Switch your recovery to TWRP 2.6.3.2 or 2.7.0. You can find links to either of them in my signature. Click on jelly Kat FAQ version 4&5 and you'll find links to TWRP.Download the zip file of TWRP recovery and flash it using your existing philz recovery and then try flashing the DN3 ROM. BTW I've been using their V5+ version and was happy with it. Their latest release is V5.2 so give it a try. The release you are trying to flash is Jelly Bean version not Kit Kat version.

You mean downgrade from kitkat to jellybean, since kitkat is newer to jellybean.Yes you can go back and forth between Kitkat and Jellybean custom ROM whenever you like.

Custom Recovery / ROM
Team,
I am trying to Root my phone for custom ROM - on my note 2 n7100. I tried to flash using ODIN 3,9 version and had TWRP 2.7 version. Tried to boot but getting Stock Android Recovery mode rather TWRP mode.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

Install ClockworkMod recovery with SELinux support. Older CWM will result in a "status 7" error.
Take a look at the Installation part.
But before take a full backup.

You can try CM 11
link
Or AOSB ProBAM KK
link
I personally suggest go with CM 11, which is pretty stable and fast.

It's not unusual for that entry in the build.prop to be blank, and shouldn't cause issues. I think the default there should be '11 11', though having it blank should be fine (pretty certain).
> Working perfect on stock based rom
Which roms are you flashing that are giving you problems? Many of the e980 roms are bugged out in various ways, maybe it's just a quirk of the one(s) you flashed? I had a similar problem recently, wifi just would *not* stay enabled, would not behave. I don't remember which rom it was though; I flash too much.
You've flashed the Kitkat 20g modem, yes? If all else flails, you could always flash back to Kitkat stock and start over, that's guaranteed to tell you whether its a hardware or software problem (if it persists after that: hardward, got to be).

Booyah: E980 20g Kitkat TOT.
Also, with Lollipop roms, I don't think any of them are totally stable or functionally 100% yet, so that's not a place to go if you want stuff to work. There's plenty of nice Kitkat roms like PAC-rom or Carbon-Rom is you want stability and want for your phone to work fully (but thats no fun! ).

Yoink.
^-- Freegee never lets me in unless I flash the Sphinx GPro Recovery CWM recovery first. Once that is done, it's all good.

Oh, no, you misunderstood: you don't use the CWM, you only install it and then quickly install *over* it with one of Freegee's recoveries. Never use the Sphinx CWM, as you'll get errors when you go to flash roms. You only insatll the Sphinx CWM so that Freegee will recognize your device and function, it's only a stepping stone to Freegee, not a recovery you should use on its own.
And, in light of recent developments on the TWRP 2.8 front, I'd say give that a try instead. It mounts your external SD just fine. THe only things I've flashed with it are BlissPop builds and Gapps, but all without an issue yet. Go for the one with the Play theme and enjoy its gorgeous colors.
Thanks buddy.. Freegee recognized my device and installed cwm succesfully

[Q] Can't flash CM12 based roms

In advance i'm new to XDA so if i break any rules or guidelines please let me know
Hi,
I rescently flashed my HTC One x(International) to CM12 using the video on onexroot . com site (XDA wont let me post a ousite link because i'm new -_-)
I had to flash a new recovery with a new layout and then flash the CM12 rom. So i installed the rom and it runs great (minus the known issues). So i was looking around and i saw that there was a newer version of the cm12 rom with bug fixes and what not so i wanted to update it but since i flashed the new recovery and rom i can't flash any CM12 based rom any more, when i try i get the errorERROR EXECUTING UPDATER BINARY IN ZIP i tried many different roms to make sure it wasn't a rom related issue and i used MD5sum checker to make sure the download wan't broken but i keep getting the error. So i'm hoping one of you can help me. (phone info below)

Hboot 1.72.0000
Recovery TWRP v2.8.5.1 HOX Team Big

Oh well i think i'm in a bit of a pickle then. I didn't download it from the developer but from the link provided by the video tutorial. I don't know where the maker of the video got it from. Unless there is a global updater i will try to contact the maker of the video for the source. Thanks

[Q] Problem downgrade KitKat To ICS

Hey guys i still haven't done nothing but i'm here to ask what to do. Here is my problem :
Currently on my phone i have installed :
- Resurrection Remix v 5.1.4 with a DarkRaven Kernel.
The version of android is : 4.4.2 which is KitKat
I want to go back to the old Xperia Ultimate HD 3.0.2 cause i remember it was great in graphic and in performance without battery drain ( a problem that i'm currently facing).
What do i have to do to go back to ICSand install Ultimate HD 3.0.2 since right now i'm using kit kat?
Another but little problem :
-I remember i used a vengeance kernel so if you can help me which one i'll have to use would be great.
Thanks to whoever will help me! Have a nice day!
