[5-22-14] $10 (1000 Coins) Free in Amazon Apps - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Themes and Apps

Congratulations if you caught the other deal I posted back on the 16th for the $20+ in free coins to use for apps in Amazon App Store.
Today is another one of those deals. This time for 1000 coins (which equals $10 worth). Just do like before and slide to the right of the FAOTD panel in the App Store. There are 5 free apps which gives 200 coins each. You can cancel install after download and still receive the coins.
*These free coins are for today only (5-22-2014)
And, if you missed out on the 2000 free coins from before it is still available. If you purchase GTA: San Andreas ($6.99) with those 1000 coins you just got it won't cost anything and you will get 2000 bonus coins for purchasing. This is $20 worth of coins. If you don't have a Kindle it will need to be purchased off the website. Link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...20&ascsubtag=4baa5fba9c7d4f9ea6faf89633495f6d
Enjoy. :good:

I definitely prefer to not use the Amazon Appstore for things, but this is a pretty good deal.
Note - these coins expire in 1 year, so make sure to buy something with them at some point!

Can you buy apps to us on your GS5 with these "coins" for example could I purchase ROM Toolbox Pro with em'?

Yes, you will just have to download the Amazon appstore onto your phone. However you can delete the store after you download and install an application from it, or greenify/freeze it with TiBu.
It's definitely easier to just purchase apps from your usual web browser though via Amazon, and then go install them as needed directly on your phone.
Edit: this reddit page has all of the direct links: http://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidGami..._1000_amazon_coins_instantly_completely_free/

Just did this and it worked! However the apps on Amazon app store are "ehhh". No ROM Toolbox Pro :/ hard to find good root apps.

Well the developers are the ones who determine if it goes on there, maybe a few of us should tweet him and ask him to put it in Amazon appstore as well?

I agree with you that the Amazon App Store really stinks compared to Google Play. I have $30+ in coins right now and can't find anything to buy. Games might be the best bet. Plex is a great app if you use it and is on sale again for $0.99. Root Explorer is on there which has been a great app for a long time. Kind of have to dig around to find things worth it.

San Andreas is not compatible with the s5 it says

The one on Amazon is made for the Kindle. But if you pay the 6.99 or use coins for it (via the web browser) you'll get $20 in amazon coins. I "bought" it on the web.

Yeah I bought it thru the Web but I can't download

OfficeSuite Pro 5 Free Today on Amazon AppStore

Just a head up for those that dont follow the free app of the day religiously. It retails in the market for $14.99. Pretty nice office document reader/editor.
It's a great deal, but I kinda feel bad for the devs. Doesn't Amazon not pay them anything when their app is free?
Sent from my T-mobile G2 using Tapatalk
It would be nice if I could take advantage of the offer but being in Canada doesn't help
Yeah, it would be so nice for Canadian users to get this app too!
Isnt there a work around for users outside the US to get Amazon Appstore to work? I remember hearing about it awhile back. If you really want the app I would search around for the work around.
If only it worked in uk

Getjar

This is probably well known, I found out about m.getjar.com, an alternative to Amazon in that you get access to paid apps for free!
Pro: apps such as Beautiful Widgets, Asphalt 6, Wikipedia, Smart Office, Image Shrink; no sign up needed
Con: no updates, less apps than Amazon...
Have fun with it, just gives a bit more variety in terms of the markets one can visit...
Cheers

Wikipedia is already free on the Android Market.

This. Getjar made a couple more popular apps free to try and draw in more people to using it.

GetJar is legit, but most often you'll find their app versions are well behind the official market and Amazon, and you get no updates. So, it's mediocre, at best.
someone pointed me @ ------.net lot's of payed apps for free

You'll probably want to delete that post. Sounds a lot like warez, which will bring the ban hammer down.

Applanet is definitely warez! It is illegal and devs will hate you for using it. Support the devs and buy your apps! Getjar is legit and like mentioned before most of the apps are older and updates are rare. It's a great avenue to try some paid apps before spending $ on them in the Market. Sometimes 15 minutes is just not enough.

Piracy is not tolerated here.thread reported

Piracy and Warez related links and discussion is strictly against XDA rules.
Anybody who wants to pirate games for free, need only to use their search engine. No reason to discuss such nonsense.
A lot of time and work goes into developing games and apps. And actually , the price is not much more than a McDonalds Quarter Pounder combo meal. So perhaps one can do their body a favor, Skip the "combo meal", and support the Developers
If you pay attention to the Play Store, many times they have a Sale on apps, sometimes for as little as 25 cents!!!!!

Just giving you guys a heads up with the FAOTD from amazon which is Angry Birds Star Wars 2. Along with this free app you get a $5 credit to the amazon app store and when you install the game you get 1000 in game credits for owning a Note 3.
Thanks

Running any Amazon app will not work without their store application installed, and if you check your battery life you will see that just having their apps running on your device whether you use them of not uses enough battery to trigger the alarm in better battery stats. I used to use their app on all my devices but now have just learned to buy them from the play store, in the long run it is much more economical and saves at least 12 percent of battery life per charge. I would not recommend any one using apps from Amazon unless you are so pressed that you cannot support the developer through google play store.
Never had they problem with their app or their apps running all the time. Just trying to spread the news, but it's over now. Sorry you have issues with Amazon.
I've never had any problems. But, FWIW, I Greenify the AppStore. I also think the handful of Amazon apps I use are Greenified
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
what is greenified?
Also...you still get $5 credit
I will only use them to get the $5 worth of apps...then back to the google play store
I got the 5 credit, but can't seem to be able to use it. Also I didn't get the 1000 credit on the game.

Your post says 5 apps, but it's actually 9 apps, and each gives you 100 Amazon coins. Nice surprise! Now I have almost $30 in Amazon coins. How I wish they had the same apps as in the Play store. It's difficult for me to find apps that I would bother getting from the Amazon Appstore, even if they aren't costing me anything.
I must of missed it prices are back up ?
