I need some serious help:angel:
my htc desire 816 stuck at boot screen(htc screen), I already try to restart with press power button+vol up. But it didn't work.
My device back to stuck at boot screen again.
2 days ago I got notification from HTC on my device for update software.
I follow the instructions, download then install. success.
Now, this morning. Just wake up and found my device hang at boot screen.
I create new thread coz I can't find this situation in this forum yet.
Please anyone kindly help my situation.

then I charge until 6 hour. and now my phone totally dead.

SOrry to know about your loss. Is your phone unlocked and rooted by any chance? If so then there are some alternatives. If not, it is much better to check with HTC support so that they will get you fresh installation if it is still under warranty. All the best.

I experienced it when I freeze user interface of HTC. It is HTC blink. When I defrost is my phone started.
To do this, I first removed SIM and microsd and re-plug them. Then from settings panel at the right top, I found Rom Toolbox and defrosted apps.
How did u resolve it?

hey, check for RUU for your varient. If available flash stock RUU.
Android 5.0 is very different than 4.4, I suggest you to perform a factory reset on your phone from hboot.
Press power + vol down buttons to enter in hboot
Same problem. Phone has boot loop and not enter to fastboot.
When reconnect battery, phone go to boot loop and nothing.
Try Press power + vol down buttons, but nothing. Has solutions? Or hardware problem?

Got it solved by pressing POWER + VOLUME UP for about 20 secs, after it vibrates and light gets brighter and it will start. Before I also removed SIM and SD cards and plug them back in.
guys I had same experience mine. here is what I did. I opened the back cover, disconnects the battery and connected it back my phone came back but I discovered that the battery stoped charging but phone is working well. don't know why the battery stoped charging

bro please help..my bootloader is unlockes...i was trying to root my phone using cwm recovery and super su zip...after flashing zip my phone stuck at boot screen...please help!!

Hi guys,
first time poster but long time follower.
Last night i attempted to load the stock 3 UK rom onto my desire so that i could recieve the ota update today of froyo but now my screen is completly blank. It shows nothing at boot up and nothing when on the home screen. I know it's on because i can see the keypad light up when i press the power button. I can't boot it into recovery mode because i can't see the screen. Also i don't have a gold card neither so im pretty stuck. I believe it has something to do with different version of screens but i didn't see anything labelled on the rom to say which is for what screen. My desire has the AMOLED screen. Please can someone help i've tried allsorts but i need to get it fixed or i may try to return it at three but im guessing they'll know i've rooted it. Thanks in advance.

hold the volume key down and power button and hold till phone powers up. if your phone is rooted and has a custom recovery u can boot into that and flash rom.
I bet you have a slcd screen. Look for slcd brick fixed.

I can't because i can't see if it's gone into the recovery menu or not.
I had this problem too, you can fix it tho.
Start the phone as usual, install HTC Sync first, then connect it to your phone via USB.
Download the HTC Bravo stock rom from shipped-roms, and then just run the .exe file, it will reflash the stock android OS and your screen will be fixed.

trying this fix but it fails saying "bootloader error 140" - any ideas?
edit - fixed, used a different stock rom. screen still bust but at least I can now return it... hopefully.

I am having the same problem guys. i tried to unroot and reflash with a stock virgin mobile ruu... would i use the bravo rom too?

as long as you can get to recovery (even if you can't see it), you should be able to fix it.
i fixed my phone fine when I tried to install a wrong amoled ruu and bricked my screen.

Start it normally and wait for 5 minutes - are there even no SOUNDS at all ?
If you can here something, than it can mean, that you have a Desire with the SLCD screen, but you flashed something for the AMOLED screen... (just an idea though)

Not your first time but u pulled battery at 10th mins. Was it writing to baseband? If you are sure it wasn't then it shouldn't be bricked.
Edit: Have you tried the boot using battery pull plus ish cable method? Where you have it attached to pc pull battery quickly put back in as if you power button is broke? Or tried turning it "on" and running ruu?

im sure i done this more then 40 desire bet in this time its make reset when its insatll the rom and now the phone bricked

I echo the opinion that the ROM couldnt have damaged the phone this way. Usually RUUs do. This seems to be more of a hardware issue and might warrant a return to HTC.
He says he's got a white screen. Bricked SLCDs usually get nothing at all (black screen) on display. And ROMS dont write to the boot, so cant brick an SLCD. If he'd S-OFFd, a boot splash might loop the device I suppose. But I'm not sure about the latter.

i brought my HTC Desire from HongKong... so i tried RRU Official roms... & then after flashi got the bootsound, the 4 buttons & the charging light is working, & phone even vibrates also but the screen is black...
may be i flashed with the Amoled version...
any solutions ???
or can anybody provide me any official roms with SLCD support...

Classic SLCD brick problem..Try this thread for trying out various solutions.
You probably flashed a very old RUU. All newer RUUs (>2.0.x) support SLCDs. So if you have a goldcard, it is only a matter of flashing another RUU, preferably a WWE version.. Check my thread above.

Hi everyone, SO i was following online instructions to turn my verizon HTC ONE into a GPe HTC one. Everything went smoothly, but then when I finished the last step I got stuck in a bootloop. The google logo pops up, with a slightly unlocked padlock at the center bottom, and then just keeps rebooting in a loop. Any ideas on how to fix this? I'm not particularly used to android yet and am not sure how to proceed. When i boot holding the volume down button adn the power button the bootloader loads fine, and fastboot (connecting to USB) works fine as well. Any option I select throws it into a bootloop. The RUU i was using was RUU-HTC_One_GE-2.14.1700.15.zip. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Someone can correct me if I am wrong..but I pretty sure Verizon HTC One's can't be converted to GPE HTC One's.
If that's the case how do i get it back to stock?

Is your phone s-off or htcdev unlocked?
Also, what instructions were you following? What did you do to your phone before you got stuck in your bootloop?
i have here htc one m8n i cant hard reset not working the combinations
Unplug phone. Power on. I don't care if it looping just make sure it is on. Vol up and power exactly 10 sec. Let go of both. Vol down and power to enter bootloader. Usually about 4 seconds.

Hi, I factory reset my HTC One m8, and now when I turn it on it just gets stuck loading. I took it to Vodafone but they wouldn't do anything to it because it had a tiny nick on the side. The guy in the shop also didn't know what to do. I only FR because I wanted to give it to my mum and now I can't use it at all. Any help would be great ...thank you

Do you have custom recovery like TWRP installed when you do factory reset ? Usually this bootloop happens when the factory reset done but not with stock recovery installed.

I see .. it is not rooted and pure stock ROM I guess.
I don't know whether any RUU available for your device version.
Can you tell what's written on bootloader, the OS no. ?

My phone is getting restarted continuously from the HTC logo screen. Its stuck in a boot loop.
I have not activated developer options in my phone.
I can access the boot screen by pressing (volume down) and (power) keys, but rebooting or factory reset are also not working.
Please help.

Tighten the two volume buttons and the power button when a black screen appears to hold the volume- button and power, smart mustget into in the loader in the boot loader to choose reboot (assuming that the system is not removed)

The phone is still restarting after selecting reboot also.
Can you boot into recovery?
Most likely you have a corrupted boot or system partition.

I don't know. The phone was working perfectly. Just a day ago I got a marshmallow update. I installed it. Then after 2 days, I wake up and find this.

To all who has this problem, please do try to boot into custom recovery (if installed any) and wipe cache and davik-cache. If it still fails, please replug the battery, it should reset the boolean, and if it still fails, an RUU flash is the last resort before hardware issue.

my phone is working properly just before 6.0.x OS update....
