Hello guys, is there anyone can help me on what to do to my tab. i rooted my tab properly few months ago and then when my brother borrowed it. He download the system update. Now all of my rooted apps are disabled and it says that i need to reroot again. im just worried that it wont be the same if i reroot it.

im really wondering why in the world after i upgraded and root my note 2 to N7100XXALJ1 my multitasking screen is gone ..
before rooting the multitasking is there ,, after rooting it went missing ..

Thought mine had disappeared too but long holding the back key opens and closes the widget. May just be as simple as that
I just tried to check for updates on my Note 2 and get a pop up that says
Your device has been modified.
Software updates are not available.
The only thing I've done is root the phone so how do I get the multitasking update which my phone didn't ship with?
Ok i have my note2 tmobile us version for 3 days now. 8 don't even see the multitask option. Can anyone point it out? Mine is not rooted yet and the paper manual only has the basic mumbo jumbo, mostly common android stuff.

OP: did you root, or did you install a pre-rooted rom?
some older pre-rooted roms don't have the update yet.
the solution is to install a newer rom and use a rooting method that doesn't replace the entire rom.
bangsters: did you try updating?
most notes shipped with an older rom that didn't support it yet.

In order to fix this problem, you need to go into your settings and enable your multiwindow option. After the root, for some reason it undoes that capability.

it wont help u sort your wifi and signal problem .. when u unroot problem will presist.. rooting doesnt mean it fcuk up your phone .. it only disable restrictions .. it is like u have firewall on your laptop at home in windows m ?
if u STILL want unroot just flash latest ROM it will unroot your p6

A bold statement, very much depends on why the phone was rooted & what's been done to it while rooted. What's been installed, what settings have been fiddled with in build.prop?
Try installing firmware B122, then factory reset and start afresh....

Second of all, i unrooted my phone a while back waiting on the 4.3 update. Of course, the update came in and im bored with my phone but i have been out of the loop for a while now. I am wondering has anything changed and what is the best way to root my phone on 4.3? Can i still use qbkings method from a while ago or is there a more efficient way? Thanks in advance for your answers!!

After you root you will have to reinstall or update SuperSU from the play store. Once you run it a second time you should have root. Read the last 3 or 4 pages of the thread for more info.
Be aware that the knox bootloader flag will be set to 1 which tells Sprint/Samsung your phone has been modified. There is currently no way to restore this flag.
Hello my names Aaron, I rooted my galaxy tab 3 (sm-t217s) a little bit ago then unrooted just because my wifi wasnt turning on.. I had to do a stock restore through odin to get it all working again. When I did that I got the new kitkat update and gladly updated it. Now again though I want to root it so I can again do all the great things you can do with rooting!
So my questions are:
Can I root it running 4.4.2 the same way I did when I was running 4.2.2? Will it brick it if I just put on a custom recovery the same way as before and let that install superSU?
I would just like to know and if not then is there another way currently to root it?
I couldnt find anything about it that is why I am posting about it.. must not be a very common tablet?

Either use towelroot to root from within android or you can still flash twrp from Odin and root that way. Twrp may set warranty bit, mine was was already tripped so I can't say dor sure if it does.

I used towelroot on my tablet, it does what it has to do. Does not reboot, but when I use Root Checker it says that I do not have root.....any suggestions?
I was rooted with towel root fine under the June 2014 update to 4.4.2, but I mistakenly took the update to NH4 while rooted. My device seems to be fine, but I lost root and Towel root will not seem to root me again, no way, no how. My warranty bit is clean, and I don't want to trip it, but I'd love to have root back. Is there anyything I can do on NH4 from within Android to get root back? TIA
How did you do an unroot through Odin and which version of Towelroot did you use to root it again? I have the same tablet.
I have SM-T217S running Kitkay 4.4.2. I've tried almost every root app there is (Kingo, Towel, ect.). They all say my device isn't compatible. And when I go to update under settings, it says that my device is running unauthorized software and that I need to use Samsung kies to flash. But it has no root & no custom software, everything is normal. I have tried using computer to root but still nothing. What could I do to fix it?

Can anyone please link or direct me to the right instructions on how to fix it?

Install on another unrooted device. Root it. Make a Titanium Backup of snapchat and restore on your phone.
Working here on viper.? It was a titanium but was previously installed on that rom.
