Where to buy Moto X Battery? - Moto X Accessories

I just Purchased a used Moto X off of Swappa. I love the phone! Unfortunately my battery life is pathetic even compared to my year and a half old iPhone 5. I have tried optimizing all the settings. I saw that there are guides on how to replace the batteries but I have not been able to find where to actually purchase them. Has anybody seem them for sale? OEM if possible.

I have seen them on eBay.

Just checked ebay, and couldn't find one. But here is one: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2120...ACEMENT-BATTERY-EX34-ORIGINAL/1600863563.html It might take a while to get to you, unless you want to pay a ton for shipping.

Call Motorola. $99 to replace. With their excellent customer service they might do it for free as well?

Its not your battery.
You just need to do some troubleshooting, maybe with peoples help.
I guarantee if you don't, and get another battery and manage to successfully swap them.....you will end up severely disappointed when its no different.
I'd start by taking some time and reading through the hows your battery life thread...then post some gsam screenshots and see if people can help track down your issue.
Trust me....if its as bad as you say, another battery won't help. You'll be throwing money away.

How do i spot fake OEM batteries?

There are a lot of batteries out now claiming to be OEM batteries for the Evo. They are red like the original. But saw somewhere that sellers were takeing the aftermarket black batteries and just making them red. Are there any ways to tell if it really is a OEM battery? Besides the obvious, buying it from sprint or htc. And if you know of a place to buy them on the cheap let me know plz. thx.
price
No clue what an oem battery costs. I'm using the chicitec from amazon 2 for 28.99. Good deal, better life. Will post my comarisons in that thread tonight.
I heard checking the back of the battery will tell you the mAh and reveal if the battery is real or a fake. Not too familiar with batteries but that's what I read. (lift up the sticker covering the battery)

A REALLY EASY TEST and it works everytime... first suck on someones stick. Then put the battery in your mouth. If you die then it is real. if you don't. it's fake. lmao.

How old are you? Really?
guess that how he did it
I bought a set of two batteries for $10 on ebay. They were 2000 ahm while the original htc battery are 1500ahm. the problem was that the ones I got were lithium ion. Make sure you get lithium polymer. It makes a HUGE diff. The twp together last but its a pain halting out the one fort the other. Not to mention changing them.

Go to sprint chat. Tell the rep nicely your battery life sucks. He or she has been instructed to handle your issue by giving you credit for a new battery. Go to Sprint store. Purchase extended battery or regular battery. Go home and back on chat. Tell the new rep you were told you would be credited. He or she will do it. Next month see it on your bill.
To ensure 100% oem get it from Sprint. Plus the method I mentioned is free
Credits to jadeboy from themikmik for passing that on to me. It works.

Might have to give that a run on my E3D, just cause I'd like another battery...

[VZW] Anybody selling their stock battery?

I know a couple people picked up those extended batteries when they were on sale from verizon (or maybe still on sale?), if anyone is selling their original stock non extended battery please feel free to give me a PM.
Sorry, I'm keeping my stock battery as a spare for days when I'll be using my phone a lot and won't be able to charge anywhere. I'm sure most other people will do the same since it's pretty nice to have a spare battery sometimes. I keep mine charged and stored in my car.
Also, I'm pretty sure you can still get the extended batteries from Verizon for $25. They've never really went off "sale" since the Nexus launched. I would definitely recommend picking one up for that price even though the difference is negligible (in both charge and size).
I work 3rd shift & am at work now. If you read this before I get a chance to PM you, send me a pm with what you think is a fair price. I will answer as soon as I can.

[Q] Should I keep my HTC One X or move to the Moto G?

I've posted this on Reddit, but I want to know the opinion of my HOX community.
Here goes:
I have my very loved HTC One X (International) with me at the moment. I've been happy with it after a year and a half.
My phone has the HOX wifi fault. And the battery life barely gives me 2-3 hours screen on time. I've tried underclocking, flashed custom roms, kernels, etc. But the battery still doesn't last me within the day. Not even until noon.
But I've been reading pretty good stuff about the Moto G and it's hardcore battery life.
I know that somehow I'm downgrading. I'll miss the slightly larger screen though. Also, I don't care about the camera, because I have my Canon EOS M with me which I can copy pictures to the phone via USB OTG.
Would it be worth it if I sell my HOX and get that one? Or do you have a phone to recommend me? I'm planning to get a Pebble smartwatch too if ever.
P.S. I'll be able to sell my hox for like $220-ish here in the Philippines. My cousin is in the US at the moment for the holiday season. So I have my way to get that phone.
--------------
I know that the kernel sources came out, which means some more tinkering. But I just can't shake the fact that there's little support for the Tegra 3. What's your verdict?
I would sell it just for the battery alone, It's cheaper too if you can sell yours for what you said!
And i am thinking about sell hox ant take nexus 4. But more i think, more i want to keep it

Would Anyone Take A Punt On This without Seeing Reviews First

What with the rumours going round it will be launched same day, would anyone here actually go out and buy it on launch day without seeing any reviews first.
I'd like to say I was that brave but the truth is the battery life on my HTC One is so average / bad I'd be worried to stick down that amount of cash for a sub standard battery.
I intend to go out and get it as soon as possible, but I have seen more of the device than the average non-xda consumer.
I'm definitely going to get one ASAP. Been saving up since I got the original. I think this version Will be the version I'll stick with for a few years ?
Don't get me wrong, I love the original version. But the extendable memory is definitely a plus in this year's version.

If it comes with a big battery I am in. If it's puny, I dont think I can suffer another year of up and down battery life, I know thats pathetic but thats what it really comes down to for me ....

Just like many others, the 2300 battery on the One lasted all day, so 2600mah will be an upgrade.
I did with the One X+ that literally no one new about and I don't regret it. It sucks today only cus of the tiny battery and HTC thinking a Tegra 3 chip overclicned was a smart idea but outside of charging my phone 2-3x a day, love it. If I didn't have to wait til April 16th to cancel my contract with ATT to switch to Verizon I would be at a Verizon store tomorrow the moment they opened. Specifically the one my friend manages so he has my device set aside waiting for me . But will have to wait, no biggie.

Real replacement battery

First....let me explain. I bought a brand new n5 about 3mos ago. Screen went bad and took to a sprint service center. They took one look and said "yep, we'll ship you a "new" one in 2 days....very friendly staff". I knew I was getting a refurb, but upon arrival it was physically flawless. I ran stock for a couple weeks, and got pretty bad battery life, then I went back to my usual rastakat+codeblue combo. With an identical setup to my original device I'm getting half the SOT. I'm good at tracking/smacking wakelocks and run a pretty minimal setup. I called sprint and they assured me there would be a new battery in the refurb.....trust me guys/girls....its definitely not. Instead of badgering sprint, I just want to let it go and put a new battery in. Everywhere I look online looks dodgy though. Can anyone help
Sorry for being longwinded.....
tl;dr I need a new battery and I don't know where to get a guaranteed legit one.
Can anyone help
Take it to a LG service centre and tell them you want the battery replaced. It's your best bet.
However, if you want to do it yourself, you can buy one off ebay. Just make sure the seller is a reputed one.
