What is it exactly what it does for cell phone I'm using ROM of monxDIFIED
It is recommended?

Yes if your device is by eg, a C6902 or C6906 you have not good build.prop it's not a big dangerous but it's better...
And the build.prop is tweaked

If you are on C6903 you not need this Patchs because she are based on C6903... But for the others it's recommanded...

"It's better" doesn't mean a lot. What exactly is changed?

Your device is not good detected (recognized as C6903), maybe of bads connections or others unstability could appear I don't know... But the better, it's to have the good build.prop for the good device...
I share these patchs because a user from "monXrom" gave me this good idea...

He did "modules" for all roms for phones other than C6903 (C6902,C6943 etc.)
Wysłane z mojego C6903 przy użyciu Tapatalka

Yes and i Will add C6943 for later...
It's for custom stockrom, because 9/10 are based on C6903... If you have C6902 or 06 your device will be not recognized as a C6902 or 06... but in C6903...
The module firmeware Is complet, and the build.prop Is the good for each versions...
(build.prop tweaked )

The tweaks from my rom...

No problem.
I just want you to explain what these tweaks are.
Whats your problem in not telling us.
And if you continue not sharing this I will report you and your thread to the mods.
You have been asked in several posts to explain these tweaks and you have not done so.

Pal, there's no spoil anyway, when is about to post tweaks one needs to properly go into details about each feature
We do appreciate your work reason why will ask you politely to expand your creation and not jumping into reporting as I personally usually do
Just enumerate the tweaks included, no need for a "how to" , people must know what they use, isn't fair to just say "flash if you want to "
Thank you, I'm currently using your Rom, friends?

Moreover, no subject from rom customized speaks of all the tweaks added in build.prop... you want any examples??? all ...
But I'll do...
And i am not H24 on this thread, I have a life and of work...
a little advice, wait...
The patience is a virtue, but your arrogance is a bad thing...

There was no arrogance anyway, if you want, the mods can sort this out straight away

I have opened your build.prop, easy to compare to the stock one, it's true but why not making the users even happier and post the changes
Would be a good start for you as a Xperia z1 contributor where there is already lack of development
Just calm down, we're here to help both users and contributors

Something in a rom with an aroma installer or you just port them each and post them in the respective forums. Which are you trying to do ?

I just wanted to port in some more carriers so when it first boots
the ROM is more compatible with more then just Telus users.
I haven't ever used aroma and don't plan to if I can.

With a Canadian ROM all the user needs to do is as their APN and change their build prop to reference their specific device. An easy way to do this would be to make a flashable zip with the apns.conf file and like the one from my ROM and then make a build prop for the at&t device or any other i747m device that the user can flash after installing the ROM.
apns-conf.xml - 198.08 KB
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
So basically I'd have to just create the flashable zip + updater-script, add in the apns-conf.XML file along with an at&t build.prop? Sorry to clarify, I'm just a little uncertain.

Yep that's the really basic way and it works for at&t and Canadian ROMs so you don't have to upload a whole new ROM. You can get more in depth if you so desire but then you'd need to do it as a separate ROM

I can most definitely wait, I think I may give it a go on my own as well so I can compare cause I'll probably end up giving myself a boot loop

you could give me credit as I noticed it first and mentioned it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52791076&postcount=157
anyway, congrats guys. A modded version better that the original update is on the way for E975. Just wait a bit and feed your phone with a tasty kitkat.

I didn't own it,I only have the Xperia Z...
Ben,
thank you very much for posting this .ftf for us!
I own a T3 and unlocked the bootloader however once I did it, the phone entered boot loop. After trying to flash a different kernel it doesn't leave the SONY screen at all. I tried using the flashtool by Androxyde but I always get "cannot open bundle error". Below are the messages I always get:
0/056/2014 17:56:14 - INFO - Selected Bundle for D5103. FW release : 18.1.A.1.14. Customization : 3 [email protected]
20/056/2014 17:56:14 - INFO - Preparing files for flashing
20/057/2014 17:57:24 - ERROR - .\firmwares\prepared\elabel-D5103-row_201406131600.1_18.1.A.1.14.sin (Acess denied)
20/057/2014 17:57:24 - INFO - Cannot open bundle. Flash operation canceled
Once I connect the phone to the USB while pushing the volume down button flashtool quickly recognizes it's in flashmode but then it appears to have lost the connection.
How can I successfully return my phone to factory status?
Thanks for your help!

Ok, I passed the "access denied error". For some reason even though I was running flashtool as root the application wasn't being able to create the files on its directory. I transferred all files to my user folder and flashtool prepared the files correctly. Now I have a working phone again! I wish I was able to remove the branding though.
Best Regads,
JZ

[INFO] S3 Neo Dual SIM & S3 Neo Plus (Single SIM) Chipsets

WARNING !!! S3 Neo Duos and S3 Neo Plus have the same chipset !!!
Looks like GSMArena messed with specs of S3 Neo Duos (I9300I) and S3 Neo Plus (I9301I) !
In fact:
They said that I9300I have a Qualcom Snapdragon 400 msm8226 and I9301I have a msm8228.

The BIG problem is that msm8228 is a BIG LIE. It doesn't seem to even exist!
I searched many times on internet for this Chipset and was unable to find it.
So, to be sure, I downloaded both devices official firmwares just to see what's inside their build.prop and SURPRISE!
Both have the exact same Chipset

Well, that's weird...A friend also got one where CPU/RAM Identifier keep saying it have MSM8228
Really confusing
I guess it's a geographic thing, I'm from Portugal, and I've bought it in November 2014. I can test it with other application and send you data, if you tell me how to do it. : )

I don't know how to save my build.prop as a file. Do I need a rooted phone - mine isn't?
I've got some screen captures, check them.
is that mean i can flash a i9300i official firmware [android 4.3] on the i9301i model ?

It's OKAY! Looks like Samsung just replaced msm8226 with msm8228 on line ro.chipname lol

Well, this is an IMPORTANT question.
In my knowing and experience, such thing is likely IMPOSSIBLE cause the device is being sold with stock Android 4.4.x
It's like installing Android 4.3 on Nexus 6 which comes with Lollipop preinstalled.
However, you should be able to use any 4.4.x ROM for I9300i on I9301i and vice-versa. Ofcourse, these ROMs need to be ported, cause there is something different in both phones even if it's not probably the chipset. Example of build.prop files.
You may also want to merge kernels using a program such as meld.
NEVER TRY TO FLASH AN ODIN PACKAGE FOR I9300I ON I9301I IT WILL EITHER FAIL OR BREAK YOUR DEVICE.
You can try CWM/TWRP ROMs after properly editing updater-script and build.prop file.

we hope so ^^
Well it's true that build.prop says msm8226...the case is same with my device too !
There are several device comes under msm8x26 branch - msm8226,msm8228,msm8926,msm8928 etc
The main difference in MSM8228 compared to msm8226 is the OpenGL ES 3.0 support you can check it with antutu !
And since it all uses msm8x26 branch the build.prop is also like that for overall compatibility with blobs and drivers !
Hope answered the doubt

Did you edit the build.prop?
It should look like this

Yes I did change the ones mentioned in initial post
I am on official AEX 4.6
There are 2 more lines in build.prop
Ro.product.model
Ro.aex.device
And there are some camera tweaks in there too:
persist.camera.imglib.fddsp=1
persist.camera.llc=1
persist.camera.llnoise=1
persist.camera.stats.test=0
camera.disable_zsl_mode=1
Do I have to change any of these too?

Changed that... and no, still not working
Do you or anyone else mind sharing your build.prop file here just for me to compare mine with?

Seemed to work before the buildprop changes took effect. After flashing the zip, I managed to take some photos, I edited b.p through kernel auditor and rebooted. Since, I get the following error when taking a picture with the back facing camera. I am able to shoot video and 5ake selfies though.
Pease advise, noob here, but seems like something that should be solvable.
I am on AEX 4.6 as well.
