Some familiar faces contributing. I'm going to have to try it.

I will redownload tomorrow, I stayed stuck on boot animation .....

Nightlies have a tendency to break at random times. Nightly = experimental. They are not tested by us (or the AOKP team), we simply build from latest source and distribute.

Me too.

26 OCT Nightly still doesn't get past bootanimation ............ on a positive note though, bootanimation looks cool

I will pass along these reports to the AOKP team if anyone cares to grab logcat logs.

I was able to get it to boot on the 25th build, but had no data baseband was blank.

I see that there are 15 downloads of the 11/02/2014 build has anyone that can comment tried it out to see if it works better then the past 2 builds?

Still couldn't get past the boot animation.

Same thing...stuck at boot screen.

Subscribed.
Can't wait to see this all blacked out!!

11/6 just dropped.

11/6 still won't go beyond boot animation.

Just a waste of times flashing it.

So grab a logcat log of the boot loop and help instead of complaining. I don't have an S III so my hands are tied.

Why is this ROM "taking CyanogenMod to the next level?
CyanogenMod does not want to include many customizations like they did in cm7
But why not? We want to customize our phones!
This ROM adds more options and cherries to CyanogenMod, cherry picked from the CM gerrit, Google gerrit, AOKP gerrit, SGT7, TeamEOS, TeamBAKED, Slim ROM, root - box and ParanoidAndroid
Basically this is one big mixture of all the great ROMs out here!
Stock but still highly customizable the way we like it
Instructions:
Download all the needed files (ROM, Gapps)
Boot into recovery
Flash the ROM.zip
Flash Gapps
Boot without flashing a custom kernel (after you've setup everything you can safely install a custom kernel)

Not booting on my manta unfortunately. Stuck at the Google splash screen and adb logcat just says waiting for device. I've got 7e4ee759b19ce6ac16885581db964dbc for a md5sum--that look right?
Any "build optimizations" like Linaro in this ROM. Personally, I'm a bigger fan of speed over a ton of customizations, but I'm willing to try it.

Haha, yeah that's kind of important too.
Also, with 4.3 out today, that's the only thing people are focused on at the moment.

Don't be a downer just because you have one of the fastest ROMs out there
Seriously though, I am interested, never had "memory leaks" or "SoD's" so I can wait until they root the OTA. Don't want a hacked boot loader I want to start with the real thing.

Yeah, I agree. I'm not rushing to upgrade to 4.3 either, since I too haven't had any of the problems with 4.2.2 ROMs that many report.

Hi,
The recovery seems to be broken.. I'll pitch in with more, if I find anything else. For the time being, I guess it's good to go..
BTW, now that it doesn't go to recovery, please tell me how to flash a different ROM now.. Can I do a fastboot flash boot by using CM 10.2 boot image. I suppose it has got CWM in it.
Edit : And the camera doesn't work. Can't connect to camera.
Edit 2 : Performance wise, awesome work mate. The best 4.3 ROM I've used so far. And I've tried everything that is available at XDA Once we iron out all those glitches, this will be unbeatable. Good job @championswimmer. Going back to CM10.2 now, will be back here as soon as the cam is fixed. Thanks
new build up
camera fixed
Been trying the latest build for the last few days. Gotta say, awesome job
Apart from the fact that it takes a couple of seconds between capturing photos it's perfect.
I haven't had any issues other than the lockscreen being glitchy when rotating (had the same problem on the 4.2.2 builds.) Awesome to see AOKP 4.3 on the ZL
is the recovery still missing? :what:

About Android Open Kang Project
Device: jflteatt (Samsung Galaxy S4 AT&T)
WHAT THIS IS: A ROM(jfltetmo) directly from AOKP with no additions. Since Team Kang hasn't added the SGH-I337 (AT&T Galaxy S4) as a supported device there is no ROM for it. This ROM is unofficial which means I had to re-configure the build.prop, updater-script and Loki'd it for use on MDL- devices. If you use SafeStrap then this ROM will not work for you. YOU assume all liability. Now onto the goods
Make sure you're using the Latest CWM or TWRP & Backup
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Flash ROM
Flash GApps
1.4.2014 - Initial Conversion for jflteatt (3rd build from jfltetmo)
Latest Build: JAN. 4TH 2014 Nightly Build (~182MB | md5: c964c39fed29af3c0d8f9adb016c4096)
GApps: AOKP 4.4.x GApps (12.25.2013)
I will add nightlies to the list as long as the this device is unsupported, but I expect in due time Team Kang will add it.
Now time for Snow Shoveling!

Haven't had a chance to install yet but I'm sure it is great as always. Thank you
Definitely good IMO. Runs really smooth so far. Apns for Att are there for me. WiFi is working.... Solid build. Had to update superuser binary but I've had to do it with a few roms. Thanks for bringing to us. Can't wait for the features like center clock, animations etc. I'm using Xuimod and gravity box right now with no issues so far.
Sent from my At&t Galaxy S4
I couldnt get the navbar to work. The `settings` tab was emtpy. It still a work.in progress?
Thanks for the build, I.missed aokp
Running great for me so far. Good work.
The only major issue I'm having is not being able to activate the navigation bar. Other than that, everything seems to work fine.
For us Canadians to use this rom (Bell/Telus/Rogers - 1337m) is it as simple as flashing a compatible kernel after flashing the rom?
TIA!
FYI for those interested MHL does work on this rom.

[Q] How to build AOKP rom from source

Hello, I want to try and build AOKP jellybean rom from source for our unsupported HTC One X. I find the Kitkat roms not fully stable and Android 4.3.1 is already good enough and stable for daily use so i want to try to build AOKP using the latest 4.3.1 source. Can anyone tell me full steps on how to build it? I already have Ubuntu set up with dependencies required to build roms from source.

Sync AOKP source, device tree (endeavoru/tegra3-common), kernel, htc vendor. Then go from there. Look in ice cold jelly source for reference as ICJ is build from aokp source.

Alright, i've got everything already. Now it says I need a "device.mk" for the build, im not able to find this in any other repos. Any ideas on how to make this file if im not able to find it?

Clone device tree from cm @ icecoldjelly github. Read some guide in building for device. What is necessary to successfully build. Cm wiki is a good place to learn.
Note : also you need to add device in vendor/aokp and overlay for rom control

I'm on it now. Not noticed any bugs and performance is very good.
Thank you for your contribution to mix2!!I wonder if you will continue to update this ROM?Or has it already stabled?
Could you provide us more information please?
Is this ROM build from scratch or did you use any existing trees and if so, which one?
This will help reducing bugs (if any).
I searched the web but can't find anything clear about ABC. Just that it evolved out of Slim Collective, does this mean it has some trees from slimrom?
Thank you in advance for a clear statement
But looks promising and I will install it as soon as I can I love aosp Roms
i try installing rom, stuck on MI logo.
clear/wipe everything nothing help.

Beat me to it, I wondered how long it would take before someone asked this question
Concerning the multiple booting problems - was a problem for me too - till once I flashed global developer rom via miflash. Since that time I am able to even dirtyflash all en-, de-or somehow crypted roms
See some questons, won't do quotes
1) Hmm i've tried all en/de-cryption stuffs before pushing here builds, thre is no issues at least with official twrp
2) Rom is being updated for 1.5 months, i was too lazy to push to xda
3) Rom based on https://github.com/ezio84 with some required patches
Trying to stick to pure aosp as much as possible
My sources and trees arein first post, trees are based on lineage ones with customized kernel
That's all i see, feel free to find me in telegram (nickname is same)
