[Q] Best Bluetooth Gamepad Controller with bracket? - General Accessories

I'm looking to buy a bluetooth gamepad with a bracket to hold my phone (Samsung Galaxy S5). Ideally I'd like one where the bracket allows you to adjust the angle. Not many seem to do this, not the cheaper ones at least. It's going to be mainly for emulator gaming on my phone but I may also use on my android TV stick as well.
So far I've looked at the Ipega 9025, 9021, the G910, Phonejoy, Madcatz C.T.R.L.R & Moga devices. The Moga Power Pro is a bit expensive, and the Moga Hero doesn't seem to be available in the UK. Madcatz looks good but a bit large, heavy and expensive. The Phonejoy doesn't look comfortable to hold. The others don't appear to have an adjustable bracket.
Are there any others worth considering?

Sliding Gaming Pad/Keyboard

Gaming on the go is something I have always thoroughly enjoyed and, in many ways, was one of the reasons that the Galaxy Note appealed to me so much. So far, I have been rather impressed by Android's offering of games. However, I simply love classic old games such as Sonic and Mario so have turned to emulating them. Unfortunately, consoles such as the SNES have simply too many buttons to use the on-screen controls for. Does anyone know of a gaming pad that is compatible with my Note running Android 4 and which slides under the phone similar to the keyboard in this thread here?

may not be exactly what you are looking for but I feel like it is the best option if you want to game. kind of expensive though.
You could buy that Slide keyboard.
And remove the keyboard, and borrow the tilt backplate. Place another (game)board inside.
It would be much trouble trying to find something that fits well.
Especially a model which has the 4-action buttons and 2-joysticks (D-pads aren't necessary if you have the extra joystick). And joystick (like PS Vita) always trumps Nubs (PSP).
Now you're only problem is having 4-shoulder buttons.
And this time its Samsung's fault. SONY is doing it right by placing the Volume buttons on the right side, they can be mapped for shoulder keys. If you had a Camera button, and an Extra button...they would've also been mapped for the R1/R2 shoulder buttons.
Anyways, OEMs tend to think in this order
Build-Price>Marketing>Competitors>Carriers>Usability>>>>Niche-User.
Take my concept (what started out as the OpenPandora), and evolved into an N900, then to a SuperPhone concept, dating back to 2009 (or drafts from 2007):

With an attachable keyboard/charging battery module:

Playing a First Person Shooter:

Playing a Third Person Racing(Flying) Shooter (aka DBZ):

...now I think it can be evolved with the use of:
-Better specs like 1GB RAM and big.LITTLE computing (Tricore A15-A7)
-Higher Screen Resolution
-Get rid of 3D (such a gimmick)
-5V charged MHL (usb host + hdmi)
-Update Gamepad (I can update a picture for you if you like)
-Introduce a better concept of module from M$'s new patent:

OR OTHERWISE A NOTE_2 with Project Andraxis:

MOGA pocket - Same compatibility that other MOGA gamepads?

Hello. I want to buy the MOGA pocket because it's small and it's the only one "cheap". I know the hero power is basically a improved moga pocket but it is way too expensive. But the thing is, the MOGA pocket does not have a d-pad! does this mean less compatibility with games? Or does it have the same compatibility as the rest?
I want to play games like GTA San Andreas!
Thanks :good:

AR drone 2.0

Has anyone tries the Parrot AR drone 2.0 with their shield?
I did a search and can't find a reference to it, i'm picking one up tomorrow, heaps of vids on youtube, the shield offers twice the range of a standard phone.
Just when i thought the shield couldn't get any better!!
I'll post how it goes.
Cheers,
Sam.
Nvidia Shield
The shield has no compass so the absolute control mode doesn't work. I like the joystick control.
I don't have a drone, I don't know if it will work, but I can help you root your Shield.
ar drone 2.0
I actually just bought my shield on clearance at gamestop since I go the ar drone 2.0 for christmas. Not only do they work awesome together but they are DESIGNED to work together! As soon as a booted up the default parrot ar drone app I got a new startup screen saying optimized for nvidia shield, the physical controls work much better then the on screen ones. I really can't comment on the range since it's been to windy since I got my drone to really test that part anyway but it feels much more responsive then it did when using my galaxy note 4 to control it. Just to mention on a side note the shields are selling for $160 at gamestop right now.

3D VR Glasses for Zenfone 2 ZE551ML suggestion.

Hello all,
I have became curious about this technology and wanted some feedback and recommendations on which one is best for our phone, my main use will probably be, movies and a little of gaming.
Thanks...:good:
Howdy,
I bought a cheap 20 Euro VR headset and also the Homido VR headset which cost me 80 euro and I ended up selling the Homido! simply because the screen is placed way to close and it's horribly pixilated which I was soooo disappointed about :crying:

Go for something like this, not much pixelation and cheap to buy :good:
The Homido VR did have better FOV and overall was of better 3D quality due to it having nice Optics for it. I would go for something like I showed you but find something with good lenses for an overall better 3D experience ^^
Thanks for the suggestion.
I made the Google Cardboard one to see if I would like it before I invest in it and I loved it so I will be buying a more advanced pair. I saw some on Ebay that had bluetooth remote for $28 free shipping

I got a cardboard V2 and it works very well
I picked up the View-Master goggles (like Cardboard v2 but plastic construction) when they were on sale for $20 a week (or so) ago. I'm using them with my Zenfone 2 with good results.
A couple thoughts though:
- I'd recommend Bluetooth headphones with this - the headphone cord will be pinched by the closure if you are using wired. You can also hear the built-in speakers through gaps in the case, but you lose stereo effects.
- It is a bit heavy on the nose - I find it is more comfortable pushed up higher on my face.
- They are really cool & I do recommend them.
I went through (and discarded) a few movie apps before settling on "VRTV free". Some of the others had more difficult controls and didn't seem to get the spacing right for the 3D effect (very obvious on text where it was "double vision" instead of 3D). VRTV has a virtual theater mode for 2d movies and then 180 & 360 modes for 3d files. It also has a "re-center" command which is important since I am getting some gyro drift (in fact I came here looking for some sort of calibration app).

The Ipega PG-9099 Wolverine controller is your best bet. It has dual vibration motors for haptic feedback on games, the D-pad plate is replaceable... which for me is a nice feature to have.
The telescopic phone holder can hold phones with up to 6.2 inches display and even more if the phone is bezel-less.
I made a review of the controller on my blog, you can check it out to know the full features it packs.
