If it's capacitive, then yes you can.

I think he is asking if one of the newer active styluses for the ipad will work. Like the Adonit Script or Cregle Ink. I would like to know this as well. It seems hit or miss with their use on Android devices.

Anybody tried to use those capacitive stylus on the Tab Pro 8.4?

I have tried the Wacom Bamboo Solo, it works just fine.

I tried using the pen from my Note 3 and it didn't work.

Stylus from Note is for Wacom screens, TabPro doesn't have it. As it was already mentioned, capacitive ones will work.

We need an alternative stylus pen thread!

I'm pretty sure once we're all spoiled by stylus, we'll be desiring bigger styluses that will work with our phone. So anybody tested alternative Wacom styluses on the phone yet? So far the one that doesn't work according to another forum I read:
Works
Fujitsu T4210 tablet stylus Link
HP TM2 tablet stylus
Motion Computing M1400
OQO 02 stylus
Toshiba m200 stylus
Does not work
Wacom Bamboo
Intuos 2 Link
Cintiq Link
Intuos 3
Anyone here lives next to a Fujitsu or Wacom store able to test the rest for us?
Does work:
Motion Computing M1400
Which works with the Fujitsu ST5112, so by extension, the stylus for ST5112 should also work.
Does work:
1. OQO 02 stylus
2. Toshiba m200 stylus
The erazer on the other end and the buttons work as well!
I wonder which of these are the cheapest?
No one else tried other stylus?
pago sketch works good but it wont have any button....
My HP Compact TC1100 tablet's stylus works, along with the button. At some point I'll try out the eraser end too but I currently don't have that stylus with me.
Any stylus made for Windows tablet pcs--wacom stylus for those devices will work.

I'll test my lenovo x220 pen when it arrives. It will probably work, it's a wacom penabled.

Apparently there will be a holder by Samsung for/with the original S pen:

Original Samsung ET-S110E Stylus Pen for Galaxy Note 5.3" + spare stylus (ET-S100E) included.

Aww man, I love the Intuos pens. I guess I don't even have to bother trying them now...
Can anyone recommend a good pen/stylus combo?
Cheers.
I am using a Fujitsu T2020 pen on the Note. It works perfectly! Size is right for me at least, tip is responsive on the Note, button on the pen works as it should, AND the eraser-round-tip on the other end works, without having to choose the eraser icon manually. Just flip the pen, the eraser appears.
My T2010 is a Wacom Penabled.

Is there a compatible S-Pen for the G-Tab 10.1?

I'm wondering if there is a fully compatible S-Pen for our P7500? If there is; could you recommend one, and share your experience with it?
Thanks in advance!
S-pen no
capacitive stylus yes
I have a styluys and it works but the tablet also detects your wrist on the screen and it doesn't work too well
There's something with Galaxy Note's screen also so you can't make use of the S Pen and that is why they are pushing Note 10.1 also....
The S-Pen uses a wacom digitizer for higher accuracy and to detect pressure. The hardware to use an s-pen is simply not there. So no there is not a comparable pen though like the others have said you could use a capacitive stylus.
I also searched 4 a while but the missing Hardware is the problem. i bought the normal Samsung stylus. it hasnt the precision of a d-pen but its okay..
Gesendet von meinem Desire HD mit Tapatalk
Yeah hardware won't allow for that. But I just upped this thread you might find it helpful.

I just got a Jot Pro (http://adonit.net/product/jot-pro/) this morning. I'm loving it. It's accurate and looks nice too. You should look at it. It's $30, but hey, you know what they say, you get what you pay for. (It also has lifetime warranty, so thats good.)

Galaxy 10.1 Note S-Pen

Is anyone else interested in getting the 10.1 Note S-Pen for their Note?
Definitely. I do a fair bit of sketching and drawing on my note so a better bigger pen would be awesome

Why not just get the S-Pen (larger) adapter? It comes with a extra 5.3 Note Stylus, so at least if you loose the one in your phone you will have a spare.

Are you sure the 10.1 S Pen eraser will work on our 5.3 note? If so I will be investing in one of them for sure.

I use a Wacom pen with mine and the eraser works with it so I am also pretty sure that it will work with the 5.3
Now that we will have a choice between the pen holder or the 10.1 pen, i would definitely go for the 10.1 pen, reasons being:
1. Eraser
2. Thinner than the holder
3. The button on the new pen is higher up making it less likely for you to accidentally press it in use.
Found this for my white Note:
Wacom up710e
http://www.Newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=23-100-007
What material is the eraser made of?
Rubber....you have to rub for about an hour and nothing happens.....oh wait I was using an actual pencil just kidding. The "rubber" end is normally just plastic but just sends a different signal to the screen I believe

Yeah, this works perfectly, as does any stylus from the Lenovo x-series convertible tablets (NOT the one from the Thinkpad slate tablet, which is N-trig and not Wacom).

[Q] Can the S-Pen be used on other touch screens?

Apologies if this has been asked before, but can someone reliably inform me if the S-Pen can be used on other touchscreens not officially supporting the S-Pen?

The GN2 S Pen will work on Galaxy Tab devices with S Pen, but you couldn't for example, use it with a HTC or iPhone.
The S Pen is a Wacom device, so needs the handset to have a Wacom screen & drivers to work.
That's a very basic explanation, but you should get the idea.

To add to this, the technology behind the spen is largely driven by the software side of things so for it to work you need both the compatible software and hardware.
It doesn't operate the same as a capactive stylus, which is a good thing as it is how we can get such percision from the pen.
thanks guys for the quick and informative responses, understand now

In that case it must have a Wacom stylus and digitizer

Does that mean the S-Pen will work with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3100??
I have tried to get a definitive answer, but nothing so far??
No because it is a potentiometer stylus. That means it converts the movement of the pen into electrical signals. That requires a power source which it doesn't have. The digitizer create a magnetic field which powers the spen.
So other phone don't have it and you can't use spen with them. You can use a conductive stylus which just stimulates your fingers
this is XXXDDDAAA
Can the note 3 pen be used with the s7 edge? If so, what software is needed? I really miss being able to use it since my note 7 was recalled.
So will the s pen purchased separately work with the galaxy a tab 10.1 WUXGA

Tab S4 S-Pen with S3

Hello!
Did someone checked compatibility and function?
Bump. Would like to know this as well
Seems to work..
the spen's and tablets are cross-compatible with the notable exception of bluetooth...
