Micro usb memory like this? - Moto G Accessories

Someone knows if exist a microUSB memory like those wireless chargers
http*://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41CSlqqW5CL.jpg
(delete * please)
like this but instead a small memory or what is better option for moto g without memory slot
Regards

It seems that the motog has an OTG micro usb port, so it's possible that such a device exist. However haven't seen one so far. But if you're good at DIY stuff, it's not a very bid deal to make your own ! Just buy a male micro usb plug and a micro sd car, solder everything together and there you go
It may not look as clean as your picture, but should work like a charm You could even add a cms del to see when the phone is using it !

OTG
The moto g suppots all the usb memories incluides the micro SD to USB adapter if you have the micro USB to USB Host.

anyone knows how these .sandisk dot com/products/usb/dualdrive (sorry , cant post the full link ) work with the moto g ? (1st gen)
can for example be used to record video from the phone cam directly there or only move the file to there after being saved in . the phone memory ?

Dual usb port drive does not work in my KitKat 4.4 moto g 1st gen. I tested. The phone switches off itself when plugged in with USB stick.

I just bought microusb to usb adapter cable and that worked fine. If you attach a flash drive it works like an external sdcard. I believe there are microusb to sdcard adapters as well.

Solved. The problem was with mounting and unmounting. Once dual usb fixed firmly and mounted problem resolves.

SD card reader?

Hey guys, is there an external card reader that would plug into the micro USB port on the captivate? I've been searching for a while but all I can find is micro SD to SD card adapters when I would like to import photos from a camera right into the phone
It would be a shame to have to just use micro SD cards to use the internal slot. Thanks!

I dont know of one that exists. But if youre trying to import your pictures you are going to be better off just inserting the micro sd into your phone and then copying all the image files to the phone. Its essentially the same process you would do if you had an external SD card reader except you actually have to put the SD card in the phone.
here u go.

I'm not sure that there is such a beast that would plug into the microUSB, and if there was, I'm not certain that the Captivate has the functionality/interface to read and copy from the microUSB Slot. I'm pretty sure you need the computer as a go-between if the microSD isn't in the phone itself.
I think your best bet is directly putting the microSD from the Camera into the Cappy or you'll have to upload them to the computer first, then to the phone. Sorry
I've always wanted something like that, its a great idea but such a thing doesn't exist. Closest thing would be to get the flash drive adapter with the microSD slot built in.

Yeah, that's not really possible. For one thing it's a jack, not a plug. For another, it would need to power the device attached to it while still being able to be powered from the same port for charging. For another, it would need to be able to configure as a device or a host which would really be hard. And another, it would need to have drivers for SD readers, FAT, NTFS, and all kinds of other things.
this would probably be you best bet

Wow. I stand corrected. That's a really flexible controller chip. They should have shown a backup battery being used as well in the pics too.
a kernel with USB HOST mode,
a USB OTG cable
a USB to micro USB cable
a USB card reader
a SD to microSD adapter.
and you can do exactly what you want....
but you will need a back pack to carry all your cables and adapters.
One step could be saved with this

But nobody sells it, and who wants to splice USB cables?

This part is odd:
- With own browser and ES browser
- File system format: FAT32 (does not support NTFS)
in general for any phone or tablet
an external hardrive like 1 or 1.5TB with USB will be a dream, u can power the drive with extra USB. But what about powering device with the screen? I think it will run out of juice much faster in this kind of setup. Your thoughts?
From the research I have done, it requires an org cable, an USB y-cable for hooking up an external power, and a from with org support. The two cables can be found on Amazon for 2-5$. You could use any USB charger or for portability... get one of the battery packs with USB output. Portable, but it is a lot to carry around.
You can also use a powered USB hub in place of the y cable.

[Q] Can I transfer photos from camera to GNex?

Can I transfer photos from my camera to a Nexus over USB?
When I search I find lots about transferring pictures from the Nexus to a computer, but nothing about camera to GNex, so I'm probably missing some obvious search term. I don't yet have the phone so I can't test.
Of course you can.
Just find a mini to micro USB cable and plug into camera and Nexus?
thanks
There seem to be apps to view RAW files (nef, cr2, etc.), so I take it there's no native support?

Aha!
Are there micro usb to mini usb otg cables? The closest I can find is micro male to standard usb female ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Data-Cable-...ccessories&hash=item43b0e7fd2f#ht_3011wt_1066 ), to which I'd attach a mini to standard USB cable
Root phone and get stickmount
voilà
I would find a right angle micro usb otg cable. And I haven't seen an otg cable that had a mini out on from the micro side

USB OTG Cable [UK]

Now that JB is out for the One X I want to get a USB OTG cable.
Can anyone who has one tested and working for plugging into an external hard drive (a 1tb externally powered Toshiba drive) post a link in the UK of where to get one? This will enable me to transfer files, photos and videos etc from the hard drive quickly / easily.
Ideally from amazon or someone like that - I don't fancy guessing which ones will work etc, it would be great to only buy one!
Many thanks in advance
i couldn't connect it external hard drive ( i think hard drive needs more Electricity ) but it works with flash memories fine
I think an OTG cable is an OTG cable... I just tried the one that came with my USB keyboard folio case I use with my Nexus 7, which works fine with the HOX now its updated to the new HBoot/kernel.

true, any otg cable should work if it's really otg, however you should get a usb powered one for a hard drive if the hard drive does not have a y split cable.

I'm using a standard usb otg cable from amazon. I have an external powered hdd(2gb)(I believe it must be self powered anyways) and using the app called usb otg helper to make ntfs work with android.

Ahh - thank you!!
I have a Bytestor 4gb FAT32 stick that works fine with no extra power etc, but I tried my 1TB external powered hard drive and it failed
I only just realised it is NTFS to avoid the 4gb limit for files for videos etc.
So if I install USB OTG Helper I can use NTFS? Nice - that needs Root though - how can you use NTFS drives if you are not-rooted and stock JB?
oh, and I just got one of the standard USB OTB cables off Amazon for £3 and it worked fine. As others said, just buy any of them they probably work fine!

I just use a regular OTG cable.
bought cable from eBay and seems its working fine, the only problem is that if i connect usb flash with files on it sometimes it deletes most of files. that happened with my cars USB flash, i tried to connect it to manage some music but it deleted about 3GB of 4GB music...
can anybody tell me why is this happening?

Usb otg and note 7

Is it possible on stock device? I have tried all my tricks, no luck so far. Thanks for any idea on how to make it work.

Using the usbc adapter. I have also tried fat32, the otg device is still not detected. I have tried stick mount but that fc instantly when I select mount.

Something wrong with your port? It works fine for me with the included adapter. Suggest you try on a store display model for comparison.

How it respond when u put it in?
All right. I am getting somewhere I think. Otg does work with the usbc to usb adapter (the big one). It's some long setup here as I have a microsdcard enclosure plugged into regular usb adapter (for pc) and now this usbc to usb adapter. But it works! However, the c to micro usb adapter (the small one) doesn't work unfortunately.

I was testing this today, trying to connect a USB memory stick, and it didn't work with the USB on the Go adapter
Note 7 might need something different to be compatible with USB sticks
Mine worked no problem. With USB to USB-c adapter I plugged in a USB stick and it came up instantly. I even have a 6 in one card adapter that's USB I put I an SD card plugged it in and it came right up. Now the USB-C to micro USB adapter is not OTG certified I had to by one off Amazon that was so I could use my seek thermal camera that is a micro USB camera. With the Samsung provided adapter it will not work.
Well I know last time i tested mine it work fine then I picked it up in a safe location just in case I need it and used the one I bought on ebay call Rankie. Imo it could be a bad port as mention, could be a bad adapter, or something else. I have not tested it with my microsd card adapter to the usb adapter....
Fyi...plug device into the connector first then plug the connector with device attached to the phone.

USB-C Hub - no keyboard/mouse or HDMI signal

Hey guys,
I got me an Aukey 4 USB+HDMI, USB-C hub. I've plugged it in but can't get anything to happen. I plug in a USB wireless mouse, nothing happens. I plug in a USB keyboard, nothing, no lights on shift lock/num lock, nothing. I plugged in an HDMI cable and, although the screen seems to be getting signal (It doesn't auto-power save) i can't get anything to show on it.
Have I bought an incompatible hub? Am i not doing something important?
Thanks!
are you conecting it directly? I tried to read a sd card just using the little adapter and a card adapter, and, could not, then tried with the BIG ONE included, this time it worked, mi conclusion is that you need always this BIG adapter in order to read external, mouse, keyboard, etc.
The little one is not usb otg compatible!!!

But then what would be the point of USB-C port if you have to adapt it back to a standard USB port? In addition, you would probably also lose the video functionality.....
I'm beginning to wonder if I needed to buy a powered USB-C hub?
edit: btw, I have a USB-C micro-SD card reader and it works fine directly connected although, it only works one way up, so much for being a reversible format!
From what I know Note 7 don't has MHL, so cannot connect to HDMI.
