In order to get out of htc boot screen you have to hold the power and vol up for 10 seconds and then when the screen turns off, hold vol down while still holding power. Then you will be taken to hboot. You don't have an os or rom installed on your phone so you're going to have to flash a new custom rom. All you have to do is connect your phone to your computer with usb cable and use adb commands to push rom file to your phone and through your custom recovery you can flash a new rom. Download this zip and extract it to your desktop or wherever you want. http://www.sakitechonline.com/downlo...stboot_adb.zip Then you download the custom rom you want and make sure it works with your phone. so you drag the custom rom file to the fastboot folder and then in the fastboot folder hold shift and right click on your mouse and press "open command window here" Then in the command window type adb devices to make sure adb is working and you should get numbers that means it works. Make sure your phone is in custom recovery and then type adb push exact name of your rom file.zip /sdcard/ and press enter and then it will push your rom file it will take couple of minutes and then you have successfully pushed your rom file and you can flash a new rom

Noob here, Why does it need to update when the firmware of your ROM is updated? or is it diff?
I thought the ROM already comes with the updated firmware. I'm trying to flash Android revolution 11.1

I think the ROM runs on the updated firmware, not that it comes with the updated firmware. There's a difference.
Read up on some of the stuff being said about the firmware. YES!! I KNOW you are running Android Revolution but still, just for information purposes:

There the crew from Viper ROM discusses some stuff about the Firmware.

[Q] [urgent] Help needed

so i got into this problem i sucessfully unlocked the bootloader using htc offficial method flashed the twrp recovery wiped everything as coming from stock rom
downloaded the slimbeam rom and the g apps and flashed it but the problem is after the htc boot screen i am getting this kind of message in red lines and then it get stuck at that i tried several other roms also still the same problem any solutions where i got wrong??
On your PC, take the rom you're flashing and unzip it with 7zip, get the boot.img file over to where your fastboot is, then in fastboot USB mode, issue this command -
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Be sure that you're only using a rom for your phone.

You're unlocked with HTCdev.com but encrypted signature security is still there - aka s-on.
You'll need to do this with every rom flash, unless it includes an s-on kernel installer.
And if one does, those don't work 100% of the time, not the dev's fault.
This is pretty much the standard procedure for all s-on HTCs.
You can skip it if your flashing a similar rom and you're sure it has the exact same kernel as the previous one.
But you'll probably spend more time figuring that out each time than just doing the procedure.
I think most people do the rom first, then the boot.img - I think that you want to go with that.
Thanks man really appreciated the reply
Btw can you suggest stable cm rom kernel combo and
also do I have to flash the boot. Img from the rom I downloaded?
I would be great if you provide stable cm rom :thumbup:
Send from my nexus 7 still on jb
Sorry, I own other HTC models and you have to go with one for your phone.
And yeah, you want to flash the boot.img from each rom you download and try.
The boot.img contains the kernel - that ties the hardware to the rest of the rom.
They have to match up.
So we I am also trying to flash ligux rom so we need to flash the rom and gapps in the recovery and then flash the hell boy kernel through flash boot via cmd right?

If that kernel and rom combo are compatible, yes, that's it exactly for an s-on HTC.

[Q] Need some help to root my DHD on 4.3 Android version

Hello, firstable i would like to say that i'm new here, and that im totally neophyte in the wolrd of rooting phone etc.
I recently lurned that i could "root" my HTC Desire HD on a android 4.3 rom, but after spending one hour on the website, i have to say that im really confuse and that it dont seems as easy as i though it will be to root my phone. Some people might say that i'm a noob or whatever, and it's actually true, but i believe that everyone here was like me at the begening.
So long story short, i would like some help to root my phone on Android 4.3, or 4.0 at least cause some brand new apps or games seems to only works on Android 4.0, but i can't find any easy tutorial that i could follow step by step to do it, most of the tutorial use terms that i dont even understand !
So if someone could spend some time to explain me the basic step that i need to follow to root my phone, or lead me to a thread made for total beginers, i would really appreciate it, thanks for your time and i hope i will be able to manage the operation succefully !
Got a custom recovery?

There is a nice thread right there explaining about the whole process. You can upgrade to 4.3 using two methods:
1. Unlock bootloader, flash custom recovery, flash 4.3 rom, flash boot.img of that rom.
Or
2. Get s-off using aahk2, flash custom recovery, flash 4.3 roms.
Those steps is just main procedures but it should help you started.

U only need to unlock bootloader but if u want to unlock ur device 100% then do it with aahk 2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2367322

Thanks for your replies, well i actually used the easyaceroottool, i unlocked the phone, and then i tried to instal 2 different rom but no one worked and now i can't use my phone anymore, expet in the recovery mode with volume - / power.
I will try to do the process again with AAHK2 as you advice me, i hope it will fix the problem and that i will be able to instal a new rom, otherwise my phone is screwed :s
i will keep you in touch, thanks
Damn, i think my phone is dead now :s i wiped all the things in the bootloader to instal the roms, and now it is stuck on the white htc screen, and it can't be recognise by the computer or AAHK2
Is it totally broken since i dont have any recovery / backup or there is a solution ?

is the phone still can go into bootloader..?, n what the state of your phone bootloader now..?
did you've already installing custom recovery..like CWM, TWRP or 4EX recovery..?, n is it the recovery still worked..?
after installing the custom rom..did you sure don't forget to flashing boot.img from the rom itself through FASTBOOT mode..?

i assume that you already had SDK/ADT for execute ADB and fastboot command..if not..you can download it from here..
just extracted the rom.zip that you already installed..find "boot.img" file in there..then copied to the SDK/platform-tools folder that's the place of your ADB n fastboot.exe on your pc..
then reboot your to bootloader with pressed volume down + power..then select FASTBOOT..then connecting it your phone with pc..until indicator on your phone change to "FASTBOOT-USB"..
then open cmd and change it the source to your SDK/ADB folder..then type (w/o quote) "fastboot devices" to cek the connected first..then type "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
now you can try rebooting the phone with type "fastboot reboot"..done..
hope this help..sorry for my bad grammar
Awesome i think it worked, now i dont have the white htc screen anymore and i think that the phone is loading the new rom, but i had to create myself a folder "Fastboot" at C:/ and past a fastboot.exe from the easyaceroottool. Anyway, it's still loading at the moment i think it will works correctly, i will keep you in touch ! thanks !
Well, i dont know if it's normal, but it has been more than 20 minute and the phone haven't started yet, i see the new loading menu from the rom running, but the phone don't start, is it normal that i have to wait that long ? it's the first time that my phone is rooted with a new rom by the way.

No..it's not normal..booting the first time of any rom after every installing is not more than 5-6 minutes..
what the rom you installing..?, just try installing another custom rom..maybe you can try (ICS rom) SVHD v2.1.0 rom..or (JB rom) MIUI V5 v3.12.27 ported rom from MIUI site..that's what i know more stable than the other custom rom..
note: always don't forget to flashing a boot.img too extracted from the rom that you've been installed..
Ok i will try the 4.0 android one, because that's why i wanted a new rom at the begening, to have a 4.0 or + android version ^^
There is no need for any gapps ? i see only one thing in the downloads section

Stuck in boot screen

I unlocked my bootloader, installed custom recovery and rooted my phone so that I can install custom ROMS.
However, when I install a custom rom phone does not boot. It will get stuck on the HTC logo screen. I tried Android Revolution, InsertCoin and SkyDragon roms with same result.
I also tried to flash boot.img via fastboot with no joy.
I have S-ON (I tried to turn S-off but that attempt failed as well)
Can somebody please help me before I bust this phone up?

I know this definitely happens with Android Revolution, but if you leave it alone for long enough, it will boot. I am running SkyDragon now, and it seems to work just fine. Even though I am S-Off'd, it should still work for you since you have an unlocked bootloader. Can you post a screenshot of your phone in bootloader mode?
It might be because of your firmware. Do you happen to be on Verizon?

You are right. I just found out that I was not waiting long enough for it to boot. However, everytime I restart the phone it takes almost 10 minutes for phone to boot but I shut it down and start, it would start.
Now, I dont cannot get root on SkyDragon. SuperSU says "The SU binary needs to be updated. Continue?" I would hit continue and hit "normal". I get "Installation Failed! Please reboot and try again" error message....Ugh this has been very frustrating...

I had the same problem.. what fixed it for me was getting on my stock ROM and doing HTC's OTA update to 4.4.3. This updates your firmware and make it compatible with newer firmware ROMs (such as Android Revolution) To do the OTa if you don't know how I recommend restoring a stock nandroid , flash the stock recovery and you should be ggod to go.

You still have your usb cable plugged in. It will NOT work like that. @taaeem has already mentioned that.
What was the previous firmware that you had installed?
If it was a Chinese firmware, you need to try flashing this file first: https://mega.co.nz/#!8kcVADpB!JKeDlX4WQhmAP3mclNTfIzIjVllw5sMhnrj-3KSpSc4

very strange..
maybe you do a all again..

Have you tried the file that I linked to above?
I think your problem is that you flashed the incorrect recovery version for the firmware you had on your device.
Unless you used TWRP to completely wipe your device before you flashed your stock recovery (which was not at all necessary), then you should still have a firmware on your device.

my phone is not rooted yet, cause im waiting for official 6.0.
Im trying to get into stock recovery, but the phone show a red triangle about 3 minutes then reboot to homescreen, what should i do? My phone is untouched.
Thanks for the links. However, the problem is that .img files cannot be opened. I downloaded several archives, 'A53ML_DTUL_L50_SENSE70_hTC_Asia_India_1.08.720.1_Images.zip', '0PL3IMG_A53ML_DTUL_L50_SENSE70_hTC_Asia_TW_1.32.709.6_Radio_1.1506V24P21.2003.0505_AD3_WT_release_448869_signed.zip' and 'A55ML_DTUL_L50_SENSE70_hTC_Asia_HK_1.30.708.6_Images.rar'. I used 7-zip to extract 'system.img', but without success. Mount also doesn't work (OSF Mount). All three archives behave the same. Has anyone experienced the kind of problems so far?
Actually, I just need stock recovery, Asia_TW_1.32.709.6 for E9 so I can try to run OTA Update. I am reluctant to use it if 7-zip raises an error.
EDIT:
Just figured out I need different software for the purpose
EDIT:
Just wish to confirm that updating firmware worked. My phone (HTC E9 dual, not plus) had TWRP 2.8.6.0 recovery and was rooted. Following the procedure described in the first post I was able to update the device from 1.32.709.6 to 1.32.709.7 TW version. The whole flashing procedure lasts 15 minutes and another 15 minutes for first boot. Battery went down from 56% to 51%. However, the advice is that the phone should be fully charged just in case. All apps and data remain intact after flashing.
There is another update, 1.50.709.3 version. OTA update went well because during the previous procedure stock recovery was flashed. It should be the latest version as no new ones are available. However this one is also based on Lollipop 5.0.2 which is a shame. Hopefully, we will not wait to long for Marshmallow.

Would you explain why you are looking for fastboot function in your HTC phone, If you want to flash files into your phone using fastboot commands, (POWER OFF PHONE
....Press and HOLD VOLUME DOWN KEY(Do not Release)
......then Press and HOLD POWER KEY (Do not Release)
.......When you See HTC LOGO, Release POWER KEY only
..........lastly when you see another menu ...HTC DOWNLOAD MODE(In red color)
..............Release The VOLUME DOWN KEY)
You can connect your phone to the computer via usb cable while in that menu and use fasboot commands on your comuter.

Use Another ADB, And Your Problem Will Solve
Have these roms been decrypted ?
I must admit that I am quite ignorant when it comes to android flashing and all. I have only just begun getting into this world.
I have a question about official ROMs. My Htc e9+ has stopped working (I posted a thread about it with no reply). I can't enable usb debugging. It's bootloader locked, S-ON and rooted. I never installed any custom rom, no TWRP.
Can I use the rom provided here to flash it? If so, then can I do it using a memory card in recovery? It doesn't seem to work.
