LOVE Mei Waterproof Dustproof Metal Cover case Gorilla Glass for Mi3 - Mi 3 Accessories

I took the case 23 days to reach me from Hong Kong to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. When I finally receive it, it came with defect. The buttons are all not align, the speaker output too.
I can't press the back button.
Luckily I paid using paypal (dispute ticket open), wish otterbox would create a case for MI 3 any soon.

If that is aluminium, you could have problems with phone and wifi signals.

I don't mind it being ugly or what ever, as long it protect my phone as I am usually out in the field. I would prefer otterbox but they have not created any case for mi3.
Also if yours is aluminium, I have one too in this attach pic. Look how is the condition after a month

Me too, I have otterbox armor for my siii and yes it is waterproof. Better quality for a price, I never expected Love Mei to give me some crap workmanship and best part is they offered me 5USD to send it for repair lol which I rejected, then they offered 10USD still I rejected. It is not even half the amount I paid for, all together I paid like 28USD and they are offering me 10USD only?
I hope paypal will refund me the full amount, or half will do too. As for the case, I do believe they should send someone to collect from me rather then me paying the shipping price again :|

Hi all.
I have the same case for my MI3 but mine is almost perfect, , the only issue is the power button. I have to push hard the button for it to work.
But is the only problem for mine.
P.S. - Sorry for my bad English

Nice Case
I'm thinking to buy one of that... do you think is useful or silicon is better? How much it costs more-less?

Some badly designed metal covers does cause poor signal and call drops. I used a cheap metal case and I experienced it.
I returned the case and switched to nillikin frosted cover. Looks great, protects well (sec mic covered though).

The only part of this case that is aluminum is the outer edge and on the bottom a couple inch's by the camera, the rest is rubber, plastic and glass. Besides it don't matter what case you use the signal loss will not have any significant effect or you would lose signal every time you went into a building (cement enclosures are an exception as they are very thick). Your loss of signal is due to the poor quality radios in these phones and your carriers cheap tower output. I have had 3 of these cases all of them worked just fine if you didn't mind it bulking your phone up a quarter inch all the way around its borders. I have had my phone out of this case for 3 months now and the signal has remained the same 2 to 3 bars sometimes no signal sometimes 4 to 5 bars but on average 2 & 3 bars of reception.
Just be sure you order the right case for your phone as the buttons in the case are different for the mi3w vs the mi4w and this is probably why petiole are having button issues. I love the extremely thick glass in them though I think it's just tempered glass and not true gorilla glass as it is not really all that scratch resistant but when you can pick them up for under $15 shipped who cares.

As far as waterproof goes no it's not waterproof as that is virtually impossible to do with a case and I believe is just poor translation. Highly water resistant is more correct. It stops water really well from your dangerous areas (charging port and headset jack) which could cause a bad short but it will slowly seep into both your speakers. I through mine into a mud puddle for a few minutes and it came out playing music but started freaking out for a few hours while trying to use it (mostly functions on the bottom of the device such as the home, back buttons, the 2 apps next to the app drawer and trying to hit return and send button on the keyboard or messenger was impossible). The second time it got wet from getting soaked by a downpour of rain and it started freaking out I tried simply removing the phone from the case and it worked fine it was just condensation under the glass. They are cheap cases and do break down after a few months losing their adhesive that keeps the buttons and screen sealed to the aluminum frame. I give the case a 7 out of 10 as it does a great job protecting it from daily water problems such as you accidentally drop it into a toilet or pitcher of beer or a puddle of water and retrieve it quickly because the cloth used over the speakers dramatically slows water seepage to a slow drip. It does a great job at protecting your phone as my first case proved when it fell onto the concrete from my coat pocket which was a 5 or more foot drop as I was climbing down from a railcar. Plus you can get them on eBay cheap if your not picky on color. I paid $13 shipped for my last one
The reason I docked it 3 points is because
1. The so called gorilla glass 3 is a flat out lie (it is an insanely thick piece of glass though that made me like it) that scratched easily over time but wasn't unbearable like film screen protectors get plus it not being truly waterproof.
2. The screws are easy to over tighten and strips the threading on the aluminum case if your not careful plus if you don't use locktight can vibrate themselves free and fall out on you if you have a job say as a forklift driver where your phone has constant vibrations.
3. The sealant which seals the glass and buttons eventually breaks down and allows condensation to build up from humidity in the air which will make your phone spaz out kind of like but not as extreme as if you just got it wet until you let it dry out or take it out of the case and wipe down the screen after a period of 6-12 months.

Well in my case, with the metal case on, I used to get 1 bar, but when I removed the case it increased to 3 bars (at the same location). As I mentioned, mine was a cheap, badly designed with case covering the antenna part. Bad design or not, metal cases will have some effect on network strength, here are some articles:

Must have been 1 crappy case. I never experienced any less signal with this case than without it. The radios in these phones are junk. I can sit my phone on the table without a case and watch it drop from 4 bars to 2 bars and go back to 3 or 4 bars hours later.

That case is more slippery than atrix itself. Otherwise I liked it.
I voided my warranty.
Didn't know that was possible I got one coming anyway. Dropped my phone once already and got a few scratches on the battery cover. Needed something that wasn't bulky
That case is not best for protection. Its better for docks and desk duty. It bulks up phone a little, but the grip is lacking on it.
I voided my warranty.
Cool, thanks for tip! Black and Magenta in stock.
Tried to order black one to Canada but $17.95 shipping
nice but weak
Nice velvety feel to the case, slim and light. Mine broke near the volume rocker after about a month, just from taking it in and out of my pocket. Never dropped it.
Better off with the ruggedized battery cover IMHO

These cases are available for $10 Radio Shack (in-store). It also comes with a screen protector, which I haven't installed.
I'm not crazy about the fact that it leaves the top (near power button/fingerprint scanner) pretty exposed, but I'm coming to terms with it. Also, I'm not sure I agree it's more slippery than the naked phone. It feels less slippery, although, for me, I think it has to do with the ergonomics of the phone. It just felt like the naked phone could slip form my grasp fairly easily. With this case, less so.

I got mine a few days ago and my wife is telling me that she has trouble hearing me when the case is on. She says that it sounds like I'm holding the phone out. Is anyone else experiencing this? It doesn't cover the mic port so I can't explain why it's happening. I'm not using the screen protector either.
I bought a red one on Amazon because I like hard shell cases. It broke near the volume rocker within a day, no drops. I wouldn't trust it for protecting the phone in a fall, even from waist height.

Do not mention Draco or any other ridiculously priced bumper please. $80 is way too much for a case.

I feel an aluminum bumper on this phone will preserve the look and feel of thr all aluminum phone while still adding some protection
How is the reception with the bumper on? Is it made out of actual metal? Isn't the whole point of the plastic sides are for reception issues since aluminum causes reception issues?

Well, don't forget the plastic strips on side and back. One reason for them being there is avoiding reception problems a full aluminium body would provide. So with alu bumpers you could probably close that "reception gaps" and therefore get in reception trouble. But that's a guess on my side.
Doh!!!

You are absolutely correct. The fact that the HTC One is all aluminum completely went over my head! :silly:
So yeah, I guess an aluminum case might not be so bad on the One. I'll be interested in finding out.
Also, I tried to give you a "thanks" instead of this reply but I was told that I'm limited to 8 thanks a day (WTH!?).
Well the thread says to not mention the Draco case, but I will as I can confirm the aluminum does not hinder cell or GPS reception to an unusable state. Other aluminum bumpers in the future will most likely show similar effects.

Hi,
I found an aluminium case here:
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=171032934102
It is not a bumper though.
I dream of an aluminium bumper for 30 bucks but it probably never gonna happen.
I don't know if i should get the draco design bumper in black or red
I know it's blasphemy but all three of these cases would be great. I for one would love to see a nice screw together machined aluminum case.
And, before you call and ask the company who makes the case I posted back and front pictures of..... it is over 200 dollars. It is called Black Ops. It does look cool though.
I think the issue with aluminum cases for the HTC one would be difficult because all the edges are slanted towards the screen. If you look at the poetic atmosphere case for an example, in order to be able to press the buttons, they made the case slant towards the screen as well. With aluminum, getting the perfect matching slant could be a problem. I guess an aluminum case that was straight without any slants towards the screen but inside had padding to match the slant could be achieve but that would alter the original ergonomic design of the HTC One's slanted edges concept. Just my 2 cents

Universal Waterproof Case

This just came in the mail today from amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Wat...8&qid=1402547153&sr=8-3&keywords=dryphonecase
http://www.dryphonecase.com/
This case is supposedly from Italy. The case is a very sturdy plastic that has a gel membrane that covers the screen side of case. It fits most smartphones. The membrane is the only thing that makes me nervous about the case. The case has a great seal around the edges of the case. The top if the case has a lock that keeps the case together. It also came with a lanyard.
I also did a water submerge test for 30 minutes. Nothing leaked. Supposedly it can take quite the fall.
Please let me know if you all have questions or comments about the case or my review.
Edit: The case worked great on my 75 mile bike trip. It survived a rain storm and a fall, but the fall cracked that case. But the phone survived the 7 foot fall. The case is great for water things but not dropping I found out.
Do this guys ship to India and reviews please

Power Button
You can not press power when the phone is in the case, correct?
If not, I don't see how this is any better than a plastic bag.
UPDATE:
Bought the case...
•*I installed ElementalX kernel and enabled DT2W in order to turn the screen on while the phone is in the waterproof housing.
• The touchscreen will not respond when submerged underwater. (I suspected as much.) This is a limitation of the hardware, not a case issue. Case comes with a sleeve that would theoretically allow the stouchscreen to work by providing some space between the screen protector and the screen itself but it seems to damage teh cover itself and might cause it to leak. (my unsubstantiated opinion)
•*Comes in a really bad cardboard box that hails it's material and integrity from the 1960's.

I wonder how this aluminum bumper would suffice.
If it would give any sort of lay on the table.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that you wouldn't like the metal bumpers. They don't provide much if any protection and they usually degrade the signal, and can easily scratch up your phone while removing/putting it on. I've learned the hard way.

If you have an iphone, certainly, it might degrade signal, the OnePlus cellular antenna is on the bottom left of the back of the phone. (Left if the screen is facing you, the antenna itself extending about 1/4 an inch from the bottom of the phone, and extending almost the whole way to the USB connection) Basically, if you're right handed, the antenna is facing out from your face always, if you're a lefty, I suggest taking calls with your right hand regardless. No bumper will interfere with this particular antenna layout.

Poor case selection

I'm trying to find a case with a belt clip but I've only found one believe it or not. Searching Amazon I've found the same case rebranded a hundred times over.
Problem is, I bought one and it has a critical flaw. With the case on the phone, insert it into the slip holster (aka clamshell) and the railing of holster constantly pushes the power button, so every time I pull out the phone, it reboots! I though it was my phone at first. Anyway, all designs on Amazon are the same! Just overseas made and sold by differing names.
I checked eBay too
I have found some nice horizontal cases (with a flap) that I think will work but I'm feeling like I will never see a true clamshell or clip design for this device...
I don't pocket my phones at all. I find it ruins the finish and is uncomfortable to me.
Just a rant. Anyone know of a well built case that offers a belt clip. I'll pay the price for a quality case, gladly!
Sent from my ZTE A2017U using Tapatalk
A crazy idea that might work....
I had an idea! The Axon 7 measures 5.97 x 2.95 x .31 and the Google Pixel XL measures 6.09 x 2.98 x .33. With my TPU case on, I think if I purchase the Seidio spring clip holster this might just fit the bill. The side rails might be cutting it close, but I am willing to take the chance.

I tried that one. It has a critical design flaw. When I put it into the belt holder, the belt holder pushes, and holds, the power button hard-rebooting my phone every time. I think the inner rubber phone case fits loosely which causes too much material over the power button. LOL Otherwise it isn't that bad of a combo.

Received my Poetic Revolution series case for my A7 today. I am very impressed by it thus far, especially by the built-in screen protector since there are no full screen tempered glass protectors for the A7 due to the curved glass. I don't plan on tossing my phone around to test out the durability but it feels like it is going to offer some good protection all around.

Any suggestions pleaseeee ?

You can buy the original from ZTE or B&H. Both dropped the price to 9.99 USD. B&H I know ships internationally-don't know about ZTE.

Please report back when you get it, as I'm very curious how it works with signal - every metal case I've ordered in the past for my other phones has reduced the signal slightly to significantly. I had thought the slightly wasn't a problem - what's a decrease of 1-2 bars when you're at full strength anyway?
The problem is when you're in a poor signal area and you NEED that 1 bar and you have to take the phone out of the case to work!
On another note, I wish that someone would make a simple backless bumper case - I miss those days when I could use my phone practically naked with just a protective bumper around the sides.

Just got the case today. I ordered a black one and i got a silver mirror looking back. I will be sending the case back. The back is plastic and it very reflective. The only metal is the bumper.

Ah, sorry to hear about that - I was hoping you had good news, but it seems not only did you not get what you wanted, but have to go through a bit of inconvenience to return the product. I appreciate that you shared your experience, though- thanks a lot for saving me from the same mistake.
I've using my poetic case for a few months now, and thus far I have a few complains
- flaps they remain open after a while, I cut them off both recently
- screen protector awful scratches easily, removed it and used a higher quality protector instead
now is near perfect the case plays well with third party screen protectors and is VERY sturdy, has saved me from QUITE a few drops

I spent tons of time looking for cases for the Axon 7 and found that honestly there are 5 variants. The poetic tank case, the Spigen "rugged armor" case, the dual layer (rubber plus plastic) case thats rebranded by tons of companys, the "iron man" dual layer case (Also rebranded by various companies), and the belt clip one with terrible reviews because of the problem you stated. There are a few others that are some variation of the above or some see-through ones with bumpers but honestly none seemed satisfactory.
In light of this I decided to opt for ZTE's own hybrid material case. I haven't dropped the phone since I put it on but it is definitely sturdier than the case they included with the phone and the material is hard enough yet flexible enough that it seems like it would be able to take a hit without causing any damage to the phone. It also fits really well and is not bulky either. I realize this might not be what you're looking for but for some strange reason good quality cases are far and few between for this phone (perhaps due to some kind of licensing issue from ZTE?) so that case might be your best bet :/. You could potentially get some other kind of belt holster and have this phone sit in it while in the case.

Aluminum doom
Though this question was posed back in May , I didn't see a response answering the question so I'll answer it for you in case anyone else is curious . I purchased the Mirror case for $3.89 on eBay in piano black . ( I always seem to find better deals there and easier to navigate then the Big A but that's just my opinion). It is indeed a beautiful case and mine came in with no damage whatsoever . Indeed it is a tight fit putting the back on but once you get it in place everything does line up perfectly . The concern from another member was whether or not the signal would be blocked with the aluminum casing around the edges . The answer is a very easy yes . The signal degrades horribly . I only get two bars inside my home and with the case on it dropped to 0 with no signal whatsoever . It does get some signal outside but it's not worth using this case if I may be missing important calls or messages from clients . Sadly it's just a beautiful case with poor execution with the materials involved . Fortunately I didn't lose much on the case itself . I really wanted this one to work strictly because it looked so awesome even though it's not great when it comes to protecting the phone itself in a drop . Hope this helps if anyone else was curious about the case.
