Yes you can go back to stock any time. You need to flash F180S KDZ. There are many guides of flashing KDZ.

Yes you can. But you need to flash F180S modem to get working signals. Probably you may also need to restore EFS partitions. Be sure you backed them up.

{Q} flashing kdz and rooting

hello i have rooted previously using the universal root thing. now there is a new OTA update for my phone from 10f to 10g.
Phone info:

Kernel Ver: 3.4.0

Software Ver: E97510f-525-05

my question is, which method (LGNPST or lg support tool?) should i use to flash the kdz? and will the root method above still work for it?

also is this guide accurate in flashing the kdz for lgog?
please help me i used the kdz updater software, and it crashed at unpacking kdz. now my phone is in download mode, and no matter what i do i cant exit it
Flashing with kdz updater will erase everything.
Using Lg mobile tool, it will not. However, to be safe, copy sensitive data on pc and backup your apps with Titanium or any other app. After backup, copy the backup folder on pc too.
Only after you've done this, proceed to next step and flash stock rom. @nuker, why the hell would you a software designed for another phone'??
There is already a tutorial here, sheesh.I guess you deserve it, like everybody rushing into things without reading before.

lg optimus radio not working..helpp
guys i need ur help..
here s wat i did and messed up
i m a beginner in this andriod field so need guidence
i own an lg optimus G e970 at & t version on ics
i rooted it.... installed slick JB on it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2084431
but forgot to install the modem via recovery.... so when i turned my fone ON, i had carrier network signals available but wifi was not working....
so i didnt know anyway to make it work as i wanted to install terminal emulator and go into recovery from there (since my fone wouldnt goto recovery by power and volume down key.... only thing i knew was to flash an lg fone with a kdz file via marvin tool (R n D tool)
so i downloaded a KOREAN kdz for f180L and tried flashing it on my e970 via R n D tool...it was successfull but when my fone rebooted, it was country locked (required some password at the beggining)
so then i started looking for the other kdz,s available online (as i was specifically looking for kdz for at & t LGOG) but found that it uses tot file for flashing via LGNPST ( so i ignored it by thinking that i would go for kdz but couldnt find it)
(BY THIS TIME I HAD NO IDEA THAT MY RADIO IS DEAD)
then i found a brazilian kdz for e977 and flashed it to my fone via R n D tool and my fone booted up.....everything working but no network signal showing a sim error icon in status bar....i rooted it and installed at & t rom via zip via cwm n got n at & t rom but radio still not working
i tried installing e970 modem.zip and tried flashing tot via LGNPST but it doesnt work for me as LGNPST always give me errors.
when i backtracked everything, i found my mistake: people said that if u would flash a korean rom on a non-korean fone, u would loose ur radio.... thats the stupidity i did and now i n dammmnnnn frustated about it.....
even read about some efs file but no use...
pleaseeeeeeee helllppppp

(Resolved!) Disaster ... No Signal after installing different ROM

My phone is LG Optimus G Pro F240K
I installed E988 (United Arab Emirates) then after that I got a message that my storage is encrypted and I have to supply a password to decrypt it, which I managed to solve by "Hard Reset". The Decrypted storage is solved but my IMEI disappeared and No signal!
I flashed back to my original ROM, F240K10r_00.kdz , using the XQ55 method.
after flashing original ROM, still no signal
Now I am very very upset and in need for urgent help sense there is absolutely no enough resources on the internet.

Hi! The same situation was with the LG Optimus G Pro F240L - after flashing from F240K.
corrected as follows:
1. flash the firmware from LGE980H (TCL / TELCEL (MEXICO))
2. flash the firmware of your phone. radio is turned on
You rolled the dice by flashing a rom For a different model. Not so sure that was a wise move.

Unfortunately there's nothing that can be done unless he has a backup that he can restore. Once you loose the imei it's more than likely gone for good. I lost mine on the e980 twice. First time a backup restoration fixed it. Second time I had to swap the phone. And as for the app for restoring imei, I tested it but it doesn't work with our phones at all.
Edit: you try reinstalling the baseband. As for how you would get it, I know have no clue.

Hmm... I never had to do that. Like i said, I rooted and unlocked straight from F180, then flashed multiple e975 ROMs multiple times via CWM with no problems whatsoever. The device is always identified as E975. Didn't have to do anything extra. Just sharing my experience...
Hmm I'll try again confirm later, done same in early days of my device and it was f180 so i had to remove assert line every time.

Tutorial needed for flashing stock eur rom
Hi there,

I was wondering if there is a step by step tutorial which describes everything in this thread?
Would very much appreciate it.

I'm still not 100%sure that flashing a modem actually works I have flashed different modems on several different roms and never actually seen a change in the displayed modem.
Your steps listed are correct,,, I put my V5 on my ext sd card and I also wipe data factory reset after flashing V5....

This is what I did.
Flashed G2V5 wipe data factory reset
Then reboot. You will have to add your AT$T APN I use the phone apn,, also make sure your service is set to LTE auto
If you get good service IE LTE full bars and what not. Then u are good. No need to try flashing modem.
If your service isn't good then try flashing your modem. Personaly I haven't seen my modem actually change after flashing.
You can verify this yourself. After installing V5 go into setting General about software info and check your baseband version,,, then flash a different modem and check again. I'm my experience it never changes.

Try flash via Recovery the F180L Módem: http://downloads.codefi.re/houstonn/lgog/modem/korean
If not give you results try with Modem of this Post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2792877
PD: If you try with Modem of second link first download, then decompress the RAR file and select your Modem and flash via Recovery.
Cheers and good luck :good:

Thanks for the suggestion. I already tried flashing baseband through recovery. The problem was with bad EFS. After trying all the possible options I found that phone has to be unlocked using BOX. So I tool that to a repair shop and ultimately got the phone working.
