ROOT
Done with iROOT (former vRoot). After that I manually installed SuperSU apk, updated it, and checked ROOT with MTK Droid Tools. Then I again removed iROOT with Link2SD, because I don't want to use iROOT as main ROOT app because it is in chinese and also install some bloatware I don't like. So now I just have SuperSU and still have full ROOT access.
Antutu Benchmark 5.3 score
Close to 20.000. Far away from the original but if you compare that with the iNew V3 Plus that runs the MTK6592 Octa-Core and has 2GB of RAM (also gets around 20K in score). Then the NO.1 MI4 with only the MTK6582 and 1GB of RAM does it pretty well.

IOCEAN X7 HD (2014 version) 5.0" IPS OGS HD screen, 1GB/8GB ROM, MTK6582, 4.4 KitKat
Hi guys, I just got my IOCEAN X7 HD, not the newest device anymore, but I thought I would still post my personal review and some videos of this nice smartphone. What I got is the 2014 version that comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box. Also it has a 5.0" IPS OGS HD screen, 1GB/8GB ROM and uses the MTK6582.

My verdict - camera:
The camera can deliver some pretty good pictures in the proper environment. And from my samples you can see that the pictures are pretty sharp and have some very good vivid colours. Overall I am very surprised and satisfied with the camera part, and it delivers better results than some of its competitors. For an 8 MP china camera this is fully approved.
AnTuTu 5.1 score: I got about 17100
Root: The phone comes with a pre-root feature in the settings
OS: Comes with 4.4.2 KitKat but I think the UI is based on YunOS with support for themes. The icons are similar to the ones from MIUI.
There are 5 different IOCEAN X7 versions out. 3 of them are from 2013 and 2 of them are released in 2014. The differences are in the price, MTK chipset, RAM & ROM size, and what Android version they use. Here a list:
IOCEAN X7 MTK6589 1.2Ghz 1GB RAM/4GB ROM Android 4.2 (Released in 2013)
IOCEAN X7 Youth/Turbo MTK6589T 1.5Ghz 1GB RAM/4GB ROM Android 4.2 (Released in 2013)
IOCEAN X7 Elite MTK6589T 1.5Ghz 2GB RAM/32GB ROM Android 4.2 (Released in 2013)
IOCEAN X7 HD MTK6582 1.3Ghz 1GB RAM/8GB ROM Android 4.4 (Released in 2014)
IOCEAN X7S-T MTK6592 1.7Ghz 2GB RAM/16GB ROM Android 4.4 (Released in 2014 - costs 50 USD more than the X7 HD version)
I would not recommend anyone to choose the MTK6589/MTK6589T chipsets anymore as they are outdated and have batterydrain bugs and bad GPS. They are now replaced with the newer and better MTK6582/MTK6592 (though 6582 is a lower number than 6589, it is still newer).

Yes in terms of raw specs, but the price is also much higher for the X8 Mini Pro (there are like 70 USD difference). Don't forget that.

IOCEAN M6752 "ROCK" 4G/LTE 64bit MT6752 Octa Core, 3GB RAM, Full HD

Hi out there, The IOCEAN M6752 is using the 64bit MT6752 Octa Core chipset. It has some really good specs, like 3GB RAM and support for LTE/4G. What are your thoughts about this? Below here you can see some pictures & videos of the phone and the specs.
It is a close competitor to for example the ZOPO ZP920 or Jiayu S3 which are running with very similar specs. But the IOCEAN is cheaper than these.

Very quick, just go to phone Settings > Security > Superuser (enable this) and you have ROOT enabled
There is also now a new update, if you check under Wireless Update in About.
But after the update the "Variety Unlock" has disappeared. So the custom unlock screens are not available anymore. I hope IOCEAN fix this with the next update, as I am missing the waterdrop unlockscreen now.

seem camera is not so bad though.
what about GPS sensitivity when driving ?
if you had choice, did you prefer this one over Ulefone Be touch or umi eMax ?
best regards

iNew is back with the iNew L3 (MT6735 1.3Ghz midrange).
The iNew L3 could be a worthy successor to the V3 from 2014. It doesn't have NFC, but instead an IR Blaster!
The design and build quality of this phone is top notch! and the flat design does have some similarities to the Sony Xperia Z3, especially the round button found on the right side.
The square corners aren't really seen like this before, most new phones now comes with round corners and all look the same, so personally I like it on the L3, and it is very comfortable in the hand!
And to everyone who will say that the battery is too small. With the combination of MTK6735 + HD 720P it is actually not that bad. Still I do only really recommend this model for light users.
Highlights
- MTK6735 1.3 GHz quad core
- 5.0 inch screen IPS HD 1280x720 pixels
- Nano-coating that makes the phone water-resistant
- 13MP main camera (Sony sensor) + 5MP front camera
- 2 GB RAM + 16 GB ROM
- Android 5.0 / Hotknot
- 2 launchers, 1 stock & 1 with themes

- Notification LED
- Dual Micro SIM
- Touch Buttons with backlight
- 7.1mm thin design
- IR Blaster
- 2150 mAh battery / 1.5A charger (fast charging)
- Smart wake & offscreen gestures
- Supports 2G & 3G & 4G LTE Network
- Network: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz, WCDMA 900/2100MHz, FDD-LTE B1/B3/B7/B20

We have no finished ROMS yet, however in the Mi4C forum, we have 2 (AOSP/CM and RR) that are both under active development under a unified base (Mi4C/Libra and Mi4S/Aqua) that in time will fully support the Mi4S. Currently the only non functioning hardware is the fingerprint reader so they're very usable as daily driver ROMs

REVIEW
Review of Leagoo M8
DESIGN
The new LEAGOO M8 comes with a 5.7″ display, 2.5D IPS screen with 1280 x 720 screen resolution (HD) and Gorilla Glass 4 to protect it. The M8 comes in three cool color variants namely, Titanium gray, Galaxy Silver and Champagne Gold.
HARDWARE
The hardware is similar to the M5, so under the hood we will find the well known Quad Core MTK6580A clocked at 1.3GHz. With the SoC, the M8 has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD.
FEATURES
In the camera department, there are a F2.2 13MP on the back with AF and LED flash. The front camera hosts an F2.0 8MP sensor. Under the rear camera, there is the 0.19s fast fingerprint reader. In addition, the Leagoo M8 comes with Freeme OS 6.0, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Lastly, the M8 adopts Awinic K7 chip which features Hi-Fi standard sound and Box Speaker to elevate your listening to music experience. 8 MP (SW 13 MP) main camera 5 MP + (SW 8 MP) front camera. Supports Dual SIM and supports only 2 G & 3 G network.
BATTERY
The Leagoo M8 comes with a 3.500mAh battery. The big batter, with the low-power MTK6580A SoC in combination with the 720p resolution, should give an excellent performance and more than one dasy of normal use.
CONCLUSION
The Leagoo M8, the new creation of Leagoo, comes with some good specs. For sure the battery will last for about two days.
Cheapest smartphone
Leagoo M8 have many reason to buy, like a cheapest, bigger screen, huge memory, great battery capacity and Excellent camera.
Looks great!!! Also the Leagoo M8 Pro just got released so might be interesting how that one performs and how much better it really is.
