[Q] Where does the downloaded update files store in the phone?

Hello guys,
Actually I am a NEO user. But I can't find the neo forum so I just post this question here.
Yesterday my phone said there was a software update. After it downloaded about 45m data, it said there was an error so that the update cannot be processed. Then in this morning, I got a storage quota warning. The internal storage is less than 40m left. Last time I checked the internal storage was 70ish. So I am wondering if the software update files occupy the missing storage. Does anyone have any idea where I can find these files? Thanks in advance!

[Q] Memory card problems

Hey hope somebody can solve this problem
I bought a new 7 GB SD card for my Wildfire not so long ago and saved most of my apps from the phone accross to it. All was fine for a while until my phone alerted me saying that it was low on storage space. On checking the memory card I noticed that I still had well over 6 GB of free space. All the apps that I checked are saved onto the SD card and some don't give an option to be moved to SD card. This is also stopping me from downloading new apps and also all the apps I have wont update as it says there is no space, even though there is plenty.
My wildfire is NOT rooted and has the original HTC installed Android OS (Froyo 2.2.1)
I am planning on rooting the phone and putting on a custom ROM in the future but in the meantime I was wondering if there was a solution to this problem.
All help is appreciated.
Thanks, Wooster
When your deivce say that you are low on storage than it means that you don't have enough internal memory space left!
You cannot move many apps to your sd card because your device is not rooted.
I would recommend you rooting your device to solve that problem because then you can create custom mtd partitions and installing a2sd script (both can be found in development thread).
Thanks for the reply. I will just root the phone then today. Thanks for the help

[Q] Insufficient storage after rooting

Hello guys, i just rooted my phone and now i can't install anything, i keep getting a message saying that i have insufficient storage, but i got lots of space in both storages...
What can i do to fix this ?

[Q] (incorrect) insufficient storage warning

hi all, I have a 3G model of our beloved S4 mini and have encountered something terrible. I tried to install 2 different applications, being a terraria trial and an xposed module called xdictionary. with both of these when I tried to install I got the insufficient storage error/warning.
Here are the things I can clarify, 1. I have plenty of space, the one app was 43mb and the other 10. I have over 3.5 gigs of space on my internal storage. 2. I installed clash of clans successfully, which is over 50mb.
Info: GT-9190 running snapshot CM11
if any more info is needed please ask. any help is appreciated

insuffient storage

hey guys,
i am on stock lollipop 5.1 but every time i try to download from play store. it pops up an error about insufficient storage, although i do around 250-300 mb free in internal and 1gb in my sd card.
please help
and thanks in advance
Same Issue
I am facing the same issue. I have also tried a workaround. I have rooted my phone and now move most of the apps (except system ones) to the SD card. Still every time an app is updated it moves to the phone by itself and I have to move them over again. This is very annoying in case there are multiple apps requiring update and I cant update them all at once since after one of them updates, there is no more space. Is there any fix on this issue or maybe another workaround?? Any help is really appreciated. Thanks
I think the only solution is rooting the phone and making a partition in your SD card for apps, then all apps will install in that location without going to internal storage.
