Amzer Back case causing damage to my black nexus 5 - Nexus 5 Accessories

I am using Amzer back Tpu pudding case for my nexus 5 black, yesterday when i removed my case for cleaning the phone i found that there is mark which is in the image below. Actully there are around 7 like this and i think it is caused by the case when dust is trapped and due to the presure when i wear sometimes a tight jeans it causes this.
Is there any one who us having this issue?

This kinda thing will happen with most of the cases. Soft TPU material or not, over a period of time there will be lint stuck under it which will scratch the back plate! It can't be helped. The corners of the device are also prone to scratches when using cases.

That's one of the reasons why I use pouches. I bought a handmade one few weeks ago and I'm loving it!
When the phone goes to my pocket, it's in the pouch so that it doesn't get scratched and when it's out, I use it naked.
However, if you're clumsy and tend to drop your phone, pouches aren't for you.

I am very carefull with my device. I do not keep my device on any hard surface. Accident's can happen thats why i was using the back cover. Jeans pockets are soft they wont scratch my Nexus 5. From now on only scratch gaurd would be used nothing else. Pouch would be difficult for me in keeping inside and taking out the phone every time. And thanks for replying:good:

kickstand case??

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8091859&postcount=4
can anyone tell me if this case will work with the vibrant. if not, where can i find a kickstand case, other than the bodyglove brand.
Bodyglove has a cool case that has a kickstand. It's around 20-25
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
i have both the black mesh kickstand as well as the bodyglove. they both fit and work. the mesh kickstand may not be the top choice of some vibrant owners because it does not protect/cover the borders of the front glass/face of the vibrant as most cases do. i've had problems with the bodyglove case as it appears to be scratching the back case of my vibrant. i had the same exact issue on bodyglove case with kickstand on my hd2.
.
i let my sister have my bodyglove case. i actually didn't have a problem with the weaknesses of the black mesh case since the makers of it actually put some soft padding within the case to prevent scratches on the battery/back cover of the vibrant.

I think that seller was selling 3 diff colors; black, white, and pink(?). I bought the black one 3 wks ago and recieved it about a wk ago. Initially, I thought that it was going to be shiny hard plastic case but to my pleasant surprise, it wasn't. The exterior is covered in a thin layer of hard rubber, covering the black hard shiny plastic underneath, while the inside of it is slightly padded. It looks a lot better in person than in pics.
Is the kickstand serving its purpose? Hell yea, it is...it makes watching movies on my dope SAMOLED screen that much more awesome The hard rubber makes for a good grip so it won't easily slip out of your palms like it sometimes would w/out it and it gives the phone an overall slick/cool (IMO) look. The only downside so far is that I'm getting some very small worn out spots where the hard rubber has rubbed off but it's not a big deal though.
Pics or it didn't happen, you say? Well, check 'em out !

diztronic clear tpu case

so the diztronic cases are amazing. they are really great and fit perfect and are cheap ($10) ETC. but i found that they yellow incredibly fast. first it was the sides then my entire phone....
its everyday use. have it in my jean pocket and take it out. thats it! its crazy. it reminds me of the jordan shoes with the clear soles back in the day where the soles yellow naturally bc the material comes in contact with oxygen, causing yellowing.

Just out of interest would leaving it in bleach clear the yellow-ness.
I don't use tpu cases - tend to go for polycarbonate cases.

back was matte clear

So my friend dropped his S3 in a INCIPIO twice today..

My friend was really obsessed with putting his phone on a bike mount he kind of setup himself, and he had a couple of growing pains where the assembly that it was clipped two fell off the bike TWICE today.. He has the same INCIPIO case that I do. Anyways I thought i'd post all these pictures for anyone considering the case or anyone just wondering how certain cases hold up to certain things.. Now again it had half the mount still attached to the phone when it fell which probably added a little extra weight and each time it fell it landed on a different corner. The cases corners appears to have cracked so it did its job, but on one corner (not sure if it was the first fall or second fall) the phone does appear to have formed some hairline cracks in the corner of the phone (why they didnt make that small band around this phone metal is beyond me!)
You can barely see them but they are there.. His screen was still fine (thast what matters) and the phone stil functinos perfectly, so thats a testament to the case i'm sure, but I'm already looking at some others.. without further ado, here are the pics.

Screen is fine tho
and that is why we use cases. better to break a cheap case, than a 600 dollar phone.

Episode 4: Torture testing the Samsung Galaxy S3:
http://cnettv.cnet.com/episode-4-to...-1_53-50127620.html?tag=api?tag=mobile_social
Three drops without a case, and S3 keeps on ticking (on top of freezing, heat, dunk in water tests.)
Third test was a 7~8 foot drop (again with no case) and it survived.

Case did its job, but get a case for drop protection make sure it can be reused in the same situation again. Otterbox defender, trident kraken, ballistic sg maxx.
I have the kraken and dropped it a dozen times and tossed out at people (who can't catch), case and phone still look brand new.
Sent from Pluto.
doesnt exactly bode well for the case
if 2 drops damaged the case pretty badly and still managed to damage the phone then I wouldnt trust it anymore
time for an otterbox defender

[Q] What case are you getting for the One???

I really wanted the Black, but everywhere that I've called say that they only have the silver.
Anyways, what case will you be rocking?
I chose the Seidio Surface case for light use and the Seidio Active w/ kickstand for heavier duty.
this is the first phone I'll primarily be using naked, so I got this as a quick case to put on and off depending on the situation, along with a mime ghost glass tempered glass screen protector

I'd like something thin and clear to show off it's style but I'm bad about dropping my phone. Ideally I'd like something like the old invisishield that's just a layer over the screen and back but also covers all the edges. Any suggestions?
Incipio Dual Pro Shine Silver / Black

Really like it so far. Fits the phone well. The only quarrel I have is that the screen on/off button is hard to hit right, but muscle memory will make it easier in the future.
Urban Armor for me!
Otter Box Commuter series case has never failed me before.
Speck GemShell
I had to cut slits on the sides of the volume buttons though to make it easier to press. Poor design.

Diztronic TPU
I ordered the goospery slim, avoid it. Not only is the fit garbage but they put a sticker inside the case that has been impossible to remove in one piece.
I got the Verizon brand..."high gloss silicone" cover...
I have this case: amazon.com/Poetic-Palette-Premium
Its very minimalistic and feels very soft. Only $8 but I would have paid double.

I got the Tri-colored double dip official HTC case A lot of people complained about it scratching the phone but mine is unscatched. I just got my phone a few hours ago.
Definitely an Otterbox, most likely the Commuter.
i just like simple ones haha
HTCs own double dip flip.

Otter. Ugly as hell, but without a doubt offers the best drop protection.

Otterbox Defender for note 2 It makes your phone nearly 3 times as thick as without case but best protection by far.

Note is extremely fragile. i dropped mine and teh plastic got a little bit crocked. I now have otterbox commuter on it and have dropped a few time but the phone survived without any issue. I did not go with the defender becasue it's too bulky.
I use the official Protective Cover + from Samsung and I love it. It protects your phone from drops, and it doesnt make your phone look like an ugly brick.

The most important thing is to have "edge" covered. I dropped countess time and my Note II still survive (touch wood...). I got this one from Amazon. Good protection and pretty good looking. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009WECO18/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

I like the clip & stand feature of the defender it is great for use in the car or on a bus you can clip it to bag or something & watch video hands free.
