If it's from ebay, my bet would be its a knockoff for that price. Post up some read write speeds, if there legit I'll be 3 for that price!

What are you ready to bet ?
Tell me how to do the write/read speed test and I'll post it. But for how it works for me, it is not a defective unit nor a copy. Files transfer operates flawlessly, recording videos and taking pictures works like a charm. Mounting a 1go iso file in ppsspp is instant loading, no delay or lag.
I got it from Ebay France (usually run through fr, UK and DE) by auction. Brand new and sealed. That's why I was saying that I don't know if Amazon was making a good deal or not.
To let you imagine, I paid 100 euros for an Optoma Hd700 worth +-700€ back then, and whenever I search something I get my hands on bargains almost every time. Getting a Micro SDXC UHS class 10 for 15$ is like daily route

I use ebay all the time but for easily replica table things I stay away. I bought my canon t4i an tons of other goodies on there
The problem with knockoff sd cards is they work but not at high functioning speeds. I run my micro sd's in my go pro all the time, the fakes can't handle the speed an they cut out at higher resolutions and frame rates. Same goes with the dslr, I can't shoot high speed shots consistently. That's why genuinely are important
Download sd tools on the App Store, that should tell you.

I got for less on the sale yesterday but still worth it, even at that price. It all depends on what you use it for. Like I said, I need cards that read fast. If you just using it to store data then write speed isn't that big of deal unless it's under 15 a second (hd playback will have a tough time).

Suggestions for 16GB class 4+ microSD card

I'm looking at upgrading the stock 8GB class 2 card that came with the Evo. 32GB are a little pricey still, and I'd like to have a little more storage since I'm upgrading, so I'm looking at 16GB cards. I saw this from Amazon. Decent price too. Any suggestions out there? I'd like something that would be fast enough for if/when the video recording issue gets resolved. I'm not sure about ebay because I've read that people get crappy cards that don't write to said capacity and poor write/read speeds. But if you bought from ebay and it worked out for you, post a link of what you bought!
I recommend this card. It is rated as a class 2, but performs better than most class 6 cards. It has impressive benchmark results and works well in dedicated HD camcorders. Check the link in this thread to Slickdeals for review: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715012

hate dealing with rebates etc.
how are the ebay sandisks/panasonics that go for $25ish?

Nice find! Benchmark on it basically doubles that of the Sandisk 8GB CL2 that came with my EVO benched @ Write: 2.8MB/S and Read: 6.6MB/S.
In addition, I still have a store credit of $17 from 2007..basically free after rebate. Lol.

Definitely not worth the risk. I've read a lot of mixed reviews from the card only reading 2GB, to constant errors, and eventually failure within weeks/months.

[Q] Samsung SDHC card query

Bit of a random question, this. I'm in the market for a new micro SDHC card, and was looking at Samsung cards - my Desire came with one (so they're good, from experience) and quite cheap too, but not so cheap I'm worried.
Anyway, this one: Samsung Essential 8GB Class 6 is, as it says, 8GB and a class 6. It's £9.99.
This one: Samsung Extreme 8GB Class 6 is also, as it says, an 8GB card with class 6 spec. It's £13.99.
Now, they're both the same class and both the same size and manufacturer. Are they essentially the same, or does the Extreme (other than the weather protection) do something that the Essential doesn't? (Which also lists all the same hardcore protection features the Extreme does)
I'm just a bit confused. Is there even a distance? Surely they'll perform the same? I'm aware classes is minimum speed spec but still.
Hopefully one of you will know!
Thanks!
I don't really know about samsung.. but I used to use a SanDisk Mobile Ultra 8GB Class 6 and I got R/W speeds of about 15mb/s! which is twice than what it *should* be.. it's actually the best sd I've ever had lol, would be a good thing to look for. It is abit more expensive though
Hehe, yes - I'd love to go Sandisk but I'm asking myself if I can even justify the £10 on the cheaper one. In the product description - and I'm not sure if this really /means/ anything in the real world, it says "24MB/s read speed is fast enough to satisfy even the most impatient data fiend."
I'm tempted to just go for the cheaper one to be honest!

wow an advertised 24mb/s speed is awesome. I'd go for it!
I went for it! Here's hoping it performs as well as they say it does.
I've got Data2SD on my Samsung class 2 card that came with the phone at the moment, so I'm expecting to see an improvement. It's bearable as it is, but lags a bit too often!

Looking for a 32GB micro SD

Hi everyone. I'm looking to buy a 32GB microSD card to store some music and ROMs and I need some advice on how to find good ones for cheap. I don't really want to go over $25 really so I'm not really looking for Class 10 or anything. But what I don't want is a Class 2. I have found 2 cards that may be good. Can anyone recommend one of these or possibly even something else?
SanDisk Class 4 - $19.99
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004G60AD6?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Polaroid Class 10 - $24.99
http://m.bestbuy.com/m/e/product/detail.jsp?skuId=5559941&pid=1218660314316
Kingston Class 4 - $24.99
http://m.bestbuy.com/m/e/product/detail.jsp?skuId=2603545&pid=1218354912613
Why is the Class 10 Polaroid so cheap? I'm inclined to go for the SanDisk because it's cheap and a good brand and I've also heard that SanDisk is known for having higher write speeds than advertised. Any advice is appreciated.,

About 6 months ago i sprung for a genuine Samsung class 10 32GB SD for my ET4G and i paid about $40 with free shipping from amazon. I got the class 10 because i shoot HD video in 720 and 1080 and i wanted to make sure it had the xfer rate to handle it. If all you're doing is storing files like music and pictures or roms then class 4 is fine. I just bought that SanDisk 32GB for my OG Galaxy tab and its working great. Granted i only read books/manga and listen to music with it and they work great.
I hope this helps in some way towards your decision.

Thank you very much - it does help with my decision. I just want to store my music and some root stuff on it. I'm sick of using Google Music because it drains my battery life streaming from the cloud.
I'd highly suggest going with the absolute fastest you can find.
Why? Because media scanner will run and run and run and run and run, forever, sucking up your battery if you have lots of music files.
I went from a class 4 to a class 10 and it was a huge difference with many photos and MP3 files.

I had a class 2 sandisk 16 gb- bought a sandisk class 4 32gb for 11.50 on ebay- GENUINE- in an auction- free shipping- Its good enough- then get the app rom toolbox- speed up your sd reader to 2048- and now you have all that you could ever need- unless you shoot hd video- then get class 10- ( stay away from cheesy brands- the rating may be fudged.. pay for class 10- and getting a lower rating and quality.
I have been using a TOPRAM Class 10 32GB micro SD for about 2 years now, and I have had ZERO issues. I have used it in three different phones, it has been partitioned and formatted many times, wiped, and had a constant amount of data going on, and off of it during the period I have had it, and It still continues to serve me perfectly. they run around $30 with free shipping on Ebay. i was skeptical at first, but after a couple years, it is still the best micro SDHC I have ever owned.
Thank you guys for the advice. I know it sounds stupid but I don't really want to pay $30 for a microSD card, even if it is Class 10 and only $10 more than what I'm looking for. I think I'm just gonna get the SanDisk Class 4 because I'm mainly using it just music storage and ROMs. I'm still keeping an eye out for good deals on eBay though for Samsung Class 10's but most of those seem fake coming from Hong Kong lol.
I just had my 16gb PNY class 10 fail on me, taking out about 200 pictures since I procrastinated on regularly backing it up. I don't think I'll ever use PNY again, beware if you do. When this card was being on sale at bestbuy last year, other people had reported odd issues with theirs but I thought it was just a coincidence. Guess not.
NOTE: Polaroid memory cards are made by PNY.

Little of both. He is not listed and has been doing EBAY for over a year. Thats a good sign. The better sign is all 4 I received test perfect and do not show the poor ink blotching and off color plastic as fakes. So I feel fairly confident. When fakes are being sold the negative reviews stack p fast. I just looked and it said 3 left? He may get more I hope.
I did search and another seller with them at 23.95 and they are not on negative list. I have not seen them so do not want to refer you if fake. But no negative reviews and also solid account.

Sandisk 32GB Class 10 from DX?

Anyone have any experience from the Sandisk 32GB Class 10 from DealExtreme?
I'm looking for a good sd card and I think this one fits my needs.
I have ordered from DX a long time ago when they had flashcarts and a flashlight, but I have no expereince with buying an microsd card from them.
There's a chance it is fake, but as long as it works it doesn't bother me at all.
Looking at the reviews it seems good and I'm about to order, just want to see what you guys think of it or if anyone of you guys have bought an sd card from them.
Here's the link: http://dx.com/p/sandisk-micro-sd-tf-memory-card-w-sd-adapter-32gb-class-10-139290
It's for $28.70
Thanks!
If you don't need the adapter thingy, they're a couple of dollars cheaper for the same card at amazon. Also less of a chance you'd get burned by a fake.

Now is a class 10 even necessary for a S3?
Probably not absolutely necessary but the price differential between that and a lower class (speed) one isn't that great (couple of dollars) to make the cheaper one a 'bargain'.

Didn't think it would work Because it was for a s7 promotion on the link ; but i input all my info and everything checked out with my note 7 purchase
It asked if i wanted a 256 micro sd card or a gear VR..
I opted for the gear vr of course (yes , i know the micro sd cost more) I asked my self do i really need over 300 GB of space ? I said na , Il opt for a gear VR .. i have the first model for my s6 and it was amazing minus the pix quality but the whole 360 vr experience is something to experience..

Just benched it in my Note7. 73 read, 63 write. That's with the same Lexar you have.

It will vary a bit from test to test but thats not too far off what i see though.
Thats more than double the write speed of 99% of the cards out there though.
Too bad the note couldnt match the speeds in my laptop lol...read mid 200's, write at 100 or so lol

It's better than the 15 write I had with my previous Sandisk. I'll take it, lol.

For my recalled Note 7 purchased August 19, I opted for the 256 Micro SD card. Then when I returned My Note7 and purchased the "New Note 7 with out the battery issues I opted for the Gear VR. So Now will have the Gear VR with the Storage space to save Games and Video. I also have 2 of every accessories that the phone came with becase all they wanted was the phone, so I was able to keep the original accesories and the new accessories that came with the new phone. I also kept the s-Pen so I have a back for that! All in all, for all the headaches with the recall, I think I came out O'tay!
