[ROM][ICS][STOCK] sediROM - non-dev discussion thread - Samsung Captivate Glide

.
.
.
sediROM - or why I created a new ROM based on the good old ("ancient") ICS
.
.
.
Long story short. The following list are my requirements to a custom ROM:
I need my phone everyday so I need to resist that it is working everyday (means rock stable).
I do NOT need the latest available Android version.
I WANT to have the other components (like Kernel etc) up to date.
I REALLY REALLY need headset profiles for my bluetooth devices (Jabra, Nokia and Plantronics)
I need root access, of course.
I want to get the best battery life possible.
GB is too old for me.
Stock ROM is "too stock" for me.
I have tried all available captivate ROMs starting from ICS over Jelly Bean to KitKat.
Android < v4.x are too old for my requirements. Several features missing and well it even LOOKS old..
Android >= v4.1 are working well with the Glide but there is 1 main killer function which is completely broken since Android 4.1: Bluetooth Headset Profiles
(The Bluetooth stack was completely re-developed in 4.1)
The version which is the best compromise of beeing fresh enough - but working like a charm is Android v4.0.4 (ICS)
The problem is.. there is no ICS based ROM out there which completely fullfill ALL my requirements.
So I thought it is time for me to create my own daily-use feature-complete and rock stable ROM for the Samsung Captivate Glide / SGH - I927..
IMO the best working and best battery saving ROM for the Glide is PACMAN ROM (used pac_i927-milestone.1.RC1.4.zip)!
The problem: the earliest version of it is based on Android 4.1 which is a No-Go for me because of Bluetooth HSP.
--> I recommend the mentioned version of PACman as your daily driver if you do NOT need BT HSP. I had it running several weeks without any problems but really great battery saving.
.. well that said I couldn't fork PACman ..
So I've downgraded to all available ICS based ROM again (which was VERY painful because of broken links to the apps because of different mount point names etc).
I have tried those all again (IcePOP, Cranium, Stock, DMans ICS, etc.) but no was "as good as" LiteROM (IMHO) - which I used several weeks before.
.. so +1 for forking LiteROM ...
The problem with LiteROM is that there are still issues and no further development is done on it.
Some of the major LiteROM issues for me (those are also the reasons why I first tried newer Android versions):
It looses the paired devices after a reboot ! (but that sounded to me like it can be fixed somehow)
The lags/waits when pressing the power button to switch the display on
Battery life is not the best
not the latest Kernel
many little things in the installer like it re-installs everything when only switching to another modem etc.
Nevertheless LiteROM is still the best base I can get (because it fits to my requirements best and is rock stable) and therefore I started in May 2014 the build of sediROM which is a fork of LiteROM v0.9.
UPDATE:
sediROM is officially available and have tons of fixes and enhancements inside. Check it out in the DEV thread:

what kernel do you use? Stock or litekernel?
Replacing kernel is very easy.
No documentation for BT sound, I dont think anybody would fix it. I've tried to find dev to find alsa HAL ( that is for voip sound fix), and no luck, while fixing alsa much more easier then fix BT sound.
Somebody tried to port cm10, it has many issue, you can find that topic in dev forum.

The idea for sediROM is to have a very well tested setup of default settings (like which kernel, etc.) but the free choice to modify it later whenever you like it.

Well not 1 only ... there are 4 available atm (and more when I find them and find them good enough...) (while using LiteKernel v1.2.2 as default atm - but you have the free choice)
Stock Kernel
LiteKernel v4.0 OverClocked and without UnderVoltage
LiteKernel v1.2.2 GPU not OverClocked and with UnderVoltage
LiteKernel v1.2.2 GPU OverClocked and with UnderVoltage
I tried with the ardatdat 4.x Kernels, too but without success.

Well yes and nowhere such comfortable as in sediROM You can choose one of the above within the aroma installer. The same for several Modems which coming with LiteROM already (nice for testing around).

BT sound? Do you have any issues here? For me BT sound itself is working great (using it daily in my car)?! But you talked about voip - is your problem skype related?

would you point to sediROM? I couldnt find anything with google.
I dont know what is litekernel v4, I tought the last one was 2.x or less.
Litkernel has many power save improve, but it has many bugs too,
You have said already headset doesnt work, or does it work? I'm confused.

Oh no I said Bluetooth is generally working fine in Android v4.0 and therefore in sediROM / LiteROM but not in other ROMs which are based on Android 4.1 or higher
--> The only thing which are not perfect in v4.0 (or especially in LiteROM) is that Bluetooth Pairing are lost after rebooting.
--> ... and that is fixed in sediROM

Smashing! I have been roaming around for something like this! Bloody awesome! Let me know when you have the download link ready! I will be glad to test it, and if it is stable as stock ICS I will definitely keep it as my DD! Thanks in advance for this! If you say it is indeed a fork for LiteROM with no bugs it will be the s#$)!!! And of course a keeper. Same as you, I´ve tried almost every ROM available for our cappy, but never totally satisfied with none. :fingers-crossed: Hoping this ROM is what I have been looking for. What exactly did you fix, aside from the pairing issues? Any luck with the automatic toggles, Force close issues, deep sleep power button.... :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Man gimme more details! Freakin excited here :silly: jue jue jue jue

whooa keep calm my friend
as said I try to solve all the problems I saw in my case and that's what I fixed. If that fixes all yours.. - I don't know
The thing which sounds interesting to me is that you talk about automatic toggles and force closes.
I never seen automatic toggles and force closes but it may be because I use another Kernel. Well we will see when you have tried it .
I cannot promise it is bug free (in this early state of this ROM there is at least 1 known bug - to be honest) but I may can help to fix things..
Rest and details coming soon...

I'd definitely be interested in testing your ROM. Your idea is more or less what I wanted for my i927. Hope to be able to try it soon.

xdajog quick question mate, which Kernel have you been using so far? Stock Kernel, Litekernel (version)?

I remember lite kernel causes battery drain in ics

Exactly, that is why I would like to know which kernel would be recommended Never tried liteRoM with stock kernel

Will be fun to test out. I mostly stick to CM11 but I like to try out others often.

Well that point is not totally fixed yet. I'm currently using Litekernel 1.2.2 in the not-overclocked version but also played around with the others - even Stock of course. That said I cannot say that I've found a perfect kernel (grakernel may the one but it is for JB and higher only ) and still testing others.
So the short answer is that there are not such differences between them when it comes to battery drain (see my post in the dev because that's one of the open points yet)
... and only to ensure that we have all the same understanding: sediROM is my experiment to go to / to get / to become the perfect stable but actual ROM for the Glide. It is "on it's way" you now
For becoming that I need feedback of course and I believe there will be many things I may not seen/use like you do so don't expect something "perfect"

You are really miss the point.
4.0 means android version not kernel version.
The litekernel package includes a boot image, that boot.img include kernel, ramdisk.
Ramdisk is the root on your android. Litekernel has some ramdisk modification too ( https://github.com/thegreatergood/LiteKernel---Glide/tree/master/Build4.2/ramdisk/sbin/ext https://github.com/thegreatergood/L...ster/Build4.2/ramdisk/sbin/LiteKernel_Manager )
Grakernel should work with any rom, it doesnt change ramdisk, just replace kernel and install modules to /system/lib/modules. I think modules in you rom is in /lib/modules on ramdisk, so you need to change my install script to modify ramdisk.

oh I'm quite new in that and a little disappointed now :crying: Well kernel v1.x is not for Android 1.x so .. in a perfect world the version naming would be everytime the same.. so everyone would know what it means... So I it may be the same as one of the 1.x LiteKernels available.

Hm so you say replacing the kernel, adding the modules and it should work?
I've tried that already but without success (booting but display keeps black with some green pixels ..)
As I can see in your link the Litekernel mods are note relevant for functioning or am I wrong? They seem to do some power saving stuff nothing else?

Litekernel has 2 version string, one from the build version and one from android version. Litekernel has some power save codes, it cases that deep sleep issue IMHO.
Did you download kernel from i9103 forum or mine from http://dualhoki.vim.hu/bubor/dev/grakernel/ ? Sound like you have i9103 version.

I want to give a try

i am very very very interrested in your ROM!
The BT-Headset function is very important for me, because for my car hifi handsfree bluetooth mode.

Battery Life
Since we are on the topic of battery life... does KitKat have the best battery life, or should I be using something else?

[Kernel] .29 Alpha for Cyanogenmod 5 Based ROMs 【aHero】 - For the Impatient
Here's a quick and dirty kernel compile with bluetooth and SetCPU OC both working for this ROM (and any Cyanogenmod based Hero ROM really). Should not be overclocking on boot.
Uses koush anykernel format to make it compatible for any CM based ROM.
I don't plan to update this. I had no intentions of making a Hero kernel so I probably wont be updating this. It was kind of an accident. I don't even have a GSM Hero. Anyways flash and enjoy! Devs can take what I did on my .config and make it good. There's some weird stuff in it.
If this eats your phone please do not hunt me down.

I copied the netfilter options too. If someone can try to see if Wifi-tether works that would be awesome.
So apparently my kernel boots this aHero and fixes bluetooth. It's a .29 kernel based on the new source code.
Mind you that I might be missing some things. I took around 20 minutes comparing the existing .config and making one that is more similar to the Cyanogenmod .config by eyeballing differences and copying pasting code (yes really). I got really lazy toward the end because the .config was so damn long.
I at least enabled squashfs so the .sqf files decompress for sure now. Set localversion to cyanogenmod. You can see what I did to it in the download link as well, where I have a pastebin of what I did before I disabled perflock.
I also disabled a crap load of debug options that were enabled for some reason.

Does it need a wipe and reflash first, or should it be ok to try over current CM ROM ( Vanillain 3.0 test version) ?

Heh, awesome.
Be advised that this sometimes freezes randomly, that's the only bug I can see so far. Especially during going from and to sleep. That's the only issue that needs to be resolved. Apart from that, everything seems to work.

[KERNEL][I9000B] Semaphore JB 3.0 (I9000-B only)

This is stratosk's Semaphore JB kernel compiled for the GT-I9000B (Latin america variant of the I9000). Stratosk doesn't support this variant, so cronot tweaked the build to make this excellent kernel work for the I9000B variant. He now moved on to another phone so he has stopped working on this build, but not before handing it over to me - so I will now be building this kernel, at least for as long as stratosk does
With that said, here comes the disclaimer: By flashing this kernel, you accept that it comes without any support, neither mine and even less so from stratosk, since he doesn't support this variant on his own releases. So please don't bother him with support questions regarding this specific build. IOW: you'll use this kernel at your own risk.
There were reports of data loss during testing on early builds of the 2.8.x (kernel for Android 4.2) series - there were no more bad reports on later versions, but this needs to be said: Always do a nandroid backup before installing or updating any of the kernels posted here. I won't be held responsible if you lose data while using these kernels!
I *may* be able to help depending on whatever problems you might have, but don't expect timely answers, or any answers at all if I'm not technically able to figure out your problem - I'm a beginner on kernel development, all I did with this really was just some slight tunings and then recompile it for the I9000B. Also, I'm doing this on my free time, which is not much these days, so for now I'm just going to focus on following stratosk builds and recompile them for the I9000B as they come. I can say though, as far as problems, I don't have any with it on my device - it works fine and fast for me.
Now, on to the goodness:
This kernel is exactly the same as stratosk builds (hence, the exact same features and changelogs, including compiler versions and configuration), but with the following modifications:
Swap enabled;
ZRAM enabled as module (To configure it (on CM10), go into Settings / Performance / Memory Management);
KSM support enabled (Disabled on system by default, to enable it (on CM10), go into Settings / Performance / Memory Management)
Note about build version 2.7.0
Stratosk is no longer maintaining the 2.6.x builds that are meant for Android 4.1. But cronot was using Android 4.1 before he sold his SGS, and looking at some of the latest 2.9.0 features he felt like having some of its features on the 2.6.x builds, and so he did it. Since there are quite some important changes he thought it would be better to bump the version number to 2.7.0. Do note though that I provide this kernel here only as a convenience, I won't be supporting this version because I'll be compiling, testing and using only the kernels for Android 4.2, like stratosk does.
The 2.7.0 build contains the following cherry-picks from 2.9.0:
Reduce number of frame buffers for more RAM (on my ex-SGS I'm now at 383Mb, up from 377Mb);
Updated Interactive governor;
ROW I/O Scheduler
Known issues
None, as far as I know - feedback is always welcome!
What works
Everything, as far as I could see.
Usage
Just flash it on CWM like any other kernel. Normal version and 's' version are provided just like on stratosk's release. Use the Semaphore Manager app on Google Play, from stratosk, to setup the kernel features.
All instructions and documentation from stratosk's original Semaphore kernel applies to this one, so look into his own thread for more information.

Thanks
To stratosk, of course, for his awesome work on his kernel, and for letting me post this here for I9000-B users;

Sorry, I don't want to bother you, each phone is different.
By the way I'm using CM10.1 (20130124), I'll try again.
EDIT: I saw this on the Semaphore thread...
Please note that there are 2 variations:
Normal versions: for CM10 or ROMs without hugemem configuration, available RAM 384MB - 396MB
's' versions: for Slim Bean ROM or patched ROMs with hugemem configuration, available RAM 397MB - 409MB
So, I'm using the normal version and everything works fine
PS: can I use the default CM10.1 performance menu or this kernel uses the Semaphore manager only ?

[7 FEB 2013][KERNEL 2.6.32][CM10]New kernel for use with extended battery

I created a kernel for use with unknown extended batteries.
I only used a kernel with this modifications for about 24 hours, so it is still alpha.
I used it myself only on the JellyTime HD2 V.2 DataOnExt version, but the kernel is much like the latest tytung version, and you should be able to use it with any ROM that uses the tytung kernel
It is based on the https://github.com/cmhtcleo/android_kernel_cmhtcleo/tree/jellybean, and I changed the code, so I was able to force a battery capacity by an external parameter.
The current ZIP file uses an aroma installer, which will ask you for the battery capacity, possible values are normal, 1700, 2000, 2300 and 2600 mAh. It modifies the kernel commandline.
This will only work when you use a cLK bootloader (this is a issue of the used installer script, not of the kernel)
When you are not using the cLK bootloader, you can still use this kernel, but you have to change a kernel parameter after each boot (It should be possible from rc files) using a script that says (as root):
Code:
echo 2300 > /sys/module/ds2746_param/parameters/full_charge
After you installed this kernel, using a value for battery different from 'normal' please do the following steps:
Initialize the battery from recovery.
Discharge the battery until below 5% (I used a program fast discharge, from the market)
Charge the battery.
Turn off your phone, remove battery and reinsert battery
Turn on your phone, and start using it.
Now your reading should be more or less ok.
After 3 charge/discharge cycles, it should be optimal calibrated.
when you want to report any issue, please give the following information:
What kernel did you use previous?
From a terminal (or adb shell), logged in as root, give the result of the following commands:
Code:
cat /proc/cmdline
cat /sys/module/ds2746_param/parameters/full_charge
cat /sys/devices/platform/htc_battery/power_supply/battery/batt_attr_ext
known problems:
*modifies only kernel commandline options using cLK.
*Installer has only fixed values
*I do not expect that you can use this installer to use on SD based bootloader (The kernel however will work)
*???
todo:
Adapt the installer script to be able to use it with other bootloaders
Make it usable for CM10.1
The source code of this kernel is available at:
https://github.com/de-wolff/android_kernel_cmhtcleo in the branche jellybean.
Progress update
I use this kernel now for about 40 hours.
I did a fast discharge two times, and charged it again two times.
Now it is 13 hours running on the battery, and it says it has still 90% power available. In the past, it was running in 18 hours to 15% and stayed at that level for several days.
Until now, I did not find anything not working
wifi ok,
3G data ok,
phone ok,
sms ok,
sound (spotify) ok,
nice idea....I will backort it to my kernel if it proves stable

In the first post is a link to the total kernel sources, that I placed on github.
If you like, you can do anything you like with it.
However, I there is a good change, I will make more modifications to this kernel in the future, so if you are interested in a particular feature, read the comment with the commits.
Kernel for jelley bean 4.2
your kernel is great.
but mobiel data connection is a little bit unstable and not so fast.
this rom has the most stable and fastest mobile-Connection, look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2098722
can you adjust your kernel in order to improve mobile data stability and mobile data speed like the in the rom above?
would you mind if you create a kernel for jelly bean 4.2.?
all the other rom cookers for jb 4.2 have the problem that wifi-connection is not working.
thats because of a problem with the jb 4.1.2 - kernels.
here on xda no one created a kernel that is working 100% with jb 4.2.
can you do that?

Thanks for your feedback.
I will look what is the difference between my kernel, and their kernel, to fix the mobile connection.
My goal (at this moment) is to get a working jb 4.2 kernel for myself, however i do not have much experience with android kernels (i have with other linux kernels), and i also don't have much spare time, to spent on this project, so it will take some time.

And for your new 4.2-kernel this is the 4.2-rom that needs a new kernel especially made for 4.2.-roms....:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36656612
You are doing a great job. Thank you man!
For information:
The rom that i mentioned is a little bit laggy when you are starting apps, activating menus and so on..... But compared to all the other roms here on xda it definitely hast the fastest and most stable mobile data connection.
But i dont know the reason why.... It is using tytungs kernel...... But the combination of the rom with tytungs kernel might be the reason...
Just saying,
You should use tytung's repository directly, We mostly use the kernel repo to send patches to tytung so everything is in one central place instead of distributed repositories with each having something different.
test the kernal thanks for greet work
test the kernal thanks for greet work
Good job
Thanks for your work.
Seems to work well with Pixel Droid version.
Can you tell me if your kernel will increase battery in the case of a standard battery.
Thank you.
@jejemorg:
When using this kernel with a standard battery, and use the installer saying it is a normal battery, the battery behaviour is not modified at all.
If you use a normal battery, and say in the installer, you have a 2300 mAh battery, you will observe your battery will is never more then ~ 50% full, and you will not be able to charge it full, so it will not increase the battery live of a normal battery.
However, during my experiments, I noticed another way to really get the battery capicity of a fully charged battery, without knowing it before. In the future, I want to do more investigations with this, and I also expect that it is possible to use the maximum capicity of each battery this way, which could be slightly more then the standard capicity for standard batteries. Maybe, I will work on this in the future, but at this moment, I first try to get a full 4.2 android version compiled, to do more investigations to the wifi problem.

Hi @de-wolff
Thanks for your kernel and your work for all of us. I have a question, i use this battery:
http://www.obostore.com/1600mah-and...ch-hd2-leo-tmobile-hd2-p-28.html#.USDoVJY2WJQ
any chance add in option with aroma installer . Regards
@yunhover: Sorry, it will only work for jellybean (CM10.0 + CM10.1) roms. The CyanMobile eXperience 2.3.8 is CM7. I will put that information in the first post. If there are enough people who want to use a different extended battery for CM7 or CM9, I am willling to backport this change to kernels, which are appropiate for that.
@nqkoidrug: For 1600mAh you can use the 1700mAh selection. As long as the difference is not to big (max ~ 300mAh), it should work. After a few charge discharge cycles, it should be accurate.
Thx that u still develop for the great HD2.
Will buy the LEICKE Akku 2300mAh in a few days, i luv the Dorimanx Kenel. u think its possible to port ur settings into it? Based on Tytung ICS so it should be not so difficult. i would do it on my own but im not an developer.
I stay on 2.3.x till 4.x.x gets the performance and less drain that i want

[DDK 1.9] OmniROM DDK 1.9 Test Version

Introduction
This is a test version of OmniROM with SGX DDK 1.9 graphics drivers, as well as many OMAP-related kernel updates. No, this isn't 3.4, but a LOT of TI updates were packed into the kernel. Currently, this is only for maguro, but anyone can build it for toro/toroplus with the sources.

Features
The ROM and the kernel has a stock feeling - no mods were added.
Most notable new features:
- SGX DDK [email protected]
- GPU governor
- Enabled 384 MHz GPU frequency (as a part of the OMAP updates)
- Tons of background changes for the kernel

Important notes
Camera and OMX is not working yet! This turned out to be a harder task for me to fix than implementing the new GPU drivers...
Other bugs are not known yet, but there may be some! Bug reports are welcome.
Thanks to everyone who helped me, especially Hashcode, as I used his repos as an example on how to set up things properly.

FAQ
How can I install this?
Just flash the ROM zip (and optionally GAPPS), and you're done.
Can I install this on top of Omni roms?
Yes, you should be able to do so without data loss.
Can I revert to non-1.9 Omni after this without data loss?
Yes.
Is this faster than the current ROMs/kernels?
As this is a stock-like ROM and kernel, not necessarily - there are no optimizations, etc added.
However, if one adds the optimizations used on current custom roms and kernels, this should be faster than them.
Can I install another kernel?
No, the new drivers require the ROM and the kernel side to match each other. Only this combination will work.
When will you fix camera?
I'm trying, but I don't have much success...
Can I help?
Sure, I appreciate any help, as I'm running out of ideas on how to fix camera and OMX.
Can I build this stuff myself?
Of course - everything needed is on my github. You'll need the following repos added to your Omni sources:
omni_android_device_samsung_tuna
omap (newpvr2 branch)
proprietary_vendor_samsung_tuna

Amazing! I will try out tommorow
I've installed it and it feels smooth, I've not encountered any bugs yet. Have you tried removing "kitkat workarounds" from frameworks/native?
Thanks for your awesome work
Nice work! Seems a lot more responsive although it may be placebo effect.
Thanks for posting this, I'm going to try building for toroplus, since we seem to get left out of the excitement so often. My internet connection is slow and so is my computer, so you will probably have everything fixed before I get a chance to even look for bugs.
Great work! I hope you manage to get camera working soon.
Amazing work bro, wishing u best of luck !!
I'm on F2Fs otherwise would have tested this asap...
Awesome work!
Thanks for the amazing work you've brought to the gnex, but since i'm on F2FS i was wondering if you could make a F2FS compatible version of this rom?

Yeah, but the glitches are still there. Actually, that may be a bug in android itself (it affects a lot of devices), they may have fixed it on L... and those workarounds are really not important, as the problem only comes when taking screenshots. And since android takes screenshots for the rotation animation, etc, those glitches appear there as well. The workarounds just force it to take screenshots on CPU-path, they don't change anything else.
I think they fixed it in DDK 1.12 (which is the next version after 1.9), but that's another story, as I think it does not support our GPU (but it may in the future).

[ROM] 6045-ELUGA-DCZ - stock, oc kernel, gapps, root - 1.1

**************************************************
[ROM] 6045-ELUGA-DCZ
current version 1.1 (2016-03-24)
STOCK, STABLE, ROOT, GAPPS
**************************************************
-I made it just for fun...
-it is not exactly a build. Its more a mod.
-based on latest PANASONIC ELUGA SWITCH (IDOL3 rebranded device) firmware (EB-90S55EWLv1009)
-I exchanged the kernel for the ARDE DEV TEAM STOCK OC one (4x1651 MHz + 4x1601 MHz).I used Group 1 kernel for my 6045Y device.
-including ROOT and GAPPS (latest supersu 2.65)
-added KERNEL ADIUTOR
-removed all unnecessary apps from TCL, PANASONIC and GOOGLE. There is only the necessary basic to run the phone. All other things you can download by yourself. So the ROM is about 900 MB on size.
-Due to source is the avaliable set of languages shrinken to see screenshots. But More Locale 2 app (preinstalled, but removable) will do the trick for you on most apps (except settings).
GUIDE:
-go to TWRP recovery (please make sure you use the @Unjustified Dev version from here
-wipe chache/dalvik/system/data
-install ROM
-If you are on 6045I or 6045K you have to download ad flash at this point the GROUP 2 OC Kernel from the htcmania.com site (see link below)
-wipe chache/dalvik/ (to be sure)
-reboot
DOWNLOAD:
From my google disk (size aprox 900 MB)
Here are all Kernels from ARDE DEV TEAM and the 6045I stock (6045Y stock, 6045Y OC , 6045I OC and 6045I stock)
ISSUES:
I dont know of any, you tell me.
changelog in 1.1 build (2016-03-24)
-just initial build..all as it is on stock, except kernel
CREDITS:
BIG thnax to @franq36 and @acura2201 of ARDE DEV Team for the Kernel, also thank @Grarak for the Kernel Adiutor.
Also Thanx to @Unjustified Dev, @famewolf, @Marionette and all the others who are making a great work for our device.
There is the link to the HTCMania.com KERNEL thread (Spanish)
And of course i am not responsible for any damage you do by flashing this on your device!
please wait amoment..my upload is slooow
nice i will test it

i think it will be the same like i806...very little people will buy it. In china you can see even on TCL brand many users, many ports and many devs. On I806 there is only one dev in china.
I tried this out of curiosity, it didn't go so well... It freezes, screen shuts off then I have to restart it. Other then the freezing it looked pretty good, and I thought the Boot animation was funny on this phone.

its running on arde dev oc kernel.. try to flash stock kernel. my cpu is capable to maintain the oc frequencies so i had no issues with that. Except the lags that are also on stock firmware on idol3.
I can hold oc on the other roms tho, that's what I've been using for a few days.(and running right now) but I'll try it when I get a chance to see.

Hi DallasCZ,
Love the work you've done. Very efficient and usable, but I do have a stupid question: In regards of performance would you consider this more preferable in comparison to your 6045-i806-DCZ rom?
Also you state that 6045I users need to flash the GROUP 2 OC Kernel from htcmania.com and I assume this is the Nuevoboot_Alcatel_V1_6045I,6045K.img in your google drive as there no longer is a link to htcmania.com but I'd like your confirmation before I commit to this action.
Thank you for all the work you've put into this community!

hello DCZ i would like to thank you for your work, it is from far the best rom i've tried everythig is working perfectly, good performance and good battery life too with the advanced interative gov settings, really it's the best, all the stock stuff that we love about our phone, smooth (not the launcher still need of nova or else),no bugs no random reboot, lighter than the stock rom and with all the languages and the playstore as well. I definitely recommend this rom for those who want to have the best expereience with the Idol 3 6045 and the most stable. The only thing that i miss is the cyanogen theme application which is awsome and all the cyanogen ringtones alarms and notifications sounds but maybe someone can do something about it one day . Once again THANK YOU!!!!!
