[Q] Safe Mode - Fire TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I have a little problem with my ftv. I was playing Sev 0 when all of a sudden the screen went blank and started to flash some static/snowy images every few seconds. So I power cycled it and now when it comes up it shows safe mode in the lower left hand corner. Now I can't launch any apps and such but I can navigate around the menu. Anyone else experience this?
Edit:
Removed xbox controller dongle and unplugged it for awhile, power cycled it and all seems fine now. Must have over heated.

Broken Display?

ok so here is the rundown
Device: HTC one on vzw
Rom: Slimbean 2.x
Gapps: Slim AIO gapps
had a weird problem with the display today if anyone has had this or know someone who has i would greatly appreciate the help. I just flashed Slimbean 2.x last night and all was good. no problems what so ever, got everything setup and was working fine. this morning around 10am i opened snapchat to view a video. i clicked on the video and as soon as it started the screen went blank and would not turn on. i tried holding the power button down for at least a minute and nothing. also tried power and volume down, power and both volume buttons, power and volume up and still nothing seems to work. when i plug it into the wall charger the red LED light does not turn on and screen does not wake. when i plug it into the computer the computer does not ever read the device and noting pops up letting me browse the files on the phone. i have no clue why this happened it has been working fine for the 3 months that i've had it. took it to verizon about an hour ago and they didn't know either but they are sending me a replacement htc one. all i really want now are my photos that i have on the phone.
does anyone have any ideas about what i could do?
thanks
I had something similar and think it was conflict related. After installing the "advanced power menu" with xposed, I had an issue when trying to use it to boot into recovery. Basically it had timed out and then went away without rebooting. The next time I tried it locked up and my screen went black. My keys would light up if I clicked on the power button (it was dark in the room so the sensor was still working), but nothing else. Nothing I did would make the screen turn on at all and holding down the power key to reboot did not work. I just planned on letting the battery die out. After about 45 minutes, the phone just rebooted and everything was back to normal. I really think it locked up due to a conflict similar to what a PC might do.

[Q] Please help! Random power off won't boot!

Okay I will try to sum this up. My S3 was working fine and everything randomly I noticed issues with battery calibration It would be 100% then I would calibrate it and then unplug and then I'd instantly drop to 85%. Thought It was a battery issue and made a point to get a new one later. Then it kept working for another month or so then It started really screwing up the shutdown menu would randomly pop up and I'd back out of it.
Then randomly 3 seconds later the phone reboots. And it would keep doing that randomly I thought it might be a power button issue. Then as time goes on it got really bad to where it would simply reboot and not make it past the bootloader, It would not "reboot" more like a complete shutdown then I'd have to power it again and have it do the same thing. Seeing how I could not even make it past the bootloader I got a new battery, waited a week for it and then I put it in and the same issue happened. It would not get past the bootloader.
So I kept trying and trying and trying and it finally booted past that. And it stayed on for a whole night. I did everything on it I normally would and it was working great. Then the battery was getting low so I plug it in and was going to calibrate it after it was charged, I go back to it and it's dead again won't get past the bootloader once again. I'm completely out of ideas on how to fix this I pop'd off the button and blew in there and the button seems fine and everything still no change. I also can not get into recovery. It trys and loads but then shuts off. Anyway if anyone has any ideas on what this is or how to fix please help! I need my phone back! Thank you.
I'm running MOAR Lite version.
UPDATE: Took the phone apart and took a close look at the button it looks 100% fine...I saw a video on youtube that requires you to complete tear the button off and it works. But I don't know if the button is my main cause of this issue or if it will actually work. Some says it works, some says it does nothing...Please let me know thanks...
UPDATE 2: It will show that battery with spinning circle in it for like 1 second then turn off again. (When it is plugged in)
That's odd. But when it comes to the power button, dismantling and what not 90% of the time will show 0 issues. It will look perfectly fine when it's not. You playing with the power button I assume were pressing hard and normally to try testing it. It's a common issues on this version of the S3 to have faulty power button and you would need to get it repaired. Odly even slightly atmospheric changes can cause it to act different at different points. Some days it works fine, other days a very slight brushing over can cause it to screw up and trigger a manual shut down (holding for like 10 or 15 seconds).
Assuming that it is the power button, or to try, just do a variation of things to the power button itself. Use your finger nail to jiggle it around with different pressures. During boot if it shuts off, it could be the power button internally stuck, just jiggle it around.
This is all I can think of unless you bring it in to get repaired.
I was encountering the exact same problem. I would try to get into download mode and it would sit at the "Downloading" screen for about 5-7 seconds then the display would go blank. It won't make it into recovery either. Based on the above recommendation I took the whole phone apart and sprayed a lot of compressed air directly on the power button mechanism and the plastic case pressing the button in. I didn't see anything broken with the button when I did that.
It seems to be working now, I can boot into my Rom. Don't know how long this fix will last.

Moto 360 2nd Gen Screen mostly unresponsive/may not be charging

My Moto 360 is about 2 and a half years old. All of a sudden, the touch screen has mostly stopped responding. I can't get into Settings to power it down and see if that resolves the issue. I can sometimes get the top menu to pull down and once got into Settings using two fingers, then eventually to the Systems button, but couldn't get it to go to the Power Off. Sometime last week, I noticed that the watch wasn't going to the old dock face while on the charger. There was a tiny charging icon at the top, so I figured it was part of the latest update. The watch has been charging and working normally since then, up until today, that is. I'm not getting the little icon on the charger, but the charger light is going on. Haven't left the watch on the charger long enough to know if it's done any good.
Now, I can press the side button to get to the app list, but can't scroll through. I can't turn off an alarm. Holding the power button only gets me to the voice recognition system, which works, but I can't finish anything because I can't get the screen to respond. My MotoG 5gen phone seems to be triggering watch behavior all right.
Pretty much all of the suggestions that I found in my searches involve rebooting the watch. But I can't reboot because I can't get the watch to shut down. I tried disconnecting the Bluetooth from the phone. Haven't tried forgetting the watch just in case I can't connect again.
I have been having minor issues with the watch disconnecting from the phone if I've left the phone in one room while I do something in another part of the house. Can't say how often because I haven't been paying attention, but maybe once a week or less. I power one or both down and it's been fine.
Now what?

Amazon fire stick not loading

Hi, last night my fire stick was working fine and all of a sudden it reverted back to the home screen but wouldn’t load, it’s just a black screen with (search, home, your videos etc...) at the top of the screen and the 3 dot loading icon at the bottom. I’ve tried unplugging and plugging in, restarting the device but it’s still the same.
Can anyone shed any light?
Thanks.

Bricked phone- bad screen or motherboard?

Hi everyone,
I have an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Active SM-G891A that just became unresponsive. It began with a vertical pink line appearing and disappearing intermittently down the right side of the screen. After a few times if this happening, the phone froze while playing "Laser Overload," which I had just downloaded, for about 30 minutes. I performed a soft reset and the phone went into a boot loop that lasted 20 minutes or so- sometime it would make it to the AT&T screen and freeze, sometimes it wouldn't make it past the "Samsung Galaxy S7 Active" screen.
Finally, it booted up normally but was running slowly. I powered it down, thinking it may have been overheated, and left it alone for a few hours. Upon starting it back up, it worked fine for about 15 minutes but then froze once again. I performed another soft reset, but this time the screen stayed black- no image and unresponsive to touch, but with the top left LED indicator a steady blue. It stayed like this for an hour or so until I plugged it in; the screen did show the lightning bolt charginf icon but it took about 10 minutes for it to display the battery percentage (0%). The phone had 75% battery when it became unresponsive.
Once it had charged to about 15%, I booted it up (leaving it plugged in) and again it became stuck in a boot loop. I rebooted to the system menu (Home + volume up + power) and cleared the system cache in hope that this would resolve the issue, but again the boot loop. Finally, I performed a factory restore on the phone from the boot menu. This time, the phone booted to the AT&T screen before it froze with a horizontal line of static near the bottom of the screen. I soft reset it and the phone made it through the boot screens to a Wi-Fi login. I logged in to the network and the phone froze again, this time shutting down completely and is unresponsive to being plugged in- multiple cables and chargers being used. There is no top-left LED light when plugged in, and attempting to power on the phone using any method does nothing.
Is it possible that playing a game for a half hour was the final straw in killing a graphics processor? I hadn't used this phone for any thing graphics intensive and this game seems rather simple (2D only, no simulated camera, etc.), but it's a secondhand phone that I've had for a few months now. The phone had been dropped a few days ago- only about 2ft onto a rubber mat with no damage to the phone. Could this have caused it?
Is there any way to verify what the issue could be with the phone unresponsive as it is? Any help would be appreciated.
