Yes, but these are not really good solutions, sound is far more better and louder in custom roms.
EDIT: I made some changes in the method, and it works well.

The touch driver is different , there is some differencies in camera . The audio is slightly different .
Once I will be able to compile a working touch driver loadable with insmod we will have kitkat.

Not the KitKat one i was referring to 4.2.2 version. I installed p6 green kernel which is a CM compatible kernel in that touch is not working. is it possible to make a similar one for our HAM

Green Lens Camera Wont work on these builds
2-For Regular Defy(Do not work on Defy plus)
These are Froyo/CM7 kernel Builds
These are found under /CM9-Nightly-Defy/ folder of the servers which we have.
To install these follow the TuT to install CM9 ICS FOR Defy stated above
3-Well there is no 3rd build(There is The MileStone2 Port by Walter79,But now that we have camera on our builds that one is not usefull...)

I know that camera is far away from being fixed, but you could help eliminating other bugs from system...we could have a very stable system and when someone have an idea about fixing camera, we fix that too

It's known bug, it doesn't work at all.
You ought to disable PIN check if you want use ICS on defy at the momet.
But you cannot disable it on ICS

billchen1977 have done a better job. You can check his post. You should use his ROM for the moment
I just saw that he releases some part of the code (patches to apply). So I will take a view to find what was wrong with mine.
I will continue to work on my ROM to add some features that I need and maybe some others (for example by removing security layer on Exchange, Recovery support, Superuser etc).

Yes the lightbar works fine on my ROM. I continue my work to fix gsm internet. I have a lot of hope to fix that but I just need more time .
Camera and FMradio fixed (reworks done based on @billchen1977 source).
I'm still waiting to fix gsm internet to publish this new build. (and I need to review few patches that introduce a regression on menu display. I have some shadow artifact around popup menu. Not a big problem to revert back)

Yes I have a kernel on it but my build contains the support of FOTAkernel partition to load the recovery that you want
You can flash TWRP or CWM and the version that you want without any dependency with the ROM developer choice.
the FOTAkernel is located on /dev/block/mmcblk0p11. So flash what you want on it. (dd if=/sdcard/fotakernel.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p11)
Example with TWRP 2.8.0.1 : http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/144 (version 2.8.1.0 doesn't work).
You can flash a kernel with Xperia S + CWM support too.

GSM internet fixed with b03.
Release of the b03.
GSM internet fixed (this was a kernel issue with dhcp issue fixed by @billchen1977)
FMradio is now working (I missed a patch and I switched to FM_TUNER. this is more clean)
Video recording and media playback fixed (thanks to @billchen1977)
popup menu with shadow issue fixed
There should have some other issues but at this time that seems usable. I will run on it longer tomorrow.

remove of the security layer for Exchange Email application (no pin, erase etc)
update display code just to keep the same AOSP structure
some status bar improvement if possible

INSTRUCTIONS
-Unlock your Device Bootloader + Install TWRP(latest) by following the procedure from this post.

-Download the ROM and GAPPS or OPENGAPPS and put them inside your Internal Memory.
-Now go to Recovery Mode. [See FAQ in the above post link]
-When inside Recovery, navigate to Wipe->Advanced Wipe and tick/select the following:

YES! it should be flashed clean .
-no black screen/hang after call .
-auto brightness issue is still there ( just dont use it until its fixed)
-external sd works .
- no lag in audio .
but problem with audio and video synchronization is still there (just use some another player like mx player)
-no lag/hangs/freeze's in the UI . its pretty smooth.
-deep sleep is working.
read change log mentioned above in the post.
can the bootloader unlock method solve the "no camera" issue ?

i dont think that no camera issue is related to bootloader!
btw camera works in this rom............ the stock camera is replaced with ASUS PIXEL MASTER CAMERA.
are all the sensors working? you can use CPUZ to test it

Since this is based on rr beta7 by @quanganh2627 this rom should also carry that bluetooth bug, right?
A suggestion, since the latest kernel from x anwar seems to be more effective (lower limit for cpu and other fixes) that kernel should be included.
One more thing, no one declares how much free space is left in the system partition of their rom in the op, so it would be great if you mention the available free space after all the clean up you have done on this port.

yes it is based on rr v7 so it will also has same bugs until the developer fixes it !
i have tested few thing only till now and will test rest of the thing now like bluetooth ,sensors
btw this rom is goin good ! no lags /freezes or hangs
the only bugs that i came across is the ambient display bug , adaptive brightness bug with the brightess slider (lower the slider makes the screen go off and had to restart manually to fix it) , and the audio/video synchronization issue is in the stock player so .... i just used the mx player and it is working good!
and ya! i will post the screenshot of the free space too along with the benchmark too !

@devilboynv thanks for your effort in this regard. Just to be clear, by "free space in system" i meant the system partition where the os files and apks of rom are stored. In Asus zenfone5 the system partition is limited to around 1.4gb (if my memory serves me right), of which around 20mb is initially left free in the original quanganh2627 release of rr beta7. I had to manually uninstall some unnecessary Asus apps to gain more free space in system partition. If you can kindly check with a decent file explorer (with root capabilities) how much space is left in that partition and post that info in the OP (no screenshot needed), it would be grand. cheers mate.

Already using it. To be honest i anyways use it, viper. But viper used to give a real boost in volume with cm12.1( real difference in ringtone etc.) But now with rr, i barely notice any difference
Also i should mention, while installing viper drivers, it never lets me choose the driver options in zenfone5. Is this an issue with the zenfone5 hardware?

you will get drivers options with only NEON(arm) cpu's
and not in x86 intel cpu's
can you add 7.2 new build screenshots?
Cpuz screenshots show accelerometer is alive? So, screen rotation works?

I used the rooting tool : KingRoot.
That fixed it.
But the system setting still doesnt work.
Also I dont like the camera app.
The CM Snap app is better
the setting worked fine here and still does so im thinking thats something on your end, as for camera i cant comment as ive used cm for about 5 mins and that will be all i ever use it for, cm is far too bloated in my personal opinion and actually seems to perform slower than touchwiz for me, and what rom people choose to use is always personal preference in my opinion

Google play refuses to install apps with error: 963 and 924.
I tried costum gApps but still nothingBut it works on other ROMs.

Root make over Odin , add a file attached to pda or ap and restart the unit . in my work .
Root work fine you need just turn root on in dewelopers

already planning to fix that - didnt mean to leave the gapps in in the first place just forgot to remove them after testing myself
Please remove the gapps so everyone can choose the gapps fron opengapps oder somewhere else. Althoug Please use another launcher so not the Google now launcher for example trebuchet from cyanogenmod. The features are the best but i cant use it daily because gapps:cyclops:

try to be polite, as that comes across as quite nasty in some ways(though i understand english may not be your natural language so quite possibly is not your fault), ill be fixing that issue once i get my build system back up and running which it is not currently

Its a kernel based feature, Yes we do have it. Check out my git.
Maybe we might be missing some Application to support it, but my kernel adds support for it.
Took the commit from nexus 7 (2012).

For the Hardware navigation keys, I`ll add a new post to fix them.
They stopped working for me too, but i can`t seem to remember how i fixed it.

lmfao. Google at first. Smartdimmer is a HARDWARE thing. We don't have this hardware function. Kernel just contains the driver for communicating with a smartdimmer. You can enable anything you want, but it will not work because of lack of the hw part.

Cuz we need android HAL which will be compatible with nvidia's HAL and our cameras inside kernel. Or we need to write V4L2 kernel drivers for our cameras.
