

Why not use the aroma JusTunBean gapps? Let's you select which apps to install during flash. Also has options for inverted or standard.

I've flashed several ROM's and get flakey results with JusTunBean too often, to really consider it to be reliable. I only use the standard 4.1 Gapps now.
The method I've ended up going with is to flash gapps.
Then I go into Titanium Backup and freeze all the Gapps apps (and other ROM related apps) that I don't use.
Then everytime I flash an updated ROM and flash Gapps again, Titanium remembers to freeze those apps. So I only have to do it that first time only.

What are system apps:
These are pre-installed apps that you can not actually delete. Many system apps are unnecessary, reduce the battery life and speed of mobile phones and also consume additional RAM.
What is needed:
Root privileges for the LG Optimus 4X HD
Super Manager or ROOT Explorer
How do you delete the apps:
Can in Super Manager [before the Super Manager Settings Root hook] you comfortably APK Manager to uninstall the apps. It is automatically created at the int SD card to backup the uninstalled apps. Another option is to use a ROOT Explorer [eg ES File Explorer ]. To do so earlier in the ES File Explorer Settings / ROOT settings - "Include File System"> "Root Explorer" and can be activated. Navigated with the ES File Explorer on the star [Favorites] to phone / system / app. It is the most useful apps including [ the associated. ODEX file] not easy to delete, but to move to SD card into a backup folder. It is also possible Apps 'freeze', for example, Titanium Backup Pro or Super Manager Donation.

After installing your favorite ROM, follow the steps below to install YourZgapps...
1) Copy YourZgapps zip to sdcard
2) Boot into recovery
3) Wipe cache/dalvik
4) Flash YourZgapps zip from sdcard*
5) Wipe cache/dalvik
6) Reboot system and enjoy!
? How to add back removed APKs:
1) Download it from downloads folder
2) Copy it to /system/app/
3) Check if permissions are rw- r- r- (if not, set them like that)
4) Reboot​

Probably not, IDK.
I needed to test something with 7.1.2 so I grabbed a few things and uploaded 'em for the heck of it.

Could probably bounce the version numbers off what's currently on apk mirror. Quite a few of the versions were dated from December and January so I don't think they are specific to 7.1.2

I'm not that motived.
