T520 and Roku Screen Mirroring - Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, 10.1, 8.4 Q&A, Help & Trouble

Roku just released a brand new feature that allows screen mirroring. It's working fine with our unrooted S5, but I can't get it to work with my 10.1. I don't know if it's because my 10.1 is rooted, or if there are bugs on Roku's end as it's still in Beta. Just wondered if anyone else had tried this feature and was successful at mirroring their tablet.

Can you give more details? You are trying to mirroring to another android device, PC or TV? If it's TV I can't help you because my TV don't support mirroring and I don't have chromocast or similar.

Details: on the Roku/TV I go to settings>screen mirroring >enable. On my tablet I go to settings and enable screen mirroring. My Roku is listed. I select the roku. On the TV screen it goes to another screen for just a second, then goes back to the enable screen. Then my tablet switches off screen mirroring automatically. As I said in my OP, I am able to connect my S5 using these steps.

[Q] Screen Mirroring Problem

OK, So I have Nexus 7 2 and I am just loving it. I just bought Samsung Smart TV, and, of course, loving it too :silly:. I actually wanna screen mirror b/w my nexus 7 running Android (of course :3) 4.3.3. When I go to Setting -> Display -> Cast Screen, My TV DOES APPEARS their. Whenever, I connect it ofcourse wont. Yes, I did go to Developer Options and, over there selected Certificate something. And again in Display, I selected "Enable autonomous GO". Whenever my TV says Connecting To Android XXXX, and the cast icon appears on my Nexus 7 notification bar, MY TV JUST SWITCHES TO TV (NORMAL MODE).
Don't tell me it isn't possible, as this person did here, using nexus 7 and Samsung TV

Miracast no longer working

Hello, Ive been using miracast / screen mirroring on my Sony Bravia TV for a while. Recently I converted my HTC One M8 into the google play edition. Since then I am not able to using screen mirroring. I can find my TV on the list under display settings - Cast Screen but it wont work. It says connecting then the screen flashes and it displays my TV name again as if I didnt press it. Help?

[Q] Screen mirroring - how to use without going to "enable display mirroring?

Maybe I'm just spoiled by having used a Chromecast before, but is there a way to make the Fire TV always be "listening" for a device that is trying to cast to it?
It works fine from my Oneplus One, but it is a bit annoying that I have to navigate to Settings -> Display and Sounds -> Enable Display Mirroring any time I want to cast anything.

Cast FTV screen to phone to navigate FTV using touch...?

Is there a way to cast the screen of the FTV to your phone/tablet and then use touch controls on the phone/tablet to navigate the FTV? Similar to the mouse apps, but actually have the FTV screen actually show up on the phone/tablet.
Thanks in advance.
People are gonne need more info before they can answer. Is you device rooted?
Yes, my FTV is rooted.

? use shield with external touch screen for select app control

is ther a way to use the shield with external touch screen like a 10in or larger tablet
to control a music app (which i know one can cast from a mobile device thats not what im tring to do) id like to do a split screen out from the shield like a pc but via the shields wifi to a tablet thats always on an wifi'ed directly to it an not though the router
that acts as a 2nd display that a music app like aimp can be sitting on that display like an extended desktop an run on an be controlled from rather then using the remote on the main screen an also not have to cast it from a tab or phone every time i want to use with easy
id just like to have the tablet next to me on a stand that i can just reach out an touch a track to start playing without having to cast first
