VanirAOSP is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4 (KITKAT), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please

VanirAOSP is an aftermarket firmware Like CyanogenMod with add functionalities . We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on Github.
What to expect:
- This is not a McCopy ROM. What goes into our build is well thought-out and not a bunch of stuff duck taped together because we could.
- maximum optimization. We do our research. We test hard. We build -fstrict -O3 globally and include a massive array of code optimizations and memory leak fixes that we write ourselves and eventually submit to AOSP or Linaro.
- originality in our source. We generate a lot of new commits being features or general code improvements. We are open source to share and improve the community but we also try to make sure we offer a unique experience.
- aesthetics.. hopefully in your opinion

All non-stock roms have weird crackles between audio tracks in all music players. Any rom without this issue could be my daily one.

hm.. never had it in my previous builds .. can't say about this duh! since my device gone for repair (cracked screen )

Okay. Then I'm going to try your build later today.

Will test when I get back to school

No audio problems! And this fix also works with this rom!
Quick update:
This rom is awesome, very fast and stable. I'm keeping it on my phone.
Edit2:
I don't understand one thing. All animations are ultra fast, I would like to slow down them a little and I tried all settings and I can't do that. The CRT animation is still too fast, animations on lockscreen are also very very fast and it isn't looking good.

why need it slow lolz
anyway have u checked under Animation Control the last three lines make them .75x (or as u like)
Cheers

I just want them a little slower, like on stock ROM. I slowed down window animations but can't change speed of lockscreen animations.

Very slow download
the site has a speed of 70kb, is this right? or just too much data traffic?

I have installed this rom, but I'm not getting bluetooth to turn on. I have attached my logcat.

Sorry, I won't be able to, as I need to go out today later and I need to use my device, so I'm reverting to stock backup. Not sure when I'll get another chance. Hopefully if I'm not the only one with the problem then someone else should have it and be able to help you.

Great rom, bluetooth and everything else working fine for me, absolutely no problems at all. Only one complaint, why is there no music app included? Could you include apollo from cyanogenmod?

Welcome to VanirAOSP.
Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
minor UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
low profile mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
many improvements and new features unique to vanir
more to come when i feel like updating the op

Is this not officially supported? Cause I can't find the build on their storage page.

I am an official maintainer for Xperia V but I will try to get official support from vanir for z1 compact after I fix bugs on the Xperia V builds. Of course, this is built from source and is stable for daily use as confirmed by @rob rich I will try to squeeze in time to update. Wanted to update it today but I had no time left.

This will be in next build(hopefully by Friday)
I had time to build today but vanir screwed their sources. It was trying to build Samsung stuff for Z1 Compact.

The only annoying bug I have found so far, is that the back button sometimes lags a little. Maybe it is related to the new 5 button navbar settings. But even if you don't change anything in this settings the back button sometime lags...

OK, didn't know that because I haven't used CM for a long time. I can not tell if the bug was present in your older builds, build 3 is the only one I used. So I think there is nothing you can do to fix this bug, right?

About GlazeOS: Glaze OS is a free, open-source, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device. It offers features not found in the official Android based firmwares of vendors.
AOSP Based on Android Open Source Project.
Linaro Optimized Linaro’s GCC improvements have been producing measurable performance advantages over Google’s stock Android environment and build toolchain, delivering an improvement of 30 to 100 percent in various benchmarks.
Enablement for Qualcomm MSM The Android for MSM project allows users to build an Android based platform containing additional enhancements for Qualcomm chipsets. The platform uses Google's Android Linux implementation and tools.
Substratum Theme Engine Based on Sony's Overlay Manager Service (OMS). This is similar to Layers in terms of stability and customization as it runs off an upgraded version of the Resource Runtime Overlay system, with the added benefit of running up-to-date Sony code on a customized ROM.

Hey, just found this rom... Seems interesting... Can you answer a couple questions for me?...
1. Does this rom use CM battery styles?
2. Does this rom have Pixel Navbar icons? From screenshots I could say it doesn't, but can you confirm it, or even answer if you have plans on implementing this?
3. Does this rom use DUI Smartbar?

Well this looks promising, imho CAF based ROMs are the best I'm still using the now abandoned aosp-caf and in my opinion it is superb
Tried this ROM and is pretty good I hope that this one will be a good CAF ROM I also used dirty unicorns but there were a couple problems specially with calls
This one had no issues others that i was unable to switch overview and back buttons
I'll wait for next update
Can someone (who has used this rom for the last week) tell me an honest review about this rom? I want to try it but I would like to know if it's worth losing my current rom setup/configurations/customizations ...
Thanks

I don't need too many customizations... these ones would be ok:
1. Media cover art on lockscreen
2. Customizations for power menu.
3. Volume rocker (to change songs with volume keys long-press).
Does this rom already have these things?
Can you attach some screenshots of lockscreen and power menu? Thanks in advance.

As of now, only 32-bit builds will be provided. One of the obvious reasons is that my dev phone is only a 16G/2G device.
I won't argue about the pros and cons for either arch in this thread. If you feel the need for 64-bit, feel free to browse the plethora of 64-bit ROM threads in this forum.
I won't nothing but silently ignore (and eventually report) posts that show proof of being
- silly
- ignorant
- aggressive
- impolite
...
This also goes for posts that are just there due to sheer lazyness of the respective writer instead of having read/searched both this thread and this forum upfront.
If your posts does not fall into either category, but still doesn't get replied, it might have been as well just over looked. But don't count too much on that!
Thank you for such a great ROM. I have been using this ROM for the past 3 hours and I can assure that it is really smooth. I also really like the fact that you have kept this at 32bit as I too have a 2GB version of G4 Plus and 64 bit kinda lags on it, plus I see no practical difference between 32 bit and 64 bit here.
I would like to add some features request too
1) Please try to remove the 'Device is HD capable' notification and logo, adding a VOLTE logo would be enough, I guess.
2) The navigation bar should me changed to the Oreo one
3) Add an in-built camera, as Footej is not working properly.
Thank you, have a good day.
Hello, what gapps do you recommend for this ROM? I'm not talking about pico, nano etc. I'm talking about the source of the gapps.

Nothing to clarify, just never mind that. Its obviously a typo. Don't get hung up on the things that don't matter
Im using xt1621 variant with 2gb RAM.
Latest 64 bits ROMs works smooth, no lag. I mean, I think developer can work with 64 bits without problems.
Just a suggestion

LineageOS 15.1 x64. Latest update 20180203
(Battery life is not good)
I've noticed the flash isn't working when taking photos (at least with opencamera) - the flash lights up once for focusing but then the photo is taken without. Do you need logcat?

What's AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications.
More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.
We added few non-AOSP features for a better user experience and we NOT going to add something other.
What's CodeAurora Forums?
Code Aurora Forum (CAF) is a consortium of companies with projects serving the mobile wireless industry.
Software projects it concerns itself with are e.g. Android for MSM, Femto Linux Project, LLVM, MSM WLAN and Linux-MSM.
Code Aurora is basically AOSP plus all Qualcomm specific enhancements and optimization
Bugs and Notes

FAQ
Why is the security patch older then the latest AOSP patch?
CAF focus on delivering the latest hardware patches and are usually about a month behind Google on security patches,
on the other hand, Google is usually a month or more behind on them on caf patches (sometimes months).
No point in complaining about it, if you want the latest security patch, go with an AOSP based rom (like PixelExperience),
if you want latest qualcomm optimizations for our hardware as well as fixes, go with caf, its as simple as that.
Can you add X feature like traffic meter?
No! this is pure aosp-caf.
no stupid non stock UI tricks
Installation
Same as all other roms here:
1. Reboot to recovery (Latest twrp recommended)
1. Wipe everything except for internal & external
2. Install ROM
5. Gapps (OpenGapps-Pico recommended)
6. Magisk
7. Reboot

Anyone who tryed already? How is battery?

Thank you for your awesome work and support for Mi Note 3 :highfive:
The ROM is fluid. No application errors. GCam is working. Some applications I had to download in apkmirror (Instagram, for example). WiFi does not stay connected when rebooting. Quick chargind also doesn´t works. Small details. I did not have time to analyze the battery, but the ROM is very good! Thanks, dev!

Call recording error
Hello Gibran I flashed liquid remix pie on my Galaxy S7 and when trying to use the call recording feature an error pops up saying failed to start recording.
Would really appreciate any assistance.
I tested and I have the same bug in Bluetooth as in LOS. How can I solve this to browse my music over BT from my Car unit?
Substratum doesn't work on this ROM. Is there any suggestion?
Thank you!
This ROM works fine to me. Good job!
Google Camera is working.
Encriptation too.
Fingerprint.
Internet banking.
Beautiful Android Pie!
Best regards

Well, it promises a lot and it seems very interesting, I want to try it, but I would like to know if it has the same bugs as Lineage 16 and if the HWComposer does not work here either
Well, you first have to flash LIQUID REMIX! I have tested the HWComposer and it don't work. Some other bugs can happen but fortunately, I did not get it. Good luck!
Very good Rom wow. Only the Gaming Performance ist not so liquid.
I rhink its my New fav at the Moment.
Thank for this Rom.
