[Video] Ringke Fusion Case by Rearth for the OnePlus One - ONE Accessories

Hey Everyone -
I'm back for another review!! There was a lot of buzz about this latest product I'm reviewing and for good reason, typically their cases are great. But does their product for the OnePlus One live up to the hype? Watch to find out!
Please consider subscribing to my YouTube channel if you like my work and don't be afraid to give videos a thumbs up ... hint .... hint lol
Also if you enjoy my videos then please share and recommend them to other like-minded geeks! Thanks!
EDIT - REARTH watched my video and commented about the issue. In their comment was information for anyone to follow who was also impacted by this to get the problem corrected.
Hi K.P Smith,
Thank you again for giving us an opportunity to be a part of your channel. We are terribly sorry to hear that the case you had received did not meet your expectation. Your critique is very serious and we will make sure to resolve it quickly.
This does not normally happen and we pride ourselves in offering the highest quality product to our customers. However, sometime we do have several cases that do not meet our specification during the huge mass production process. We sincerely apologize for this and will do our best to tighten up our quality control in the future.
However, for anyone who had issue with their cases please reach out to us at [email protected] or call us at 9724231482 and our customer service team will be happy to resolve it right away.
Also, the Oneplus One Fusion Smoke Black has not had any issue with fitting so check it out as well.
Thank you again for giving us such a critical review and thank you again to everyone for being our value clients.
Best Regards
Charlie P.

You sir have the "loose" version there....LOL. There has been many reports of bad copies like yours.
Luckily my sides don't bow out like yours and are very tight to the phone. Looks like they have a bit of a quality control issue.

Mines is pretty tight as well. I don't have any problems, I would suggest talking to rearth and even link them to the video and then do a review for when you get a replacement.
I was lucky to not have any problems.

That is exactly what both my clear ringkes look like...Getting a smoked version next. Third one is a charm.....If the third is the same then that will be the last from them for a good long time..

updated the OP with the reply from REARTH. Their response was on my youtube channel but it contained information that anyone who has a non-fitting case could follow to get the situation corrected.
P.S. The correction is get a smoke one now or wait and get a clear one once the issue is resolved. Perfectly acceptable response IMHO and i personally opted to wait for the clear because i intend on buying the bamboo swapstyle cover!!!

Awesome Customer Service! I also ordered the clear version because I'm getting the bamboo back cover when it comes out. haven't received mines yet but now i know to expect it to have that issue. they didnt give a timeframe of when to contact them again to get another replacement once they fix that issue?

Win a FREE Laser-Etched XDA Backplate

Just FYI, we're holding a contest that may be relevant to your interests:
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/win-a-laser-etched-xda-backplate-for-your-galaxy-nexus
Good luck!
This IS relevant to my interests. Good looking out.
Cool contest. And its good to know that there is a guy that is printing custom ones. I've had some ideas running through my head that I was wondering if they could get done.
Thanks. Entered!
Can it be done with experiences of other devices too?
Can we by any chance buy one ourselves without competing?

Yes. Visit the GRUVER concepts link in the contest. It should be available for purchase there.
Edit: Here's the link: http://www.gruverdesigns.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=20
This contest discriminates against people like me who read instructions properly and therefore have never had a bad flashing experience!
Wouldn't a laser melt the plastic back of the GNEX? Serious question.

It can if too much power is applied. In this case no. It just etches the surface.

The most important part is not the amount of power (or pulse energy) but the pulse duration (you use pulsed lasers for this kind of stuff). If the pulse duration is shorter or almost as short as the heat transfer duration between the atoms/molecules, melting is not a problem any more.
The pulse is "gone" before the heat can effect the nearby matter. You will get really sharp edges.
To win this would be awesome but I've never had any problems flashing anything so "unfortunately" I can't enter the competition, on the other hand I'm fortunate to never had any devices bricked!
great
Thanks for sharing, just bad when i read the others and see i was the daftest lol.
i know it shuts on the 23rd (i think) but when will the winner be announced? i can imagine it may take a while to read all the entrys lol,
Do you know if the cdma version will work on sprints version of the phone? Planning on getting mine sunday. Unfortunetly I can't think of any good stories that surpass those. But I do have my fair share since the days of winmo.
nice. thanks for posting.
Thanks for posting! I"ll have to think of my scariest moment for a bit.
Thanks! I posted my own scary incident back when I had my AT&T Tilt (Kaiser).
Just to give an example of the quality of the back cover, here's the one I had designed. Courtesy of Gruver Concepts (the company holding the contest with XDA)

The detail is explicit that even the fine lines of my logo were etched with perfection.
This is such a cool contest! I just submitted my story. Would be awesome to combine my just ordered GSM Galaxy Nexus with an XDA branded back cover!
Think you'll enjoy my short story about attempting to update my brand new Nexus One while hiding in the work bathroom and thinking I ruined the phone
Quick update for all who entered...
Just a quick update for all those who entered:
We received over a hundred contest entries, most of which were quite epic (perhaps even of the 4g variety)! Picking just 20 winners (10 GSM, 10 CDMA/LTE) was tough, so I added in 3 bonus winners who forgot to write in what type of Nexus they own, but still provided excellent stories. I will send those three an XDA-Developers T-Shirt instead.
Winners will be announced in an hour, at 11:30a Eastern time. At that point, I will shoot off PMs to the lucky few who had the most entertaining and spine-tingling stories asking for their mailing address.
Thank you to all those who participated in the contest. It's amazing how many crazy tales our mobile devices bring us!

Hello,
I would be interested in a sample and would like to try it out. I guess it will be enough to charge the phone by a few% so that you can still make a emergency call before you´re out of juice ?

It's 1000 mAh according to the Indigogo page.
I see, so you can expect a real life charge of about 700mAh if this unit has a efficiency of about 70% ?

Hey, I'm definitely interested in testing this out. I've tried a few other larger units that just weren't portable enough to carry with me throughout the day. Thanks for your consideration.
Count me in!
Definitely interested!...i'm in!
Thought about buying a Motorola Keylink, but this could actually keep me from doing so. I´m in!
I'm interested. I live in rural Montana and getting to a power source is sometimes out of the question when I'm on the trail.
Hello Guys, Sorry for delay! Had some hard time finishing campaign on indiegogo!
Thank you All for application! We are trying to get as many review samples as possible (for sure it will be more than one!) and will have final results on Tuesday!
Review samples will be sent in October when we will run first production.
Id love to test these out, let me know if I can join. I been a member for a long time on here. I love showing off new gadgets and this is something that can be easily shown off.
I'd be game to test it!
EDIT: Gonna have to register from home, can't link to Twitter here from the office
Looks interesting to be honest.
The size (from pic) makes it perfect to throw in your pocket / car glovebox / purse etc easily.
Would love to check it out, and review it on my channel.

Slickwraps for the OPX!

Hi guys!
I just recently found out that Slickwraps have released skins for the OnePlus X
Has anyone purchased and applied them yet? If yes, could you please share your experience and possibly a few pictures of the phone with the skin?
Also anyone who has used Slickwraps skins on other phones are welcome to share their experience so I can buy a skin from Slickwraps too!
Thank you.

Yeah, would be nice to see some real-life photos. Just found this on the oneplus forum
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/slickwraps-skins-and-their-dirty-marketing-strategy.379210/
Oh no, this is making me even more anxious now! I'll probably wait for someone to purchase and then ask them about their experience. Thanks for letting me know about this!
I have just received the 'leather style' one for my x and the fit is .. yes I will say perfect. I managed to fit it almost as good too. With some evenings of running back of my nail up and down the edges, I can now hardly feel that it is on.
Without doubt it stops it being so slippy, but if I have one criticism, I wish either of the companys would produce a soft feel type product for the OPx. However, until that day this will do nicely.
This is the first time since ownership that I have not had my OPx in either of the official cases, both of which still fit nicely.
For the record I have often used various wraps on previous phones and NEVER use anything but the back piece.

Paid like $13 and something including international shipping. But with 4/20 promo code though... But check their site, they always have promotions. And it's totally worth it, no defects.
Anyone else?

Hey!
Thanks for reaching out. We’re still on the fence about supporting the P10 Plus. We haven’t gotten enough requests to begin prototyping and production immediately, but we’ve gotten enough to still have it on the table as an option. Keep an eye on our Twitter in the coming weeks for updates. Let us know if there's anything else we can help with and have a great day!

Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately we have no plans to support the P10 Plus, as there is simply not enough demand to justify adding it to our portfolio at this time. Sorry about that. Let us know if there is anything else we can help with, and have a great day!

Yes please! Their website doesn't really inspire confidence so I'm not really sure about them. But if they are good, I'll give them a go.
I don't like cases, but man, the p10 plus is slippery!

Hello I have used dbrand skin on my p10.
There is also an British company that do similar skins. If you in Europe they will be a bit cheaper, but you only get one skin - not like with dbrand two. They are also split to separate pieces to not cover the antenna bands.

Have a look. Quality is comparable
