I think that the other thread was simply moved from another forum, if you check the dates. Several of the threads within this forum was moved over from other forums.
Not sure what you mean about the crack. I'm just posting what I saw.
http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/news/mob...-release-date-price-specs-features-vidoes-uk/ - 550 pounds ($907)
http://www.techradar.com/us/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/new-htc-one-1202748 - 500-600 pounds ($825-$990)
http://www.91mobiles.com/htc-m8-one-2-price-in-india - 51,999 RS ($854)
The lowest that I've seen is $760
http://androidandme.com/2014/03/new...software-details-revealed-in-leaked-brochure/

In pure speculation, I would say in the $199 area give or take $50. Going on the fact the S5 (through Sprint) is $199 with a $50 rebate, effectively $149. If the M8 turns out to be much over $199 (with contract of course), don't think it will do well against Sammy.
I also seen the $750-$800 retail range, which was also speculation.
Hopefully this will be available the 25th!

UK / Europe prices are always more. They include vac and other taxes.
My best guess is 599$ / 639$

Pretty straight forward... $199 on contract with useless carriers with their ugly logos stamped on the phone. $600 - $650 for the unsubsidized , unlocked and even Google play edition when they decide to release at some point.

Price Guesstimates

Hi All,
Finally gonna leave my hermes for a new machine.
What quotes have you guys been finding online or at shops for the Rhodium?
Online, I saw a US site pre ordering at $749.99 and a UK site preorder at £517.95
http://www.inkino.co.uk/zen/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2753
Also http://www.expansys.com/ is quoting the t-diamond 2 for £411, so maybe its going to be just below £500?
hopefully the recession will help htc to price it lower
no one wanna play guesstimate?
ok att version $500 when it comes out and then $300 with several discounts and contract ****. wait wait $499.99 and $299.99 us loves to think that makes it less LOL

I second that one. But I must know. What's a verzzzion?
Here's my 2 pence worth
I have been searching and from a UK perspective mobile phones direct have the Pro2 and Diamond2 listed for pre-order.
Their picture of the phone has a free label in the corner.
Judging from what I have seen I am hoping the pricing will be very similar to the HD. If it is then I am going to be as happy as a pig in s***. As soon as the Pro2 is released i'm having one (it also ties in quite nicely to when my contract is up also )

High-end phones seem to be more expensive at the moment with the N97 on Play at a SIM free price of £600.
$299 for Rhodium
$199 for Diamond2
After rebates with 2year contract
When it comes to Sprint in Q3 of this year!
Since the Fuze for ATT was around $350 on release im guessing about the same for the Fuze 2 or TP2 w.e you wanna say lol

I have had my HD for about 2 months and will sell it right now and keep my old Kaiser until this phone comes out. Maybe get it from the UK in May when it is due to drop over there.
I think price will be similar to HD when was launched (Hope is less!!)
Price, well it's bad thing. More than 500 euro, less than 750 euro e.g 600-650 euro unlocked, without contract, nobrand....
I read your post quick, the 500 and 300 but then wait wait 499.99 and 299.99 I dunno what it is but it seems..cheaper, its a mental thing or something...LOL..after looking at it I was like its a 1cent difference but mentally that 299.99 seems cheaper than 300, man they have programmed us stores do it too alot of crap is 19.99 never $20

I gues it will be free in Holland with a 2 year 40 euro a month contract by T-Mobile and will come down to a 30/35 euro a month contract in a few months.
It is already showing at expansys.co.uk for £524 estimated to be in on the 5th of june

I'm plannin on gettin it with Vodafone.
1 year contract. 27.50 a month + Data-plan = 37.50 a month, and the first 6 months 20% discount so that would be:
First 6 months 32 euro a month, and last 6 six months 37.50 a month.
And then I need to pay something like 295 euro for the TP2

Where are the cheapest Desires?

I already have one, and I love it. So does my family, they all want one. I've been asked to search for one for my mother.
I got mine from Clove when it came out for 330, which ended up being roughly $600 Australian, a fantastic deal. I'm just curious to know, after a few months, where people have been getting them and whether they've been cheaper elsewhere.
Also, if possible, where I might find a cheap Silver model for around the same price (it would make it easier to tell the second one apart). All the expansys models end up totaling $700-$800 which is way too much.
Thanks in advance.

checkout Handtec.com, i found their prices to be the lowest, and they ship worldwide!
Ok cool the handtec shop has the phone for a tiny bit less.
How about the silver one? I found one on a European website and I couldn't read the shipping information but the phone was ~$700 AUD. Anyone know of a better price getting around?
I think you mean pdashop.nl and they say that they have an exclusive deal with HTC for that, but I don't think they ship to Australia

[Q] Importing to the U.S. from canada

I'm not too sure if this have been discussed on the GNex, but from what I've found looking around there doesn't seem to be any mention of importing the phone from canada.
Does anyone know if there's a website that does this? If so should I wait for the canadian release to import it or just give in and order it from expansys?
there's another topic floating around talking about that
the general consensus ends up being it'll cost the same as importing it from the UK
Just wait till the 8th...
ah thanks for the replies. I'm just sitting here debating if i want to put in the order right now or not for expansys. While I'd like to not miss the 2nd batch, I'm also certain that they don't ship through the weekends.
Hmmmm decisions....
It's about the same price as from the UK.
I checked with a Bell store earlier today, and they want $650 plus a month of service ($50) + our 13% tax of course. Ends up being ~$700 + tax. Virgin mobile wants the same thing, but I'm wondering what happens if you go on a pay as you go plan and just not load any minutes onto it. In that case it's still $650 + tax.
Not to mention shipping of course.
Is it possible to buy this phone for 650.00 plus tax and shipping and have it shipped to the USA?
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
For Canadians looking to have the device on launch day, contact me. My fee is "modest" but it will save you the hassle of arguing with reps, activating lines, credit checks, and cancellation requests through Bell.
Go check OmegaCell they have crazy prices now but once the device launches it will be good. And Bell has repeatedly told me that the phone is sim locked. The two best buys closest to my house both said they won't sell the phone outright.

For those buying the GN from the UK, get it from Handtec.co.uk Their price has consistently been the lowest of the pack unlocked (make sure you look at the regular price, w/o VAT). With tax and shipping (1-4 days FedEx. Got mine in 1 day!) you're paying about 690 which is great, considering the speed at which they deliver.
In addition (not sure if it's the same for other sellers) but handtec gives you a universal phone adapter/surge protector that covers Europe, the US, Japan, Australia, Thailand and the UK. It's not practical for use in the US (I'm using my sensation charger) but you never know when it might come in handy, especially if you travel a lot.

Reputable sellers to US buyers

Hey guys I just cant make the idea of the 16GB XL work for me and I want to order the One X 32GB. Can anyone tell me some reputable sellers?? I have been told to many horror stories about importing phones . Any tricks to get this working on ATT I should be aware of?

I'd go with Handtec or Clove in the UK. Expansys and Negri have been shipping Malaysian phones. Handtec actually delivers overnight where "express" from Expansys can take almost a week.
Was looking at Intergron Technology website as they have it for a bit cheaper. BBB check on them doesnt look bad. $599 is there price but what about warranty doing it this way? Is this a grey market purchase doing it this way will HTC honor the warranty?

Good questions. It's grey market by definition because it's being sold outside of the country/region of intended sale. I'm guessing Expansys is an authorized reseller but I don't know about the others. Samsung is insanely strict about grey market warranty support, I don't know about HTC. Phones purchased in the UK all come with a two year warranty. I don't know about Asia. Sorry for questions instead of answers. Maybe someone with more HTC experience knows more.
Well I can wait til some more folks throw in their 2 cents. I just wish HTC would have offered a 32gb XL or just put the SD slot on then this wouldnt be an issue.

Have you used an imported phone before? In addition to warranty questions there's also the fact you can't buy carrier insurance for it. I'd strongly suggest a SquareTrade warranty. They insure grey market phones and cover ADH should anything happen to it. It's about $95 for two years with a $99 deductible and they cover up to price you paid for the phone. There's some 30% off coupons on the Prime forum's front page to get to that $95. It's also transferable and adds a lot of value if you want to eBay or CL later.
I always get my phones from negrielectronics

Malaysian phones are just like every other phone. the only thing that might bother some is that the update took a few more days to get sent out. there's no good reason to pay more than you have to, but that's my opinion. mine was 619 with 5 day UPS.
the only warranty you can get for the X that i know of is Squaretrade. i've never had a phone go bad before i was done with it so i'm not getting one.
Yeah XL is bogus and LTE is not everywhere. Better development for Tegra as you can see. Plus you don't need a smartphone data plan so the phone will pay for itself. Unlimited data is 15 bucks, so your saving 15 a month.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA
Yeah I am on unlimited but not in an area that will see LTE in this decade lol. So thats why I am looking at the 32Gb version. 16 just wont cut it.
Newegg has it for 619 right now. I think I will be getting it there. Anyone else bought a phone from Newegg. I am concerned about there return policy. 30 Days for refund and 90 for replacement.
I bought mine from expansys. The phone shipped the same day I ordered it and got to my home in Arizona 2 days later. That was with their free shipping. I am very happy with them. I also received a flawless phone. Having zero issues here. This was my first time buying from them however I will gladly buy from them in the future.

Desire Z worth selling second hand?

My contract expires in a weeks time, and I will be changing carriers and upgrading to a new LTE handset (most likely a Razr HD). I am trying to decide if the DZ is worth putting on ebay or not, I have watched a few DZ auctions and they are lucky to go for $100 these days, and that's for stock rom handsets, mine is probably worth even less as its running CM7.2.
I can't believe I paid $650 for the handset 24 months ago, talk about depreciation. What is everyone else doing with their DZ handsets? keeping or selling, I don't really need another old phone sitting in my draw but $100 seems like such a waste of a great qwerty smartphone.
I would keep it myself but I'm also the type of person that would snatch up that phone for $100. I'm Happily using a 3 yr old N1 I paid $115 for a few months ago from a member on here.

I would say it depends on your phone's condition. If it looks fine then you should sell it. If running on stock make it more desirable, then maybe unroot the phone if that's not too much work for you?

it's more like overly marked-up. The Nexus 4 and the iPad mini is sold for about 150% hardware cost and they are still at half of that $650 price.

Interested in buying my Desire Z? Its an unbranded and unlocked GSM model which I purchased outright from Handtec in Nov 2010, it has heaps of accessories such as:
Desktop dock charger
Additional original HTC battery
Black rubber case
Authentic PDair leather case
Original HTC earphones and charger (UK plug like all handtec stock)
I still have the box and receipt
I would sell it for $100 (AUD) plus freight, which is fair I think considering the above accessories cost me well over $100.

The condition is not bad, like not perfect the rear battery door is a bit scratched but you can replace them easily and there is a couple scratches on the corners and a few surface scratches on the gorilla glass as I didnt use a screen protector over the last few months, you can only notice them on certain angles though.
I dont really have the time to unroot the phone, if it was worth more I would probably find time.
