I got one..but I just found that headset is not working ?

i got one from China, can't do anything. I only got Amazon App Store installed. No Google framework, no Google Play, no way to root right now.

That sounds like a badnews. Any news from Australia?
I am waiting patiently here in Indonesia. or should I move on?

Should be great device! Maybe even Windows can be installed in the future

the specs sound good but the lack of expendable storage makes it terribly unappealing for me. to bad, it sounds and looks nice.

Space is not so important nowadays.
I'm buying also a mi WiFi mini to be able to mount a network with a USB storage attached. It is not like an inner card but speed should not be an issue, and it should be easy to free space for whatever you want.
Anyway, it can be an issue on apps requiring a lot of space.

There is now a way to install Google Play on the Nokia N1. That being said, I used my Nokia N1 just fine with every desired app, except Google stuff but there were more than enough decent alternatives to appease me. I used MoboGenie and Aptoid as my stores. Amazon's Store isn't very good, not only is their selection slim but they don't keep their apps as up to date as MoboGenie. So when you say you can't do anything that was a little melodramatic on your part, being able to install everything Android offers except Google's stuff isn't the end of the world.
Chrome - Opera / FireFox / Maxthon / Dolphin
Hangouts - Viber / Skype / FaceBook Messenger / BlackBerry Messenger (BBM)
Gmail - MS Outlook / Cloud Mail / Aqua Mail / K10 Mail
Google Docs/Sheets/Slides - MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint / WPSOffice / OfficeSuite
Google Maps - Nokia Here
Google Camera - Camera FV-5 / Cinema FV-5
Google Play NewsStand - Flipboard / Freely / News 360
Google Drive - OneDrive / DropBox / Box / Mega (or just use FX File Explorer to access all of them at once)
Google + - FaceBook / Instagram/ Google+ web site
Google Keep - EverNote / MS OneNote
Google SnapSeed - PicsArt / Pixlr / Aviary / Fotor
Google Fit - MS Health / FitBit
YouTube - Viral PopUp / YouTube web site / (there are just tons of more apps in this area)
Google Play Movies Music - NetFlix / HBO Go / Amazon Prime / Kodi (XBMC), Spotify, SoundCloud, Deezer (also tons of apps in this area)
I just listed the most used Google apps and as you can see, all of the alternatives listed are not only decent apps but most are actually better than what Google offers. You can also just access most of Google services with just using their web apps. "Can't do anything", you're probably right, YOU, couldn't do anything because, YOU refused to do any research on the matter. Did you even read any of the reviews or watch a few YouTube videos on the Nokia N1 before buying, every single one said, it doesn't have the Google Play Store, yet people like you bought them and than came here to complain about it, stating how useless it was without Googles Services. Wow, I mean just wow.

Nokia N1 India launch date
I'm waiting for this. When the table will be available in India. Please Nokia release as soon as possible in india.

Nokia N1 tablet with 7.90-inch 2048x1536 display powered by 2.3GHz processor alongside 2GB RAM and 8-megapixel rear camera. The phone is awesome.

I know the USB Type C port only has USB 2.0 support for data transfer. Has anyone investigated tablet charging from the Type C port on a desktop or laptop to see if the tablet supports any of the advanced power delivery advantages? It would be nice if the Type C port made it possible to charge the tablet faster.

My N1 from Expansys USA was in a plain brown (obviously not retail unit) box with a wall wart outputting 2.0 amps at 5V from a Type A USB port and a Type A to Type C cable. I realize 2A at 5V is Profile 1 of the USB Power Delivery specification, but is it possible that the wall wart just happens to be hard wired to output 2A and that the tablet does not use the spec? An electrical outlet adapter had been thrown into the shipping box but I don't know why because the wall wart fits fine into a United States electrical outlet.
There is what I assume is a quick start guide entirely in Chinese. There is plastic loosely wrapped around the tablet and around its packaging - no shrink wrap. Is it likely some unknown business bought a bunch of N1 tablets and then manually installed software (assuming it does have Google services) on them for resale through Expansys? I'm a bit leary of using software of unknown origin.

I also got the expansys unit.
I believe that you are correct, they likely got a batch of Chinese units, updated the software and repackaged. Unit seems new.
I didn't try to charge it yet but I got the same electrical adapter as you.
Can I not use the adapter?

After some research, I think I've come upon the answer. Although the wall wart fits into a US electrical outlet, it is actually a plug used with a type of ungrounded/unpolarized outlet in China. Outlets in the US are always polarized, and usually grounded. Expansys USA probably automatically throws in the adapter for every device with that type of Chinese plug. You should use the adapter in the USA so that the plug is grounded when charging.
I usually charge my phones through the USB ports on my computer (which is protected by a UPS/power supply adaptor) rather directly to an outlet where they can be damaged by electrical spikes. Most phones do fine with the 900mA delivered through a USB 2.0 port, but of course the larger battery in the N1 warrants the 2.0A current provided by the wall wart. For all we know, 900mA charging current could be detrimental to the battery longevity. I might use the wall wart and adapter myself until I get a new computer with USB 3.1 ports that can deliver 2A (assuming the type C port on the N1 is not limited to USB 2.0 spec for power the same way it is for data).

I like the display, it is amazing.

Review of MHL micro-usb to HDMI adapter w/remote and lots of pics!!!

This is a review of MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) micro-usb to HDMI adapter with a remote: http://www.tvc-mall.com/details/MHL...TV-Adpater-Cable-with-Remote-Control-PCA-380/ and High Speed HDMI v1.4 male-to-male cable: http://www.tvc-mall.com/details/V1....XBOX360-Bluray-Disc-HDTV-DVD-Black-PCA-4196D/
If you guys think this is going to be just another HDMI adapter you have seen so many times in the forum - it's not! Typical adapters have a small converter unit with a male HDMI connector, micro-usb power input, and a cable with micro-usb connector going to your phone. Sure it works, but if you to connect it to your TV you have to fumble around to plug it in in the back panel connecting all the wires in blind or get female-to-male extension cord, and also once you connect the phone - you have to control it by going over to tap that pause button. Well, this MHL adapter got a few bonuses to make it unique.
The main unit is your typical converter which has micro-usb power input, extension cord with micro-usb connector going to the phone, and HDMI connector which is actually female instead of typical male. I think its actually to the advantage because male-to-male HDMI cables are more common than male-to-female extension chords. If you already have one, then you have nothing to worry about, but if you don't I included in my review such high speed cable (v1.4) which is of a fantastic quality, high durability, gold-plated connectors, and for $3 from tvc-mall - its a great value. The micro-usb connector going to the phone is actually 5-pin connector to make this adapter more universal with other phones. But have no worry if you have S3/N2/S4 with 11-pin micro-usb connector. In the package also included a very short 5-pin to 11-pin adapter which seamlessly integrates with a connector, just leave it on since we need to use it with Note 2. You will need to connect power source to keep it happy which also chargers your phone, although as you can see from the pictures recognized as USB source rather than AC (typical for these adapters). Of course, the big bonus in here is a remote control!!! You get all your typical Android control buttons, a separate play/pause/stop, and directional navigation buttons with ok/enter. When you sitting on the couch away from your TV where the phone is connected, to be able to control video stream or navigation is priceless!
Overall, both the adapter and cables (if you don't have one already) are the great value and with a bonus of remote control - make a killer combination for connecting your phone to TV and being able to control it from a distance. I personally was very happy with this order from tvc-mall.
Here are the pictures.

I assume you are not running CyanogenMod or any AOSP-based ROM, because AFAIK, they don't work with MHL/HDMI output. Are you running a stock Samsung ROM?
Thanks much!
Is your TV seeing 720p from the combo?

I'm stock, not rooted.
TV should see 720p from the phone. In my particular setup I have an old big screen Sony tube TV without hdmi, so I'm using hdmi to AV converter and because of old 4:3 resolution everything gets a bit messed up but I'm not complaining

Honestly, it's no different than ordering from ebay. With tvc-mall you do have to pay for shipping, but it's not that much and often the more you buy the cheaper shipping per item. But you will also notice their prices are a lot more cheaper than others so shipping cost is offset. Plus, the more stuff you buy the cheaper it is. I have ordered from them for awhile now (all my "almost real" cases were from there - although they don't officially carry it anymore, but unofficially it never hurts to ask them in email ). Even got a roll up drum kit toy for my kids the last time, and placing another order now for a few bluetooth small speakers, some 3.5mm cables, some toys, etc.. Plus, I just ordered a few more of those short usb cables with built in micro-sd card reader (the one I reviewed in my "smiley" cable review); I want to check it out if another cable will work with micro-sd since it didn't work with my original one.
If/when you place an order with them, chime in and share your experience.
Have you noticed any flickering? I've tried 2 different TV's, and only got it to work consistently once. Other times it shows the screen, then after a few seconds, flashes like it lost connect and comes back on.

Are we talking about exactly the same MHL adapter with Note 2 (stock, not rooted)? I can only speak for that setup and it works perfect. I only saw flickering using this setup with Galaxy S4 which has MHL v2 standard. With the setup above it was solid.
What I would suggest first to make sure all the cables are connected properly. What you describing is sounds almost like an intermittent behavior of a loose cable connection. HDMI cables usually have a sturdier connection, but check that anyway. Usually micro-usb is where you get it loose. Another thing to check is the power connection. If you are using 500mA wall charger that will not be enough to power it up, you will be current starving the converter. I was using my 2A oem wall charger.
Good luck!
Exact same adapter (I bought it after seeing your review), but I am running a different Rom (CleanRom 5.0). All connections are fine on the TV side, and I've replugged in the micro-usb (with adapter) into the N2 a few times, with same results. The wall charger should be good as well. Using the GCC app, I get a 1800 avg current.
Will test it more in depth tonight.

I've only had time to try it once more, and it worked continuously for hours. Haven't changed anything on my phone, used the same cables. Will report back after I test it a few more times.
I got mine in the mail and it charges the phone but thats about it.
Bought it 2 days before but i didnt got it to work... :-/
I m in stock rom but rooted...
any ideas..?
are you guys using 5-to-11 adapter? Also, try to play around with powering it up first and then connecting hdmi cable versus connecting cable first and then powering it up. I actually used mine yesterday and it was working for awhile until my tv started to flicker which suggested connection was getting loose somewhere. Plus, I was playing on non-HD tv with hdmi to component converter and was using 1A external battery to power up this guy. So the power is used for both MHL converter and my HDMI converter, and I'm thinking maybe I should have used 2A charger for it... So just another suggestion maybe to make sure you use higher current charger to power it up?
No Luck for Me on N2 w/CleanRom 5.0
Well, I've had no luck at all. Purchased and received, hooked up as directed with OEM charger to rooted N2 running CleanRom 5.0. Not even a flicker on the Visio set I hooked it to. Phone acknowledges it is being charged, though the microUSB connectors (particularly on the adapter piece) seem a bit sketchy. But no matter what sequence I use to hook up, the TV never indicates even a flicker. Any other suggestions? Any setting on phone that triggers HDMI out? I use USB drives and devices without a hitch otherwise. The MHL Unit lights up and indicates it receives signals from the remote. I just never get a flicker on the TV.
Me neither...tried the 2amp charger also but no luck at all... I ve contacted the supplier and asked for a new one..(have to wait for a couple of weeks.. :-/ ) will try again then...
Is there any possibility that the problem is because we are ''rooted''..?
Better News!
:good: For those having trouble, I'm posting again to report I finally got mine working (except for the remote)! So it's not a problem with being rooted OR with running a custom ROM (at least CleanRom). I don't know about Cyanogen, or others that are not based on/derived from the orginal stock ROM, but I'm delighted to report that it works as gloriously as vectron indicated. As I indicated in my post above, the way the micro-USB connectors went together seemed sketchy to me, but I discovered that's where the problem lies -- and I'm guessing the same is true for others who have experienced failure like me.
I did more research and watched demo vids, etc. and paid close attention to how the parts went together. The key for me was to go ahead and force (gently but firmly) the 5 to 11 adapter ALL THE WAY into the phone jack. Mine didn't go in easily, and I was spooked to push too hard, but in the end that's what I had to do. When I pushed past the resistance and finally seated it firmly and fully flush with the bottom of the phone, VOILA!, the recognition message came up and immediately the HDMI was output to the TV. Both sound and audio worked really fine. It's pretty amazing when you see it work.
One note about the connectors. There is still a space between the 5-11 adapter and the MHL device plug. On mine at least, this connects WITHOUT being fully flush. BUT, as noted above, the adapter needs to be fully flush with the bottom of the phone. Hope this works for the rest of you. It is sweet if you get it working. vecron was correct, the key in in the connectors. They are finicky, but if you get them right, it works like a charm.
Especially when you are dealing with 11 months old Note 2 where you put a lot of wear''n'tear mileage on that micro-usb phone connector That's my problem
Regarding remote, not too insult your intelligence, I think there was a piece of plastic stuck in battery compartment so make sure its out for remote to work. Another point, that remote is not RF but rather IR (infrared) which requires direct visual contact with receiver element so you gotta make sure to point remote to that space on the converter. Hopefully that will fix your problem.

A MUST have tool to figure out faster charging of your phone/tablet, w/lots of pics!

With probably over a hundred of gadget and accessory reviews, this is the first time I'm making such a bold statement. Yes, I do consider this as one of the MUST have tools for any smartphone users. This is Charger Doctor, USB amp-volt tester I just got from DX.com : http://dx.com/p/usb-av-usb-power-current-voltage-tester-translucent-blue-silver-235090 and this little guy is only $5.99
How many times we seen posts asking "my phone is not charging fast enough" or "I have a bunch of usb cables and old chargers, which one to use"? I lost a count. When it comes to chargers, at least those get labeled, although some are "mislabeled" or get degraded after months of use. Why do you think our phone is charging slow? Its the current output of your charger AND usb cables you are using. The charging formula is very simple, capacity of your battery in 'mAh' / rating of your charger in 'mA' = to get time in 'h' to charge. The number is usually approximated since nothing is ideal due to efficiency loses. So how do you find this perfect combo of charger and cables to give you the fastest charging speed? Use Charger Doctor!!!
This is a very simple little pass-through usb dongle. For those who know anything about electronics, and I actually took the case apart and snapped a few shots for your to appreciate the guts of it, or anybody who just have an open mind - the principle of this device is simple. You have full size usb input and output with interconnected power and signal, but power will go through a sensing resistor to measure voltage drop for calculating the current (ohm's law of V = I * R). I'm just guessing by looking at this gadget, it has some DAC to convert and to output the reading on a small led display which shows your Voltage reading and I-current reading. Here is a catch, since its full usb - it will connect between your charger and usb cable so you are NOT measuring at the output of the cable going into the phone. By using free Galaxy charging app you can approximately see the drop between the charger and going through the cable. Plus, this way you can "calibrate" the cable loss if you want to use this setup with another tablet or smartphone, other then Galaxy type.
In simple words for those who might not be following my technical explanation, just gather all your chargers and cables, and test different combinations to find the highest current reading you can get. KEEP in mind, when this little gadget is plugged in, it will draw its own current to power up dac and LED display, that is why you will see an additional drop when you compare reading with just a charger and a cable, and with this Charger Doctor in-between So once you find a perfect combo, unplug this dongle because it will "slow" down your charging by funneling some of the current. To demonstrate what I mean, I have a little presentation below with combination of 2 wall chargers and 3 pairs of cables, and took comparison pictures with Charger Doctor and without it. Keep in mind, this might not be 100% accurate, but it will give you a really good idea. As you can see, I found that one of the usb cables (black one) was the worst one, and the best combination of charging speed was using original Samsung OEM wall charger and yellow usb cable from UE boom. I hope they will also release a similar device with micro-usb in and out, but even with full size usb - for $5.99 its one cool gadget! Also, if you have solar powered charger - this will be a must where it will help you greatly to find a sweet sunny spot for a maximum current charge.
Here are the pics.

And for EE or hobby geeks:
Great timing with your post of this, vectron. I have a knock-off version of the same unit that I got off of ebay. I am actually in the process of making my own micro usb version that I can use in between the charge cable and the phone. I am awaiting for parts to arrive from china, so it will still be a while. Up until I took it apart and removed the usb ports, I was using it in between the charger and cable and it worked great. I agree that it is a "must have", especially for those trying to figure out an ideal charger/cable combination.....

Post details of your DIY!!! micro-usb update will be highly desirable!!! One connector is surface mount, the other one is through-hole on this device. Definitely feasible to remove and white-wire with micro-usb
I just recently got one of these as well. I highly recommend it. The only one of its kind at a reasonable price.

Relatively speaking yes. But Galaxy Charging current app only works with Samsung Galaxy phones, and for example you will have to buy premium version to use it with older models like S3. And if you want to figure out your charging current on Nexus or any other tablet or iDevice - this voltage/current meter will still work without a need for an app. Also, very important, keep in mind that app gives you total current through the charger and the wire. Those are 2 variable and you will not know which one is bad until you break it up. Thus using both voltage/current meter and app gives you the most info when you troubleshooting your connection.
This is super cool! Great write up! Gotta get one or 12.
The fact that they can design, develop, test, manufacture, distribute and ship this product from China to the U.S. and cover PP/CC fees all for $5.99 is absolutely mind boggling.
I could barely ship a pencil down the street for $5.99...

And probably considering that components in there all together cost under $3. All those products are manufactured in big quantities and they probably make very little profit on each unit.

Not for me.
Based on Vectron's review, I ordered and received one from Amazon. I love it.
The information is interesting: on my Note 2, I use the app Galaxy Charging current lite
and it always reported '1680 mA' (yes, I kept hitting 'refresh'), while the usb current gadget displayed 1.1 A (and yes, I connected to a 2A wall charger).
So the app is not accurate.
I ask the creator of Galaxy Charging Current about using it on Note 2, and here's the reply:
As far as I know the device does not provide that info, and the app has no way to guess it, unfortunately.

Huh? I'm pretty sure I got some readings when running it on my Note 2... I already uninstalled it as it wasn't accurate.
really nice...
looks to me like the galaxy charging current app average (in mAh) is pretty accurate when compared to the charger doctor...good to know, albeit it rounds up.

The charging formula is very simple, capacity of your battery in 'mAh' / rating of your charger in 'mA' = to get time in 'h' to charge.

uh... no. While your algebra is correct, mAh/mA = h is only true if all other things are equal. All other things, in this case, being voltage. And they are not equal. The voltage of your battery is somewhere between 3.6 and 4.2 volts. The voltage of your *USB* charger is always 5 volts.
So to get the total amount of time it would take to charge your phone... you need POWAH!!!! (power)
Power (watts) = volts * amps
Total amount of power in my Galaxy S3's battery:
3.8v * 2100mAh = 7980mWh = 7.98Wh
Total amount of power being delivered by my Samsung USB charger:
5v * 1A = 5W
Total amount of time required to fully charge a completely dead Galaxy S3 battery, using a Samsung charger:
7.98Wh / 5W = 1.596h = 1 hour, 35 minutes, 45 seconds.
*gets very annoyed when people do not understand electricity*
**also, don't go around telling people "it's not the volts that kills you, it's the amps!" - it's neither. it's the watts.**

I agree, but you are missing a point. While a handful of people will understand these details, and not to insult everybody else - majority needs a simple basic "concept" formula to round off calculation, not to mention for some english is not even a first language. Otherwise, you need to continue with more formula correction factors to take into account heat dissipation and efficiency of conversion, and so on. Oh, also keep in mind that majority of people charge their phone when it's on and probably syncing all their social media updates in the background among other things that drain your battery while charging. How about factor in people using PC usb cables instead of a quality 24AWG gauge wire cables? Or all of those cheap ebay ac adapters? And so on...
Just makes it easy to simplify the equation instead of preaching EE101. No reason to get annoyed, especially around Holiday season Just trying to help people with hundreds of my reviews here on XDA

I get that you would want to simplify it to provide a rough estimate, and it makes sense to leave out things like heat dissipation and efficiency of conversion because of how small and insignificant of a difference that they make. But h = mAh / mA isn't simplified, it's wrong. I could say something like "h = mA * 2", and it would be very simple, but it would be completely wrong. Not a rough estimate. Just a number that means absolutely nothing.
And my correct formula isn't that much more complicated. If you can understand h = mAh / mA, you can understand h = (mAh * v) / (mA * v).
And the quality of a USB cable will make absolutely no difference in the speed of charging. Either it can handle 5-10 watts, and it charges just fine, or it can't handle 5-10 watts, has too much internal resistance, heats up, and melts/catches fire. The quality of a USB cable can affect things like EMI, signal interference, latency and timing, and can be important when you are trying to extend a cable over large distances, but it will have absolutely no effect on the amount of current transmitted by your charger, and thus the amount of time it takes to charge.
Hmm, if you don't think the impedance of 24awg wire versus 32awg wire used in typical pc usb cable makes no difference in voltage drop due to resistance at 2A current sink during Note 2 charging, then sorry mate. EMI, signal interference, that's were you need electronic choke in a form of popular ferrite beads used in quality cables like from monoprice.
I didn't say anything about your formula being incorrect. I'm just saying for rounding thing off having a simplified formula makes more sense for a ballpark calculation. If you think about it, your calculation is theoretical, but in reality it will take almost 2hr to charge your battery due to other imperfection factors and variation. So as I said, for a practical purpose simplified formula (even so it's not correct) makes more sense.
So buddy, let's agree to disagree

Secondary Charger

Is there any charge cables or adapters out there that are not genuine Samsung that will charge the Tab S properly? It seems like the only way I can get a normal charge is using the wall adapter and cable it came with. I have tried 3 different after market cables and 3 different wall adapters that don't seem to work with the Tab S. Are these wall adapter or cables just not putting out enough power?
Not really, I haven't found anything that will charge it properly except it's original charger. The sad thing is, the original charger is not widely sold. Something Samsung has been struggling with.

This is MHL compliant. 2Ah, 5,3V. Most newer chargers for tablets do that. Including those cheepo ones from China. I have several of those (some multi USB chargers) which work well on the Tab S.
Staples near me was closing down, I got an original Samsung 2 Amp travel charger for 3 bucks, normally $23.00 marked down to $9.00 and when they rang it up at the register it came up as $3.00. I agree any 2 Amp 5.3 V charger should work to charge the Tab S.
Sorry to bump an old thread but has anyone else had luck with aftermarket chargers?
I have the 10.5" , I have a usb power meter and it shows my original charger charges my tablet at up to 1800ma , not bad for a 2000 ma charger, I have tried a couple of other third-part chargers they are rated at 2000ma + and they only charge my tab at 1000ma , but my Nokia 1020 charger that is 1500ma charges my tab at 1400ma so that is very good for that charger, it`s an Nokia AC60X , I wonder if Nokia does an 2000ma version of this charger.

I installed 2 110v recepticles, one on each side of the bed, that each have 2 USB connections. The USB plugs on it are rated for 2 amps each. Using the factory charging cable these things work great. Both mine and my wife's charge just fine using them.
Also have a 5v 2 amp USB wall wart that came with an ecig battery and it works fine too.
Do you know the make and model number? , they sound very handy to have.
Thanks

Nope I sure don't but I did buy them a Lowe's at about 19.00 each. They have one 110V outlet and two USB ports. I have also seen a device you just plug into your existing outlet that will give you 2 USB and 2 110V outlets but I don't know how they are rated for current. Just make sure what you buy is rated at 2Amps for EACH USB port or 4+amps total.
I love mine! Charge the S10.5 and the Galaxy S4 every night on it!
Is this the one, the only one i can find on the site.

Nope that is a plug into the existing outlet type of thing. Mine was a replacement receptacle. I looked at Lowe's and Home Depot sites and could not find one that was rated at 2 amps for each USB port. 3.6 Amps was the best I could do. I know the one I bought is rated for 4.2 amps overall as this was the very reason I bought it! Pretty sure it came from Lowe's or Home Depot they're the only two places in town. I do know that I didn't find it online. I remember being in the store and looking at every one they had and reading the specs on each box and I found the ones I have so I scarfed them up as soon as I saw they were rated for 4.2 amps.
BUT - That one you found should be fine and save you from having to hard wire it. Just remember, only one port is optimized for 2.1 amps! I have to go to Lowe's today so I might pick one up for the kitchen as my wife uses an old Toshiba tablet for recipes and that would be convenient for her.
I am in the UK so i would have to buy a UK version, but a lot of company's make products for more than one country, sometimes under a different name, but getting a charge that charges at full speed is not easy to find, they are a lot of brands that do not work.
Maybe i should look for iPad compatibility as apple products are notoriously hard to charge at full speed using third-party chargers.
Try the app below, and see what kind of charging speed you get, remember you will only get the fastest charge to around 80% then the tablet slows the current down lower and lower till it hits 100%
You have to manually presw the refresh the free version, the full version is only 50p in UK money.

Thanks for the info on the app! I went through flashing about 6 ROMs this weekend trying to find one that didn't cause such slow charging. Using this app, I discovered it was the cable I was using. I have two original Samsung chargers, and with good cables, they both change the tab at 1800ma. The old cable I had only showed 500ma.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/BlackBerry-...1434981326&sr=8-5&keywords=blackberry+charger
This is what I use, it was reduced to £1.95 so I got 4 of them. I will check it later with the app but it charges a little faster than the one that came in the box.
This is what I get from the charger I linked above.
GTCC, so you get 1108mah not that good, did you give long enough for the average to build-up.
John.
This maybe just a side comment but prior to buying a SM-T00 I owned a Nexus 10. I was going to buy a second charger for my Tab S but tried my Nexus 10 charger and it charges just as fast as the charger that my Tab S comes with. Maybe Nexus 10 OEM chargers are a cheaper alternative on ebay.

USB v3.1, Type-C 1.0 - Does it mean data, or tv out, and charge at same time?

I'm a little confused. I thought usb C would bring a bunch of functionality standard USB cannot. Functions such as the ability to HDMI/TV Out and charge at the same time and data and charge at the same time are awesome. We saw it with the Lumia phones but I have not seen mention of it with the new HTC 10.
Is it possible the HTC 10 can function similarly to the Lumia's and HDMI/TV Out and charge and or data and charge at the same time?
I guess I answered my own question. Lisa from mobiletechreview did a smackdown against the Galaxy s7 and she mentioned the Lumia dock works fine with the HTC 10. She was able to connect peripherals, hard drives, mirror the screen, and charge at the same time. This is awesome! and has me strongly considering switching from my LG V10 to the HTC 10. Surprised nobody is mentioning it given the hype of the Lumia functionality. The HTC 10 can be the first strong go at an android phone being used as a real desktop replacement. Now just need the right apps. I wish full chrome could run on android then this could be a chromebook/desktop replacement.

You'd think they'd be marketing that feature to stand out some more. I'm surprised there isn't an official HTC accessory.
Well, the specifications do list Display Port under connectivity so...there you go.

[Review] Choetech QC 3.0 car charger

For anyone in the market for a new quick charger for their car....
I picked up one of these off a large online retailers site. Model CHOE-C0046T Best part was it included a new USB C cable. I suspect by their product listing on their website this item will undergo a single change where the quick charge port itself will be USB C... Right now both ports are USB A with one QC 3.0 and one regular usb port.
Charger has been working great and for $13.99 you can't beat it in price considering it comes with a cable.
Specs from details page...

I must agree with Dottat on this device. I also picked one up, and must say even at $13.99, it's a hard deal to pass up.
The USB-C cable seems solid. The charger itself is compact and small, so it doesn't protrude insanely far from your
cigarette lighter outlet.
Dottat gave many of the specs, so there's no need to repeat them all here. Suffice it to say, I am a satisfied customer
with this purchase!
Very nice car charger here, and the fact that it comes with a good quality USB type c cable makes it even better. Very small and compact. Great addition to my HTC 10!

So, before i get into this further, i would like to acknowledge that i received a discount on the device to write a review. With that being said, here goes: The highlighted blue USB slot is the QC 3.0, while the other is the 2.4A smartport. I own an HTC10, and it charged my device rapidly without getting hot in the 18 minute trip from work to home. It does trigger the rapid charger connected on the 10, which means it is taking advantage of the QC 3.0. The type-c cable is very well built and solid. This charger is great bang for the buck.
I also just picked this up Monday. I must say I'm impressed. Charges my phone great. Plus I got a free cord with it can't beat that. I recommend this to anyone looking for a 3.0 rapid charger for car.
I wanted to chime in on this since I grabbed one of these off Amazon. The USB cable seems of good quality, as does the actual charger itself. I have two HTC 10 devices and have now used this to charge both of them many times. I experienced no issues so far and everything appears to work quite well. The phones charged up quickly, as I would expect from a QC3 device. This was not a brand I was aware of before purchasing this product, that said I will definitely be looking at their stuff going forward.
I also received this car charger for review. Here is my review that I posted on Amazon:
I tested this CHOETECH QC 3.0 USB Type C Car Charger with my HTC 10. The charger charged my HTC 10 at full QC 3.0 speeds while testing. So far I have not run into any issues with the charger and it fits into my car's port with no issues. The car charger is actually much smaller than I was expecting, but still fits without issue.
Pros:
- Small size
- Comes with a USB C cable
- Charges at advertised speeds
Cons:
- None that I know of yet. I will update my review if I find any.
I have received this product for free or discounted price for my unbiased review. This does not affect my review score, as I try to review each item honestly.
I received a large discount in exchange for a review on Amazon as well. This is the second item I've received from Choetech (both were at a discount and I'd not previously heard of the company) and I've been very pleased with both. This car charger in particular is very nice. I don't think there's a whole lot to say about car chargers; either they perform as advertised or they don't, and this one does. It charges my LG G5 quickly without heating up and is small enough that I can leave it plugged in all the time. I do wish both ports were QC 3.0, but overall, that's the only thing I would change about it. It's a nice bonus that it also came with a decent quality USB-A to USB-C cable.
I too received a Choetech QC 3.0 USB Type C Charger, as I've done some reviews for Choetech in the past. I got this at a discount, but those who have read my reviews in the past know I can be overly critical BECAUSE I get things discounted. This, in the short time I've used it, seems like a hit. I mean, nobody is going to drop their pants for a car charger, right? It's a solid little unit, looks to be well constructed, and comes with a good quality A to C USB cable of decent length and thickness. QC 3.0 on one port, standard charging on the second, and it worked reliably in the week I tested it.
I have also received this device on discount and have zero complaints. Worked great on all three of my USB c devices. All hardware that was included is of top quality and works as advertised. Only thing I wish is that the cord coiled up so that it isn't laid out on the floor of my truck or in my console.
Sent from my HTC6545LVW using Tapatalk
As everyone else said, this charger works great, exactly as advertised. I've used it on a few longer trips now, and have had no trouble getting to full charge nearly as fast as on my home charger. If you have multiple devices, you might want to check out a multi-QC3.0 charger rather than the one QC, one regular port, but for a single phone and a GPS, this works perfectly.
Quick question that might be a little obvious... Can I charge any kind of device on the second (non-blue-non-quickcharge) USB port?

Puts your phone in quick charge mode after you plug it in and a short car ride later you arrive home with a charged up device.

I'm pretty sure the original htc car charger does not support QC 3.0 rapid charging unlike the Choetech. You will only be able to charge at slower speeds.

Yes, it's true.
Awesome find. I did not see this brand on the qualcomm website. Is it due to list being not up to date? Also do you guys use the phone while it is charging? I pretty much drive around and use gps all day. Would this be in while in charger? If not can I just use the usb c cable this charger comes with and stick it in my regular t Mobile charger? If I use it that way would it be ok to charge and use phone without overheating battery? Thanks in advance
