In the developer options, you can check Notification Flash. Its a good alternate. It will light up the flash when you get calls and emails. I dont know about texts.

Im going to get it I'm just worried it comes with knox :/

Not at all. No need to install anything. Do this:
1. Navigate to SETTINGS.
2. Goto MORE.
3. Goto About Phone.
4. You will see a build number, click it (nothing will happen). Keep clicking it 7+ times it will inform you that developers options are activated.
You will find the developer options in the settings.

It seems to only work with text messages? How to make it work with other app notifications?

It dint work with the text notifications on my end. Only emails and phone calls. Have no clue if you can configure apps to use this. I think basic Samsung apps only support it mate.

bln does not work with notifications which are turning on the display. So for SMS just use an app like GoSMS where you can configure the display to stay off, like in whatsapp.

If i try to install an apk from my external sdcard, it doesn't make me continue, the confirmation button doesn't work, only the cancel button.

Thanks

If you have some app like "filter your screen" enabled, disable it and you'll be able to install apk.

Vibe P1 Custom ROM LED not working

I flashed the official Resurrection Remix [5.8.2] ROM yesterday, and while it works like a charm I noticed my notification LED doesnt work. The LED itself works when charging or on low battery, but doesnt react to notifications at all.
I did try a guide that apparently fixes it by using light flow, however that guide doesnt work for me.
Also, the notification LED control section in the settings app only has the battery control option, not the notification control.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Alright so I reflashed the ROM and tried the method again. Everything is fine until I need to change the text document. There is no way for me to change any settings in the text since they dont even appear.
For example, in notepad++ on my PC I search for led_flash_setting, yet it doesnt even exist. Which means I cant use the method.

I have tried a few, but I am looking for an LED app that works, no FC, no always on, an app that works 100% like it should, any advice on which to use?

Thank you for your reply, can you please post a link to the app? I found several "quicksettings" apps.
Thanks!

Hey man,
I just tried using the app you showed, but I can't activate the led.
Even if I activate the tile, it is still grayed out and can't be activated, even after granting root access.
The other tiles I tried didn't have that problem.
Could you give an explanation how you managed to activate it?

Updater not showing in settings

Using star2lte: lineage-17.1-20210121-nightly-star2lte.
It's only a minor problem because I can always do adb sideload but I'm sure is was there at one time. I can see the updater in the apps but I can't see any way of running it, also new updates are not announced.
Is there any way of getting the updater to run again?

Nice. I can reproduce this picture with disabling updater app.
Ok, that's interesting. How did you disable it, or more appropriately how to you re-enable it? It's possible I may have disabled it by accident.
I've just checked under Apps, and it's is enabled, weird.
Thanks.

Settings apps all threedotmenu system
Just tried that. For good measure I also stopped the app, cleared cache and data and then enabled the app. After that I restarted the phone. And it's still missing in settings!

Updater keeps stopping, I guess that's the reason it doesn't show. The question is: why does it keep stopping?

Question Advanced Power Menu Option

Just got my 11 and enabled Developer Options. I don’t see a toggle for Advance Power Options. Is there an option to enable this setting on the phone?
Thanks!

as far as I know, it no longer exists (is also no longer available on my op 9p with oos 13)
Assuming you can or want to root, the best option that works on Android 13 is likely: https://github.com/KieronQuinn/ClassicPowerMenu

Are you sure it doesn't work in Accessibility Service mode? On my 8 pro it works as long as I don't use it in Xposed mode.

You can't access accessibility mode originally. If you allow to have all access it allows accessibility but still nothing appears or changes
They changed layout of system apps from op10 up. I will try without Xposed module activated

Work without Xposed. Thanks for letting me know. Only issue is it flashes stock one prior to opening classic power menu.
