Porting CM11S on Find 7? - Oppo Find 7 and 7a

Both phones are essentially made by Oppo and besides the screen size, the hardware is identical. How difficult would it be to port OnePlus One's OS over to the Find 7?

I was cruising by the OnePLUS one thread. they have a system dump now. someone even tried flashing it straight on to a Find 7a. Unfortunately the phone wouldn't go past the boot screen. hopefully it only need a few tweaks to get it working

Apparently, rayfin and m3dd0g got it to work on the 7a. m3dd0g wrote in the thread that he'd post the procedure in the Find 7 forum soon.

[REQ] Jolla Sailfish OS

Saw this on the main forum board of devices. Thought it would be cool to have on our devices as we seem to be picking up steam. I haven't the slightest clue to build anything so just wondering if there are any developers willing to take on a project like this. I'll post a video from YouTube for the OS Demo.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please look at this link. It is an article from Engadget with hands on video of this OS, and guess what??? It says the source code has been released to DEVS.

It's really cool how they expanded upon Microsoft's idea of live tiles and made it so you can interact with it! Will this be shipping on devices?
I'm not sure if it's even released yet, but the more vids I watch, the more I like it

You asked what android version does it work for, hence I said it's not android. There is no mention of it running a similar structure to android like firefoxOS, so if the hardware supports it, the android version won't matter at all.
The video says it might be premiered on Nokia first.
Looks like they opened a forum for this on XDA. Jolla Sailfish
To be totally honest with all, some will agree with and some wont, but i dont care how many ways you twist and turn it,ICS,JB and Sense is all the same, stacked side by side(i do mean the UI),all these new roms look the same but have different tweaks or a new theme,im guilty of it also,it continues to look all the same, thats why im gonna do some serious researching into this Sailfish OS and try to drop it on the EVO world,i think its time for a change, for us that have fallin behind.
It hasn't been released yet. There is actually a thread for it on XDA.

Change battery charge animation on N4

For one is it safe to change these. If it is I'm looking for some custom ones these are boring now if anyone has created a custom animation that fits the Nexus 4 screen resolution feel free to post it here I will try it out.

Ya. I found charging animation threads related to other devices. Mostly for Samsung's. Yes there is one for the Galaxy Nexus but the screen resolution is different so a modified one for the Galaxy Nexus would not exactly look right on my screen.

I don't like your tone or attitude. You should not expect help, especially if you don't have anything to offer the community. This is not high school and we are not your teachers.
Regardless, here are some threads and posts that might be relevant to you. I will presume you already have a method by which you directly replace images in the framework-res.apk.
Posts: one, two
Threads: one (don't use the apk, just look through for images you can inject into your ROM), two
Good luck... with everything.

[Q] When is VZW going to release the kernel?

That seems to be the question always with VZW. I am working on porting the AT&T one - and it is very close to building without errors. So hopefully I will have that soon (and it will work):fingers-crossed: until we get source.

Lol this is probably going to be the nicest reply in this thread. But you do know this is old news yeah? like weeks old. CM11 was merged for Find 7a and Find 7s.
Glad to see it working for you.

I think asked what I asked wrong. I meant more in the manner of.. does anyone think in the future months this device will receive the same attention as the 7 pro. The only reason I got the T over pro was I use snap chat alot and didn't know how well the moving camera would hold up.

I honestly think we would have a good amount of rom development because of the price of the phone and the specs you get for the price is pretty much unmatched. In some cases our phone is better than the 7 Pro.
I honestly wanted the Pixel 4 XL but once I saw the specs and the price I was like no way. Just have patience and I'm sure you'll be rewarded.

haha! The phone barely came out. Just wait. Official ROMs will come and then the developers will move to it and we'll have an abundance of custom roms you can pick from all day long.
This is a great phone so we don't have to worry about this

Android 10 has changed a lot with devices launched with it, so development such as TWRP will probably take some time.
However, kernels can be unified with the 7 Pro series, ElementalX has added test support for 7T series.

My 5T currently is running a custom Android 10 ROM which is perfectly stable, its amazing
