Bottom buttons stops working.

Hi.
I have strange problem. It starts few weeks ago with no purpose..
Sometimes my bottom buttons doesn't work. It happneds for example, when I'm tying to scroll email with Dpad. Sometimes when i try to scroll thru files in total commander. After scrolling few lines, they just stop working. Upper buttons works. Screen works.
What I did untill now with no results:
- flashed official rom thru PC
- flashed AT&T Official
- disassembling and cleaning lower buttons.
It looks like software problem, but it happends on clean official roms without any 3-rd apps..
Some suggestions?

do a search for white screen in titles...ur problem may be the dpad connector comes loose and the white screen thread talks about how to fix it

try a new rom my wifes phone did the same thing with at&t official wm6 rom I have since flashed almost every rom from here and never had a problem hope this helps

I had this problem with a Hermes and I couldn't fix it no matter what I did. And I tried everything.
It seems it's some weird hardware problem. Soon you'll have problems with the softkeys too.
If anyone fixed this (except flashing a new rom, because that doesn't work), it would be an interesting thing to know.

Well, when it happends, all lower buttons stops working. gren, red phone, softkeys etc.
I just plug and unplug connector few times and for now it;s ok.
I will report if there will be some changes.
Maybe it's time for some changes I think Kaiser's will be cheaper in a moment

mine has been doing that for months (lucky my hermes is my backup device). its really strange but then again expected after ive dropped it so many times as well as throw it at my colleagues when they piss me off.
1) dpad stops responding after some time.
2) call/end buttons stop responding
3) softkeys dont work after this
4) 90% white screen - i can still see whats on the screen but it looks like its washed out and saturated to a sever point
the only thing you can do is if your device is still under warranty get it fixed.

I can't say with any certainty this will help anybody - but I experience this same issue, regardless of the rom... What I always do - hit the Email button... I know it sounds odd, but it always seems to work... It launches email, which (if i don't need it) I just close right away and then the other buttons seem to magically work... I know it sounds lame - but honest - it works on my phone...

I had same problems, d-pad buttons stopped working then I got the white screen of death. I replaced the ribbon cable but it didn't help. I replaced the d-pad pcb board and everything is back.

Where did You get this board? Ebay?

Touch Fingers Is not Friendly with android !! [UPDATED 27/april/2k10]

well , I have opened this thread , caz I want every one see it
and we want to fix this problem alone,
We know that LCD of HD1 is still not friendly with android , also you know that some body , thanks to him , tries to fix the high jumps when you scroll between the pages
To celebrate The screen , There is one way , only removes the parameter that person put them to fix the LCD which is this , "msmts_calib=0x395.0x3c9.0x79.0x77" and celebrate will run , but its very bad not useful
another way that I found which is better, we know ubuntu now runs over HD , celebration is very will , after doning the celebration , ubuntu celebration gives you the axis then write them in a paper fastly or if you are slowly every time before boothing ubuntu remove previous celebration file , redo celebration , and write the missing axis
ok now put them in msmts_calib and see the result , write axis of your fingers here ,
and after we see over 12 or 13 results from you
I will generate a gerneral one as like that person who tries to fix up the msmts_calib by giving a general one which is 0x395.0x3c9.0x79.0x77

gives you more sensitive,easily switching between pages

I just try the new setting, it's off (not as good as the original).
The original is quite good in terms of the accuracy (X,Y), the problem is the location jumps very quickly for 2 points (sometimes start out of the screen, and the 1st-wrong point is always on the left) when there is only 1 press, i wonder what is the issue because in WM is fine. Can it really be fixed just by command tweaks, or is it compatibility issues between screen and driver?

me too
it is with this android 2.1c distro and it strangely going more over the time of use.
To the left....
if you touch it in the left side sometimes it jumps the page not fire the widget...
I ve tried the new proposal for the x and y alignment but the calibration is then more of.
I also tried the dev tools pin point and it shows various from just a mil of on instant touch to up too 7-10 mils measured on the screen.
Is there a way to calibrate the screen without a imputing the values?

ok remove the current points and go to old one
deal with LCD as something sensitive , Dont push too much
and if you want to run a program , press on icon with an theta =45 degree
I know its complicated to do that , but by the time you will feel it better

i tried your values, but with finger you see the result (made via "paint" and only make points via my small finger)
as you can see. this "jumping to left" is total painfully if i want to write an email or sms
any idea what this problem can be (not happen on diamond)

This project is 99.9% finished, I need only one little thing to fix and I'll release it for all
I'm working on one project and have problems.
So, let's begin.
I'm building my own settings, sliding settings to be precise (it'll be out soon, as soon as I/we fix this)
And every time I compile and sign settings.apk, everything is O.K except wifi and bluetooth switch/toggle on a main screen settings.
I'll try to explain...
I'm working on editing settings.apk and when I install/move settings I stuck with this situation.
Wifi or bluetooth toggle can be toggled just one time then it becomes gray(ish)/blocked and I have to restart settings or just rotate screen from portrait to landscape (or the othe way, from landscape to portrait).
I belive it just won't refresh or "listeners" doesn't work well.
Check this:
I open settings (wireless is on, I enabled it from status bar) :

- everything is O.K, wireless is on.
Then I turn wireless off:
Wireless switch/toggle isn't available anymore for switching, until I rotate the screen(device) or restart settings (not phone, settings).
Compare red and blue circled switches, red one is blocked (check it colour,it's not same as on bluetooth switch) it's gray and bluetooth, which I haven't touch is O.K (if I had turned it on it'll enable bluetooth but it'll become light blue and it'll be blocked like wifi)
One thing is important to say.
Both adapter (wifi and bluetooth) are fully working without any problems from status bar or even from submenues in settings:
I can enable and disable it without any problems (all the time)....
That's why I don't know what to do...
I tried many stuff...
I compiled seven different versions with seven different sources (settings.apk from various JB ROMs / stock based) but with every single one I have this problem.
And yes, I tested every single settings.apk on various ROMs and frameworks (stock JB and Honami) and all switches are working great, so I'm 100% sure it's not problem with sources)
Problem is because I use tutorial and few smali and xml files are always same - so problem must be there.
I hope some experienced developer will see this and contact me.
I'll send, of course, all sources and compiled apk if some dev like to see and try to help.
Of course only to guys who can help!
As soon as I finish this it'll be out for all the rest

I dont know exactly what are you doing ?
If stock Setting apk not have this problem. The problem only with your new Settings => check your method "sliding settings to be precise"
We dont have this method, so we can not do anything :angel:

I said everything, only two switches on the main screen doesn't work (if I refresh screen (rotate or close and open settings again) it'll work then block again.
Obviously I have to repeat - I tested every single settings.apk in single tab mode and it's working - problem is only when I rearrange settings_headers in three tabs.
Of course that automatically removes framework as an option - it's impossible rhat framework do this (at least in this scenario).
I'll change my question...
Anyone knows which files (probably smail, but which one?) in settings.apk are responsible for wifi and bluetooth switch on a main settings screen (not in a sub menus but in a main screen).
Once again, switches/toggles in submenus are working excellent...

I've been trying to port this mod to our Xperia S for more than a month and I'm stuck at this point too. I've checked different ports and compare all smali codes, making my own changes but nothing is effective...
It seems something related with resume and pause methods of WifiEnabler and BluetoothEnabler...
There's not any significative difference between my port and other's except for:

[ISSUE] Moto G7 Power - Display graphics error

Hi There,
I am new on the android scene and I have recently got my first Moto G7 Power and flashed Lineage OS onto it without GAPPS as I am not a fan of Google. Once the OS is installed on the device everything seems to work fine and I have had no issues with it. No today I didn't charge the device and the device died. When I power the device on everything is normal and then I lock the device display. When I go to check my next SMS message I find that the colours on the display are all messed up. It is kind of what I expect out of a computer when there is a graphics rendering error. I have some photos below;

I did follow all of the instructions in the documentation linked. I have not used the "Get Help" options as I didn't see those till today. I will also post this to these communities.
Additional information I attempted to take a screenshot of the issue though when the screenshot is sent to my computer the issue is not shown in the image.

This problem is happening with me too, it is when I plug the usb cable and block the phone, when it wake up the display are messed. Reset is normal again. Tried to turn off screen saver but it didnt help.

I'm experiencing this problem with other situations too. After more tests I saw in another site this workaround: Change your color profile [Display] -> [Advanced] -> [Colours] from 'Natural' to 'Saturated' and back. Colors will return to normal. After doing that and what PhoneThe4th said I am not experiencing the problem.

Try this:
System - Buttons
( long-press all buttons, to see menu)
Back long press action-Kill foreground app
Home long press action-Kill foreground app
Recent long press action-Kill foreground app.
I did this yesterday (1/10/2022) .

Question Video Fainting while playing on the device

Hi, well I was new here so I was thinking of starting with one problem at a time but,
Whenever I try to play a video, like from all platforms (Prime Video, Youtube, video players like VLC, websites, etc....), the normal color of the video is hindered like there appears to be some kind of a fainting screen overlapping the video reducing the color and playback experience.
And the main thing is this seems to go away when we press the Volume rocker button and until the volume bar appears on the screen the natural colors of the video appear but as soon as it disappears, it goes back to the hindered color version.
It seems like a film is pasted over the screen area and as soon as you press the volume rocker, it is removed!
I have tried formatting and also deleting specific apps used for playing videos and reinstalling them, but of no avail.
Could someone maybe help me out?

Idk if it will work but I would suggest to turn of all options in menu called "Dark Mode options"

Nope I have showed it to the xiomi sevice center and they think it might be a motherboard issue and asked me to let them keep the device for a couple of days but since I'm not free enough I couldnt give it to them! Am planning on giving it next week!

Hi there!
I changed my motherboard due to another issue with networks but the video issue still remains!
Now the service center guys are saying that it is a feature in the device but what kind of a feature it is if it doesn't let us use the amoled screen with the original colors and darkness!
Well currently don't know any solution have suggested to feedback app in miui but no updates of the same!
If you have got any solution please do tell!
